In case you're interested, there is an ivy leaf extract called Prospan you can get at the chemist that is a natural expectorant. The doctor suggested it for Autie when she had the coughing all night thing. He also says (though it's not on the bottle anywhere) that it has a similar effect to Ventolin in opening the airways a little. I can't say for sure if it was a huge help, but I do think it did a bit of something, and helped me a little to just be able to give her something that might help, if you know what I mean?
