I got Oscar to sleep and some washing loads were done during that time. I was hoping to do some sewing, but he woke up hungry! He is in the shoulder sling and looks like he might drop off again. We may have a late bath.
Mel - I am so sorry about your puppy dog I don't really know exactly how you feel, because I've always had our dogs put down - none of them have just died in their sleep, the buggers! I would say that it's best to stick to the truth with kids as much as you can. Maybe you can start by finding a way to say that our pets never live as long as we do and that part of loving them is loving them until they are not here anymore. Also, as I may have told you on Wednesday, each pet teaches us something that helps us love the next pet in a better way.
