    Hi everyone,
Good to hear everyones updates, sorry I havent the energy to reply individually! I read the daily updates on email, and thats about as much time as I get on the computer at the moment.

This week has been a struggle for me, Addie has decided to become a complete cuddly mums girl and only wants me. She has never been a big day sleeper (20-40 mins at a time) so I dont get much done when she sleeps!! (shower, eat etc come first!) It was so good to be able to hand her over to Dad when he got home, but she doesnt want him at all! As soon as he is holding her- she looks at me, her eyes fill with tears and she starts crying with this expression that says "how could you hand me over!!" She is feeding a lot and doing more comfort bb sucking that ever (still fully breast fed) though we have started solids a couple of days this week.

Has this happened to anyone else? She is not bad in the mornings, and is still pretty happy, just doesnt want to be put down. I use my carrier all the time!

Oh well, at least I feel wanted! Better go have to check email, facebook, bb etc etc!!!

Hawksey, yep, Madeleine is the same. I don't get much done through day but when my DP is home, he takes her so I can at least do some things. Even to go to toilet I have to put her in bouncer outside door, it's so weird how I can't even leave her sight without her crying. She is definately a Mummy's girl. What is she like when you shower? Madeleine stays in her bouncer in front of shower door and likes watching me, does your little one have a bouncer? I normally give her a toy or something to play with whilst I am in there.

I know what you mean though, I think at this stage, they definately go through a sooky stage of always wanting Mumma!

Good to hear from you, Love Belinda xx

Hi Bindy! Showering this week has waited till she has fallen asleep for her first nap. That hasnt been till 10am some days. I must try the bouncer in front of the shower screen- I havent been putting it where she can see me!! Her attention span with toys is shorter than usual too. I hope it is only a short while!!
Last night she went to bed at 7pm, woke at 8.30, 10.30, 12,(we fell asleep on the couch but as soon as I went to put her in her cot she woke- finally to cot at 1am) woke 3.30 (I gave her panadol then and she finally went back to sleep at 4 and slept till almost 8.) So we are all tired and grumpy today. I hope this passes soon! (oh and each time DH went to get her- she cried harder and I had to get her anyway!)

Better go, hope you have a good day!

Mary, Madeleine's attention span with toys is short too, she gets really frustrated with them quickly. Well Madeleine slept at 7-9pm, then fed half bottle at 9pm, slept from 9-10pm, had rest of bottle then slept until midnight...woke and restless, then woke again at 3am, went back to sleep then fed her at 4.45pm plus nappy change (screamed) then slept until 8am....OMG! I am hoping this passes soon, we are tired today and she's really grumpy today and refusing her solids a bit. I hope you get some rest today.

    Hello~

Belinda - Hmm longest I've done alone is about 45 min drive.. and wasn't so pleasant! But that was a few weeks ago and for the last couple of weeks she's been pretty good in the car... I just hope that she'll sleep most of the way and I don't have to sit w/ her at the back! Poor hubby tho - what's he gonna do every time we stop to feed? Hehe.. he says he'll study for a certification or something.. what a good hubby...

Karen - Sounds like we are kind of in the same boat...Am takes 130ml of formula after a full BF...which makes me think if I produced more milk she would've drank much more and gotten much fatter... I keep getting comments like "oh she's so tiny.....all bones...." but she doesn't look unhealthy at all...just smaller than others around the same age...

Wa it's just so amazing how different all the bubs are huh?.. some are sitting.. some aren't even rolling yet (mine).. some 10kg.. some just over 6 (mine)...

Q for Melbournians! - I'll be staying in the CBD for a few days - where are the parents rooms? Are they good?
Also is there a parents room at touristy places like the 12 Apostles?...Dandenong ranges? Puffing Billy train?....
Any tips will save us soooo much trouble and time! Thanks in advance!

Also, have anyone still going through the phase where your hair's still falling out by clumps?
I've been going through it for 2 mths now and srsly don't have much hair left...
I don't know whether this is normal or it's excessive and I should see a GP...

    Have a good week guys!

    Hi ladies!

Not much news here. Amy still isn't rolling but she sat up on her own today. Lost her balance after not long but still, she sat! I'm so proud of my little premmie!! I think she may have a bit of a cold cos her nose is a bit blocked and she keeps coughing. It's just a dry cough though so hopefully it doesn't get too much worse.

I'm sorry I don't have time for individual posts. Amy has been grizzly too although has settled down in the past couple of days. The health nurse said she's teething but still no sign of the little things. She has a rash around her mouth too every now and then. Definitely cos of the dribble and the dummy cos it clears up overnight and then comes back through the course of the day.

