    Happy 1/4 year birthday Jesse!

I wish Jazz would sleep through the night again. She was so good before but now she'll wake at about 12:30 but I don't get her up then. I go in, put a dummy in her mouth and she usually goes back to sleep for 30mins to an hour or a bit longer if I'm lucky. Then she'll wake up 2-4 hours after a feed.
Last night when she was up at 2am for a feed DH got up as well so he could watch the F1. Jazz then woke at 6am and I'm in the habit of no matter what, I set an alarm for 8am and get up then. When she wakes at 6am she'll finish the feed at about 7ish so I usually stay up, there is no point going back to bed IMO. So I'm up, she's in bed, DH is in bed and that's the way it is.

Any one else found ticklish spots yet?? Under Jesse's arms & the top inside of his thigh. He cacks himself. Its so funny.

Danni - Jesse has good nights & bad nights. Last night was a bad one.Went down around 8.30. Woke at 1am, 3.30am, 5am, 6.30am, 7.30am. The night before was good though. Went down about 9.pm & only woke at 3am, then 7.30. Almost every nights different. I think last night he had a dirty nappy though. He doesn't usually dirty it through the night, & I use Huggies so I don't have to change him. But obviously last night I should've. Oh well, we r still alive.

    Morning girls,

How are you all? I am pretty good just very tired even though DJ is sleeping well, just so tired..... Last night he went to bed at 7pm at my mums place and then continued to sleep when we got home and thought I will just stay up and see how long he will sleep for and by 11:30 I ended up waking him up for a feed and a change of nappy and then put him back in his cot and he continued to sleep and woke up at 5:45am, so now I wish I just went to sleep early so I don't feel so tired haha So he had a great sleep.

Lisa - that is a tough decision but one that only you can make. I plan to go back to work on 1 September, and also have no choice because we will need the money by then, but hoping to negotiate with my boss so I can return to work part-time (3-4 days per week). I think in today's society you have no choice but to go to work and leave children in childcare because with the increasing interest rates and even the rise in petrol prices, it is hard to manage with one wage. That is my own opinion. For women who can stay at home with bub I think that is fantastic also, I wish I could do that but then again, I do enjoy my job and need my own time to be myself and stimulate the brain. I always knew that I would return to work, at least part-time anyway.

Danni - so is Jazz wanting playtime after a feed early hours of morning??? I have heard of mums talking about this, but apparently it is just a stage they go through. I haven't gone through it with DJ yet and not looking forward to him wanting to play at 3am eeek

No thankfully! She'll fall asleep on the boob and sometimes just doesn't want the 2nd boob. She does go back to sleep quickly during night feeds. I think thats coz I wont change her until about 6am and I don't take her out of her sleeping bag. I don't think she fully wakes up during the night. From about 6am, when she wakes up she's fully awake (might go back to sleep after feed) but when she's awake then as soon as I walk in her room she'll open her eyes and either smile or laugh!

I'm trying to get her to sleep now but I think she's trying to do a poo

Paddy is offically no longer a newborn. He has definately made the transition this week. He no longer likes to lie down all the time and tries to sit up, he doesn't feed to sleep much anymore and wants to see what's going on around him while feeding (a bit of nipple exposure whilst in public is good for the character i spose). We've stopped putting him in his hammock because he hasn't been putting himself back to sleep as easily as he does in the cot (after a quick chat to his friends of course) He props up on his arms for ages when on his tummy and doesn't whinge about it anymore. Last night he rolled from his tummy to his back, much to his amusement.

BJ Paddy is ticklish under his chin and generally on his tummy. Isn't it funny when they cack themselves. We took down his hammock today and attached the jumper, he loved it and absolutley cack himself when he realised he could bounce up and down.

I'm going to try to get him to put himself to sleep in the cot from now on. He did it this morning so let's hope it works again.

im planning to go back to work 3 days a week in feb. i dunno what to suggest.. i guess as parents, it's a bit of a lose lose situation when you dont hv family support or anyone to look after bub and need to go back to work. it sux.

shell - glad dj is sleeping longer! are you to class tom, i think it will be at box hill so easy class!

poopy giggles like crazy if we put him on the bed and bounce the bed..he's starting to grasp his hair and pull it!

Wow. Rolling already cute. Jesse tries if he's in the mood. He comes closer to doing it if on his back & wakes up trying to find the boob. He tries to latch onto the side of his rocker.

He's definetely not a newborn either. I dunno when he made the change, but I'm not happy about it! My girls did everything too early - Bri was sitting at 4 months & crawling at 6 1/2! I always thought boys developed slightly slower than girls, but I don't think he is planning on listening to that statistic! Bugger. He will lay in my arms if happy enough though. Not for long.

Any one else got a bald patch yet? Poor Jesse's bald on the back of his head! Bri didn't get it til about 4 months & Jaz was bald til she was 3 so never had the chance.

    Hey girls,

DJ has been so unsettled today and been feeding every 1-2 hours I think he has hit another growth spurt.....Hope he doesn't want a feed every 2 hours tonight eeeek

Prama - yeah looks like it will be at Box Hill especially with this weather grrrrr I actually prefer it to be outside

I have started weaning DJ off the boob and he is going well on the formula so by the end of this month he will be off the breast yipeeeee He will have had breastmilk for 4 months and I have had enough of breastfeeding (so please don't judge me). I don't enjoy it anymore and he hardly feeds for very long and is always unsettled after a feed.....Anyway I feel happy about doing it.

Anyway I have to get going, so have a great night girls.
