Just bumping us back to page 1.
Nothing much happening here, Kodi has so much more personality now. She is always smiling or laughing i really love this age.
I can't believe how close we are to Christmas, i'm really looking forward to it.
Hope all the Bubs & Mums are well.
-
We moved yesterday!! All went fairly smoothly, nothing discovered broken yet although I still have a few boxes to unpack. Imogen has been sleeping in her new room and in her cot so that is new haha.
-
glad to hear the move wasnt too bad JB, and that immy is in her cot! YAY
mo- yep they certainly do have a personality now hey~! chelsea is very giggly and giggles when we tickle her or blow raspberries! :-)
we are back from our holiday now. it was great to get away and have mum and dad there to help out. they took chelsea for a walk in the pram just about every morning. DH is back at work for the first day back today which i am not happy about! gotta get back to reality though i spose.
i have decided to become a tupperware demonstrator which is a bit exciting but also nerve racking. got a meeting tonight and then i have to organise my 4 parties that they make you do in 2 weeks! that is gonna be pretty full on.
hmm.. what else. oh chels is still doing the drag and pull to get around not proper crawling yet. she can get into a sitting position from laying down though the cheeky little thing! she has had conjunctivitis too, it is terrible trying to get those drops into a babies eyes 4 times a day! LOL
hope everyone else is going well.
-
hi all. sorry been MIA here too! I cant believe susie is 6 months old! eating solids, sitting up, showing lots of personality! she and I are both sick atm. both have a cold, Susie has a ratty cough too so we're off to doctors this afternoon! shes rolled a coupleof times but with the wind/reflux she still doesnt spend huge amounts of time on the floor so we just doing our best!
Hollo - v exciting re the tupperware! susie is still only haing milk from the breast so something like that wouldnt work for us just yet...but its something Ive been thinking of for a while now :) good luck with it! yuck to the conj. poor darlings! hope they better soon!
JB - sounds like you had a really rough time, hope all is settled down for you guys now!
Mo - Im loving this age too but missing have a lil bubba too lol! think we'll be looking to start trying for a lil bro/sis earl in the new year!!
Helen - very exciting J is moving backwards!
hi to every1 else, sorry run out oftime. gonna put lil miss to bedand go back myself
-
SP...its crazy how quick they are growing hey!!! I saw a friends 5week old the other day...Im sure Joshie was NEVER that small lol!!
~Phoenix~...this really is a fun age...watching them develop their little personalities and likes n dislikes :) Oh man I am so not ready for Xmas, as I suspected would happen, it really sneaking up on me this year!
JB...hope youre settling into the new place well :) thats great that Imogen is in her own room and cot, I hope she is liking it there!!
Hollo....glad you had a good time away and hopefully easing back into reality wont be too big a drama for you guys....thats the worst part of a holiday huh (that and catching up on laundry lol) Good luck with your tupperware selling...do you know if you can take orders outside the parties (would love to look thru a catalogue, Im a tupperware addict lol) I was looking at some party plan things too....its always those start up parties that stop me tho...very daunting to find that many and DH isnt too thrilled about them!
MrsC...hope you guys are feeling better soon, its never good having a sick bubba, but always worse when mummy is sick too :(
AFM....Im definately missing my tiny little baby at the moment lol (shhh dont tell hubby but getting clucky again lol) Josh is going thru a "no hugs" phase...I think because he is figuring out how to move around etc, he just wont lie still and nap with me anymore :(
We've been experimentng with different vegies for dinner and Josh is having weetbix for breaky now too. Only problem...he is doing three or four foul poo's a day!!! Bleargh!!! after having a regular once a day boy for so long, its taking some getting used to lol.
Still no crawling here, but he will happily sit up and play for ages. No teeth yet either....but still waking many times thru the night, and nearly every hour thru the nite he will scream out even tho he's still asleep....seeing the nurse later this week for shots so hoping she might have some ideas!!
Have you guys started going back to work yet??? Ive really been worrying about this lately :( not sure what to do!!
-
Hollo... glad the holiday went well and you enjoyed a bit of baby-free time! How cool that you are becoming a tupperware demonstrator, I love the stuff. Hope it all goes well for you :)
MrsC... hope you are both feeling better soon, it is no fun being sick!
