Thanks SJ and Prama, still have a week or so to go until he comes back. Just need a decent sleep i think, i am so tired and no energy to keep up with cleaning and washing and so the cycle begins. I am working Thursday afternoon/night and every 2nd Sat Summy still not taking the bottle she hates it. She has started having a taste of solids, gave her some mashed potato tonight and she got so angry that i took the spoon away she loved it so much. My girls are constantly bickering at the mo and it's only the first day of hols *sigh* and Tahnie cut her foot on an old metal gutter last night between her big and next toe and a little flap hanging off, it's not too bad just in a really bad spot and hard to keep clean and dry and covered... Gosh i sound like a whinger

Bron glad nothing too bad wrong bugger on the constipation reminders of pg. How fantastic on the clothes you could almost put him in something different every day. Hope you are feeling better soon

SJ glad MJ is better lucky she has a nurse mummy to look after her. Yeah i think i am going to have to go to Dr and not the immunisation clinic just so much happening . Thanks for the lovely thoughts sweetie xoxo Summy is super fussy on the boob sometimes like she is too busy wanting to check everything else out she is super hard to amuse too, just wants to be carried around, am bidding on a high chair on ebay so she can sit up and see everything.

Hope poopy is ok Prama poor little fella UTI isn't nice sounds like you caught it so quick you clever mummy. 1/2kg is great well done i haven't weighed myself in a while just don't really care although went through some clothes today and all my nice stuff may be an incentive to eat better. I work super hard but lately haven't been eating properly.

Good luck with the job interview Danni.

Wow that is some walking shell, careful you don't get UTD again cos you looking so damn hot hehehe.

There are a few missing lately wonder how Jade is going

Well that's me hope i didn't leave anyone out off to watch telly for a bit then off to bed.

bron - so sorry to hear abt the low iron . can they give you anything to get your energy up?
wow, so many clothes!! you'll save heaps of money for the next 3 yrs! well done!

trina - thanks, we are lucky we noticed the pink. i dont know how long he's had it as our microfleece liners are navy blue. im going to ask steve to get some light coloured ones to replace these.
oh, the paed said if it is indeed UTI, she will give soem antibiotics. can a 4mth old take them?

the scales show 1/2kg but my body doesnt feel any different yet. it will take a while. hopefully at least by poopy's birthday I can get close to my old weight.
i know.. im just wearing the few same boring stuff that i brought over here. clothes here are so small, even XL is small for me. XL here is like a 14.
    i miss my lovely clothes.

poor tahnie - hope she's in not a lot of pain.

glad that dh comes back soon, hope he doesnt have to go away for a while yet. how do the girls feel about their daddy being away so much?

well done, summy, i love mashed potatoes too! what did you put in them?
poopy's starting to notice us eatign now, but will wait for a bit yet.
    gotta go.
    so tired...

Trina - i want a high chir too... MJ's back and neck is strong enough for her to sit up and she loves watching us eat!

Am trying to hold off on the solids atm, but i think that she is going to take to it really well. Was thinking that i might sit her in a high chair at meal times and give her a spoon to play with for the net coue of months so she can practice.... and also keep up with the 'fingers' of pumpkin and apple, so that she gets the taste, but isnt actually eating anythig yet.
Our council runs an 'introducing solids' talk, i am booked in for August, so will probably start after that.. if i stick to the guidelines, i should introduce solids 3rd september, which is a day before my 30th!

Prama woo hoo on the weight loss, thats great and sorry to hear about the UTI - but good o you for catching it early.
Instead of buying liners, why dont you make them yourself? all you need is a pair of sissors... i bought a metre of fleece (its not as think as the liners that i bought , but does the job just the same) and cut it into strips the same size a liners that i prebought (they were navy too - i wonder if they were from the same person)and use them... much cheaper and the left overs i use a wipes for her bum... is there anywhere near you that you could buy the fleece... there are some really ute patterns too too bad they go on thje inside of the nappy

Bron - sorry that you are feeling so low.... ahhhhhh iron constipation poo... i know all about that, its bad when it s you, but even worse when you have to clean it up on someone else!!! Hopefully as your iron levels adjust, you start tp get a bit more of your energy levels up. Glad it was just (not saying it is a 'just' but it could have been much worse iykwim) low iron

Shell - great news on the walking - hahaha trina is right maybe you will be UTD sooner rather than later with all your exercise

Danni - if you get the uni job, you should look into salary packaging (a bonus with all gov jobs) means that you can get you rent taken out of your wage BEFORE tax, meaning that you end up paying slightly less tax... you can do it with all your bills too, basically you can package 100% of your wage and it goes to paying off rent and bills, then you can use Matts money for the extras... its is a great perk of a gov job

Up early this morning as MJ was awake at 5 for a feed and i couldnt sleep, mght head to the shops before she and DH wae up and do some bits - perfect opertunity i think... so long as i get off BB

    Hi all

I have been lurking and reading just too frustrating to post because they keep getting lost.

Paddy had his 4mth needles and besides the hysterics when he got the needles he seems to be coping with them much better this time. According to our scales he's 8kg and according to his clothes he can no longer be squeezed into even large 00, his legs are too long. His fingers are the most fascinating thing at the moment and it is so cute watching him try to work out how to use them.

