HI there all. How's it going.
    Just a quick question
What are your feeding routines with solids for your bubs?

How much, how often and what do you feed them?
Lach has progressed, and is eating quite chunky food. I am just starting to get into a bit of a boring routine, and he's eating alot of the same things. ANy ideas from any other mums would be great

    Cheers

    Hi All
Havn't been on BB for a while, hope everyone is well.
Things have been crazy lately, have been really busy with my prac work, and on top of that have had to cope with my Pop passing away last weekend. Finding it really hard to believe that I will never see him again

On a nicer note Tayah's walking really well now, she has only crawled a few times in the last couple of days, usually when she is tryin to get somewhere really fast. She has also started playing peek a boo, where she ducks down next to the arm of the lounge and waits for me to say 'wheres Tayah' then she stands up and says 'arghhh', its pretty cute.

Anyway hopefully when I finish prac at the end of next week il get a chance to read back through everyones posts and do some personals.

    Take care

    Evening Ladys

    How was your weekend???
Ours was good Bayleigh is walking sooooo much more hes so little to be walking we went to a friends lil boys 1st birthday party on saturday night and everyone there couldnt believe he was walking at 10 months... It seems that people (alot of the older people is grand parents) think they shouldnt be walkin at such an early age made me feel abit weird actually... they made me feel like i shouldnt be encourageing him to walk... Hate how some people can make you feel like that... Veroncia and Emma M have you had anyone make you feel like that about Avaleigh and Tayah walking?????

Well today bayleigh and i had a day at home after a busy weekend....Bayleigh was playing with his toys and watching ABC2 and i was folding washing and putting it away and mopping floors and so anway i sat down at the dining table to have a drink and bayleigh came over to me and he stunk like rotten feet and had this feral stuff around his mouth and i said to him what on earth have u eaten (used to him having something in his mouth) and i went to smell his mouth n i nearly dryreched it smelt dat bad so i walked over to the TV cabinet as that was where he was playing n i could smell the rotten feet smell again so i looked around his toys n found sum egg shell well i really started to worry now so i was frantically looking for more shell when i came across DD hardboiled egg she made at school in FIRST TERM this year (i asked her to throw it out just after easter in fear that it would make the house smell) anyway she obvousily hid it and bayleigh found it today and started to EAT it so i grabbed him freaking out grabbed the fone called my mum while i have bayleigh in da bathroom cleanign him up and brushing his teeth and wiping his mouth out with the face washer i had to change his clothes AGAIN as he had rotten egg all over him and he stunk i was nearly throwing up myself... mum picked up da fone n goes wats wrong n i told her wat happened n she goes oh he should be ok if he hasnt come out in a rash or anything yet he will b efine you mite just have to keep an eye on him if he starts to throw up..... He was fine for the day didnt throw up or anything but i had a very smelly house so i had to open the house up and it was freezing BUT thank god bayleigh was fine.....

Niadla- Bayleigh has one and a half weetbix with cows milk for breaky and for lunch he has either jelly, fruit, pasta or a sandwich and for tea he has either beef cassarole and vegies or pie meat and vegies or pasta and vegies in cheese sauce or rice with some sort of sauce....... i just give his vegies a quick mash so its a bit chunky .. I probably should do some other recipes too but he seems happy with his meat n veg

Well im gunna head to bed and watch Big Brother big mouth

    have a good one

Hey Girls!! I hope you are all doing well.. I finished my paper run this afternoon and I did over 18,000 steps in 4 hours! And you can imagine that my legs and feet are sore.. but atleast it is over until the weekend!

Sarah - No one has really said anything bad about Avaleigh walking at 9 months, most people were surprised at how early she started!! But Jason walked at 10 months and a friend's girl walked at 10 months. I dont think that there would have been any way NOT to encourage our children walking at such a young age! All Avaleigh wanted to do was walk, and I dont think there would have been any way to stop her. I think it is great!! Dont worry about what those people said :hugs:

Nicky - Avaleigh's food is a bit boring too! She is not too keen on chunks so we are still pureeing. I am waiting until we get some more teeth before changing the texture. So she is having porridge and cows milk for breakfast, and then I sometimes give her a snack like yohgurt about an hour and a half before lunch. For lunch we have either, toast with peanut butter or jam or marmite or avocado, cheese toasties, jelly, yohgurt, fruit. and then we may have a snack a little before dinner and then for dinner its either vegies or meat and vegies with yohgurt or jelly. I breastfeed too, probably about every 2 - 3 hours, even if Avaleigh isnt showing signs of wanting boob I offer. I am afraid that I am going to loose my milk supply in my last 2 months of breastfeeding so I offer my boobs often!! I hope this helps some how..

