Am i first?? YAYYYY I haven't been first in ages, hehehe
Hmmmm Sad the girls are back at school, but OMG Melissa is driving me crazy. Does anyone want to buy her, oh wait I think I'll sell Lana too, she dragged Nathan up onto the Trampoline I saw itwhile hanging wasshing out I said NO!! but to late off he fell backwards before I could get to him, grrrrrrrrrr Any all are down for a nap and I'm trying to destress. Think I need to drag my Walking machine out again dust off the dust and get exercising, boost those endorphins as it's the only way I'm get them stimulated, lol, OMG 5 and half weeks to go till he's home.
P.S Nathan seems to be ok, he was a little winded and is lying right next to me now snuggled up close.
    Cheers
    Dee
Edit: LOL Rory that's probably more like it. I just made the 125 75 bit up cause I could quite rememberwhat it was exactly, but it's the words that count not the percentage, lol.

Maya - it will be so nice to spend a night in, esp if it has a gourmet kitchen - yummo! Hopefully it has a big open fire too!! Don't know what to do about your rug, anyone got an old Martha Gardener book? She was the guru who could get stains out of anything. Did you and your sister have fun swimming? You were lucky it was clear up there this morning, fog was shocking everywhere else. Hope Coco's smell has disappeared from the house LOL!!!!

Bath - your DH has been a good boy! Its nice when they can help out ocassionally and give you a bit of a breather. What did you bake today? Prob something yummy. Fog was terrible this morning, couldn't even see traffic lights until you got right to them, very dangerous. And twits driving with no lights on, idiots!!!! So far so good with Marley at nanas. Need to check in with her soon.

Dee - poor Nathan! Glad he didn't injure himself too badly. How much you selling Melissa for LOL!!!!! Going cheap?

Julie - love the new av! It is so cute. Bath, you are such a clever cookie!

Well my day started crap!!! Set my alarm for 6.15am as I had to get 2 kids ready to be out the door by 7.20am. I woke up to see the clock saying 6.58am!!!! *****. Mad panic, run, then turn heaters on! Quickly go and wake Chelsea, show her where her clothes are, tell her to get dressed, get her b'fast and tell her to eat fast (poor kid!). She was such a good girl, she got herself dressed and even put shoes on the right foot. DH arrived home from nightshift and I got him to brush her teeth and take her to creche. I didn't have time for shower (yuk!), just got dressed, did hair and makeup, had 1/2 cup coffee. Went in to wake Marley and the poor cherub was sound asleep, had to gently wake her, put her big sleeping bag and hat on, pick up all the bags and go! Raced to MIL, dropped her off (it was very sad actually) and then off to work. Made it to work on time, which was a miracle.

Had Marleys paed allergy review today. Good and bad news. Good news is that her cows milk allergy has gone, but we still have to slowly introduce. 1ml of cows milk in her bottle of formula and double it each day. Watch for changes in poo, rashes or vomiting. Then slowly start giving her yoghurt and cheese too. Her egg allergy increased but he said I can try to give her cake or biscuit crumbs as they don't react as badly to cooked egg. Just small samples and monitor any reaction. The new one which came up very severley was cashews!!! The rash came up instantly and she was itching and getting very irritable. She didn't have any reaction to the sesame seeds, peanuts, or hazelnuts. The good thing is, the chances of her eating cashews is quite low. We don't really eat them but will be sure not to have them in the house. Thankfully she is fine with other nut products. They also suggested that she have her immunisation as she was sick at the time I was going to get them done. They did them and I have never heard a baby scream so loud and for so long - I felt like the wicked witch of the west! The poor thing just kept screaming and she had snot and tears streaming down her face. It was awful! She finally calmed down and then we went into see the paed (his nurse did the injections) and he went to check her breathing and she went nuts again, prob thinking her was going hurt her! He then had to get her to play with a mobile on the wall and he listened from her back. I then had to say goodbye to her when MIL took her home and she gave me a lovely smile and a wave - so hopefully all is forgotten!

Well after that marathon post, I must get ready to go home!

Hiya Dee and Mel: gotta try to get back in later tonight... going to check out Julie's Av... I based her dress on one of her photos on her website... lovely dress... arggh... boys need me!

Ness: I've finished and submitted your av ... flipped back to the last thread to see if by chance Kat had loaded it (she does them on a Tuesday) and I came across a post that I hadn't noticed before! *Blush* ROFL at you saying: "Ha! You didn't even reveal the tatt, I found it! Oooh, that could sound dodgy...but I assure everyone, it's not..." Cheeky! Let it be known far and wide that sometimes when I lean forward the whole world can see my tat! I better take more care... *muttering* Oh and if our avs had a 'zoom-in' function we could all see Amanda's lovely tat on her chest... unfortunately at this size it just looks like a dot.

