Hi Everyone, it's been a while since I've been here, but we have been soooo busy. We finally sold our car and have a new one which was a bit of a stress time in our house as DH works so hard and then on his days off we were dragging him around car yards. As it worked out I bought a car and he didn't see it until I picked it up (except via the internet!) Luckly he is happy with it so it all worked out in the end. The weekend just gone we went to Sale for DH"s step fathers 60th which was a good weekend, but DH went out on the town and got home at 5.15am on Sunday morning much to my disgust which meant I had to drive the whole 2.5 hours home with him snoring in my ear. Poor Mackenzie had a bad Saturday night and woke up at 3am, DH sent me a text at 12.30am saying he wasn't far away and then rang me at 5.15am to tell me he was waiting for a cab. Needless to say I hung up on him! Anyway, that aside (thanks for letting me vent my whinge!) we had a great weekend as my family live there too and we stayed with them which was great. I had a quick skimp over the old thread and hope all the sickies are better and all the pregnant ones are going well. Nikki

    Hello girls!

Can I just say "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR" I am sooooo over these sleepless nights!! Zara wakes twice, Wolf wakes twice ... I don't think I am getting more than 2 hour sleep-bits at a time. I am knackered. Once we know whether we are moving to Switzerland or staying in London, I will bite the bullet and do a few nights of controlled crying for both of them. I want my sleep back!! It wasn't a problem before but now with 2 kids winding up in our bed at night, it just gets too crowded. Wolf has had a few nights where he slept through, but recently he wakes 2 - 3 times at night. I just don't know what's going on. Zara is sick (sniffly and coughing) and is also major cranky at night. I feel like a wreck most days... I was so happy initially when Zara just woke once and Wolf had nights where he slept through but in the last month or so it has all gone pear shaped...
    Any tips are welcome!

    Now to some personals:
Sherie - glad to hear yours have been late teethers too. Yes, I have heard that if you get teeth late, they will stay longer.. but it's probably just one of those old wives' tales...

Jo - yikes on the scare with Kaleb! Glad to hear it wasn't hives! Have I mentioned that I love the name Freya?

Kellee - Wolf speaks English and German (I am German). It's so funny - he will go "heiss heiss heiss" and then "HOT" - everyone around him will be bilingual soon! Even our nanny from Perth knows all of the German words he uses now - he he.
re. DTD ... I still haven't... I am just too tired to even think about it... plus I have been bleeding all the time since birth.. which I had checked out recently. It turns out, I have a 4.5cm big cyst in my ovaries. Woopdidoo, like having the 7cm haematoma after birth wasn't enough... will have to have it checked out again soon.

btw - Wolf had a phase where he was quite nasty to Zara and would want to make her cry but I started rewarding good behaviour with chocolate and now he is really sweet with her. Now he wants to make her giggle and it just melts my heart when he does.

Christy - glad to hear Matilda also just had 6 teeth at 18 months. Makes me a bit less worried... I mean, I am sure they will come.. but it just has been ages since something happened in his gums...

Jessica - arrg on the rotavirus. Hope you are over it. I feel like I have gone from one virus to the next recently... are there a lot of bugs and viruses floating around recently or is it just me? (or is this what happens when you have kids, you suddenly are sick constantly?) - yeah.. it definitely feels like the kids are constantly sick too, doesn't it? I think it's just normal...

Michelle - OMG - I can't believe Jordan has her period! That is just.. well... I guess normal, but boy it would freak me out. I had enough trouble dealing with Wolf's morning wood one morning (just closed the nappy again and hoped for it to go away, lol)
arrrg on DH and the "what have you been doing today" comment... I think it's time you dump the kids on him and have a spa day on your own to remind him

Kathryn - congrats on boy no. 3. DH's friends here in London are in the exact same position... pregnant with boy no.3.

Theresa - hope the specialist will sort the food issues out!

