There are many issues that you will encounter as a new parent. We have put together this list of useful articles and threads in order to assist you with some common questions or issues you may have, and to provide you with bit of extra support that we all need as new parents:
Please contact the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) or a Lactation Consultant if you are concerned that you may have breastfeeding and/or supply problems, and before the introduction of solids.
I certainly should have been in bed and right now I should be in the car driving into Adelaide LOL...
Thanks for all the well wishes and I'm so glad that I didn't make you feel bad Tania! Mummy got it spot on when she said you're glad when they don't move because life is so much more easier but when they do start to move - you just wanna tell the world!
Shazz I'm sure everyone will turn up but grrr at those people not RSVP'ing!! Good luck hun!!
Shazz ~ I hope that it didn't ruin the day by only half of the people invited turning up. Putting an RSVP on an invitation is there for a reason....how rude that people just don't bother to reply.
Shazz ~ Grrrr at those people – how rude!!! I would have been there in a heart beat!! I hope it was a good day any way.
Last night was great – though I talked a mile a minute and way too much !!! Today at the exam I made up for it with 2 and half hours of quiet time LOL. It went really well and I finished with 20 minutes to spare which meant I could leave early. I didn’t really fancy waiting in line to have my test checked AFTER the time was through – considering there were almost 450 people there  Really tired now though. I have dishes to do and other stuff to get through but I’m so hot and bothered and my head hurts! Emerson has come down pretty badly with what I had the other week. I will see how he goes and might end up taking him to the Dr’s… the poor thing is coughing and has pretty much lost his little voice!
We are going to a pink themed birthday party and I bought Emerson the cutest little pink shirt today – he is going to look adorable in it!!!
I hope everyone is having a really good weekend. It feels really strange being home on a Sunday. I might take a walk down the shops once it has cooled down to get the paper. I’m also thinking of doing a little scrap booking!
nah didn't ruin it just peeved me off some seen as i had booked for 40 people and 19 turned up but ryan was so cute all dolled up and he really played it up for all the people in the church and for the cameras afterwards i'll have to get my sister to email me some photos mine didn't turn out so good we had a lovely lunch afterwards and he received dome really lovely gifts and we had the most delish cake ( mud cake ) hmmmm so much for my diet there is always next week ( in one photo of us i look like i'm at least 7 months pg again so it is definately time i pull my act together for sure )
I just had to quickly pop and say a big thank you to all my lovely friends. Tania came over today and gave Lachlan a gift, Omg you are all so kind and I just can't thank you enough. I really am lost for words but just know that it was very much appreciated but not necessary. A special big thank you to Tania, you are such a sweet girl and gee I would be lost without you these days. Hugs and kisses to you all, actually brings a tear to my eyes right now as I say that and realise that we were in your thoughts and you all care soooo much. Actually held it together today when Tania was here (guess I have cried enough lately), but at them moment the emotions are starting to run. Thank you thank you thank you to the lovliest bunch of girls I have ever met.
Shazz - that is so rude about the christening, hope things went well though?
Sheree ~ Hugs to you for people i have never met i feel very conected and i'm so glad we have had the chance to share in each others joy of having our babies and to hear how they are going from day to day coming on to BB is a high light of the day for me ..
so thank you all for sharing your precious babies and yourselves
I'm a bit of a stickybeak.. you not having a very good time at the moment Sheree?
I'm a bit addicted to another forum, but this one was recommended to me so I will try to keep up - I'm a sucker for meeting other May Mummies - online and in real life!
Thought I'd fill one of these out - will fill out my other profile thingy soon as I've posted!

Vic nope you can't and my inlaws certainly ruined our day! Darcy looked beautiful but it was about 35degrees here today - poor little thing. She was good through the service but she's not really social and crys when she can't see me. I hope she grows out of it. We had so much food it was rediculous!
Oh and the ILs came to the church, wouldn't speak to anyone including Cam and then decided we made them too uncomfortable to join the rest of the day. Poor Cam they told him for things to improve he has to apologise.....for what?!?! I had a nice day with my nice family though.
Welcome Erin ! I just checked out your photos site, and Cooper is a sweetie. I thought my little one made a mess when eating pumpkin, but Cooper tops it! And she sits up really well for 6 months (my baby is just learning to sit up - and he's two days older than yours!). And I must ask you... did you get the tattoo's on your wrist?? Did that kill?? (I've got a tatt on my toe... and that hurt!)
Gotta say girls... I love your new signature photos !!! Those chrissy ones are particularly adorable!
I'm not sure when I last posted... but after spending a week at sleep school I came out with gastro, and was on deaths bed last week. (feeling much better now). Shaun has sorted out his day sleeps and now sleeps in 2 hour blocks (instead of 20 minutes). ONE night he slept a straight 7 hours (god that was bliss!!!)... but most of his nights have been the usual 3-4 hour blocks. But I'm sure they will sort out.
Kim... so sorry to hear about your IL's. That must make it so difficult. My IL's are over in Israel - and have never been to Australia. I have been telling DH to get his mum over here and he didn't think she would do it (she's about 70 I think, and doesn't speak much English). But he was talking to his Sis tonight, and apparantly Mum is keen to come to Australia - and we sent some money over recently so she's got the $$ to get a ticket. I am soooo happy, and I really hope she will come. She just has to get a visa, which won't be a problem for a holiday. I would love her to spend some time with Shaun, and I'm not sure when we can get back over there.
Sorry for the long post girls. Hope you had a great weekend... and best wishes for the week ahead!!
Cooper has improved her eating habits tenfold since those photos - and when her Dad feeds her she doesn't even need a bib (he used to be a renderer, might have something to do with it!)
The sitting up has really only taken place over the past week - I was so excited I grabbed the camera and started clicking away! She still falls back occasionally, but I try not to act shocked, and she generally just lays there looking perplexed!
I got "Cooper" on my right wrist, and my friend got "Aja" on her left.... doesn't hurt as much as you'd think, in fact, I'm wishing I'd got it bigger!
We're off to the shops today with a friend and her 5 week old Gotta stock up on pumpkin, and maybe some choccie custard for a treat (tried her on it thismorning, she was "mmmm'ing" all through breakfast!
WOW - You girls have chatted up a storm while i was gone.
Welcome back Sheree...good to see you.
Welcome to May Baby Buddies Erin. Glad you could join us. I am not a may buddy as Briley was born in june but i spent my whole pg talking to the girls as Briley was due on the 30th May. I hope you like it here with us....we are a lovely bunch!
What a weekend!! It was pretty good. Wedding was great. Island was beautiful. And thats pretty much it! I had a good time though.
Well the more exciting news it that BRILEY IS TALKING!!!!!!!!!!! She can say Da-Dad and Bub-Bub!!! I cannot believe it!! She started saying Dad just before we left on the weekend but only when she was sooky. But now she is saying it properly!! It is soo cute. It just blows me away.
I was also lent a Jolly Jumper yesterday which she tried out this morning and loved it!! She looks so cute in it.
Brents parents are up from Blackwater and are staying with us this week. It will be good to have someone watch Briley for me while i try and do what i need to do.
Anyways...I have heaps of unpacking too do so i will be back later.
