Do you mean BF? I haven't BF or expressed since 6am on 5th August. My work day is almost finished and I'm not feeling sore at all. When I get home I might just see if there is anything in there. I haven't leaked, my breastpads don't feel full when I change them. I really think my BF days are over (Until the next bub in a few years).

Jazz is having approx 4 hourly FF during the day so our family day care lady tells me and I've read in her daycare books that during the day she often has 2 sleeps for 1-2 hours each now. I do wonder if I mess up her daily routine during the weekends. It's hard to know now coz I only spend 2 full days with her a week so she's kind of used to doing things a certain way at day care. I don't mind that, I just have to get to know her daytime routine. It's really helpful that the family day care lady writes a detailed journal about her day.

It is so detailed that it goes like this:
8:40 - drank 200ml of bottle in 10mins then played on floor until 9:30. 9:45 changed wet nappy & put vicks on, 10:00, did leg, arm & head exercises, 11:00 fell asleep in my arms - put her in cot, woke at 1:00...etc
so I get a really, really good idea of what happens in the day. I wish they had time to be that detailed at the daycare centre.

Prama - oh bugger on the food :( I just pureed some sweet potato and put in the freezer :) thought I would make a start ready for DJ. I go back to work on 2 Sept so yeah I won't be going to Ness' classes when I go back, but Ness said once the weather gets warmer she will start up another class so I might join in on that one, providing it is a Monday or Wednesday.


Heading over to my sis-in-laws place tonight, Doni away in Wagga so she invited me over for dinner. DJ will be in heaven - lots of cuddles from his aunty, uncle and cousins.

Well better get organised coz he will wake up soon.

i just tried to put him to sleep and he keeps waking up and wanting to play when he's in the cot. pick him up and he falls asleep in my arms but is bright eyed and bushy tailed as soon as i put him down.

Hi guys. How are we all?

I am in so much pain! Anth lost the car keys, so I had to walk the girls to dancing. Its only 3 or 4 blocks, but coz I've still got pelvic problems from having Jesse it hurts so much. I am seeing a physio soon & she told me not to do any exercise til I've seen her, but as hard as I try I just can't do nothing. Just doing the washing up & hanging a load of clothes on the line hurts. & I've still got the rest of the house to clean.

Hope all of you are well. I haven't heard from my husband in a few hours, he tried to call me around 6'ish and I was at his brothers place for dinner so missed the call and tried to call back but no answer, and still no answer..... hmmmm hope it is just a trade show that he is at.... He is travelling by car and I always worry when he is driving around the country. I won't be able to sleep until I hear from him.

Prama - I will be working Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. Oh no on the sleep routine for Poopy.... Hope he sleeps better for you.

Skye - hope your pelvic problems improve and you aren't in so much pain.

Just got the call from hubby all good..... he was busy with presentations to customers.... arghhhhh I told him I was worried. He has a trade show tomorrow night so at least I know I won't get much contact.

Glad he called Shell. My darn DH went over to my brothers at about 9.30 this morning to help him put up a fence & I still haven't seen him! I have spoken to him a few times though.

My pelvis is feeling ok for now, but in the morning when I wake up it'll be really burning pain, right in my pubic bone. Its always like that the day after I do too much. It's better than being pregnant though. I was crying in pain at the end of every day then. It started at 5 months & just got worse. I was waking up at 5 months just to roll over. Not fun.
If I do too much walking I waddle too. I don't know how noticeable it is to others, but I can tell the difference. Thats so sad. I never got the waddle with the girls.
The first time I get it & it doesn't go away. Do you know how wierd I feel waddling when I'm not preggers??

shell - so glad doni's ok! it's always a worry when they are on the road.

skey - you poor thing, go see a physio or chiro. you've been suffering for a while.

poopy's gone to bed, went to sleep really fast, so i expect he will wake up 2is or so! aarrrgh

Prama - I'm on a waiting list for the local physio. I was told not to do exercise til I see her, but thats impossible. I'm going as public coz its free to see her, but I have to wait about 3 weeks. I could go as private & pay, but Anthony isn't working atm.

Matt said yesterday that as soon as both he and Jazz are better he wants to drop one day at the child care centre and have her. For the fortnight it ended up costing us about $75 for 5 days at the child care centre and only $9.05 for 5 days at family day care...huge difference which is why he wants to drop down to one day at the centre.

I was telling my friends about how we are starting to teach Jazz to say mum and dad and one of my friends whose youngest daughter is 1 month older than Jazz said "sounds like you are in a hurry for her to grow up" I couldn't believe she said that. I said that I'm not in a hurry, I'm just following her lead and when she shows she's ready for something I'll start doing it whether it's earlier than "normal" or not.