BTW - I have no idea who or what Fifi is... can someone clue me in?
The Wiggles are touring the UK... luckily Wolf is not aware they exist. He is currently going through a Bob the Builder phase .... well, I guess having no TV helps with not getting too hooked on all the TV characters. But he saw it at my mom's place and now sings the song in German (soooooooo cute)

Christy Ė sorry, weíre not meaning to scare you with our stories of two little ones! Itís not so bad really (says she with two babies asleep atm!). It does take a bit of getting used to Ė for everyone involved Ė but you find your groove eventually. And you can vent to us anytime you like! Good idea with the DVDs too. I think Iíll definitely be doing more of that when DH goes back to work. Poor little Matilda with her head! Glad it seems to be recovering well though. Hope you get some sleep Ė I know itís hard, but youíll get through.

Jessica Ė so glad I didnít offend you. I was worried about that! Love your new avatar too.

Mitch Ė donít worry, Iíve certainly had my moments of nearly losing it! I think that last time I was so unprepared for how hard it could be, but this time I prepared myself a bit better (mainly because I didnít want to get PND again) so Iím rationalising everything and not allowing myself to get overwhelmed by it all. We tend to have a couple of bad nights followed by a couple of good ones, so Iím not too worried. Hope you get your website up and running properly soon so you can start making some moulah! BTW, regarding your messy houseÖ my favourite fridge magnet says ďDull women have immaculate homesĒ. Thatís my excuse anyway!

Mel Ė glad to hear that Eliana is almost back to normal. That strawberry farm sounds awesome! Youíre lucky to live so close to one.

Nikbrad Ė donít worry about the vent! We all need to do that sometimes. Glad you got the new car, and that you had a good time in Sale (despite DHís drunkenness!). Hope Mackenzie has some better nights since Saturday.

Snowy Ė Big hugs to you. Just keep telling yourself that this phase wonít last forever, and before you know it youíll be wishing they were both small again! Hope you find out where youíre going to live soon so that you can start cc and get some sleep again! You poor thing with your cyst and haematoma. Thatís terrible for you. I hope youíre able to sort it out soon. It must be great having no TV Ė I often wish we didnít either, but then I would miss Hugh Laurie too much, I think!

Well Charlie seems to be settling down with the crying a bit, thank goodness. He still gets a bit perturbed by Toby crying at times, but recently if he reacts itís to get attention more than from actual distress, so thatís something. I wonder how heíll go when DH goes back to work? Itís been so much easier on Charlie while DH has been here because he has still been able to have a bit of attention. I hope I can keep that up when itís just me and the kids. Anyway, might go and check on my lovelies now Ė Toby had this weird rash on his head (on the top, just one side) when I fed him at 9.30, so I thought Iíd wait up and check it again to make sure it didnít get any worse. Funny thing is, DH and I think it might be beard rash from when DH was settling him earlier in the dark before he went to bed! Hope thatís all it is Ė it wasnít accompanied by anything else sinister, so I think itís ok for the moment. Hope those with two get some sleep and everyone else is doing well.

Hello all!! Just going to do a slack post with no personals LOL

Things are going better this week. We had a shocker last week, not only with her head but with behavioural stuff & tantrums again. I de-briefed about it LOL so I am feeling better & more confident now (gotta love BB!). I don't know what has changed but the last few days we have had less tantrums again... I wish I knew what was going on in that little head sometimes. Don't we all

Tomorrow we are off to the doctor to recheck her head. I can't figure out how that purple glue is going to get off her head.... the other thing is one of her toe nails came off! I didn't even know there was anything wrong with it & suddenly it came off yesterday but there is still a small bit at the base which is pointing straight up, so I don't know if they will want to rip the rest of the nail off. I so don't want to be there if they do!

Hi everyone I have read all your posts but I am also too slack to do personals, my apologies!

