Well, my sister is leaving on Sunday. I'm glad it's on a weekend so I can see her and the family off. I'm going to miss them terribly but she'll be getting the internet ASAP so we can email each other. Right, time to start saving for a holiday to go and visit!
I'm getting 2 carseats from my sis (one for our other car and one that I'm giving my friend so she has one when she babysits Jazz). I'm also getting a bath seat, I've got a reclining one but now Jazz really wants to sit up and she's just about ready to as well. Also my sis is giving us her siamese fighting fish (now we'll have 2). So I'm gonna get another nice fish bowl for it and it can go on the bottom shelf below our other fish. We have to keep them in a glass cupboard so the cat doesn't get to them.

Blooming child care centre said we have to give 2 weeks notice to cancel Friday's. Both Matt & I were really hoping to start her at home with him as of this Friday, but we have to wait 2 weeks.

Danni - You can just keep her home anyway. You'll still have to pay for the next 2 Fridays though.

Jesse had some fish, chips & carrot for dinner tonight, then got some icecream. He loved it!
We got a bed yesterday!!! No more mattress on the floor! Its so good.
Should have my new baby monitor soon too, so I can finally take the porta cot out of my room once & for all. Been keeping it in there for the nights when I'm worried I'm too tired to wake up to him.

Going to the doc tomorrow. I've got like AF pain, but its like a dull pain that comes & goes. Then I've got pain in my lower back all across & on the right side. I think its too far over to be my kidneys & I don't have any other symptoms of a kidney/urine infection. The AF pain is wierd too.
It all started Friday afternoon & hasn't gone away. Panadol & nurofen help, but it takes about an hour to kick in & doesn't seem to last very long.
Anyway. Will let you know how I go.

My brother & SIL are going this weekend too
I've gotten to know my next door neighbour the last couple of weeks though & she's lived here her whole life, so I'm starting to get to know more people here.

Anyways. Need a shower to try to relieve this back pain before I go to bed.
    Night all.

Danni - thats great news on all the stuff that you are getting if the fish go in together do thet fight til one is dead? Thats a bugger about the CC, i would just keep her home, even if you do have to pay, she will be much better of with her Daddy

Skye thats so exciting about the bed... when we moved into this place, we had a mattress on the floor, the base was so terrible that it hurt my back, took us nearly 9 mths to get a new one, but it was worth the wait.
Thats weird pain, have you done anything that could have strained your back and its nerve pain?
Is the pain in your rights side of the front too, the AF like pain? Your liver is there... has your wee turned a dark colour lately? The other thing is that it may be refered pain from all the stress that you are under at the moment... you have had a hard time lately , and thats got to take a toll. I hope that you are OK and that you managed a good night sleep Sorry about your bro moving too

    Trina - how are you?
Bron - any news on the meds? how are you feeling??
Shell - glad that you are coping with the work - i wonder if Doni took the hint re the way you are meant to be treated on M/F day???

Well Saturday night i had my first night out drinking as i had expessed loads of milk and Mum and Dad had MJ... she was an angel fed really well and went off to bed in the potacot really well too. DSS was with them and he had a ball ... and i got stuck into the red.
At start i wasrealy good 2 glasses of red and then a massive glass of water then a red and another water and then i gorgot. I think i only had 2 more glasses (spead from 6pm - 11pm) so not oads, but there was bugger all food at the wedding so it took a toll.
In the cab on the way hom i needed to be sick twice... when i got home i was again. we woke up MJ when we got in so i had to heat up some milk for her... i expressed off the milk thta i had in me so that it wouldnt be alcoholic for her, also to relieve the pressure.
Mum rocked her back to sleep - she wouldnt settle for me, i think she new somethig was going on... anyway she sept until 5am and then work up crying, i was going to pick her up, but had to get DH to do it as i was going to be sick agian when i got back to bed MJ and DH were snuggled in the bed together it was so cute.
Felt pretty average the next morning, but more tired than aanything else.
We had breakfast with my Dad, DSS and MJ gave their dad their home made cards and pressie, then we headed home for a quick change then off to the other side of the city for DH's dads get together... in la porchetta so we had a good meal, MJ chewed the crust of the pizza and was cute to everyone, DSS played with his cousins and i sat and chatted for hours to SIL... it was a good day, but by the time we got home we were buggered... we had dip and chips for dinner and a banana smoothy and both DH and I crashed out on the couch.
TBH drinking is not all that its cracked up to be, i am quite happy to contnue BF and forgo that - better for me too

have a good day girls, sorry for the novel
OH and happy 1/2 birthday for Jazz and Jesse, sorry i missed it

