I'm still super psyched about my little lady walking. She doesn't do it much and is pretty wobbly, still prefers to crawl everywhere or hang on to things to get around. How long would you say it took for your bubs to transition between crawling preference and walking preference? Do your bubs still crawl now or do they fully walk? Not in a rush, just curious and excited hehe.
Oh also wondering how much any little ones are breastfeeding? I think my DD is feeding too much and its causing her to not eat much solids which is worrying me a bit because she is so tiny but because she won't eat much solids, I want to feed more... vicious cycle! I think I need to bite the bullet a little and hold of feeding slightly and wait for her solid intake to pick up but the thought of her going hungry makes me ill...
JF it took about 2 weeks for K to prefer walking over crawling & K's solid intake was the same, it wasn't till we started cutting out the booby that she started eating more. For what it's worth K was never hungry instead of offering booby i offered her food. She always ate when she was hungry

DH is sleeping a lot when he is home. The whole thing wore him out. I have just signed up for hospital insurance and booked my own after care follow up as the hospital did nothing!

DD is still crawling, but on Sunday she took hold of her walker and she was off, laughing her head off, me grabbing the video camera and blubbering like the biggest sook. It was awesome, after everything she has been through, to see her grab hold and walk. Won't be long now before she builds her confidence and walks alone, I'm sure. We're doing lots of practice with her numbers, it's not something I want to lose. Work today was okay - I was given plenty of things to do so the time went quickly.
On another note - am very glad the Melbourne gunman was caught! I live very close to Whittlesea!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!
What naps are your bubbas having (not that they are babies anymore) should say toddlers!!!
Ella has one in the morning around nine and an arvo one but having trouble with the morning one - maybe she dosent need it anymore?
at this age is 11 o clock a good time or should just leave her till 1pm?

My friends little boy three weeks older than Ella has ZERO naps in the day that would just do my head in and she has another baby due in a month !!!!!!
Oh I feel lucky on the nap front. T is sleeping 10ish for 2 hours and then again at 4 ish for 2 hours and then down around 7.30pm for an 11 hour sleep! I know the boys did nothing of the sort though! I think DS1 dropped his one day sleep by 18 months. There are so many variations on normal.
Corelly - Eltham is a lovely place to visit. T is too small for sitting through Alice in Wonderland I wreckon but it sounds like a good event. We will be at Monsalvat (in Eltham) for my DS2 to film some of his Yr 12 Media project next Tuesday. It is an amazing place that encourages artists.
Corelly that is so amazing that your DD is counting. Never seen that at her age before - and I have seen a lot of bubs. Sounds like she will walk soon!
T is saying lots of words now which is cool. She tells a story about a dog in the park with sound effects when my mum reminds her - very cute. When I was in hospital she was so good - she snuggled into my bed and didnt move - just read books and slept for much of the time.
We got a lovely table and chairs from Aldi today for T. She ate her lunch at it just now. There were heaps of parents buying toys for Christmas - very cheap but nice wooden stuff. Check it out ASAP if you can as it started today and stock was going fast.
Weve been :-) We fought 1000 other people at 8.30 this morning to get the wooden kitchen i even got shoved by some lady who pushed me to get to the toys
Got a wooden tea set, puzzles and the kitchen and a sink/dishwasher but that was plastic
They had good stuff. thought about getting the boys train track but i might never have a boy so i restrained myself
DD is having one nap for 2hrs (occasionally 3) from about 11am, has been doing this for a while now but can't remember exactly when she started. She goes to bed by 8pm and wakes for the day around 7:30am.
DD isn't napping much at all during the day. If we go out in the car she will, but at home, nada! She's been going to bed earlier, but only occassionally sleeps through, but I noticed tonight another tooth has popped through, so maybe she'll settle again. I'd love her to sleep a bit more, she has her quiet moments during the day, but little sleep.
SP - Montsalvat is lovely. I'm in Eltham too on Tuesday, working though. I'm so excited DD can count and she's getting quicker too. Someone said today that maybe because she had to sit still for so long, that she has developed in other areas quicker than normal. Sort of makes sense I guess. During her plaster and brace, I talked to her a lot so maybe that's all rubbed off.
I'm three days into six days of work, tired and getting a cold. When kids are sick we've always found that parents bring them to the shop to buy a new book so they can rest. And give me the bugs! Got into the codral today so hopefully can fob it off. Work is okay, the shop seems to have been a bit neglected, books are all over the place, so I've been keeping busy tiding and making new displays. One stand is exactly how I left it over 15 months ago! Bit of a worry!
Kodi was dancing this afternoon to the new Usher song, she was spinning around in circles when she tripped over feet & hit her forehead on the corner of the wall.
1st i thought she just knocked her head, but when i picked her up blood was pouring of the cut, she had blood all over her face, on her clothes, on my top & all over the tea towel. It was horrible!
She was lucky & only needed it glued together & bandages put on. We go back in 5 days to get re checked.
It is nasty looking, she had a little tanty just before & hit her head, so now her bandage is soaked with blood so looks like we are back off to the DR's tomorrow to get it re done.
I never want to see that much blood come from either of my girls ever again.
Thanks ladies K is doing well today, Dr told us to keep her dosed up on pain relief for the next few days so that seems to help.
You can always tell when she's due for more, because she'll touch her head & go ouch and she becomes very grouchy