We are all fine here. Grace's favourite word is "No" atm but its so cute - its her answer for everything, but then when she thinks about what you have just said she will change her mind. Like the other day DH was asking her different questions and she was answering no to everything, like "Grace do you want to have a nap?" "No" "Do you want to play?" "No" "Do you want a biscuit?" "No" then she thinks about it and then runs to the pantry to get a biscuit! She doesn't say yes yet. She is still a little tanty thrower but they are easier to deal with than Harry's! Except the other day she cracked it in woolies and started screaming and people were staring. The checkout girl even asked me if she was alright and when I said, yeah she's fine she's just chucking a tantrum she gave me this raised eyebrow look. Meh whatever. At least she was in her pram so she was restrained somewhat and I could make a fast exit!

Oh Bon and Christy, gotta love the tanties. This morning I tried to leave the house at 10.15 as I had a few things to do before we went off to playgroup, well, we left at 11. This was due to Mackenzie deciding that she dosn't want to wear pants anymore. She managed to get her dirty PJ pants which I'd thrown down the stairs but hadn't put into the laundry on and thought that if she was to wear pants then these were the ones. Well this was about tantie number 5 for the morning which has been hard for her as DH told her this morning that he wouldn't see her tonight (he's away with work). For the first time she was devastaed and didn't want him to go. She was hanging onto his legs sobbing. It was really sad. Anyway back to the pants drama - I finally got a pair of pants on and one shoe after being hit about a dozen times and she was sobbing, snot all over her face etc and she told me she needed to do poo. As we are attempting TT I decided I couldn't just ignore her so everything comes off, onto the toilet for 5 seconds and then off she goes running around the house. So back to square one except this time I had to try and get a nappy on too. Needless to say we got there but ...... there was more to come at the supermarket (forgot a few things when I shopped online this week - damn). We eventually got to playgroup 10 minutes late but she had a great time and was well behaved. She's sleeping like an angel now and I'm sure she will wake up in a great mood. I love her!
Snowy - do you have any family around you? All our family are 2.5 hours away and I find it hard sometimes not being able to just drop in for some Granny time.

OMG not long after my last post I heard Grace crying in her cot so I go in to see her but Harry got there first and he shouts out "Mum Gracies done a poo!". UH OH I think - sure enough, she has taken off her pants, then her nappy then she has pooed in her cot and got it all over her newly changed sheets, her clothes and herself! So into the bath she goes and gets scrubbed from head to toe, hair washed as she got a bit there too, then bed has to be stripped, and everything chucked into the wash, hot cycle and pre-wash with nappy san. Arrrrgh! She is nice and clean now, as is her cot. At least its a funny story to tell when she is older tee hee. I think just about everyone has one of these stories don't they?

I've heard plenty of them Bon!!! I was on the phone with my friend who said her DS was waking up & then suddenly she hung up the phone. When I spoke to her next she said he walked out of his room covered in poo, he had done a poo taken everything off, smeared the walls, bed, carpet EVERYTHING with poo. Thank goodness Grace was in her cot!!

I have found Matilda a few times in her room after a nap starkers. I always am grateful that she hasn't done anything yet.

Hey girls, i just had to share this with you all! Not sure if anyone has seen them but i just saw a crayola drawing pack with textas that ONLY draw on the special paper. It doesn't draw on skin, clothes, walls or anything except the paper that comes with it! How cool is that? I just had to buy it.

Bon - i so know how you feel! Lily did that at about age 8 months. She was in her cot, had done a poop and taken off her nappy then smeared it all over herself and started eating it, so gross! Occassionally now i find her just walking around the house without pants and nappy coz she's taken them off! She's very cheeky!

    hi everyone

i have been so slack to lately sorry. wow your little girls all taking their nappies off makes me laugh (sorry) luckily we haven't had that problem yet, a girlfriends daughter used to do it everytime she went to bed - she ended up having to put her to bed in overalls so she couldn't reach her nappy pmsl.

christy the glue just comes away, my ds did the head smash to the back of his head when i was 7mths preg with lani - and he had the lovely purple glue and a shaved head lol - he still talks about it - gosh he wears injuries like a badge of honour.