Yes, if we put the fish in together they will fight to the death. Also if we keep their bowls too close together they might bash themselves against the glass so we'll be keeping them far away from eachother.

We wont keep her home for those 2 friday's. The CC is expensive so I want to get my moneies worth.

Jazz gave me quite a fright at 4am. She was coughing heaps so I thought I'd better go in and check on her. I went into her room to find that she'd pulled the blanket over her head and was struggling to breathe which woke her up. She's fine now but man did it scare the crap out of me!

Lol - Danni, my sister had one of those fish & it committed suicide! (Thats how she put it)
She went to work one day & came home to her fish laying on the table about a foot away from his bowl!

SJ, yeah the pain is at the front too, but at the back its constant, at the front it comes & goes. No my wee hasn't changed colour. No darker than usual. The tops of my legs ache too, the same as if I had AF.

    Hey girls,

Just a quick one, sooooo exhausted...... worked today and it was great to get a break.... DJ is not sleeping well. From 2am sometimes or 3am he is just whinging for rest of morning..... arghhhh I normally just give him a feed and he only takes 80ml, so this morning I thought I would just try putting his dummy in his mouth but 30 mins later he woke again, then I tried Infants Friend which normally helps but it worked for 30 mins again and then Doni got up and fed him for me and he took 100ml and went back to sleep only to wake up 40 mins later hungry so I fed him the rest of the bottle since it was under an hour. But I was just so exhausted at work..... I had such a busy day as well.... and then to top off my morning I pulled up to my stepmums place and she didn't know she was looking after DJ today and thought my mum was..... but my mum works full time and she just happened to have last week Tuesday off from work. Then it took me 40 mins to get from there to work. Now I am thinking I will just put him in childcare close to work so it is on my way to work and not out of my way. It will just save me time and I won't have to pack the bouncer, portacot etc... arghhhh i am just exhausted. Havign a glass of red wine, headache.....

I thought DJ's sleep problems might be from teething but there is just no sign of teeth coming through, he has been teething for 2.5 months now but no redness in gums etc. Just the usual drooling. red cheeks etc.....

Sorry I can't post much more.

Prama - it was great to catch-up yesterday - Poopy is soooo adorable just like his pics Will have to catch-up again in a few weeks time.

Doc thinks its a kidney infection. I was expecting a pg test, but he didn't think it necessary. I like that idea.
I did do a urine test & there was blood & white cells in it.
Going for u/s tomorrow to check for kidney stones.

    LOL Prama.

I found out that CC gives baby yoghert for morning tea. I asked them not to because I want to be the first to give Jazz a product with cows milk in it. I had brought with me a tin of apples and custard, then I read the ingredients and saw it had full cream milk, so I told them not to give that to her either. So, she is going without morning tea because I'm too picky. She'll probably eat heaps of lunch though.
I got Matt to get some bananas last night. I'm gonna try giving Jazz a whole piece to hold/moosh and hopefully eat.
Did I tell you we gave her a couple of hot chips (that we obviously cooled down). She bit a piece off one chip and chewed and chewed and then swallowed and pulled a funny face but then laughed once it went down. The second chip she sucked all the potato out of. I find at the moment when we give her something like a rusk or other finger food, we sometimes have to actually push her hand with the food into her mouth so she gets the message that she's allowed to put it in her mouth. Poor kid is probably getting confused coz we are also trying to teach her that fingers don't go in the mouth.