Julie .... love the avatar, very nice.
Bath .... very well done as always can't wait to see Maya's
Well my sister read my mind, no kidding she rang me at 4.30pm and said "break out your walking machine and I call back at 6.30pm so we csan walk together." So funny I told her how I only posted this arvo about needing to go for a walk. It was great. I so needed a good walk. We chatted and had an imaginary scenary as we walked and talked on the phone. Only did 1/2 hour tonight. Do more tomorrow. Well I'm tired now, all the kiddies are well and truely fast asleep, I just transfered Nathan from my warm booby into his cold cot, poor baby, but it is right next to my bed. I really need to fold this basket of clothes away, but I think it can wait for tomorrow.

Good on you Dee for getting on the walking machine... i was just thinking yesterday that I haven't been doing the kilometers that I used to... back when I walked verity to and from school etc. I went for a bit of a walk with the kids today but they walk so slooooowly that it's not a real workout. It really does affect your mood. Oh and folding clothes! We are almost swimming in clothes around here! I haven't put everything away from our trip yet and I've washed/dried all the bedlinen but just dumped it in the middle of the nursery... and some of it, I am ashamed to say.... has been dragged out into the loungeroom by the kids ... AND the ensuite floor is covered in dirty clothes... I am feeling very despondant about it all... verity being on school holidays is generating twice as much as usual... I need someone to nag me about it.... DH is way too tolerant.

But must share - cleaned my oven (not hard, has pyrolytic plates to stop muck), cleaned my bins and bin drawer, my fridge, appliances, wiped out my cuttlery drawer and put a load in the dishwasher. Now I am really ready to flake out!

I have my scan tomorrow - bath I won't be able to drop by, but I have another appot there next wednesday so maybe next week!

    see y'all later....

I’ve done another marathon one so either get a cuppa and get comfy or just skip to the end!

Bath – My Avs now been loaded – it’s fantastic – thanks so much! Wish I really looked like that lol! (I think Oscar looks far too angelic though – I should have requested little horns and a pointy tail – j/k!) Glad you had a great weekend away. Your suggestion for the albums was a good one and now it’s been actioned – yay! It’s so nice to be able to see who you are talking to.

Maya – Love the new name, it’s really nice. Can’t wait to see you Av – bath does such a great job. Have you handed your resignation letter in yet for work? So is it this week your getting together with your friend and having a sing – do you do gigs then? RIP your juicy tube! I keep looking at the adds in the mags for those and thinking I must get one then never get round to it and the few times I do wear makeup these days I wear the same as I did when I was 16 – so unadventurous! Yay on your bargain jeans shop! I am envious – haven’t shopped for me for ages. Lol at Coco and her dropping a stinker then making a sharp exit! Dogs are so like men!!!

Ali – glad your move went well, hope you are enjoying the school holidays and aren’t drowning in packing boxes. Would definitely take the early mat leave if you could – I pushed it to 38 weeks with DS#1 and 36 weeks with DS#2 (born at 38 weeks) and that was way way too much.

Dee – You sound like you had an awesome time at the baby expo – must be great to meet all those fellow BBer’s. Hope the girls were kinder to you this arvo. I could do with a girl or 2 to even up the numbers!! Poor Nathan and his trampoline exit – they move like lightening these days especially with help from siblings! Funny your sister reading your mind and suggesting a ‘phone walk’ together – that’s great you can do that.

Nic – sorry to here no luck on the rental front yet.

Donna – sorry about the situ with your DH – hope things are getting better for you or at least being sorted out. Hope Lachlans’ going ok after your scare.

Mel – I thought I could talk on the phone but 4 hours!!!! Your ear must have been welded to the phone! So are you going to start up a business with her? I’ve been in the chat room abit and sometimes it’s great, other times a little slow – it all depends on who’s in there and as I’m abit quiet in those sort of things I don’t help quiet chats! I prefer posting in the forums so I can write then read though and think about things as I’m not very good at expressing myself straight off and can come out with things the wrong way and unintentionally offend people so I have to be very careful. I made a huge boob the other night and mistook one of the girls for someone who had recently had a bub and she came back and said wrong one – she was still TTC – I felt so awful! You must have had heart failure this morning looking at the time – I hate it when days start like that as I never manage to get straight the rest of the day (not that I get to sleep in till that time but in the past!!!!) Good news on Marley’s cow milk allergy having gone, shame about the cashew reaction but I think that’s a lot easier to deal with as they are in a lot less things. Poor Marley and her jabs – Will had his yesterday.