nothing much new is happening hear, lani is talking like a machine (takes after her mum lol) seriously i know ds wasn't talking clearly at this age, he used to speak gobbldy gook lol and i can't remember back to jessica but she wasn't as early as lani. lani is now singing the abc song in the car and she runs every night to get ds reader and starts shoving it in my face saying reader mummy reader, she will sit there and practice her words (they do the 100 magic words at school) and ds is so proud that lani can do some of the golden words lol - i even found her in the classroom today after school, shoving the little word cards in the teachers face = saying lani read = very cute and very funny but omg very draining lol.

other than that things are just cruising along - 2yr old molars are on their way and i haven't had her weighed but she feels heavier lol, would be interesting to see how much she weighs (i am guessing around 12kg's lol) she is little but i guess if you don't eat your dinner you ain't going to put on weight, she is so fussy but i am not stressed (went through the no eating crap to much with first dd) lani is just fussy and independant and head strong, she ate chow mein the other night and beef strog tonight so that was good but 3 nights prior she pushed her plate away and said no, so i leave her for around 20mins and she just sits in her highchair looking at her food saying no whilst we all eat - can't force it on her. i do give ds a yummy desert after his bath and lani thinks she is getting some to and the look of horror on her face when she sees it is her uneaten dinner reheated for her and ice cream and topping for ds is priceless but i think it is slowly working. she still won't eat vegies but i can sneak them in some stuff i know she will eat but i refuse to cook seperate food for her - she can eat what we eat (i might be mean saying that but that is a rule i have lived by and ds has a great appetite now and eats everything) if she doesn't eat her vegies she will get a piece of fruit for desert which she eats whilst looking at ds ice cream but she gets the good stuff when she eats everything and she runs around saying hooray lani ice cream lani ice cream, so i think she is getting the picture.

anyway enough about my daughters eating dramas lol, hope you are all well, i do read all the posts but i get so slack in replying lately. still nothing much happening on the ttc front, currently in the tww af due on tuesday so only 5 days to go, not holding my hopes up this month but whatever will be will be i guess.

have a great night and hope you are all going great

Michelle that is exactly what I am going through with Matilda's eating. I do the same thing 20 minutes & if its not eaten we go to do the bath. After the bath if we haven't had dinner ready yet for us DH & I eat dinner & she usually comes up & has something like yogurt but if she hasn't eaten she gets her dinner reheated & if she doesn't eat then, she gets nothing.

I'm actually relieved to hear that I'm not the only one doing that LOL.... I felt so mean at first, but she was getting sooo bad with eating that we had to draw the line. We do know her favourite foods & I make those a few times a week to make sure eating dinner isn't always a horrible experience & to know that she will actually eat something, but I got tired of her turning everything down but spaghetti bolognaise.

trust me, don't feel mean - it will get better. my ds was great until 2yrs of age then shocking till about the age of 4 1/2 yrs now he eats more than me and always ask for more vegies lol

jessie was a shocker, being my first and mil drumming it in to me that she should eat i did everything - dieticians, gps you name it we tried it, in the end i just tried not to get so frustrated and just chill out a bit and eventually it worked, she was slowly getting better tho. if you take a note of what matilda puts in her mouth and eats and drinks every day for a week you will be amazed at how much she really does eat.

i think dh is getting sick of the same old plain meals lol, might cook a hot curry for him and i tommorrow night and the kids can have fish fingers, chips and vegies although i know that lani won't eat the vegies but hey she might surprise me and eat a pea pmsl.

