    Hi all,

Thought I'd pop in while Isabel is sleeping and see how everyone is doing... So glad that we are all coming across to the baby thread now... I really am looking forward to experiencing the next stage of our journey with everyone. I'm sure that being a first time mummy I'll be asking lots of questions to all you second or third time mums.

    A big hello to all

    hey all

Welcome back belle and congrats again

yes kell what is it with them. Why cant they be unsettled in the morning and not the night. I do have to admit that when I gave him formular he was alot better then when I gave him breast milk. so now im giving him on formular in the morning and at night now and he seems alot better. also expressing so he is getting 120mls now instead of what ever he was getting when on the booby. Im still doing breast and will try to express till 8 weeks or 6 if I can. How you doing hun??
Yay on Keira going straight back to sleep too.

Ayapi hey you. Yes its good coming here I agree but just waiting on pixie to have her. I cant wait for her to have her little one as it must be hard hearing all of us talk about our little ones. Im sure you will have heaps of questions hun and I know ive been going back to callums blue book and reading through it as im abit lost too some times...lol. Im sure you will be great hun..

Well better go as callum not well with a cold and he has fallen asleep on the lounge and i feel so bad as im sitting on the computer...

    ok take care

    Hi everyone!!

well most of you I already know cos of being in belly buddies together, so I'm looking forward to this transition to actual babies. I know most of us are still posting in the other thread while we wait for Pixie and Lotsa to have their bubs. Still thought I better get in here now, as Georgia is nearly 2 weeks old. Which reminds me, Mez happy 2 weeks for little Isabel.

So for those I don't know, my name is Jess, and Georgia Mae was born on 24 July. She was born the day before her due date, and was 47 cm long, and weighing in at 2.76 kilos. She was born naturally, and is breast feeding well. although my bb's are a bit tender. she is sleeping very well at night, going up to 5 and a half hours between feeds, so about 4 and a half hours without waking, but is very restless around 8:30 - 10:30pm. I think she gets some wind after a build up of eating all day. I had my second appointment with the health nurse today, and she is putting on weight really well. After losing more than 10% in hospital she had put all that back on (about 350 gm) by last Friday, and has put on another 145gm in the last 4 days. she now weighs just under 3 kilos.

Anyway I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you all, I gotta go sleep before the midnight feed. so be back tomorrow.

Hello..........I'm multi tasking and have ike on the boob while typing.

sounds like everyone's bubs are night owls. mine included. well seb is anyway. he can get quite unsettled at night. or should i say about the 2am ish feed. at least they are not waking each other up yet.

we are almost over all our colds now so i hope to have more energy now.

Jess- you sound like your doing well. isaac used to get wind at night too. it mush be everything settling for the night. maybe just a guess.

come on pixie we are waiting wont be long,

missy we should catch up again soon, i'm getting good at shopping. if only i could see over the top of the pram.

Ayapi- turns out even 2nd time round is confusing. we can help each other.

kell- im up 4 coffee and shopping when you are. i miss our outings.

hi bell, skittlebub, feeb, Tennykins, pmccask, how you going?

Hope everyone's well today, get much sleep at all?

Kristy J - We've definately got a night owl over this way, sleeps all day & wants to stay awake all night. Doesnt bother me but it annoys DF coz he has to go to work, so we end up watching TV in the middle of the night until she dozes off.

Maddi's got a bit of a gunky eye, its starting to clear up now though. Have the local health nurse coming round tomorrow, hopefully she's nice, after some of the stories I've heard about the health nurses.

    Morning all,

Welcome to Jess and Georgia! I can't wait to now go through our next journey of our little girls growing up together

Well today we have our health nurse appointment and I'm going to walk there so it will be interesting as it will be my first long walk since my c-section.

Skittlebub - Isabel has gunky eyes too for the last couple of weeks and I can't seem to clear them up but I will ask the nurse today what else I can do. But apparently it's normal for newborns to get it.

Hope everyone else got some sleep last night and the little ones are good for us all.

    Hey chickies..

    Good luck at your appointments.

Yep gunky eye is very common. Keira hasnt got it yet, but DS had it. I just washed it with a warm clean washer a few times a day and it ended up clearing.
Keira's started to shed. lol. Shes starting to peal a layer of skin off. Another common thing with babies who were over due. DS had this also. Plus shes starting to break out with a little pimply hormone rash. Again, following in her big brother's footsteps.
But otherwise we're going really well. Shes another night owl.. though is starting to get better with it each day. Once shes asleep after her 12am/1am feed she'll sleep 4 hours, wake for a feed, and be straight back out for another 4 hours. Up until now shes been feeding every 3 hours so its good progress.. starting to stretch it all out.

Kristy.. will have to do for sure. Grahame's back at work next week ahhhh though i think mum might be coming down again for another week. Though im going up to Richmond tomorrow at 12 to see Dr Parmer if your interested? Think i may have an infection in my uterus.. not good. Will sms you.

Jess.. hey hun, great to see you here!

Missy.. oh glad at least the formula is helping a little. Hopefully he just needs some time to get adjusted. Im doing pretty well. Keira is such an easy baby. Only time she cries is when her nappy is being changed. So hoping that continues!

    hi girls
Annabelle is asleep on my belly at the moment. She didn't sleep much at all yesterday but has been catching up today. I have a touch of mastitis so taking as much help from the grandparents as possible.

We had a super night last night, fed at 10, 1, 4 and 6:30 and slept in between in her bassinette. Not sure what we did to deserve that, but she seems to like to be 'worn' during the day. At least i can get stuff done. Just hope that won't affect night sleeps. Things are still so unpredictable and i can't get her out of the sling & into bed without waking her. Have to wait till hubby gets home from work to have a shower!

hope everyone is enjoying their bubs!