Thanks girls, I always worry about Doni when he is on the road. I am pretty good today, DJ had a good sleep still teething and no sign of a tooth yet, but my mum said my brother went through the same thing for several months before his first tooth came through. I got some dribble bibs yesterday so hopefully I won't be going through as many bibs each day haha

Skye - the things our bodies go through from pregnancy..... My knees, ankles back, neck and shoulders are just stuffed..... Well my knees and ankles are more so and I have found it ever since DJ was born. arghhhhhh hurts so much and i feel like and old woman walking around the house.... Hope the physio can make you feel better so you aren't in so much pain in your pelvis.

Prama - sending Poopy some sleeping dust from DJ he is now back to waking at 5:30am which is great and then back to sleep and didn't wake up until 8:45am haha so I had a great sleep.

Danni - that is a huge difference indeed, wow!

I forgot to say. I BF'd this morning for the first time in 48 hours. I was feeling slightly uncomfortable, not much though. I don't think Jazz got very much though, she didn't seem satisfied.

I gave Jesse a bit of vegemite bread last night. He really liked it! Gagged a few times, but he loved it.

I think I might try on the weekend giving Jazz food at a different time of day than dinner time. She may respond better to it then.

danni - i think ur doing the right thing by teaching jazz words.. tehre's no limit when you can start teaching them things.. babies pick things up quick adn the sooner you do, the bigger their vocabulary is . they will understand thngs sooner.

shell - those sleep dusts really worked!!! poopy got up at 5ish had a feed till 6, then woke up at8.15! yaaayy.
im now grateful for even the 5am, even tho he doesnt sleep till 7. 5 is better than 2 am!!

Danni, by teahing her those words is not wanting her to grow up to quickly, you just are exposing her to words that she is going to learn at some stage anway, there is nothing wrong with it - i think that its great.
Also re the food, possibly Jazz is too tired at the end of the day for something new, i was also told by the heath nurse that you should only do new things for breakfast or lunch just in case there is a reation, you may miss it f she goes to bed iykwim

SJ: I have been thinking that re the time of day to try food. Problem is, I can only do that on weekends coz I'm at work all day Mon-Fri and I'd really rather that she isn't fed food at daycare until she is used to it. I'm her mum so I should be the one who introduces it, unfortunately that means much of the time it has to be done at night. Also, I just don't have time to give her food in the morning before daycare & work.

Matt had to take Jazz to have chest x-rays this afternoon in relation to her cough. They go back to the doctor at 11am tomorrow to get the results. Doctor isn't 100% sure what is wrong but he suspects either both Matt & Jazz have pnemonia or whooping cough. If it's whooping cough then it's too late to treat Matt but Jazz might still be able to undergo treatment. Now I'm a bit worried coz I'm showing the same early symptoms as they had.

Oh Danni - :crossfingers: hope that its not too serious.
Has Matt never be vaccinated against whooping cough?

At last something goes my way. Today I won a car seat for grandmas car on ebay for $86 got a 2 year old safe and sound car seat. And tax cheque came back and I had over estimated our income so gov gave me back $1240 in ftb on top of tax return woo hoo I can now afford ot get my hair cut *LOL* sad huh

Jazz goes back to the doctor tomorrow. Matt had a swab test done from the back of his mouth and will get the test results early next week I think. Now I have a persistant cough and similar symptoms to what Matt & Jazz have. I went to the doctor today, she told me to stay away from anyone with a cough. I said I can't do that because my husband and 5 month old daughter have bad coughs.

bron - wow.. hooray!!!

Second appointment with the Osteo today, hard to tel if there has been much difference so far. She said that the first 24hrs she may be quite grumpy, but she had a streaming cold, sonot sure if it was the cold or the appoint that made her a bit more niggley, not too bad though.

She has been stretching her sleep out to 4 or 5am again which is nice as i get a longer chunck of sleep.

Went to CMHN appoint on Wednesday, she is 66.2cm long (almost at 90th %ile!) and just under 7kg which is above 50th %ile - so really happy about that.
Going to the starting solids talk next friday and they cover baby led solids so i am going to hold off til then.
She is sooooooo ready for it thou

Bron - so glad you got that Bonus, enjoy your hair cut - i went for one yesterday, took MJ with me as there was no way i was going to get any time alone (DH working 12-18hr days again this week and has to work Sat), she was good, had to hold her when i was having the cut, but she played and slept during the colour. DH still hasnt noticed :rolleyes: Woohoo for the car seat - we need to get one for my mum too.

