Wow you all got so spoilt for mothers day I ended up going out for coffee only this morning, no time for a big breakfast by the time we got ourselves ready and then DJ. So, we went out for lunch with my mum and brother (his gf), Doni and DJ Didn't end up seeing Doni's mum for mothers day, she had the flu. Was a nice afternoon. My mum gave him into trouble for not getting me a card. Men just don't think sometimes haha My birthday is coming up so hopefully he will do better next time kehehe

Prama - what a wonderful mothers day presie that is a super good sleep woohooo DJ still woke up every 4 hours for feeds which was still good since he normally wakes up every 3 hours and he was latching on well all day. Mind you I expressed some milk so I could have some vino at lunch kehehee How was your picnic? Are you feeling better? Are you coming to class tomorrow?

SJ - so glad DH and Molly spoilt you so much - you deserve it - such a nice surprise to wake up to as well.

Danni - that is a great presie indeed getting a dishwasher, I love mine, it is a godsend!! I so hate washing dishes!!!

Trina - haha know what you mean about the washing etc no rest for us mums hey? I had to wash a full load of nappies this morning and they are in the dryer at the moment. Still lots of dishes to be stacked in the dishwasher as well, hoping hubby will get the hint and do it for me...hahaha

Well girls enjoy the rest of your mothers day and look forward to hearing more from you all I am off to relax and watch Big Brother while DJ is sleeping.

    hello!
    hope everyone's having a good mother's day and that's why it's quiet!
had lovely picnic, SIL and BIL(they dont have kids) prepared a lovely lunch for MIL, DH and I. Poopy was good, but got a bit grizzly just as I started to have lunch. So i put him in the hug a bub and he fell asleep so I managed to eat with him in the sling. MIL was very sweet and offered to carry him after she's had her lunch (everyone had almost finished when I continued my lunch) but I told her to relax and that he's asleep so it's ok.

Shell - glad you had a nice time! What did you have for lunch?
Men are silly sometimes arent tehy. sometimes just a card would do, we dont expect expensive presents!
And very clever of DJ to sleep longer just for you!
will be there tomorrow, tho feeling a bit lazy after missing a week!

Trina - hope you got spoilt by 4 lovely girls! yes, any mother would love a day without housework as a present!

danni - well done on a dishwasher! I'm still the dishwasher at home. I dont mind washing up really. DH is hopeless doing teh dishes. He does the washing every week (our clothes, I wash nappies every other day) but dishes is not this thing!

SJ - enjoy your new pressies tonight!

I miss my mom more this year than any other year....

Im glad everyone had a lovely mother's day... hubby bought me flowers and a card which he pretended that monkey wrote - very cute he even wrote letters back to front and even wrote it like a kid - i think he used his non writing hand lol...sweet though. I feel as u get older gifts just arent in the pix...although a card would always be nice - which i tell my husband all the time... dont expect anything just a nice card with nice words... monkey was pretty good today - slept and finally slept during the day and a proper sleep at that... he even woke up adn settled himself phew.... or else i would of gone crazy.

Shell /Prama - funny how we have same nik names for our little ones.... for some reason my hubby is obsessed with calling him monkey and wants to buy stuffed monkey toys - thankgod we cant find any hehehehe re: poopy name - i love it.... Joshi does the maddest farts hahahaha we sometimes think its a poo but i tell u what it sure vibrates.... he once did a very smelly one when my hubby was holding him and it seriously reaked and lingered.... for a guy hubby couldnt handled it -i was laughing so hard as well cause joshi had this content and proud look on his face....typical boy.

    xxxx good night grls.

Prama - i miss my Mum too - every year at the start of May she heads back to the UK as her Mum (my Nanny) has her birthday today (she is 94 this year !!!). Fortunatly she will be back at the end of May. I cant imagine what it would be like for you with Mums that are so far away.

Had the best sleep last night... put Molly Jane down at 8.30pm and she woke at 6am... thats a record for us, had to express a little after the feed as she couldnt drink all the milk that was bursting out of my boobs!

Question... what's the difference between nappy rash and Thrush?
Molly is really red on her bum and up the front (tried to have a bit of a look around her vagina, but that looks Ok) have layered on the sudocream for the last 2 days but it doesnt seem to help. The reason that i was thinking maybe thrush is that i got a touch of it a couple of days ago (about when her rash developed)...