Lol. I posted in the other section too, so I deleted that and I'll just stay here now.
Gettin' a bit confused I was. lol.

Welcome home, Mel!!!! Hope you're all doin' great!

Pam - I hope the mastitis goes away. I hope Maddi keeps going well at nighttimes for you.

Skittle - Hayden has a gunky eye too. DS#1 never had it, so we're just wiping it with a damp tissue, and trying the massage thing.
He hates when I try to massage the tear duct too. His cranky side comes out. Lol. DP says he's just like his mother when he's like that.

Belle - I hope Tara keeps attaching and boobie feeding for you. Good luck with the LC appt. Fingers crossed things get sorted for you.
My little man is doing really well, thanks for asking. We're having a few attitude issues with DS#1 though. Sometimes I'm ready to pull my hair out cause of him. Ugh.

Kell - I hope everything is ok and you don't have an infection in your uterus. They were thinking I might have had something like that when I had really high temps, but I never heard anything back from the tests, so I guess it wasn't. Yay! Keria sounds like she's doing really good with feeds and sleeping.

Mez - I hope the walk went well and the appt too.

Kristy - Great to hear the fam is getting over the colds.

    As for me:
Hayden is sleeping great. I'm hoping he keeps sleeping great during the night. DS#1 was a good sleeper, so I'm hoping Hayden follows his brother's footsteps.
Feeding pretty well. He has one bottle a day of my milk so I'm really pleased with myself, especially since I started trying to express so many days after he was born.
Can't wait to see how much he weighs on friday even though I haven't had the greatest experiences with those ladies so far... .. But that's a whole other story.

Just wondering if you ladies are going to write a birth story???
I'm not sure about mine yet.

I added a couple pics of Hayden.

Belle - I didn't get your text mate? I think my phone has been playing silly buggers lately.. need a new one me thinks!!!!

Good to see all my old belly buddies in here - although mine is so much younger!!!!

DD (wow feels weird to type that) is sleeping at the moment, and DS is watching Dora even though he should be in bed. I seem to have a baby that is unsettled in the morning, and the early hours of the morning (like from 3am - 5am and then again from around 10 - 1pm) but sleeps well the rest of the time.

We are bottle feeding, straight up. Less stress for us.

C-section scar is healing ok, although is bleeding slightly at the moment. DH said its because I'm doing more since coming home than I was in hospital, so its going to bleed more. DS and DD had their first bath together tonight, think DS was a bit confused as to this little screaming thing invading his bath!!! LOL

Anyhoo, just thought I would read through the thread, admire everyone elses babies, and say a proper g'day.

    Me loves yas all *mwah*

Oh, and btw, DD was 54cm long, 35.5 HC and weighed 8 pound, 11.5 oz. (Bigger than DS but looks much smaller!!!)

Oh and we added another middle name - just to make her more confused.. LOL

Look forward to catching up with everyone!!!!

Mine isn't even born yet! And the August thread is down to two (apart from me and Lotsa) so I might have to eye up threads for September and October at this rate.

Great to see you back Mel.

Kellxx- Oh no, poor Jesse Laila has been sick once for near a week and she freaked out everytime she would spew. I really hope he gets better ASAP!
Glad MIL & FIL have been a help with Keira..hopefully this is a turn around for you & MIL.

Kristy- Poor Isaac , deff sounds like the boys caught it at the Rouse Hill shopping trip you & Kell had.. hope he also gets beeter ASAP!

Belle- Yeah im with 3 aswell.. im starting to have trouble with them. Yes deff a meet-up as soon as your able to go out and about. There is meant to be a meet up happening at my place this week/next week for the Sydney girls on the "other" forum. Id say it will be next week.. Missy will be coming aswell cause she lives just a street up from me.

Taralee- Welcome to our group! Your DS was born the day my DS was born though he was born at 12.57am.
I also have 2 under 2, my DD just turned 20 months 1 day ago.

All you girls were so lucky to have your DH'd off, my DH was only off the day I had Lucas then he went back to work as he hadnt been at his new job for 3 months so he dosnt get paid for days he has off (even though they paid him for that day). He was allowed a few weeks off but I didnt want him not to get paid (more $$ for me to spend LOL).

Well anyway, gunna go up and watch tv in bed with DH and try and go to sleep while my lil man is sleeping. He is in his cot, I thought id try it and see how he goes as he dosnt seem to like the bassinette.

    Hi everyone....

I really take my hat off to all you girls that manage to post! I just can't find the time...except for quick updates.

Ash refused to feed again this morning but on the plus side I did express 100ml from 1 side and 0ml from the other....fenugreek might be doing something??

I have to sign something at family day care today as I signed J in for a tues instead of the thurs so it has caused problems and my SIL got a fine for it as it looks like she had 5 kids instead of 4. Going for morning tea after that then home to do the washing I started on Sat.

Mel: how are you feeling now? Lucky you got your mum there!

Jess: Good to see you back....although I still haven't got organised enough to be back all the time yet!

Kell: Well done on your sleeping babies! I was up twice with Jayden and Ashlea slept thru!

Tenny: No one has asked me when the next one is but I think everyone knows how much Chris doesn't want anymore, and I am happy with 2 ATM...I hope it stays that way or I'll have to find another Daddy haha

    Belle: How are you going??

Sorry to those I missed...Jayden's just got up and he looks like he has conjuctivitis, I think Ash is getting it too...better make Dr's appt's
