Okey dokey, this is the first time in a really long time that I have had a chance to sit down on the computer for more than 30seconds….I have a real lot to catch up on.
Sara Colby sounds like she’s doing really well! I do that with the potty too, though Darcy’s pretty freaked by it all. She knows to tell you when she’s going to do a wee or a poo (but she calls them all poos) but won’t do it if you rush her into the toilet. She has no pants on a lot at home, but is pretty good and we rarely have to clean up any messes. If she does have to often she’ll scoot outside lol. They say the best time to try and start TT is around 18 months. As for the sippy cup (I know I’m going back a bit) I’d rather have less mess than an advanced child…..I do believe the Mirena is a great alternative.
Yep Nat we have stairs, and I never found them a challenge really. Darcy’s fallen down a few a couple of times - she’s just more careful afterwards. She can climb and get down the stairs safely. I just showed her a few times and she got the gist. Hope Em’s feeling better soon. Does he cope with the ventolin?
Jodie, wow Yariv sounds like a worker! I can’t wait to see! The legs sound a bit average though. How’s the packing going. We’re moving in a week and I haven’t even started….they are paying for someone to do it though.
Leanne you poor love! Far out you’re going to be immune to every bug known to man shortly! How’s my precious Katy going?
Elissa. Those maggies! My mum feeds the ones at home….consequently we’ve never been swooped even though their nest is very close. Poor Archie’s finger! Swearing----Darcy said ‘oh s##t!’ yesterday when she tripped. Cam thought it was hilarious. Considering that’s the only expletive I use I should be more careful I think. Hope your DH’s interview goes how you guys want it to :fingerscrossed:. So have you decided to move?
Shazz your bathroom looks very professional! Hope you’re feeling better hun. How’s Ryan’s asthma going?
Sheree did you get the house with the newsagent? That’s a buggar about Lachlan getting under the matress in the port-a-cot. Is he still going well in the bed?
As for us, we’re packing up to move next Tuesday. Bit scary as we moving in on Friday and Cam goes away for 4 months on Saturday, and then Darcy starts CC on the Monday and our wedding anniversary on the Tuesday - woohoo all by myself.
We went into town last Friday night just the 2 of us and Darcy stayed with Nan and Pop (who’s her favourite person in the whole world ATM). LOL she fell asleep on the lounge so they slept on their chairs so they didn’t have to wake her when they moved her….dags. We had a lovely night though. It was the most sleep in a row I’ve had since Darcy was born.
Darcy decided last Sunday (9 days ago) that she no longer wanted to sleep in the cot…we had long screaming sessions until on the Thursday I thought I’d test a theory and borrow mum’s fold out bed. We’ll she was fine in that, so we pulled the cot down this morning and she’s been in the bed for nearly a week. We’ll get her a real bed after we move. She has no rail or anything. She did fall out with a thud last night, and a couple of time she’s gotten out in the dark and gotten lost and ended up next to the chest of drawers etc but other than that no real probs. Getting her to fall asleep in there is a bit of a challenge, but I’ve almost got that licked.
She’s also turned into a right terror, chucking HUGE tantrums and being really naughty. I’m quite laid back so I don’t know where she learned them, but I’m hoping they’ll pass. They make some days and all car rides a nightmare….I think she knows something big is going down.
Well that’s enough typing……be back soon.
