I haven't been far, just stopped work on the 19th and didn't get on much at all over Xmas, then we went away for a little while. Beautiful holiday and facing the reality of work, home, etc now!
Kaz - what a terrible thing to happen over Xmas. And to lose a baby you wanted, no matter what the circumstances is heartbreaking. Sorry to hear Xmas was stressful for you, sounds like a quiet one next year might be a plan. We only had the three of us for Xmas lunch, MIL came around for a little while in the morning to play with Lucy and give her a present, but all-in-all it was very quiet and pleasant! Nice change for us too...
Kas - I'm on facebook too. PM me your details, or find me under the BB group. I'll go look for you now Kaz.
Liz - glad to hear TT has gone well. Lucy is very good now and won't let us take her. She firmly shuts the door when she goes in so I just keep a watchful ear out to see if she needs help after she's done... Miss Independent! She even managed to hold on during our loooong trip home when she needed to do a #2 for about half an hour when there were no toilets. We have tried nap and night times and she can make it through the night without too much of a problem, but nap times are a bit hit and miss.
I only have two wisdom teeth where there is room for them, so at least no dramas there. It's all healed really well and I'm looking forward to April when I can have the whole thing completed! I can't believe Kayla is already one, where has the time gone??
Other than our great holiday in Coffs Harbour, we haven't done anything particularly exciting. We've had a talk about another baby and both agree that next year might be the time to TTC#2.
And Kaz, isn't it odd the way things work, but since I've been pushing and pushing for DP to ring his brother and make up after he got engaged (semi-successfully, DP agreed he wanted to do it, but didn't get 'around' to it ) we found out after Xmas from FIL that his brother's fiancee is pg! It's a big secret as they're only 6 wks now. So DP finally rang his brother to congratulate him and is now going to have them over to catch up. They'll both ignore whatever issues they've had that have meant they haven't spoken for 2 1/2 years (with each other anyway) and I'm sure it isn't going to be smooth sailing, but at least it's a start. I told him about your BIL and that did have an effect on him. Baby is due in August and they're planning on getting married in April or May (I think). We aren't sure whether MIL knows but I'm really hoping that DP and his brother get along well enough to stop her getting in between them. She's going to be unbearable and I'm sure it'll bring back memories of what she was like when we were pg. Argh! I'll try not to think about it. I'm encouraging him to put his relationship with his brother out of bounds to his Mum. This is where all the problems started in the first place.
Still, I'm really excited that Lucy is going to have her very first cousin!!!
My cousin also gave birth to a baby girl Olivia Rose on 31 Dec. They have a DD just a few months older than Lucy, so it's another girl for Lucy to play with when we visit all the relatives in Vic!
Hope everyone is well. I'm lined up for a few busy months at work, but will pop in as often as I can.
