Naomi - Sounds like your paed was spot on with suggesting Bailey could do with starting solids - great he is liking it and improving his sleeps. I had a friend over yesterday and her DD is 6 months and has been on solids for a while and she finds that whenever she introduces a new food it upsets her sleeping for a day or so (she was doing 12 hours but with the new foods back to a couple of wakings a night for a couple of nights) - so don't know how many foods you have tried with Bailey but just to say if you do try a new one and he goes back to waking up don't worry will prob only last a day or so. All bubs are different though so Bailey may have no issues with new foods at all.
Bella - Thanks for the info about the hugabub type wraps, I may well order one as I have a HAB which I like but sometimes I just find it too hot and fiddly to take in and out of (in the beginning at the footy was perfect as she would sleep but now likes to watch and I find once have taken her out of it, if I don't re-tie it she sits too low - and have never managed to get feeding right in it), but still use on certain occasions but would like a spare as CJ does drool all over it. The Ergo with its clips and straps looks like will be easier for taking in and out of, and am hoping I can feed in it too. Hope J gets over her night feeding frenzy soon.
Amy - Yeah don't know if will ever get a Macpac as the Ergo should suffice, but the one thing my friend said was great about them is you can take off put on the floor with baby in and is like a seat for them so you can stop for lunch etc and they can stay in it. You nearly gave me a heart attach when said Pinky Mackay site cheaper for Ergos as am a bit of bargain hunter and thought I had done my research - so double checked and the ABA didn't display the 20% off till checkout so was a couple of dollars cheaper but sale ended yesterday - so I reckon the Pinky site is now definitely the cheapest around.
AFU - Have got a blocked duct, or had one not sure, but am off to docs today (thanks for advice BG) to get some antibiotics just in case as last night area was very red and hot, but seems a bit better today. I have been doing all the things suggested by the ABA including feeding on all fours, CJ thinks I am mad when I dangle the boob in her face but it seems to work (the idea is to get the chin on the blocked area) but she gets a breastmilk hairwash as the other one drips on her head! Have been trying out other feeding positions too, figuring maybe if mix it up a bit might prevent blockages in future and have found one that gives me both my hands so I can type at the same time as feeding - so watch out for more long rambling posts from me! I am starting to think about what I need to pack for our UK trip, leave a week on Sat, I hate packing and normally do last minute but think I need to be more organised this time - any advice? I will probably still post when in the UK, they will just appear in middle of the night - Raindrops (Janelle) went back to the UK I think I saw on facebook but I haven't heard anything since?