DJ managed to do another full four hour sleeps which is good for me mind you he hardly slept at all yesterday so he was very overtired. He is whinging a bit this morning because of his wind, so gave him some Donnalix, not working. Might grab some Infants Friend while I am out today, finding Donnalix not doing anything for him anymore.

SJ - DJ had nappy rash a month ago and it was caused by the nappy wipes I was using. It took a while to go away because I didn't click as to the cause of it until it wouldn't go away...... but thrush is totally different, but not sure how to determine if a baby has thrush. Someone suggested to check the bubs mouth for any whiteness which could be a sign of thrush. Hope that helps

Prama - yeah know the feeling, I am soooo tired today but really need to go to class. Picnic sounds fantastic glad you had a great time. We ended up going to Wentworthville Leagues Club since it is local to my mum and we knew that wouldn't be prob especially with no booking. I was a bit unorganised and hadn't booked anywhere.

Ania - not sure why we call him monkey either just suits him kehehe

Well girls have a super day

PS: the dishes I left for Doni are still sitting on the bench looks like I have to stack the dishwasher haha

I was wondering what a bump was too glad Andie asked to stop me looking like a goose...oh wait lol!
Thanks Bec, I PM'd my email. Bummer about AF. I think I had a two day reprieve...my lochia finished and 2 days later AF started and that was about 8 weeks so annoying. I wasn't sure if it was AF tho given that I was and still am exclusively BF so I went and saw the GP and she sent me for an ulstrasound just to be on the safe side and they found I have poly-cystic ovaries. So today I had a blood test to make sure I don't have PCOS, which I'm pretty sure I don't have (according to my self diagnosis!!) and really don't want!!! About 2 weeks ago I was very much wanting to be pg again but I'm back to my senses now and am happy to wait a bit and make the most of Flynn!!!
I have finally gotten Flynn out of the bassinet in our room and into the cot in his room. It is going pretty well except it is VERY cold getting OUT of bed for the night feed Oh well at least it is only once and I am getting about 5 hrs before and 4 hrs after! Can't complain about that.
I went shopping today and while I was in BigW looking for breast pads (which I couldn't get) I had a look at the racks of reduced clothes. They had these cute little (baby)fleecy hood (with ears) jackets...for $2!!! They didn't have any 00 so I got a 0 which is ridiculously large but I couldn't not buy it...it was $2, can't resist a bargain
Anyway I think that's all I have to share
    Hope you are all well

    Hi all,

So that's what a bump is huh? Yup, told ya ... !

Am currently trying to get my son to sleep - given that he had nearly four hours from 1pm onwards, I shouldn't be surprised that's he's not settling easily tonight. Luckily it's just grizzling more than actual crying. But I can tell he's slowly on the way out. Pretty rare for us as normally he conks out as soon as he's put to bed. Oh well, he wouldn't be a baby if he didn't grizzle now and again at bedtime.

Wanna know something funny .... I'm beginning to think Cam is saying 'mum'. Of course, it comes out more like 'uuuummmmm' but it COULD be mum, right?
Yeah, yeah ... I know, I'm just hearing things! AS IF he's saying mum ... he's not even three months old. Still, sure sounds like 'muuuum' when he's grizzling

Speaking of the little devil, I can hear him grizzling for 'muuuummmmm' right now. So much for being 'on the way out". Sigh!

    Have a good night all,
    Andie

    hi girls,

Bec: yay for Jake sleeping so long, i have a feeling i wont be bragging about James sleeping through for a very long time ! but he has learnt to giggle to that is very cute ! as far as thinking about number 4.....i think you know when you are done and it dsoesnt sound like you are ! just have to talk DH around

Andie: what a clever boy Cam is learning to say muuummm already hehe enjoy your weekend away !

Catherine: i hope you dont have PCOS, i have it and it isn't great fun ! when will you get blood test results ?

James is unsettled tonight (nothing knew there ! although he was good for a few nights there sleeping 7 hours straight from around 7pm but he has given that up again ! doh !) hopefully we have an ok night. Emily is getting better, no fever now, had some vomiting and general lethargy, so far we have avoided it !

we are supposed to be putting floorboards down in the living area this weekend (the carpet is trashed from spills etc) but dont think it will be happening now as DH has been sick, i would prefer carpet because it feels cosier to me but floorboards (fake ones) will be more hygenic for now !

Andie- I hear Espen's cries as "muuummm" too! I told my H and pointed it out to him a couple of times and funnily enough he can't hear it!