All those girls using cloth, I bought some bargins on the buy 4 baby website. Got some Green kids that look brand new for less than half price!

On solids I won't be introducing them until he is over the 6 month mark. Paddy shows interest in watching our mouths and putting things in his mouth but I don't think he needs extra food. He's still fully BF and seems completely satisfied.

Good luck with the job Danni, hope your feeling better Bron, and Trina I'd up the life insurance and shoot your DH for being away so much

I have another interview tomorrow at a real estate firm. I've enrolled Jazz at a childcare centre on the days she's not at family day care. We are doing orientation on Friday and Monday and then I'll either start her next week or the week after at the other place 3 days a week at the moment until the family day care lady has more days available. I told her about it when I dropped Jazz off this morning.
I almost cried when I finished filling in the forms and handed them in today, but I'm doing what I need to do by working full time.

Jazz fell asleep at 7:15 last night instead of between 8-9:30 like normal. She woke again at 11:30pm and then slept until I think it was 4am, then we were both up for the day at 6:15am.

Bron - we leave Aug 16th, another 5.5weeks to go. STill missing Steve. Story of my life, if I'm here I miss my Oz life and Steve and when I'm back in Syd, I'm missing my family and life here.

Teach - you're too funny! If we were all close by, we could go help Trina out.

Danni - big hugs hun... hope you hear about that uni job soon. when is your interview.

SJ -LOL! No worries, haha. We all forget sometimes! I got navy cos I thought they wouldn't shwo stains as much. But now I know light coloured ones are better.

    just wanted to add:

Im getting tired of doing both BF and FF, it just takes so much time and work. Im exhausted.
the first feed is full BF, then BF+FF, then only FF, and the others are BF+FF. He's doing 4-5feeds a day. and just before bed, i give him a BF top up and he often falls a sleep.
I dunno when I'll stop BF, maybe when he has teeth and decides it's fun biting his Ma!
Even if I do go FF during the day, I'll still BF him, first thing and last thing at night.
Doing both takes so long as well.

Did I tell you my very public BF story.
We were in Singapore Changi airport, headign back to Kuala Lumpur. We got there about 2.45pm , our flight at 5.30pm. We asked if we could get on an earlier flight (there's a flight every hr or 2hrs). and the lady at check in said, yes, you're on the 3.30 flight and you hav to go to the gate now.
Poopy starts gettign grizzly. as we head towards immigration, he starts to cry and in the queue he's screaming his head off.
Everyone's looking at us, he's in the baby bjorn and i couldnt do anything. the immigration officer gave me a sympathetic smile..
before we could get to the gate, we had to get a tax refund on our digital camera. Spre lets you claim 7% tax back when you buy electronic goods there. so whole of changi airport now hears poopy screaming. Steve goes to the tax counter. we're so rush rush as we have to get to teh gate.
I had sit on the floor in the middle of the airport in a conservative country like Spore and get my boob out, with every passing person looking, eitehr smiling or embarrased and feed poopy!
Steve comes out, and poopy luckily has now fallen asleep. As we half run to the gate, we see it's closing.. i couldnt run as poopy's head would be bouncing. but finally made it before they shut the gate!
So! I'll never be embarrased breastfeeding in public again!!!!

    Hello girls,

I have been so busy lately so haven't been posting. Doni has been home the last few weeks as well so I suppose my night posting has decreased because of that. Had such a good day with DJ, walked to mothers group and he was so well behaved, hardly cried at all. Just had a good settled day with him. And then he grizzled a little this afternoon but that was only because he needed to do a massive poo which followed soon after his grizzling haha He is just giggling away at the moment on his playmat.... I love this age!!!! I have to get his needles done this week. I was supposed to do it last week but didn't get around to it and wanted to make sure Doni was around for it. I called my doctor and she is only holidays for a month..... So, I will work something out Might try and make the times for the community health centre.

Danni - sounds like interview went well, always good to meet them and at least they have met you and will keep you in mind when something comes up.

Prama - that was one of the reasons why I decided to just move to FF and since then I haven't looked back. DJ is still feeding 6 times over 24 hours, but just doesn't have the recommended amounts on tin. He will have 100-150ml every 3 hours. All depends.... I would love to get down to the recommended feeding times etc but he is just a hungry boy. Whatever decision you make will be the right one, so just go with your gut and well done on the highchair. I have to start looking into one.... Sounds like you bought a great one.... Saw one in K-mart for $40 so was thinking of that one....

Teach - thanks for the tip on nappies from that site. I will check it out.

Bron - yeah feeling great from all of the walking. I have already lost 4kg so it is working.... I want to try the rice cereal with DJ as well, and was told they gag a bit from it....

SJ - isn't it funny how we are all thinking of introducing solids. Time has flown so quickly. I remember when we were all discussing our labour pains and birth stories.

Trina - e-bay it happens to me as well, and I just get frustrated and give up.....grrrr

Well that is it from me for now..... Got to put DJ down for a mini-nap.

    Shell xxx
