    Good afternoon everyone

Went into the city for DH's 20years (today)with the bank morning tea this morning... stuffed now... house a mess as usual.

Nic: Oh yes, Niall has had a thing for the toilets for months... basically as soon as he could crawl and pull himself up. It is driving me nuts. All my kids did it... just as you describe. problem here is that one toilet has a sliding door which he can open... the other one is in our ensuite which leads directly off his nursery and there is no door What I hate most is when he pulls the toilet roll off the hook and drops the whole thing into the toilet... and when he unravels it which happens at least once a week. Niall is also a bin boy... looks like an old tramp as he bends over right into it. *sigh* there's nothing for it but to wait it out... they eventually get over it... forget when, maybe at around 20 months? When Wade was at this stage he used to throw his dummy in constantly which woulkd really annoy me but I'd soak it in Milton for 24hrs and it was ok. But get this for gross: today after i got home I let the boys play outside for a while whilst I hung clothes on the line. They got filthy which was ok and expected so I showered them both when i had finished. So then i had 2 clean and fresh boys. I put on ABC kids for Wade and popped Niall in the porta cot. I had grand plans of doing a big tidy-up. A few minutes later i noticed a pooey smell from Niall so picked him up to sniff... in the process my fingers squished into it... UGH! I carefully pried open his nappy to see how more there was inside... but get this: there was none and the nappy was clean! It was a disposable and on properly, no gaping. How on Earth did the poo get OUTSIDE the nappy? There was nothing on the lambskin, a little inside his trackie pants which he had removed. Weird. The only thing I can think of is that i put on a pair of pants (that were lying on the floor near the change table) that DH had removed last night due to a poo accident and not told me. I went to DD's school last night for a concert with her... DH dealt with both boys. Anyhow, it was pretty demoralising after thinking Niall was nice and fresh and clean And now I've got the CBF's 'cos I swear everytime I lift a finger to try to do something around here i am sabotaged Honestly that's what it feels like these days: if I do anything my work is immediately undone so why bother... If I bothered to try to clean the ceiling the kids would find a way to muck it up within a day.... and I DO need to clean the ceiling above me because Niall recently reached up and grabbed DH's hot chocolate when he was sitting here one night and between them both the contents of the mug was flung upwards leaving a brown spray that needs to be cleaned up. Hmmm... ok now I have the guilts... I'LL DO IT then :P but mark my words....

Maya: I would love to buy some Tupperware, you are right, it sells itself, but I'm in "making do" mode as you know. Is there a website catalogue? I might check it out though...

Ali: Might be able to draft you up an avatar this weekend I'll email it to you for approval/modifications before sending it into AstroLady (Kath) for uploading. Glad you've decided to join the platinum club, look forward to seeing you in the plat threads

Nic Cody is another that loves the toilet and the bin, everyday once he's on the floor all the doors to the bedrooms, bathroom and toilet are closed (except his room) and the bin goes outside. But in saying that, this morning one of the boys left the toilet door open and when I went to go I found blocks in the loo. I also remember when Kailen was little he threw my mobile in there (not happy Jan).

Ali how cute of Tori, how is she feeling now?, yay on joining platinum can't wait to see your av.

Maya I'm crossing my fingers that it's all cleared up for now, glad to hear that you got to have a great catch up sleep.

Bath wow congrats to your DH on 20 years with his bank you must be so proud of him and how icky to only find poo on the outside of Niall's nappy.

Well yesterday Cody went quite and I was on the phone to my friend and I'd thought I better go and see what he's up to and found him fast asleep on my dirty washing, he must have been watching the load that was in the machine (we have a front loader). Then when I was giving him his feed before bed last night he had his normal amount and he threw it all up all over me and himself. I don't know if he's trying to wean or not as he use to take both sides but in the last few days he's only having one side plus he's just started to sleep thru the night in doing that he has dropped his night feed, will have to see how he goes.

    hugs xoxo

Argh! Poo on clothes that haven't been put in their rightful place! DP has never done this, but he DOES tend to just leave Oscar's clothes wherever they fall...and the cleaning fairy picks it up. Grrr.
Amanda - too funny! I need to get a frontloader! Oscar has never put himself to sleep anywhere other than the carseat! Bugger about the feeds Oscar just got back and was hanging for a feed...and didn't end up having much guess he had too much going on today. But MIL said he should probably bring some milk with him next time. He may not NEED it, and he would prefer drinking it from a boob, but I think the taste settles him down when he's with someone else. I think I'll have a good cry and withdraw from everyone when Oscar self-weans - lots of aromatherapy to get me feeling better about it, too! I'm not ashamed to say that I get a lot out of it as well as Oscar, so whilst one day he'll just not want it, it's become a big part of my life and I've been loving it. I know not everyone has this kind of experience, so I figure that whilst it's been great for us, why enforce the weaning?
Better go - I did my gardening stint and now I guess I should vacuum!
ETA: I know, Bath - I've been known to make do with Tupp myself...I don't think I could ever stop going into Op Shops on the off chance that they have something vintage but utterly useful!