Yay, glad to hear others are having the same probs with dinner. Mackenzie was a champion eater until about 6 months ago and now the ONLY way I can get her to eat anything for dinner apart from ham and pasta is to drown everything in baked beans in ham sauce. Not the greatest but at least she's eating vegies again. Funny, I went to clean up the high chair to put it away 2 weeks ago and since then she wants to sit in the 'babies' chair everynight for dinner. She hasn't sat in it for 8 months but it's made life easy again now she does! No pushing the chair back or trying to escape! I too have tried the 'eat what is cooked or go with out' strategy and it works sometimes but we eat our meal late (usually after shes gone to bed as DH gets home late) but if she's still up and hasn't had dinner she might sit with us and have some yoghurt or fruit. Little buggers aren't they!

that was interesting.... posted here yesterday and it has disappeared!!!

ok first ....yesterday my darling boy turned 7, gosh time just flies and I already miss him being a little baby. We had family over and my sis and BIL were down as they had been on a skiing holiday and factored Johs's bday in and so visited this weekend. We will be having dinner with them tonight and they are heading home tomorrow arvo. Jordan is at a sleepover. Jess is sleeping atm which is nice. She wor undies this morning in the car and to mums and remembered wees, but did poo pebbles in them lol lucky it was firm and hard or it wouldn't have been nice.

I had a giggle at the poo stories,1 of ours ate her poo too once, Arrons fault as he let her run around in the lounge without a nappy and one thing led to another lol
Hang on I can hear a screaming child...Jess has woken up.

Snowy- I was hoping Jordan wouldn't get her period early but another uncontrollable event unfortunately, and I clearly remember her being a baby so it is incredily scary to think it has already hapened. I am even more stressed for her as she is going with MIL to QLD on the 27th for 5 days and if the period comes in the 28 days then she will be away, and MIL was going to take her to wet and wild water world, but if she gets her period she won't be able to swim. I was talking about it to Jordan today and I think she is a little worried too cos MIL is sort of useless IMO and I know Jordan is concerned about being in soemones house (she is staying with DH's Uncle and Aunty) and having her period, esp when they have 2 little kids and no big daughters.

CHristy hope the drs trip went ok and Matilda is fully recovered, didshe get a scar?

I have a fussy dinner eater too, although Jess LOVES roasts and hates pumkin and potato. SHe was always independent and wouldn't let us feed her and that meant she ate way less than IO liked. My gf's bub is 3 months younger than Jess and most nigts eats bread and butter for dinner after refusing her food and throwing it all around lol

Michelle I did giggle at Lanis dinner vs Jay's ice cream lol Seems little Lani is going alon fine, we too have the language explosion. SHe is a total parrot and sings too, which is absolutely gorgeous.

Nikbrad- yay on the car and lolat the tantrums, I think it is just the age for it, Jess does some beauties too, but no worst tantrumer atm is Jemma who is sooking and crying and screamng hysterically at almost everything atm, driving me crazy I can tell you.

Bon- YUCK!!!! Hope you don't have to do that poo clean up again. No is suck a great word, Jessica is actually saying yes alot lately but it is coming out the way the Finnish sauce ad says it LOL So she is saying YAR!!! It is funny and I keep asking her is she from Finland!

Mel- hope the strawberry picking was fun, Eliana mut love where you live. I got my house all spotless for Thursday arvo when I had my linen party and during the party it was returned to it's original state lol. I was a bit ****ed at people who at the last minute tell you they can't make it and so in the end there was me and 4 others (2 of who were late), but oh well. Isold somewhere between $700-$800 and got a doona cover, 2 x euro cushions, 2 bath sheets and 5 tea towels for about $140
Not bad considering the doona cover was $78 alone.

Kellee- I like that saying about house cleaning. The house was reasonable last night and then with peoplepver for Josh s bday and we went to bed at 1am I am too tired today to bother so I am just not caring, thought I'd sit here for awhile and chat and the maybe I will tidy up ......actually will do it tomorrow.

I am ****ed at Arron cos he has worked this morning, then he came home and went over the rd to watch the footy and he is going to an AFL match tomorrow. SO he won't be home all day and willbe drunk way bf he gets hoe. I don't see why he couldn't have stayed home this arvo with us....typical and he had to charge his phone so he can't be contacted either for me to whigne about how he is selfish either lol

anyway best move on, I ave a very ore back and am in desperate need of a back massage, prob won't got though.

hugs to everyone sorry if I missed anyone
