Im not sure what is going on here but i have lost a post so i will try again.
Sass - i still wrap hamish so no trouble with cot yet. Bummer on sleeping all night as a once off, we have had 3 weeks of all nights now with the exception of our trip away but i still am aware it can change at any moment. I am going back to work full time in december, but i dont want to, hopeing dp gets a promotion so i wont have to go back until early next year.
Jess - i felt awful as i know how much dp wanted to spend time with his brother but i couldnt stay there any longer, when i got up in the morning and came down stairs i found dp sweeping the floor, trying to tidy up before ds got up. The thing that annoyed me about it was apparently dp's brother was away with work for the week and only arrived home 5 minutes before us so dp's sil was suppose to clean up before we arrived, but when we got there she was in bed 7pm. Go figure...
NaNa - i packed so much i dont know how you will fit everything in to go overseas. we didnt end up using the pram as it was easier with the carrier (for dp) my back is buggered so i cant hold him in it for long.Hamish didnt like the porta cot at all, although it was his first time in it so maybe he wasnt use to it. ikwym with nosey people looking at bubs, we get it all time especially living in a smallish town and dp working at local paper, and hamish being in paper they seem to think they know you so they can interrupt you at anytime for a poke. I would hate to be famous i dont know how they cope, its as if they have never seen a baby before.
Bec - i am the same, the house is extra clean when i know i am having vistors. Glad camerons needles went well, lol at the wet shirt. Hamish is also trying to grab his feet, he like to watch my feet also, weird.
beckstar - i hear you on the eating thing, i would like to lose weight before summer but just eat everything in site atm.
Mecil - glad to hear zali is going well, you will be busy with building its an exciting time but also very frustrating.
Mis tree - i hope things are ok with you and Seth's hip problem is being sorted out. And i hope your ex isnt giving you too much grief.
Deancey - where are you???? hope everything is going well..
Hi to anyone i have missed.
We had needles today and hamish seems to be ok, he didnt even budge for the first one and cried for about 20 seconds when had the second one so not too bad. There was only one nurse there today so had to have the seperately but he coped fine, dp came along so he held him for me as i am a sook. He weighs 6.8kg (14'15) and 61cm in length. He is 7 cm shorter than dd was at his age. He put on 600g in 4 weeks whih doesnt seem like much too me but she said it was fine, he is in 50 percentile for his weight. I have to stop comparing him to dd as she was always in 90 percentile or more and is 5ft 7 already and only 12. My exh was not tall and i am only 5ft 4 so im not sure where she gets it from, my mum jokes and says its from the hormones in chicken as she loves chicken. Hopefully hamish stays settled and has no reaction to needles as dp wants to go out for dinner tonight, dd is away at friends for holidays and returns friday. I think i have blabbed enough for the day so i will be off now....
Sass- Wasnt it a while a go that you said you wanted more time with Jayda??? It must be tough opn you working 4 days. dont know how you are all doing it. I am trying to make the decision to go back to work at all. DP doesnt want me to. I dont want to give it up then few months later regret it. I hate the whole interview thing.
Also about the cot... I brought one of the special breathable bumpers. 1.. so she cant see out, and 2 cos my Ds once got his fat leg stuck while trying to stand up. took us ages to get his leg out.
Abb- thats aweful that your SIL didnt clean and your DP had to do it... Glad the needles went well. YAY on the weight gain... All babies go throu a slow weight gain period. I;m sure things are fine.
Well we had a great night last night, i was expecting the worst with the needles. Hamish had a screaming session for about an hour or so then did a really gross runny poo(tmi), which the mchn warned me can happen with the syrup (rot). After that he was back to his happy little self again. Slept from 8.30 to 6.30 and has been back in bed from 7.30 still asleep now. I am starting my diet today, so sick of being lazy and i eat so much its just not funny anymore. Need to shed some kilos before summer, i am feeling very uncomfortable at the moment so i know i need to get it happening. Hopefully i can do it on my own, but if not i will look into a program. Ok i best go do some housework before Hamish wakes. Have a nice day everyone.
Jess: yes i did want to take more time off not long ago. but with dh's op and teeth and the loan we already have we r struggling really bad. it makes it really hard because DH gets paid monthly. the only reason y i wanted more time off was cause of the long days i do. next yr once the twins go i will be doing 830 to 430 and not letting anyone talk me into anything dif.
it is so hard i need to go back but i dont want to. i am sick of borrowing money off people i absolutly hate asking so thats how bad it is for us at the moment. but yet DH's family think we r loaded.
well even after jayda gettin up 3 times last night i still had a great morning this morning. i got on the scales and so far i have lost 14kgs in 7weeks wooo hooo. if i keep going the way i am i will def be finished by xmas.
yesterday i forgot to take jayda food downstairs so i didnt worry abotu her solids yesterday and then she had 3 extra bottles yesterday. today i gave her some about 30min ago and she scoffed it down so fast. so many i think she is def ready and i will keep her on them.
It still seems like there are problems with this site still (or maybe its my computer, or a combination of both). Cameron will probably wake any moment, so I won't do personals at the moment.