Danni - i know what you mean about you want to be the one introducing things. I hope this doesnt sound to harsh, but you need to have consistency for little Jazz, otherwise she will not get it. Unfortunately as you have had to return to work it will mean that you will have to miss out on some new things with her. If you start solids on the weekend, you need to continue it at the same time, this will mean passing it over to the people at FDC etc, for them to continue. It is awful i know, and i know that you want to be as involved as you can, but these are the sacrifices that we make. At least you can prepare the food so that Jazz is having food that Mummy lovingly made for her. Sorry of that sounds harsh

SJ, it doesn't sound harsh at all. I know exactly what you mean and hard as it is to admit, it is exactly like that. TBH, I would prefer the FDC lady to be giving her food if it's during the day rather than the centre though but I do have to get some consistancy.

Well, Matt's got Jazz all morning coz they've got their doctors appointment at 11am and then he has to take her to day care in the afternoon coz he's got a job to do. He's started getting some work for his business which is nice. A little extra pocket money.

Well, I'm off. I have training for most of the day.

Jesse has decided lately that if I'm holding him, he wants the boob inhis mouth. Even if he's not drinking from it. At least for the first few minutes anyway.
He's using his hands with alot more confidence now. Grabbing everything, including my watch, which he never really worried about before.
And chewing! On his sleeves, blankets or jumper. He loves to chew on any of those. As long as its material of some sort. He's trying to get my shirt in his mouth now!
He's rolling with alot more confidence now. Instead of going onto his side & just thinking thats far enough, If I can't reach from here I don't need it, he's thinking more if I can see it, I'm gonna get it! & he rolls & tries to move himself closer by lifting his bum & pushing himself forward.

He's looking for the boob again. I only took him off it 5 minutes ago. He's still happy, but he throws his head back facing me when he wants a drink. I think its cute!

Anyone sitting up alone yet?? Jesse can do it for a minute or 2, the leans a bit. Sometimes he will catch himself & sit up a bit again. He's getting there. Both my girls were sitting by now.

Oh & he plays peek-a-boo! He'll hold the blanket over his head & pull it down waiting for us to say peek-a-boo! Its so funny!!

Hows Summer going Trina? Is everything Ok? You haven't been around much lately.

Jazz grabs well. Her hand/eye coordination is getting good. Sometimes she snatches the bottle out of my hand and shoves the teat in her mouth and starts drinking. Chewing a lot too. She often prefers to chew her dummy instead of sucking it.

Found out she has bronchielitus so it's viral - no treatment. Just have to let it run its course and if she has any trouble breathing then we have to take her to the hospital.

Danni, Broncolitis is no fun, but much better than the other 2 possibilities.
Poor Jazz, hope she feels better soon and you dont have to take a trip to the hossy.

Skye, M will suck on anything too - yesterday she was sucking the haordressing wrap, i really didnt like that, most other things i just let her go for.
She is grabbing well as well, sometimes too well, when i pick her up, sometimes she grabs and pinches my neck ouch.

She loves it when i try and eat her and make growling noiss, she laughs and squeals :)

Another appont at the osteo next week and that should be it, she is really good and apparently her hips are improving which is great. Did i mntion that i was seeing d=someone at the bellybelly centre?

Yep WIll is sitting up a bit too we prop him up with pillows and he usualy falls forward before bacward. He is rooling all over th eplace and I Have had to put a sheet on the floor becasue of the dribble trails all over the carpet.I am looking for a good sized wooden play pen so I dont have to worry about leaving him on the floor. He had some apples mixed with farex after his morning bottle today after having just some apple yesterday. It makes him fart like a trooper and for now am only giving him a taster of solids in the mornings he is also sucking on a rusk I hold it out and say ta and he takes it from my hand and sux on it.I've really been watching for reactions to things and so far he has been good I dont want to overload him his grandpa wanted to give him mashed up baked dinner the other night and I had afit *L*at least want to have only 2 ingredients that I know exactly what he is having as I have seen some terribel reactions at work in kids to certain foods.Am in no great hurry atm as he is a bit off his feeds with the teething thing in full swing. Poor baby has missed both his sleeps in full today as the cement trucks were here again today and the builders have been so noisy.
He has a fascination with books and magazines and really loves catalouges. Today I taped the target catalogue on his roacker and he talked and tlked at it and shook in excetment it was hilarious. Am goint to video it to send to his other grandma who loves books

The leg where I had my clot in after having Will has really flared up and the red line is now about 40cm along around my thigh and red hot. Trouble is the huge dose of antibiotics plays havoc with my system...moan moan moan sorry

Am looking fwd to watching Olympic games opening tonight with a nice glass of wine an dpizza for tea. Hop eyou all have agood weekend

SJ - Lol - Jesse does that. I put my face close to him & he gets excited & grabs my cheeks, or whatever he can get with his nails & pinches!
He had the strap thing on his rocker in his mouth yesterday. Seeing him with the trolley strap in there today made me feel sick though. God only knows what germs are crawling on them. *shiver*

Bron - Thats a good idea! the mag on the rocker thing. When Jesse gets excited he kicks. He does it so hard on the ground I'm surprised it doesn't hurt!