Helen_au... yep, we are getting the million poos a day lately, too. We were quite spoilt there for a while with one a week but as soon as solids came into the picture it seems like I am forever changing dirty nappies. Sounds like it could be teeth giving him trouble. It sounds like what Imogen did when she got her bottom two... at 4 months! She still hasn't gotten anymore yet haha!!
AFM... We have just started sitting here but she is still a little unstable. No proper crawling but she gets onto her knees and launches herself forward like that to get around. We are going pretty slowly with solids, Imogen isn't too interested. She slept the best she has in months last night; only woke at 1am and 4am. She also spent the whole night in the cot (after a feed and resettle when she woke) so that is such a big yippee for us! DP has this whole week off work so we can really tackle her sleep and get our new place all organised so he has taken DD out this morning so I could have a sleep in and little break but I am starting to wish they would hurry up and get home, getting bored!!
I'm not planning to go back to work at this stage. Our plan is for me to go back to study when DD goes to kindy or if we have another child in between all of that, I will go back when the youngest starts kindy if that makes sense. So got a couple of years to think about what I want to study!
We are still discussing the second child dilemma. I am still scared, DP is still keen. I would love another but I am so worried about the pregnancy and birth (even though my first was completely trouble free.. I think it is that whole lightning doesn't strike the same place twice thing) that I wonder if I will ever be ready... for now we are just waiting... and waiting... and waiting!
Hope everyone is well :)
-
JB-I just wanted to say i have great births & labors both times.
Maddi was an easy pregnancy & a 17hr labor with no drugs.
Kodi wasn't as easy a pregnancy as Maddi but still good & only a 2hr 30 mins labor with no time for dugs lol. I 'm kinda scared that if we have a 3rd i wont make it to the hospital in time lol
Helen Kodi just loves her Cuddles & we are still only doing poo's every 4 or so days.
Aussie hope you & Susie are feeling better soon.
Hollo glad you had a holiday
As for the crawling Kodi does a backwards commando crawl, it's so cute.
-
my second pregnancy was less troublesome than first and labour was so much better and quicker second time round too. however, i am finding my patience is less with having the second baby around and there seems to be never enough time. so i am definately not having anymore.
chels is really getting into her solids now, she actually opens her mouth and eats a fair bit, we gave her chicken last night for the first time, i have to put puree apple in her vegies though so she will eat em.
yep i am excited about the tupperware thing. i dont think i am really allowed to talk much about it on here (rules about promoting business stuff) but yes you can order through the catalogue only. pm me if you want any further details.. (not sure if i am even allowed to write that... eeek)

hi Linda :) all the best re 'frosty' :)
thanks for the well wishes. still sick here but muddling through. DH has been a big help which is hard cause he's trying to get over a cold too! took Susie to the doc yest and her ears and chest are clear but her throats a bit red so he said just keep up the panadol. i was suppposed to go to dentist today but had to reschedue cause cant breathe...next avail appointment is 19th November. crazy!
JB - I'm actually keen on the idea of pregnancy, labour and birth again. Its just the potential of another bub being colicky/refluxy that I am not ready to handle just yet!
-
Linda can't believe you only have 5 days left, how exciting!
I have everything crossed for you.
xxx
-
I know I have the AF feeling this morning so maybe earlier!
-
Best of luck with your little frostie bubba, hope all goes well!
-
TL - best wishes for your TTC.:goodluck:
Mrs C - I had a terrible time with my first bub having reflux and colic. I have been aware of your extra hard road. I too was concerned about having another baby as a result but conceived unintentionally when Josh was 15 months. Baby number 2 was the most settled child you would ever imagine - just slept and fed until 4 months and he is still a great guy now. I think you learn all the tricks when you are baptised in fire the first time!
What does AF stand for? I gather you are referring to return of menstruation.
ATM - Miss T is sitting, rolling, pushing along a bit with her legs but cant get the arms to work for crawling. She passes toys between her hands and babbles and giggles. She loves to entertain a crowd any time. Just had immunisations and doing OK.
Eating mostly fruit and veg with a bit of cereal and chicken at times. Drinks water from spout cup which she likes to hold and is trying to feed herself with a spoon. She is way too curious and busy now. Loves books!!
Sleeps 2 times 2hours roughly in day and 11 hours o/night. Likes her bm alot and probably has too many feeds but hey its on demand.:D:bfeedpink:
I am returning to very part time work tomorrow! I am nervous about leaving T but parents are having her. Its the booby addiction I am most concerned about. I can feed in am and lunch time and pm but its the little comforting feeds in between that I am thinking we will miss.