I'm so sorry I can't do a long post. Have a million things waiting for me to do. Hope everyone is well. I'm sending good sleep vibes to those who haven't been getting any (me included!!). To those mummies who have light babies, soon your bubs will be on solids and it will all be a thing of the past. Some babies just aren't meant to be on the larger side. I TOTALLY understand the stress you are going through. Formula isn't poison though. It took me a long time to come to terms with ff Amy but now I wish I had started earlier. In the end, sometimes the benefits of formula outweigh the benefits of breast milk when there just isn't enough no matter what you try.

Enough from me. Off to do some washing....and maybe brush my hair!! Moonsun, my hair is falling out too. It's not abnormal. My friend had the same problem. Hers was coming out in clumps. Her hair was thin to start with and got really thick when she was pregnant. Now she's back to normal and has her thin hair back. Her bub is 7 months old now.

    Luv Nik and Amy xx

Moonsun: We drove for 5 hours straight when we went up for our wedding & honeymoon and that was when Bodie was 4 months. He is great in the car, slept most of the way. We stopped only when we had to feed him or stop for petrol! Hope your trip goes well!
Oh and on the hair situation, I had pretty long hair but had to cut it above my shoulders the other day because it's getting thinner & thinner. Not good! Wasn't really falling out in clumps though.

Nik: Yay for Amy sitting up by herself!

Tiff: Of course we remember you! hehe That's no good about you & Luca getting sick, you poor things. Hope all is well now.

This week Bodie's been rolling over non-stop! As soon as I put him on the ground, he rolls from his back to his belly... but then can't get back to where he started! Funny little man he is.

Is anyone going back to work next year? I'm on maternity leave from work for a year and am thinking of going back for 2 days in January. Not sure on child-care with him only going to be 1 year old at that stage but I guess 1 day a week's not going to hurt, and interaction with other kids will be good. I've just heard some stories from people that said they just put them in cots? Might go and check some Child Care centres out next week. I'm going to miss him sooooo much when I go back.

Better go and get dinner ready.

Hairless ones- my hairs still falling out too it's not as bad as it was a couple of moths ago though so it's slowing down thank god! I've also noticed I now have these little spikey new hairs around my hair line so must be new hair growing back YAY!! hope it grows fast he he.

Nik- Luca's not rolling much either it's strange though he can sit up un assisted for while and if he wants something and can't reach it he does this catterpilla thing with his legs on his back and man can he move

I got Luca a walker the other day and he just looooves it he's actually able to move around with it already! it's good because he's able to sit up with the older kids and interact with them, I have to take a picture lol it's very cute!

    Hi Ladies and bubs,

Mary, Billy has become the same - very clingy and cuddly. I kinda love it.

Oh, my hair's falling out big time. I don't have that much to begin with either - it's quite thin and fine... dammit! I just got Mum to cut about 15cm off it. I'm hoping that will make it lighter and healthier. Looks ok.

Billy has started rolling from tummy to back however it looks more like "tipping" - not rolling. ha ha ha... I think he's getting a tooth, bottom, left middle. I can feel something but not sure.

It's too cold to sit at the computer today. I shall be back later.

    Love to all.

Lune, yes hair was coming out in clumps for first 5 months! Only last couple of weeks it has stopped, perfectly normal I've heard....I was vacumming all the time, LOL

Nik, Madeleine also has that rash around mouth that comes and goes. I agree with you on FF.

April, nah I'm not returning to work, going to be a SAHM.

Madeleine had not been sleeping through the night (waking 12 times some nights) for 3 weeks! Was soooooooooooo tired. Saw the nurse, she's teething big time and has all signs. However, was not drinking enough milk (only 100ml per feed) and was snacking (as on solids also). So I cut down on solids and now she's drinking 220ml per feed, making her fuller for longer. I only started cutting out solids at night time too and she slept through last night, let's hope she does it again tonight, perhaps solids at night were upsetting her. Who knows...maybe it is all developmental too.

Bought a BUMBO SEAT too for Madeleine, they are fantastic and she loves it!

Ooookkkkk....off to have some dinner (I know it's late but DP just got home as he's been at firemen union meeting about hours or something)....so we're having beef curry. I bought a slow cooker, best thing I EVER DID! YUM....stuff cooks all day and the meat turns out brilliant after hours and hours of cooking

Hello to everyone else, hope you're all well

Punky's got some teeth!! Sooooooo cute! (if a little painfull if she tries 'em out during a feed.. ouch!!)

