Happy New Year to everyone!
Mel, I am pleased to see that I am not the only one who was asleep at midnight. Think I managed to stay awake until around 10.30, but was too tired to do the midnight thing. Maybe next year...
And happy half year birthday to Jack! How exciting - all of our bubs will be having their half year birthdays soon, I can't believe how quickly it has gone! It actually makes me a bit sad, it's moving too fast.
Bec - you are so brave! I had a little chuckle though at the image of you being gummed down - that's exactly what Liam does to me. It's pretty cute I reckon.
Jem - bummer about DH going away again so soon. Nice of your M&D to offer to take the boys. Maybe another way to look at it is that they're getting to an age when a night with their grandparents is an adventure??
Em - hope the move goes smoothly for you. PMSL at Tom with his legs in the air & singing. It's kind of lovely that something so simple can be so entertaining, at least for a little while. Although sometimes it would be lovelier if they just went to sleep.
We've kind of started the year on a bit of a downer, as we think that Liam might have a turned eye or something. My parents (loaded up with a disk full of photos) have gone to stay with my uncle (who, sometimes conveniently, is a paediatrician), and they called me today to say that he thinks that there is an uneveness in the way Liam's eyes are reflecting the flash. So now I'm feeling a little sad, even though it's not really a bad situation in the scheme of things that can go wrong with kids and is probably going to be quite fixable but I now can't look at his photos cos I can see the problem now that they've pointed it out, whereas before I just saw my gorgeous little man. So I'm off to research what I can about it, to make myself feel better if I can.
Anyway, tomorrow is a MIL-free day, so going to get myself to bed so that I can make the most of it. Sadly, I think that it will involve a fair bit of house cleaning, but it will still be nice to have a break.