Bought some new outfits from the recycle boutique yesterday as my super skinny stuff doesnt fit yet unfortunately.
-
bron sounds like things are going really well for you. T is in a really good routine! i wish chelsea would get better with the sleeping thing. who would have thought sleeping was something that is so hard for some and needs to be learnt!
AF= aunty flo and you are right its your period.
TL- good luck! cant wait to see your BFP!
-
Ella saId mum mum mum today :leap:
Im so excited!!!!!
-
hip hip hooray to 'mum mum mum' Susie is saying da da da a lot and apparently her cry in the car was 'muuum muuuum' kinda sound but not quite connected with ppl yet lol!
Thanks for the encouragement pumpkin! congrats to all the moement! sounds like Miss T is doing great!
Susie had MCHN visit today. no immunisations cause of cold/cough but apart from that doing well. very small weight and length gain, she was 5.99kg and 60cm but nurse happy cause shes chubby enough and happy and developing :)
-
Just stopping in quickly. Will be without internet for another week and a bit but loving the new place. Hope everyone is well, we are doing good here :)
Will be thinking of you for the transfer Linda! Positive vibes!!! Will have to catch up soon xo
-
Hi ladies, hope everyone is well. My Lily now has viral bronchiolitis and gastro :shakehead: not something she needs while she is already so small with so many health issues!!! she had an endoscopy last week and that has still given us no insight as to whats wrong with our girl. She is still under 5kg at nearly 7 months of age (5 and a half months corrected) grrr sorry just needed to vent!
oh and just wondering if anyone can tell me how to add a photo of bubs to signature...I just cant seem to figure it out!?!?!
-
i think i used to use the bellybelly ticker and there is an upload photo bit where you click and then browse through where it is stored on your computer. then add and save. it has to be a square shape i think so you may need to pre crop it.
-
I put my photo on when i made my ticker. it had to be reduced though as there is a size limit
-
I uploaded the photo to photobucket first and then included a link :)
-
oh my god, chelsea just pulled herself up to standing on the couch seat. only lasted a moment before falling back down but sheesh! she isnt even crawling 'properly' yet.
-
Hollo - that is very cool! I hear from the MCHN that more bubs skip crawling these days - straight to walking maybe!
Hey thanks for the definition - I never would have guessed Aunty Flow in a million years!
Dottie - Loads of hugs going your way - it is hard to comprehend the hard road you are walking. I hope your fighting girl kicks this bronchiolitis really soon!! Lilypie have tickers with photos and I found it easier to use. You may have to resize your photo on photoshop or equivalent to make it 600mp in size I think.
Kell - Its what you wait for - your little girl saying Mum at last:clap:
Mrs C - your baby looks nice and bonny in the photo :D
JB - happy house warming. I'm glad it is suiting you.
And us.... return to work went well - Miss T hardly seemed to notice that I went. Took the bottle on Thursday no probs. I was full as a goog all day though as I forgot my pump!
T had shots on Tuesday and started to be really sick with cold on Friday avo so difficult to feed and settle for my mum. She has had 4 nights of needing too many cuddles and feeds. Its Murphy's law I guess as I am back to work. We slept a lot yesterday!
-
Hollo Kodi has done the same thing & we are still only commando crawling here.
Bron so glad your return to work went well.
I love all the pics of the babies, they are all so beautiful.
-
Dotty your poor little darling! hope she feels better soon!
Hollo - wow! pulling herelf up already! Susie isnt even rolling much..she can roll tummy to back but hasnt done the other way yet. she loves standing on our legs...is quite strong too! and she loes sitting...wont be long and she'll figure out a way to get from her tummy to her bum I'm sure lol!
poor lil love here has been having issues with going...she went 12 days with just a tiny lil bit coming out friday and then one decent sized one yesterday..but it definitely wasnt 12 days worth!! so theres gotta be more! will try more brown sugar and water today and if that hanst helped will call the MCHN line again.