Well I better go, just had my coffee break and now I need to get Avaleigh's dinner sorted and our dinner too! and then its put the washing away... Ahhhh the day never ends...

    Hi ladies

Sarah- I havnt had any comments about Tayah walking at 9 months. My nephew walked at 8 months and my friend who had a bub 3 weeks before Tayah was born also walked at 9 months. I wouldnt worry too much about the comments, its not like you could have stopped it anyway, if they want to walk there gonna walk.

Nicky - Tayah has porridge or toast with avo or banana for braekfast, veges, fruit, and yoghurt for lunch and veges meat pasta rice friut or yoghurt for dinner. Some are mashed and some are finger foods depending on what it is, but like V im stuggling a little with the teeth issue as Tay still has no teeth.

V- If I walked 18000steps in 4hrs I wouldnt even be able to sit at the computer and type, you must be so fit. And wow at losing 30kg , I put 13kg on while pregnant and have only managed to lose 8-9kg, whats your secret? Im hoping that chasing a walking bub around all day might help

Lis- Tayah will drink water but only if I give it to her out of a cup, if its in a sippy cup she's not interested. Think its just the novelty of drinking from a cup. I just offer it to her at each meal.

    Hi all,

My weekend was crap, was throwing up all day Sunday couldn't keep any food down. Then yesterday I felt fine but had a sore throat and today I think all the stuff around my throat then going down to my tummy has made me feel queasy all day, its awful. I was meant to work yesterday for my mums friend for 5 hours so missed out on some $$ but going in there tomorrow for 5 hours so should be good.

Oh no poor Bayleigh!! Is he ok now? They will get into anything won't they?? My Mum and Dads house isn't quite Olivia proof, they have ordaments and stuff all over the floor. We are here now as DH is away and Mum is having Olivia tomorrow so was easy to come in.....she cried for 40 mins at bed time arrgghh!!!

I wish Olivia would have water like Bayleigh, that is excellent! Emma - Liv does the same thing, she will dink from a cup but thinks the sippy part is funny. Do you have to hold it for Tayah?

V - 18,000 steps, my goodness, I wouldn't be standing!!! I have lost 3kg in 3 days I would rather do it by 18,000 steps though! I can't beleive it, I am 11kg under my weight even before I had Olivia! Before I got pregnant I was 79-81kg and just couldn't lose it but since I had her, its weird its just stayed off and I eat so much **** (prob why I am sick - don't eat the right foods!!)

Niadla - Olivia has 1 weetbix with banana and cows milk in morning. Lunch she will have pasta or chicken and then fruit and dinner she will have meat of some sort that I make (bolanagse, stir fry, cassorole). Snacks I give her cruskits or rusks, or cheese stick in half. I get bored with the food thing also, can't wait to she can have all that I have and I just have to make 1 thing for lunch and dinner

Must go off to bed now. Have a good day tomorrow all!

Emma - I just go to the gym heaps!! Before my wedding in december I was going 7 times in 5 days - extreme I know but I had 20 kg to lose that I put on with the pregnancy! Now I am going to the gym about 4 or 5 times a week and I walk the dogs too (bit slack with that tho!) and I just try and eat right. The past few weeks have been bad tho cause I have been baking heaps - mmm I love baking!! But I am on a 6 wk diet now - so no more of that!

Lis - YAY for the great weight loss!! I am 10kg below my pre-pregnant weight and I love it. I still want to lose about 5kg but am more focusing of losing body fat percentage.. I have a heap of fat still around my mid section that I want to get rid of. How is Olivia going at bed time - still screaming the house down or you got it sussed? With the weetbix and banana for breakfast, do you mash the banana up and mix it in hey?? I've tried giving Avaleigh weetbix but she isnt a fan of the taste, I might try it with banana when I have a banana!

Oh my legs are aching!! I think a shower and bed time..

Hey, have you guys noticed that the Babies due in July pregnancy buddies are a talkative bunch!! They are already up to thread #25 and they still have a few months to go!! I think they will beat our thread amount