Had a strange couple of days. Yesterday we were woken to Cameron crying at 3.30am. It took me a moment to adjust, as he hasn't done that in about 8 weeks. He seemed to settle, but started crying again after 10mins. Both DH and I went into his room, and to our surprise Cameron legs and arms were dangling out the side of the cot (between the bars). He has done this before, but he is usually only dangling his legs out, like he's turned 90 degrees, but this time he was still long ways, with the arms out to (IYKWIM). He just looked strange. But it wasn't until DH picked Cameron up, that we realised that he was also on his tummy! We turned him around, rewrapped him (as he always unravels himself anyway) and Cameron smiled and went back off to sleep til about 6.30am.
So I guess has now worked out how to roll onto his tummy, shall mark it in his record book. I could see it coming, as he quite often gets on his sides, but he obviously pushed himself too far this time. I wonder how long he might have been like that, as he is getting use to tummy time. Occassionally I've put him down to sleep during the day on his tummy, as he sleeps for longer this way. Only do it during the day though, so I can keep an eye on him.
Then this morning he woke at 5am, just as DH left for work. I went in, he had a very wet nappy, I changed him and rewrapped him and once again went off to sleep til 7am. It has been a strange few days, I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
Because Cameron had kinda tangled himself in the rails and it gave me a bit of a fright, yesterday I went and bought one of those venting airwraps for his cot. This morning (at 7am) he was kicking his feet again the side again (turned 90 degrees again), so probably could have had the same problem if I hadn't bought it.
Well better go see what other housework I can do, Camerons still sleeping, usually only sleeps for an hour during the day, so far we are at 1 1/2 hours (I got him on his tummy).
Not sure if i mentioned i brought a JJ. DD loves it but likes it when she cant reach the ground and it kinda swings... She laughs and yells out... licks her legs and makes it bounce. i have been trying not top pick her up but its so hard when DP is sleeping. will start her in the cot shortly as the basinette is getting too small... i just hate letting go. Might try putting the basinette in there tonight and then later on next week remove the basinette. fingers crossed things work out. her room is right next to ours so i dont think i'll need a monitor. (need to buy one but not sure if it'll get used being so close to us)
Went for a walk yesterday and got 15 mons away when DS fell over and hurt his knees and hands. Of couse he wanted to go home so my walk ended very quickly.
Sass- thats an awesome weight loss... for got to ask if its just diet or are you working out also. a friend of mine got one of those vibration fitness thingys. Working really well. Thinking of tryong one. (she's alot thinner so mainly just tonning up... but they say its great for weight loss also??
I also know whats its like borrowing momey... I just finnished paying off my MIL. (borrowed money for deposit.)
Bec- its not just ur puter... the site is having issues. i got DD to sleep too so off to hang out more washing.

I'd actually went to post the above at 12.45 today, luckily I'd copied it as it doesn't seem to have posted (even though when I submitted the reply twice, it told me it was being duplicated, can't even see 1 post let alone 2), I'd saved it somewhere else when I couldn't see it.
Had to wait til I put Cameron back to bed, as been busy playing, talking, crying then feeding. He seems to be crying and screaming just before I feed him at lunchtime - this is after a good sleep (close to 2hours sleep), a little awake time (bout 10 - 20 mins is the usual routine). He is ok until I lay him to feed, I then sit him up, talk to him and bounce him on my knee then he is ok, so I try to feed him again, he starts to cry (tears and all). He's done this for the last couple of weeks, usually at the 3rd and 4th feed, never any problems though at the 1st or 2nd feed of the day. Usually it only lasts 20mins, but today it took 1hour to get to feed him. Occassionally I've got him an express bottle (didn't today, as only have frozen expressed milk left which would take to long to prepare), which he usually takes without fuss, but I think that's because I put him in his cot while I get it ready and he is crying - possibly wearing himself out. Eventually after he has fed he is fine, happy - smiling, talking and wanting to play. Any ideas to try or what are your routines for the day?
Also when he was crying it gave me a good chance to see in his mouth, as I have a feeling he may be teething, mainly the rosy cheeks, little extra drool (not overly to much though) and seems to gnaw on his fingers (and mine when he gets hold of it). I thought I could see a little white dot on his bottom gum. I'll check it again tonight and get DH to see what he thinks. Maybe this is why he is more unsettled in the afternoon? Could the aching of the teeth happen at certain part of the day? Which in our case seems to be almost every afternoon (particularly lunchtime).
Whoops! Apparently my original post earlier had posted afterall. I swear it wasn't there when I had logged on, even after a few refreshes. It's even taken me a few attempts to reply with this, is it me or is everyone still having problems? Sorry about the duplication (kinda - I did add a little extra to the last post though), and I hope this doesn't duplicate to.
Bec- sorry i didnt reply personally to you... didnt have to double post... HAHA
i just love the air wraps... love bumpers but i know there not safe. This way bubs is protected from getting stuck out the sides and also i think they just look so cute.
Teething i guess could happen at parts of the day.. i know when my teeth hurt its not all day but not sure bout it being every day same time... Could just be the arsenic hour.
Things seem to be back to normal on here. I joined AO the other day... itss actually nice to see others having issues with there bedroom issues just like us.
I found DD has been whingeing from tummy aches... I probably mentioned before that she can go 1-2 weeks without a poop... well i've starting again on the infnts friend and she's back to 1-3 days and today she has been a bit better... Must have been all buiilding up and so uncomfy for her... i'm thinking maybe trying the osteopath (spl) to see if they can sort something out.
where to u get the air wrap things for the cot from. how much r they? i guess they r mainly to stop them gettin their arms and legs stuck not padding for hitting head.
