Yes, i'm first... a bit sad really LOL I gotta get a life!

At home with all 3 kids today as Verity is on school hols. Having a big bake: herb bread and fruitcake on the go and yoyo's this afternoon when Niall is asleep.

Nic: Oooh I hope your little man is ok now! It happens so quickly... but they often recover just as fast too.

    back later...

Nic - how funny about the dream LOL! I know about the hot baby bit - Oscar had it twice in one month It's all you can do to cuddle them and get the panadol in to try to get the temp down. Stripping him down and getting him to cuddle into my skin all night seems to help, too. I get squished between the two of them every night - I've grown to love it!
Had friends over yesterday arvo and it turned into take away dinner - had a great day! Just out on the deck then inside with the fire on. Oscar was rooted and was asleep by 9...I followed soon after, so I got another near-12 hours!
Had an appoinment this morning but DP got home with the car too late (he was doing a job at his mum's) and on my way there I called to see if it was worth going the rest of the way. Nope, so I rescheduled and headed home again. I'll be heading off soon again, to a friend's for lunch - bit of a drive, but that's cool - it's heading out towards Warburton, so I don't mind!

I have DH at home atm so have been just hanging out with the family.

Nic sorry to here about the head thats got to hurt poor little fella. I hope the temp goes down soon I know my DS used to get really high temps and still does but thankfully the girls only get normal ones.

maya its always so funny when ever you mention places you have been or places you are going to as its like a little piece of home touches me every now and then ( can make a girl very home sick ) but I love it as I think I will always see melbourne as my home..

Well we went to the beach to fly a kite yesterday but the kids got board after 2mins and ended up just playing in the sand Kailaia had her first taste of the waves and was very funny as she couldn't stand up to save herself even though the water was very shallow but she loved it and love to sit and feel the water disapier around her, but it was really nice to be able to take the kids out with out them fighting and we could let them be as loud as the wanted so we had a very relaxing afternoon, that was until we got home as when I was getting dinner ready and DH was outside mowing the lawn DD put Kailaia on our bed and decide that they would jump on the bed where kai feel off and cracked her head open, she wasnt crying too much so I asked DD what happened and she said " I dont know but baba has blood everywhere" Well that made my heart jump so I went to find her and I couldn't see her eye as it was full of blood so I was in pankic mode and picked her up ran out side to get DH and we went start to the 24hr clinc as it was 5pm so she got straight in and had to get her eye brow glued so now all is well but I am scared that it will open up again the doctor thought stichers would have been too hard to put in and I agree it was hard enough to keep her still with the glue. mind you I left that up the DH to do as I couldnt even hold her still when the doctor was tring to look at it.

So today when I took DD to gym she told everyone that baba had hurt her eye and that she had done it. Well at least she know now why I always tell her not to jump on the bed lets just hope that she has learnt and will stop from now on, But some how I think she will be back up there next week.

well better go lets hope no one else has anymore falls.

Oh poor Kai!!! How is it looking now? it's amazing she didn't suffer concussion. It must have been frightening seeing all that blood and in her eye! Oh the poor little thing it must have been soooo painful! I hope it doesn't scar. :hugs: tali, it's almost as scary for us mums!

I've been on here too much today. My sis has just joined up and I'm helping her out... her username is rosehannah (the middle names of her two DDs) so give her a warm welcome if you see her round the threads... she's not as outspoken as me LOL and is feeling a bit overwhelmed at this stage.... ah but before too long she'll be a junkie like the rest of us hey?

Nic - poor little Nixon! He must be awfully sick and hard on you too doing it on your own. How is he now? Any better? They do tend to bounce back quickly after a decent sleep.

Bath - wow, can't believe school holidays already! Verity is lucky to start them early, maybe not for you lol!!! Your baking feast sounds delicious. Will keep an eye out for your sis, she will be addicted in no time.

Maya - well done on the 12 hours! Are you nice and refreshed?

Tali - how scary for you. I'm sure a headache would have followed, ouch! Chelsea has tried to put Marley on her bed a few times but luckily I have caught her doing it before she fell off. I should tell her this story to explain why we don't buy babies on the bed!

Had another very small Melb meet at the usual place. Only 3 of us + kids. It was really nice as a new girl came along and was a bit shy but much easier to relax with only 2 others. Kids had a ball, Marley spent lots of time in the playroom wandering around. She has got a real fascination with other peoples prams, she was going from one to the other to see who or what was in there. People thought it was very funny! Chelsea was excellent, being the oldest one she was incharge making sure the other 2 younger boys were looked after. She loves being the boss!!!

    Poor little Kai and Nixon!!!

Gotta be quick cause I am going to bed early tonight - lights out by 10pm is my plan!

Flynnie is FINALLY starting to take a few steps - he stood up in the kitchen this evening while DH and I looked on and applauded - funny little guy clapped himself too

Bub-in-tum is doing well and moving heaps though naming him is a problem (I say naming "him" because naming her is easy - we have "Rose" picked out already LOL!)

DH has ALMOST finished a draft of his thesis and is planning to send it to his supervisor tomorrow - OMG I will be SOOOOO happy when it is all over.