I remember reading about the hair falling out thing when I was PG but nothing like that here, maybe it should've though - it's very 'peace & mung beans' looking atm, stoopid centre part lol.

I agree about the cold Kate... brrrrrrrrrrr!!!

    HELLO lovely Mummies and Bubbies,
Its been absolutely AGES! Ive missed reading about one and all. Good to read all are doing soooo well. (just took me HOURS of reading ) The different stages of all the little ones is amazing.

    Well.. the latest from us.
We arrived home from our overseas trip on Sunday. Boy we had a brilliant time. It was so good to see my dad hold and get to know his grandson after all that time!!! Brought tears to our eyes. My family in both Dubai and Holland where fabulous. I miss them so much!!! If only Europe was closer and cheaper to get too.

Joshua was brilliant the whole trip. Our routine was all over the shop. But he handled that well and we managed fine. Even being in and out planes.. cars and peoples arms.. the little man wasn't worried! I'M SO VERY VERY VERY PROUD OF HIM! The only drama we had in regards to flying was the home trip. Flying from Dubai back to Brisbane via Singapore. We where not allocated the bassinet seats as per normal and what we paid for!! Lucky enough we where moved, thanks to some very understanding people the first of the 2 flights. Other young babies where not so lucky!!! But the second flight (same plane) no one wanted to move and give up their "extra" leg room. So my little angel was in my arms the entire 8 hours. Needless to say .. he was less than happy about that. It sure made his sleeping, his farex eating, and our eating a challenge. Not too mention our own rest. We got through it.. but very cranky!

Since arriving home, the little man has been the most unsettled in the whole trip. Jet lag is hard enough on me as an adult... Joshua just didn't know night from day anymore. Today is the first day of normality. He slept through better!! Making me more rested too.

I gave him a bottle of formula for the last feed before bed. As the last couple of weeks he seems to need more. Started him on the farex while with my parents in Dubai. BOY did he gobble that down like a little trooper!! But I found in the last couple of days/nights he still wants more from me than I seem to have. Starting to feel the loss of our close contact and bond. And at the same time looking forward to a little more "freedom". Being able to leave him with family while we go out for a nice dinner!! Goes to show for every negative there is a positive.

Other than that.. we are trying to get back to normality. DH lost his license so im driving him too and from work. We are looking to move by the end of the year. And I have this burning desire to organise my house and life completely! Go figure. So busy busy busy little bee!

Might leave my essay at that. Look forward to reading more news and adventures from you. Take Care.

    Hi everyone!

Welcome back Tascha, hope Josh is settling back down into Aussie time nicely! Glad you had a wonderful time!

We have had a much better week, Addie has settled down a lot with the clinging, and happy to go to dad again (except when she is really tired or hungry!!) So I am happy about that. No teeth, so dont think it was related to teething!

We are going well on our start onto solids, still having farex once, now twice a day, introducing a new mixer every few days. We have tried apple, pear, sweet potato, carrot and today was banana! Everything has gone down well with her being so bright and alert and interested in the food- the mouth is open for evry mouthful and she looks for more even when she has finished!
She still has just as much boob as before, I had really started to notce her feeding more frequently and not seeming satisfied with just the milk, so it has been better on the little solids we are introducing.

Well hope everyone has a great week. Will check in when I can!

    Hugs
    Mary and Addie

Hey Tascha, welkom terug! Yep, lots to catch up on hey?! Glad you had such a great time overseas. It is too far and too expensive tho huh? I so desperately wanna visit Australia again but there's no chance in hell with my pay

Well, not much interesting too report here really, we're slowly introducing solids here as in giving Sander a bite of our food so he will learn about the different tastes. BF will be the main source of food for him. Whenever we have bread, we give him some to chew on, he loves that. I gave him some mashed banana out of a jar today, he hated that! He was obviously thinking I had gone bonkers trying to feed him that!
DH give him a bit of boiled egg, he hated that too.
His sleeping is somewhat improving but it still very much up and down with him.
He loves to stand on his own two feet, and only needs little support with that! Very proud of him. He still won't roll but enjoys tummy time.

My hairloss seems to have settled thank God.

Well that's about it from me!

Hope everyone is doing well! Can you imagine that it was just about 5 months ago we still had to start this journey with our bubs??

Vic, you got teeth too? Us too! Nik, did Amy get teeth too? I saw something on your f/book wall about it.

When is B's tooth actually gonna stick out and be useful? Poor little man.
