I might have mentioned it before, but we were supposed to organise it for our second NZ trip, but neither of us bothered our arses about organising it in the end, so it never happened. Maybe next time! I always end up talking myself out of the need for it when I have the internal debate...not scared, just not philosophically motivated towards it.
Amanda, Rory and Bath - I have familiarity with what you mean about pushing DH away because of your own experiences with abandonment and self-worth issues. Not because I do it, but because my mum does it all the time and it is the hardest thing to experience - no matter what you do, you can't 'make' someone believe different, they have to realise that the people around them choose to stay because of who you are, not in spite of it. PLEASE remember that! Sometimes I get a very mild case of it, and only then it's goes as far as wondering if DP would ever ask me to leave. It only ever gets that far because the answer is pretty simple. Everything he does, just about, is about 'us'. He's not a puppet, if he didn't want 'us', kid or no kid, he wouldn't be with 'us' You girls just touched a little nerve there with me and I thought I'd share that, for what it's worth!
