Sacha - I'm hearing you on the sleeping issues. Liam has just about broken me this week. Which is why I'm here at 6am in the frickin morning.

I won't bore you with all the details, cept to say that after the gastro, Liam developed a cold, which he has kindly shared with me. And we've not had more than 3 hours of consecutive sleep now since Saturday, and I've probably hit the wall with tiredness. Anyway, after a massive screaming match through in the middle of last night, DF & I finally get back to bed, when DF says he thinks we should try phenergan (sp??) to help teach Liam to sleep, because he's over everything else. So we had a frosty discussion about it, because I'm really against the idea of using drugs to teach L to sleep, especially as he's sick this week, so that's probably got a lot to do with the problem. In fairness, I don't actually know much at all about phenergan, other than we joked about it in antenatal classes as a way to put babies to sleep. But I just think it doesn't fix the cause, and, well, I just hate the idea. What do you guys think, am I over-reacting to be so anti-it? It's just tipped me over the edge into bawling-ness, I'm so angry with DF for wanting to do it, particularly in the light of the fact that until Christmas, he has rarely got of his bum to do anything in the way of helping out overnight. And because until this week, I was feeling that we were getting somewhere with the sleeping. Sure, we were still being woken up, but he'd really stopped wanting feeds, and just wanted one of us to sit next to his cot while he went back to sleep. Currently he's back to wanting feeds all the time, and whilst I'm happy to do this because of the cold, it worries me that I'll end up keeping on doing it, which just isn't nice for me, cos I, too, like my sleep, and function best when I get at least 8 hours.

Sorry for the whinge, if anyone knows anything about this phenergan stuff (good/bad, but preferably bad, I like to win arguments occasionally), that would be great.

Will bbl to do personals, have to start getting ready for work now. Soooo happy about that (uses a tissue to wipe up the sarcasm)

xxx to everyone
