Hello there ladies!
Firstly, yay Darcy! What a clever little thing.
I'm so sorry that I'm not going to be able to do personals, but as you imagine, I have a LOT to catch up on. I have missed you guys, but it's just all been a bit too much around here for me to post. I hate not posting personals when I post so I never have time to do a personals post and write about what we're up to - I'll just have to learn to be quicker I suppose because I don't want to miss out on you guys altogether! I have done a quick scan of this thread, but I'd love to hear all your news... if there's anything big I have missed in the last 4-6 weeks that you or your bubs have done can you write about it in a line or two so I can catch up? That would be great.
We're going really well here. The boys are lovely (most of the time!) and Toby is thriving. He's in 00-0 clothes (he's very long), but I'm not sure how much he weighs because one thing or another has always gotten in the way of us getting down to the dr for his appt/immunisations. We're going to be doing that on DH's next SDO though, and I'm not looking forward to it at all. (Please don't think I'm a neglectful mother - we know two kids who had very bad reactions to their needles - one died and one is severely brain damaged - so I've been wanting to wait until every trace of sickness is away from this house before I take him.) Toby is sleeping pretty well - we only have to wake up twice at night these days and quite often he'll give us a sleep in. It makes such a difference him sleeping in his cot- Charlie slept with us for ages and I never used to sleep properly. At least the sleep we get it solid these days. Toby's a strong little bugger and he loves being in his (stationary) walker and watching and laughing at what Charlie does. He's getting close to being able to sit up on his own and roll from his back to his belly (he can already roll the other way). He's a bit of a squawker too - I reckon he'll be talking before Charlie does! He's very interested in food - I'll probably start him on solids in early December. Still fully bf, although he didn't like have ebm from a bottle to start with. I've had a few gigs recently where I've had to leave ebm for him, but he's getting better at it now. Better start expressing for all the end of year/Christmas gigs I've got coming up too.
My brother got married and the wedding went really well. Thanks so much, Kim, for organising that poem for us. I had to read it and I was a blubbering mess. I was worse at this wedding than at my own! I'll tell you about it next time I have a chance to post.
I'm finally back to what I was pre-pg, thank goodness. Still a bit of toning to do (bum and belly) but I feel like I'm back to my old self again.
Oh dear, Charlie has discovered the chord to the laptop. Better go before he wrecks the computer or himself! I hope I'll be able to find some time to write at least every week to see how you all are.
Big hugs to you and your bubs.
