Hi girls,
Well JD is wonderful. He now has playtime after each feed during the day and I love it. I read to him and he sits there laughing and staring at me while he smiles. I cant get enough of him. Such a huge difference from the way I felt in the first month. I think it has helped that the reflux is settling down all thanks to the Zantac. I just put it in his bottles 3 times a day so its much easier. I read that you could do that, so its much easier than fussy with him which he hates.
He had his needles on Friday and after waiting for over 2 hours to see the Dr he was very brave and only cried for about 10 minutes before falling back asleep. He now weighs 5.5kg. I thought he weighed more but I was wrong. Last night he slept from 1.30am till I had to wake him up at 8am this morning. I think he could have stayed in bed longer but I didn't want him getting to grumpy. So he is impressing us thats for sure.
I went to the craft fair today and got some lovely scrapbooking material so I can start making some nice pages of him. Might get time tomorrow if he has a nice nap after Mothers Group. I am so excited that this year will be my first Mothers Day although I doubt we will do anything special but it would be nice to go for a picnic somewhere just the three of us. Will see how we go.
Things are going really nicely with Harley, lately he has been sleeping about 6-7 hours, then wakes for bottle, and goes back down for 4 hours, so normally I wake either 2am or 3am and then he goes to either 6.30 or 8am! Pretty happy bout that.
I've had my first AF as well and boy its not been nice, cos I've had breakthrough bleeding due to missing the pill a couple of days when we went camping, so since having Harley i've only prob had a week and half break of no bleeding at all!! Its had me down in the dumps and my anxiety has started up again, having all these attacks, and the other night we went to get dinner, got home and once I was out of the car and had Harley, I felt like I was going to tip over, Rob had to take Harley and I just had to sit down, think it was cos my blood level was low and due to not having enough water, but yeh it bought on another attack...so I went to bed after Harley had his bottle at 8pm and we both got 6 hours sleep!
I just don't know wat to do about this anxiety, I feel like i'll be better going back on the medication... even though I don't want to rely on it, but I know I relaxed alot better with it... I just have this one huge fear, ever since I had a horse fall that caused my anxiety, and since having children, this fear is stronger, and thats of death...so everytime something is going wrong with me, I think the worst... I know I should speak to someone, but I just don't know if its going to cost me alot... I have so many issues that have happened thru my life, I'm finally so happy but this anxiety is driving me crazy!!!
Sorry to ramble on... but I needed to get it off my chest...
Hope u girls are all well and Amanda I'm so happy for u and JD!! Really makes me smile to hear u guys going well
All good here. I had my MIL arrive on Thursday night. She was ment to fly home last night but Jetstar screwed up her ticket so she had to fly home on a 7am flight today with Virgin...was great to have her an extra night though!
Sickness....Chelsea vomited all over her bed and carpet last night.....now today Jasmine is sick with a cold... that Zachery doesnt get it now.
He was soooo wingey last night i had ti give his last feed at 930pm....i knew he'd wake early...i was thinking maybe 5/6am instead of the usual 7am...but nope...345am!!!!
Craig had to get up at 430 to take his mum to the airport but he got an earlier wake up!
Anyhow, Zach was back to sleep by 5am and only just woke again at 11am
I feel horrible and feel im getting sick now too
Deb thats not good about the anxiety, maybe some meds or even talking to some one will help you deal with it a bit?
Deb I posted a big post last night but I lost it, bummer! You can get your GP to put you on the same program I am on. Its through Medicare and they pay for I think 12 visits to a physcologist (sp?). Anyway there is no harm in asking. You usually have to fill out a few questions to see if you qualify or not but its easy. Well worth a try, what have you got to loose. I am actually starting to feel a lot more in control more than I ever have. Which makes me wonder if I should have been on these meds a while back. I haven't had a panic attack in a few weeks now and that seems to be making JD happier also as they can pick up on our moods.
Anyway, I am off to the gym soon so better get ready. Take care girls.
Sorry ladies that i have not been posting - so busy as you can understand - at the end of the day I look around the house and it looks like I have not done a thing and yet have been flat out. April doing well - for the 3 nights before last she slept 6 hrs straight, then 6 hrs and then 8 hrs. Last night she woke up at 1.30am tho so Im not getting too excited just yet. But I think last night I should have gotten her up at 10.30pm just for a feed to get her thru the night - work in progress anyway. It's DS that's pretty much driving me around the bend at the moment - boy I hope this stage passes quickly. I read your posts when I can. Love to you all and to your beautiful babies. Would love to have a catch-up if you guys were planning one.
Paula I know how u feel with ur DS, its Charlotte that drives me crazy here! Harley is a pretty good baby, just like his sister was, but now shes 2.5 and boy its just nuts!! But still I love her heaps!
Amanda: thanks for that info, will bring it up to the doctor when I see him hopefully this Sunday! I just wanna feel sane again lol! But I guess it comes with the job lol
I'll keep u posted to how I go... I've felt a bit better the past couple of days, but yeh anything seems to set me off!!!
I've got my sister, her hubby and kids staying with me till Saturday so hopefully it goes well...will be interesting seeing how my niece and Charlotte go!
I had Harley sleeping 6 hours last night, been giving him dreamfeeds at night cos he seems to be out to it by 6pm and I just dont think he would sleep thru as good, so dream fed him around 10.30 and he went thru till 5am! Couldn't be happier atm!
We got Larissa to sleep between 9pm and 8am! She's just getting more perfect everyday!! We sent off for her aussie and uk passports today, hopefully theyll come back soon. Not really much else to say apart from shes spewing a lot at the moment so the doc has asked us to get a urine sample for her to check if its a urine infection and i have to have an ultrasound done to see if theres a reason why i'm still bleeding.
Amanda, I can't believe at 5.45 you were getting ready to go to the gym! You are amazing!!!