Rory – so is Flynn abit of a dodgy sleeper or was yesterday a one off? We are having issues with both the boys sleeping at the mo – not that they stay up long but just wake us up so often that I’m lucky if I’m getting 3 hours uninterrupted at the mo – at least I don’t have to go to work after it though – how do you do it? I was getting more sleep when Will was a newborn! Good luck on your scan tomorrow.

The boys had their last swimming lesson on Saturday for this term and they both did really well. Will finally started doing some kicks and moving his hands and not just being held like a brick! We will keep going on Saturday morning even without the lessons so they don’t lose their ‘skills’. We won’t enroll for next term as we will be away for 6 weeks over august/ September when we go back to the UK but if the class isn’t full they said we could go for the individual ones that we are here for and pay a bit each time so that’s good.

We went to our block on Sunday and now we’re so exited about our house. We stood on the slab and could imagine each room. The Slab looked like a nice size so I think the house will be great. The external bricks and windows have been delivered and the internal bricks are arriving this week then the bricklayer starts on Monday 9subject to weather!) – too exciting!

Skyped my parents on Sunday and my dad really peed me off. Background – I have been having sleepless nights for a few months with worrying about when we get to UK after a 24 hour journey and possibly no sleep then getting in a hire car and driving 2 ½ hours home on the THE worst roads in the UK – M25 and M1. So a few weeks ago in the middle of the night I had a brainwave and decided we would hire a people mover for dad to pick up the day before so he could drive down and pick us up and then drive us all back and we could pick up our hire car later and only have a 10 minute drive in it. When I put this to him he said fine, great idea so I thought that was all sorted 9as they were coming to meet us at the airport anyway to take the luggage in their car so we didn’t have to hire a big one). Anyway on Sunday they started saying what about then still coming down to take the luggage but we get a taxi back and they pay for it as dad is feeling anxious about driving a strange bigger car!!!! Now I won’t be able to adequately describe my dad and how many million different vehicles he’s driven in his life to make you know how ridiculous this is. He used to be a hot air balloon pilot so both him and me have done hundreds of retrieves in all sorts of cars/vans /4wd all around the countryside and through cities too so for him to say he’s scared of that is just BS to me. And there is no way I would trust our kids lives in a taxi all that way home on those awful roads and probably without child seats either – absolutely no way. So we are back with I’m going to have to drive when I get there. I told them tonight that I am hiring (they are paying!) a slightly bigger car that will fit all our stuff in so they don’t have to come and meet us – just wait for us at home as there is no point in them getting up at 3am and driving all that way just for 10 mins in the airport as I am going to want to be in there and out so quick (v frightened of the terror threat at heathrow but that’s another story). Grrrrrrr

Will had his vax yesterday and it went surprisingly well. As usual DH held him as I just cry in the corner (although this time stayed outside with Oscar and managed not to cry myself) and he didn’t cry that much which is a real first. Both him and Osc have always screamed blue murder during their jabs. He was really perky yesterday and today although the marks in his arms are looking horrible – red, swollen and about the size of 20c piece – I can’t remember Oscar’s looking like that so hope he’s OK.

Had a reply from the vicar that looks after the village church where my parents are in the UK (where me and DH were married and also where my parents were married ) and he said he can do a little christening service for us while we are back so I’m really chuffed. I’m not a particularly religious person but would really like the boys christened and it gives me a peace of mind somehow, so am looking forward to that. I’m sure DH’s parents will have something to say about it being harvest (DHs family are all farmers) but it’s just tuff titty as far as I’m concerned as it’s either then or here with NO family there whatsoever so I think I know what’s nicer for the boys.

DH went away again this morning just till Thursday night so am sitting here feeling abit queasy as have just eaten half a jar of nutella with a spoon! Will is fully weaned now – last bf on Sunday so I am sort of sad but not – he loves his soy milk in his straw-bottle, and it’s great that I can eat what I want without guilt or worry that it’s going to make him sick (like the nutella would have). Having trouble picking him up though today as the old boobs are rather full – hopefully my bod will start re-absorbing the milk soon so I can stop wearing the disgusting maternity bras that ive had on for 18 months and start wearing my nicer normal ones that don’t make me look like a sack of spuds!

Anyway, I guess I’d better shut up as I’ve probably taken up way too much of this page already. Sorry about my wingeing.

    Hi guys,

Bath - Julies Av looks great, i will be sure to get one, one of these days. Dont worry about the housework. My place looks like a bomb has hit it and ihavent even been away anywhere!!