-
its not that great actually.. kind of a pain in the bum! got to be one step behind her at all times! chels is crawling properly too so the loungeroom is no longer her only area of exploration ARGH!
poor bub mrs C, hope you get the constipation sorted soon. you could try a bit of prune juice, or puree prunes in some solid food... or puree apple etc.
i have my first tupperware demonstration on the weekend NERVOUS! LOL
-
Hi girls,
Am finally back online after a huge couple of weeks. We are at DP's family's place in Russia and it is freezing outside but really really warm inside because of the central heating, which is annoying (we are wearing summer clothes and sweating)
Alexandra is so smitten by her grandad and her cousin, she absolutely adores them in particular. We had fantastic flights on the way over and had a few people comment to us about how quiet Alexandra was, she was very well behaved :)
No time for personals, will have to pop back in later, have a huge inbox full of emails to get through
-
FF - wow it is cool that you can communicate whilst over in Russia. I had heard about the over heated houses. Glad to hear your bub was settled on the journey! Bet DPs folks are excited to have you there!
Hollo - damn those clever early movers eh! Good luck with your first demo. Hope you sell heaps!
Mo - yeah commando style here too. Moving a lot further all of a sudden though.
Kell - lots of dadadadada from our girl. I keep telling her if she wants my attention its "mum"! She is taking an interest in her Dad in particular lately.
Sometimes I swear she says her name but it seems unlikely. Her brothers want to know when they can have a decent chat with her but are really taken with her daily development anyway.
-
oh and Mrs C - it is not that common to be constipated if breast fed unless some problem with solids. What is she up to with the solids? Cereal, potato, and meat can bind them up a bit. Fruit is pretty safe. Breast milk is not known to be constipating (formula can be however).
-
Just bumping us again.
Things are going well here, Maddi took one of Kodi's toys off her this morning.
Kodi kinda leaped at Maddi & starting pulling her hair & scratching her face, It was so cute.
Bout time Maddi got a taste of her own medicine!
Question time.
What are all the Mums buying the bubba for their 1st Christmas?
I was thinking of buying K a Vtech 1st walker.
Hope all the bubba are well.
-
we have one of those on layby for xmas!
-
I dont know what ill get Ella , i need some ideas. I have some little things put away.
Our house already looks like a toy shop :D
I was thinking a sandpit, but all she did was eat it at the beach, so maybe not yet
Maybe a slide, but id rather wait till her birthday
We are good here, Ella is into everything, she can pull herself up and is crawling properly most of the time when she dosent commando crawl
Also we have our FIRST tooth here this week, only just broken through on the bottom but i was super excited :D
-
Kodi has just cut her 1st tooth, she was really good so i wonder if the teething necklace really did help her.
Kell you could buy some cute shoes, books, those half shells for water or sand, toddler bikes or even one of those outdoor inflatable toddler pools with the sunshade.
Congrats to Ella cutting her 1st tooth!
-
Kellbell and Mo - Congrats on the first tooth!! We are still waiting
I went shopping with my Dad last week and got Miss T a Little Tikes Clock that talks and a lovely Pumpkin Patch summer dress and short cardy as well as a long sleeved Peek a Boo bib for food play times. DH bought her a poodle handbag through work. I think that will do her really. It is easy to spoil them with stuff and I always restrained myself when the boys were little. There are so many birthdays and Christmases to come and they get sick of plastic toys very quickly.
DH parents have bought a Little Tikes walker/ride on for her
What cool home made toys have you made?
I made a Barrocca tube into a rattle today with rice and tape and she loved it!
-
Bron that's why we buy the big items, because everyone else buys them so many toys & clothes.
For Maddi we are getting her a Kitchenette, Dora sofa(for both girls) & maybe a slide to go with the swing set she got for her birthday.
As for homemade toys, a cardboard box always goes down well lol
-
hi just finish scan it was awsome got to see everything and we found out we having a boy im excitied but hubby was bit up set he wanted a girl. But he'll come around i hope. Oh so exciting.
-
hi shazza, i think you may have posted in the wrong buddy group! but congrats! the scan is always so exciting! congrats on your baby boy!
-
Yes cardboard boxes work well. I have photos of me as a toddler climbing in and out of them and making houses.
DH parents have bought T a push along ride on from Little Tikes. Our families tend to buy the big pressies and none of the sibs buy gifts at all.
-
Not much happening here.
Had an Iron infusion yesterday so hopefully i start feeling better soon.
Kodi is doing well, we go for her 8 month check up soon. Feels like she weighs at least 8kgs now.
Hope everyone is well :)