Bron i love the idea of the pages on the rocker - MJ would love this, she loves looking at the 'junk mail' for bargains with me (much to DH disgust ;))

MJ wil balance herself on my lay or on the floor, but usually wil fall forward as she attempts to grab something.
She is do like stomach cruches, she would love to sit up, but still a way away from that yet (phew) im in no hurry for her to be more mobile:)

Skye, i think that sitting up for feeding is more that they can start to balance, not have to sit unsupported.

Mum and I went and picke dup the car seat I won on ebay today..it was immacualte she had the instruction book too. Apprently she used to take it out of the car each week and vacum it febreeze it and disinfect it ( cant say I will be dong that *L*) but its in great nick a real bargain. I also one a brand new highchair for $75 so am well happy I think WIll is going ot be much happier sitting up at the tabel with us for tea than is his rocker he likes ot be a aprt of it all. I still cant beleive I am buying him a high chair where has my baby gone???????
I printed off some photos of allthe rellies yesterday and am going to laminate them to hang on Wills locker I figure if he loves the catalogue so much he might as well see people he knows.
HOpe you are all having agood weekend we drove through sleet and had the heater on to putting the air con on becasue it got so hot crazy stuff.

Bron - My MIL ended up with a dvt after having her tubes done & she is on warfin(sp?)
Her clot went from her hip to her knee. She used to have bloods done once a week, but now its about once a fortnight.
It's nearly 2 years later though & she's still on the meds. Her bloods are still going up & down occasionally too. More when she is stressed.
I've seen her go through it all & I really hope yours gets better soon.

Thanks Skye I Hope so to becasue I am an odd ball and have a clotting disorder so giving me clexane goes against everythign I am supposed to with my immune disease great huh. I do know that all the clots were superficial at that stage so sure hope I dont have a dvt

Well, I haven't BF since I last told you which was 6am on 7/8/08, it's now been more than 48 hours and I don't feel any pain or discomfort at all! If I squeeze really hard then after a few attempts I might get a couple of drops out of one boob but I haven't gotten anything out of the other boob. I'm attempting to sleep without wearing any breast pads tonight. I'll still wear a bra but I'm hoping to stop that soon too. I'm sick of sleeping in a bra!

Jazz was so good today. We went out for a few hours to the city and she fell asleep in the car and then slept for the couple of hours that we were out and then just sat quietly in the car on the way home. She's been making lots of loud happy noises all day which is so cute. Her cough is getting better. She doesn't have severe coughing fits now. Still a few minor coughing fits but they don't seem to be bothering her as much. Also, apart from one time when I got up to put the dummy in her mouth, she slept from 7:45pm until about 7:30 this morning!

Yay, no boobie leakage!

Jazz just had some pumpkin & sweet corn. I gave her a bit, then she wanted more, then more and ended up havin half the can in one sitting! I've put the rest in a couple of containers for her to have at day care tomorrow. I've decided I'll let the FDC lady give her some food.
I borrowed a walker from a friend, jazz's feet don't touch the ground but she is sitting in it having the time of her life at the moment making all sorts of happy noises. She's also been trying to blow raspberries.

Has anyone heard of lazy patch? It's a suit for adults made out of a doona...I ordered one a couple of weeks ago and it arrived today so I'm wearing it looking rather snug and warm. Soooo happy!

Jazz has started sucking on her bottom lip all the time now.

sorry I haven't been online, we lost internet connection the other day from the storm.... anyway back online.

We did the City to Surf today and they gave DJ a medal and he took his first bus trip too :) He was laughing so much today and everyone in the bus was smitten by him and we stopped in to see some friends and they absolutely loved him. Doni is going to take a photo of DJ with Doni's C2S bib on and the medal around his neck. It isn't the first time he has done C2S I did it last year 7 weeks pregnant.

I will do some personals tomorrow just too tired tonight. DJ is going really well though, still teething and no teeth yet..... He isn't sitting up by himself yet either, I always hold him up with my legs behind him. He does push himself up to sit up though, so he is getting the momentum.