Julie - Love the av!! Good on will for being a good boy with his needles. I always thought i would be amess when i took Lachlan for his but suprisingly i havent cried once. (nearly though) Great that your DH was there, mine has to come next time. Lachlan is way to strong for me to hold down and when he is due for his 18 month ones i will be 7 months pregnant!! Glad the house is coming along. I cant think of anything more exciting than building a new house!
Oh i wish my DH would go away for work!!!

Rory - Good on you for doing the housework. Im thinking i might fly you up here to do mine!! (and have quite a few cuppa breaks!) Good luck with the scan.

Dee - good on you for having the motivation to walk. I have always wanted a walking machine but i know that im kidding myself. When the weather is warmer i usually go for a 20-30minute walk with Lachlan through the day but these winter months are so hard. I had an excercise bike once, that lasted about 2 weeks and i ended up giving it away!!

Mel - Great work getting to work on time. What a woman!! Thats no good about the allergies. I really hope Lachlan doesnt have any but i think that he might. DH is quite allergy prone so there isnt really much hope for him. Poor Marley with her doctor phobia. Lachlan has developed one too. As soon as the doctor puts the stethescope near him he screams and you should hear him when the doctor wants to look in his ears!!

Well, Lachlan is officially walking. He started two days ago and now can walk around the loungeroom all by himself with out any help from me. I was standing in the kitchen and i turned around and saw that he was standing in the dining room, right in the middle. He cant yet stand up on his own so he had obviously walked there. I guess now im going to know all about falls and bumps!

I had better go. as i mentioned, the house looks like a bomb has hit it and i was planning to go up to the shops to get stuff for dinner but a neighbour called in and she was here for an hour or so. So now i need to wait for lachlan to wake up and we will head up.

    Take care

Oh i wish my DH would go away for work!!!
Maya - Your Av is top banana! Bath has done yet another amazing job!

had a lovely day in the park this morning with a friend from walking group and her two bubs - kids played pretty well and Will ate lots of sand. Lovely nice sunny day, nearly finished off that jar of nutella now - feeling quesy again!

Bath- you should start charging us for all this fabulous work! Great job on the Avaters, hats off to you!
Dee- WTG Lachlan on walking! Nixon has started taking more and more steps in the last few days. ive counted 20 in one go as his most so far! He cannot stand up by himself yet either but its very cute watching him try and he ends up with his bum in the air, hands on the floor walk hehe!
Your cake looks amazing, you should be proud!
How are you feeling pg wise? any ms?

Mel- Thats pretty good news re: Marley's allergies and i hope it goes smoothly with introducing new things to her. poor girl with the needles. Nixon did a similar thing to me with the 12m needles, they are starting to realise whats going on before they have finished giving them all now. You did well getting to work on time and the kids ready in a rush! Nixon was waking up early on the days i work but lately he sleeps in, so i dont get to see him before i go to work
he started stirring thismorning when i was up but went back to sleep and stayed that way so didnt get to see him again thismorning.

Nixon's two eye teeth (i think thats what they are...) up the top are cutting through. poor boy was so irritated with them last night, drooling heaps too he screamed so much when i tried putting him to bed i thought he would make himself sick. I end up rocking him to sleep. but thankfully they didnt wake him through the night.

I found a decent place for rent and went and had a look at it yesterday. Quiet happy with it as its been nicely maintaned, freshly painted etc. There were already 2 applications put on it so we may not get it but worth trying anyway. DH told me today he got a small pay increase which will all help out.

    Julie- mmmmm Nutella!

Gotta agree with Dee - fantastic Av!!

Nickers good luck on the new place!!

Scan went well - all is fine with bub - completely unremarkable progress and results which is just what you want at this stage of the game. Placenta is nicely away from cervix opening which is also excellent

Better go - should be working But shouldn't complain, I foung out yesterday I got a $5k pay rise (including super and tax, but still noting to sneeze at I guess)

Well Nathan is sick for the first time, my poor baby he has a vomiting bug, YAY I have changed and cleaned the cot and my bed 3 times tonight already. I have no hot water left after showering three times with him and after all the showers this evening, so I hope he sleeps the rest of the night. That and we have no more clean PJ's. He's sleeping next to me now on a folded up doona cover. Poor little man.
Rory, Glad your app. went well and uneventful, just how we like it, great about the raise, woohoo.
Nickers, fingers are crossed for the house. I hope you get it.
Julie, When do you go on your holiday? Grrr for the transport sitch.
Mel, Great that you have progress with Marley's allergies.
    Well better go,
    Bye
