Hi all! Sorry haven't been around much I have been hugely busy here, what with my husband having a broken foot and all, and having to do all the stuff to look after him and Angus (and me and the house, and 2 cats.....)
Anyway, I went to a 4 day course last week, was a bit nervous how Angus would go with the BF being scheduled for the first time (he'd come in with me for a feed at 9, then one at lunchtime, then at 5 when I was picked up plus the other usual 3). All went really well, my FIL drove Angus and Greg in as needed, Angus didn't cry for boobies at all, and he slept perfectly too. What a great boy! Greg did really well with him too, putting him down to sleep at the usual times, and trying some solids with him. Phew!!!!!
Greg still has a broken foot but can come off the crutches now, and take off his cast brace when he wants to - this means he can now take Angus for a walk, he can now drive (it's been 6 weeks......) and he can do lots of other stuff too! Yay!!!
Angus weighs about 8.5 kg, no idea how long he is, he's in size 0 sleepsuits generally (not the Bonds ones they are small). he's been more interested in eating recently, and tried his first meat this week (a piece of rissole) and actually ate something from a spoon properly for the first time this week!!! Finally! Got an Ikea high chair, wondeful thing, so easy to clean etc.
Angus has been pulling himself up into standing for 4 weeks now (my how time flies) and furniture cruises around the coffee table, couch, and other things. He loves to stand at the drop of a hat, and also like to walk a few steps holding onto your hands. He's so fast I can't step out of the room for more than 10 sec as he's off after me. No teeth, but hard little gums. He says Daddy a lot, and a lot of other things, but nothing like Mummy or Mama yet (sad........) His latest trick is standing up in the cot when he wakes from a nap, and giving the biggest smiles when we go in!
We are still bfing 6-7 times per day as Angus doesn't really eat much in the way of solids. I don't mind, I know it's the good stuff, and if I didn't we'd have to buy formula and I can't afford that anyway. No AF here which isn't a problem, I'm just concerned that when it does arrive it will be in a rush when I'm out shopping or something!
Sorry haven't posted personals, have enjoyed reading what you all have been up to, sounds like things are changing for lots of us.
Oh and Dragonstorm - welcome to you and Nate, lovely to have a bloke around here!