Best news is that not only have my ulcers gone but DH's sister and her hubby and baby Angus are coming home tomorrow!! They left for the Sth Amercia before Flynn was born and in the meantime have lived in the UK with BIL's parents (BIL is a Pom), got married, conceived and reared little Angus. Theya re stopping by our place tomorrow night on the way home - luckily they returned to Australia via NZ so they won't be super-jet lagged or anything.

    Ciao bellas

Hi all, another busy day here. I did relief in a year 4/5 class today and the spent the whole time seeing how far they could push me.........it was so exhausting. I said to the deputy principal at the end of the day that I forgot how tiring it was teaching the same class all day (usually I work in a support role and spend the day going from class to class)

Cirque De Soliel was absolutley FANTASTIC on saturday night, it was such a good experience, and the show was just breath taking, I sat the whole time with my mouth open in amazement. I think that DH and i will definatley go again, well worth the money.

Tori is heaps better today, it is the first day since last tuesday that I would say she is almost back to her old self. She had her usual monday at home with her dad today, and the 2 of them got up to plenty of fun things together, including planting some seeds in the garden. She wasnt even overly happy to see me when I got home, to busy dancing to Hi-5.

Bath- I am looking forward to seeing my av. up too.
Rory- Yay to Flynn, not long till you are chasing him around the house. I love your new ticker photo.
Mel- Glad to hear you had a good meet up today.
Nic- I hope Nixon makes a speedy recovery, there is nothing worse than a sick bubba when there is nothing you can do for them.
Tali- I hope the glue holds, and Kai gets better really quickly.
Maya- I hope you enjoyed lunch with your friend.

Hello to everyone else, I hope everyone is keeping well. Fingers crossed the sunshine starts to come through regularly soon, and all the nasty bugs that are going around will disapear.
I had better go and get myself organised for work tomorrow, only another week and a bit till school holidays.......YAY

Just got home from a Tupp meeting and wolfed down some dinner and filled a 250 ml bottle with milk...
Very excited about this new venture and have training on Wednesday in Thomastown - it's a fair hike! Training finishes at 2.30, so I should be back to give Oscar a feed without exploding, maybe. Anyway, I was thinking that when I have to go out there for orders etc. I could swing a trip out to you, Bath
Nic - was your dist at T'town, too? My manager's dist changed hands and was moved from Nunawading to T'town about 6 weeks ago - bugger, cos Nunawading is very close to me!
Ali- Glad Tori's on the mend and that you got a good night out of Sat!
Mel - the meet up sounds like it was good - much like the first one we had there. I'm glad I 'blew off' the meet today (I didn't, I just had to make a call after triple booking myself!), because my GF told me that she is UTD!! She hasn't told anyone else and was busting to tell someone - she can't tell her SIL cos she'll tell her mum and the whole world will know, so I feel so damn privileged to know so soon. She's wanting to have a homebirth, but we have to work on her DP She's already started to read Dr Sarah Buckley and is doing all the right things and has the right attitude to it all, I'm so proud of her. She sort of jokingly said that I would be her doula, but I think she half meant it...and I reckon I could do some work to be a half-decent birth attendant! ANyway, I was so excited that I was busting all the way home...from Millgrove!
Better go and get to bed - the kitchen was sort of cleaned up while I was gone...but sort of not, so I'm just gonna retire and pretend it's all pristine...
    Night all!

Bath - would love to! I will try to get there about 9.30ish. My kids aren't early risers, so getting out early can be a problem some mornings LOL!!! Can I bring anything? Can you PM or email me your address? Chelsea will be very excited.

Rory - looking forward to seeing you, Flynn and your growing belly!

Ali - great news that Tori is back to her old self. They have so much fun with their daddies. Sat night sounds fantastic, I so wish I had of got tickets. Will definately go to another one, they seem to have them in Aus every couple of years.

Maya - Thomastown is a bit of a hike! Take your packed lunch lol! How lucky to be one of the first told about your GF pregnancy, you must have felt very spesh. You would be a great doula - add that to your ever growing list, you might find time one day.

Tali - how is poor Kai's head?

Work today was pretty good, not super busy which is nice. Got Chelsea's kinder photos back and they are so cute, I'm really happy with them. The one of her and Marley together is funny, a big smile from Chelsea and a very serious face from Marley. Chelsea loves drawing so there is always paper and pencils around. Marley has been picking them up and trying to draw herself and the interesting thing is, she is always picking the pencil up in her left hand! Both DH and I are left handers, Chelsea is right handed. I told DH it was bound to happen with us both being lefties. Time will tell.

Can't make the morning - I'll be rushing to make 10am for this intensive training tomorrow. I finish at 2.30, but I think I'll want to be getting home to my boy, as I'll be leaving him again in the evening with my dad, to go to brigade. I will surely be in the area in the near future to pick up things for orders here and there and I will want to make damn sure I justify all that driving!
Ooopsie, made a rash statement in that Spirituality forum without qualifying my background...I've gone back and done it now, but might be too late! Oh, well, I'll just steer clear of the Christianity forum to keep myself nice (I'm a disillusioned Christian whose made up her own belief system - institutionalisation has a lot to answer for IMO!).
Better get back to the Melways to work out the 'quickest' route...every which way seems fiddly...
    Mel - ahhh, school photos...I can't wait!!
Have a nice meet up girlies