The finger thing is a hard one danni as its developmentally approriate for jazz to put her hands in her mouth its how she learns about everything and she will put everything including her food in her mouth providing she isnt going to choke its ok. Funny you know bannana is one food that Will hates and yet its one of the fruits they suggest you try first becasue it mushes up so well. This week we have moved onto pasta, chicken gravy and zuchini. WIll loves the babys first yoghurt with a little farex mixed in as he doesnt like runny food he really likes to have a chew...
I am STILL waiting on drugs..they have reduced my steroids and each time they do the count halves itself and I am back down to under 100. Keep you fingers crossed for me that it happens this week.

I know the fingers in mouth is developmentally good but I do try and stop it when she is just sucking on her fingers/thumb. I don't want her to develop the habit. Although, I do put a dummy in her mouth - I know that one day that will be a habit I'll have to break but hopefully she wont be used to substituting the dummy for fingers then. I don't want to break the habit of the dummy only to find she sucks her thumb in its place. I know someone who as a child sucked her finger until she had been in school for a few years, I think she was 7 or 8 before she stopped completely. I don't want Jazz to be like that.

BTW: the army changed things again with my sis & BIL and now they aren't going until next Thurs. They are annoyed coz the army keeps stuffing things up and delaying things.

No offence Danni, but i think that it is worse for a baby to be reliant on a dummy that their own fingers.
Children often grow out of sucking fingers on their own and it is unusual that they would carry on that late... often parents find that in removing the dummy the baby will suck something else (like fingers)
MJ sucks her fingers or thumb to sleep, she learnt to self settle this way and there is no need for me to get out of bed to resettle as she knows how to do it herself.
Dummys are also bad for teeth - fingers go in mouths less when teeth arrive as they hurt, where as children can chew and chew dummys...
DSS had a dummy and i vowed never to use on with MJ
    Each to their own thou

Off the see the CMHN for a weigh and measure... looking forward to seeing her progress... bbl

Oh Skye. I read your post and don't know what to say. I'm thinking of you though.

Jazz got accidentally hit in the eye by one of the other children at the CC who wanted to give her a hug but missed. I don't know if it's gonna come up bruised at all but it's a slight black (well, red) eye and a scratch on her cheek bone too. When I walked in the door and Matt saw Jazz's eye he said right that's it. We're taking her out of the CC altogether! So he's now going to have her on Wednesdays & Fridays and I'm going to give them notice in writing when I go in on Friday to drop her off. He was so upset by her eye he started saying "I'm not paying them anything (we owe them about $200 now) and then he's like "I'm gonna sue them" so I just said "if you wanna deal with all that then you ring them and tell them. Kids are kids and accidents happen all the time" They did give the kid a time out. They didn't do an incident report though (or if they did, I haven't seen it). I wonder if they are meant to? I will have to ask.

Danni - i am pretty sure that they should do an incident report and have you sign it to day that you have been informed... You are right kids will get hurt, but when they are still so young it hard to swallow.
Poor Jazz, i hope she doesnt bruise

Skye - off to read your post now...... I have posted in the thread but just wanting you to know again that you are doing a fantastic job

Prama - sorry that you are not doing so good atm... is your lupus playing up and making you down or the PND affecting the lumpus.. or neither, both have just decided to make you feel crappy.
Im sorry, adapting back to life at home with no family around for you must be so hard (even though there is no one to critisise you now) and you are doing it by yoursef again.
I hope that you are starting to sort things out, please take care of yourself.. know i cant say anything to help really, but im here for you if you need me and i think that you are wonderful.

Bron - im thinking f you heaps and hoping that the powers that be get off their preverbal ar$es and get you the meds before your count drops any further... really whats the hold up? do you need to be hospitalised before they do something, oh it makes me mad... Im sorry you must be feeling awful at the moment. sending you good vibes and health

Trina - You OK? How are the girls doing?

Shell - you must be buggered working and doing all that driving... how annoying lugging all the equioment around to different houses

No real news from me, been out for dinner with the girls from work

Hugs to you all, sounds like they are needed all round
