Hi Girls, sorry I have been MIA lately...hopefully things will settle down now that we are home and Jayden's party is out the way!

Welcome Reenie! Looking forward to getting to know you and your girls, I think nearly all of us have had our share of man troubles, like you I feel like a single mum most of the time as I do all the parenting.

Sheree: Sorry I missed you again on MSN, Chris took over and he wouldn't let me back on until it was too late. Can't believe baby Riley will be born in 5 wks!

Sorry Kim I can't help you, but I hope the cramps go and you O soon!

Elissa: Congrats to Jay!!! I hope you get a good price for the house!

We have had a crazy week! We got home from Melb 1.30am Tues morn, I had Tues off work knowing we'd be home late. Went to work with a horrible cold on Wed but kept getting told to go home....didn't but ended up taking Thurs off, made Jayden's bday invites and slept a bit before having to pick him up from FDC, went to work Fri even though I shouldn't have but luckily started feeling better Sat....Had all the shopping to do for Jayden's party was out from 10am until 6.30pm. I wanted Jayden's party next weekend so I had time to organise it properly and make a cake etc but Chris wanted it this weekend as its closer to his bday....its ok for him all he had to do was cook the meat. Anyway it turned out really good but I am so exhausted now. Jayden had his 1st piece of chocolate cake and although he loved it, he didn't eat all of the tiny piece he had...which is good, more for me! He didn't sleep all day but fell asleep just after 6pm when most of the ppl had gone...fingers crossed he sleeps though, he woke up briefly at 8.30pm for a nappy change, bottle and a story. Anyway I should be in bed now!

I have a checkup tomorrow... all will be fine I'm sure, this baby does not stop moving! My baby is 2yrs old tomorrow!! I can't believe how quick its gone!!

Well off to Mackay soon for my 35 week check up with Gyno in Mackay. I will be travelling home on Wednesday. I dread to think how many times I am going to be in and out of Mackay now!!!!

    Hey everyone.

    Happy Birthday Jayden.

Will do personals when not at work, but question for those of you with your children in FDC. Tell me to butt out if you like, but what are the charges and and what sort of things to your carers do with your children?

I am already planning how I am going to convert our double garage (dad's helping me building an internal wall, lining it, putting flooring down, putting a sink etc in.... etc etc).... so want a rough idea of costs etc.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN JAYDEN

... Great to hear he had a fantastic party ... Tania, did you go with a theme or certain colours ? I know not for everyone. I know how you felt with the shopping for so long in one day for the party goodies. I went a little crazy buying everything 'Bob the Builder' for Cendrine's 2nd b'day party on the 3rd May.
Chris sounds like my Adam, yep he only had to fire up the bbq & cook the meat ... Bubba sounds busy in there tumbling & having fun around All the best with your appt, YEH sure all is doing well with bubba & you !!

SHERRIE, you must be busy with those weekly bub appt's now. As I had HBP & they had concerns I had to go every week for a few months. Felt like I lived there BUT I loved my midwives Kerry (who delivered Cendrine) & Jan (who missed out on the fast delivery as she was at the supermarket & couldn't get to the hosp in time).

ELISSA, we figured out our house looks more presentable when the roses are out. Otherwise the front yard looks pretty boring. So fingers crossed maybe next March ?? But Adam informed me recently 'not to get my hopes up' as we are not sure if we can afford it as we would only be selling if we found a bigger house (which obviously means more expensive). Our house is lovely BUT yeh, just small for all '3' of us now. We purchased the house not knowing if we could have a bub & thought it would be ok up to toddler years if we DID have a baby, which we were right it has served it's purpose.
Our dream is to have no close neighbours & live on 1/2 to 1 acre. Oh, that would be so damn lovely

HEY GIRL'S, I had a very vivid ' dream ' Sunday morn whilst Adam was away (he had a super time), I was heavily pregnant & my contractions started at home. Cendrine was in the house & so was someone else, I think a girlfriend whom I was saying to "But we don't have a boy's name picked out". In the dream I got the impression I had NOT known I was pregnant for long, like we found out quite late (I think Adam was a work in the dream & on his way home). That's why I was worried I had NO boy's name because we didn't have time to find one. How funny is that I'd be interested to hear what you think, ... even if you have a funny take on it : (my sense of humor is my best friend some days espesh with an offical toddler these days LOL) !!!!!

... HAVE A SUPER WEEK AHEAD ALL !!!!!!!!!

... LEANNE, I'm home full-time with the little lady Cendrine (luckily for us Adam is on an above average income for us to afford for me to do so)

... Besides my work profession is in Melb & if I went back to work there it would mean I would be getting home about 9.30 or later at night, I would only see my daughter on weekends & that would not only be nuts but painfully heartbreaking.

Adam works in Melb. He is the same with his kind of work. Also gets a ton better salary in Melb compared to here in Ballarat.

I worked for 20years, I've paid my taxes But I have gotta say, I DO miss work (for all sorts of reasons) & ALL that goes with it. I'm a strong believer that's it's incredibly healthy for a Mother to be in the workforce, even for a few hours a week. It's so important to feel independent & have something that's your own & time away from your children to be YOU. Not to mention I miss the work praise, my clients, having co-workers (the nice ones), the work challenges, & of course don't forget those pay rises (what satisifaction)

Anyway, It still has taken even until now to come anywhere near accepting this is my work-style (occupation) for now until Cendrine starts school. I just keep reminding myself that I'm doing it for her

We keep busy with her community activities during the week, & everything else that goes with being a Mum !!

... So sorry LEANNE, I turned it into a big post ... I'm sure some of the gals can help you with your question

    Happy Birthday Jayden!!
Hope you got some lovely pressies!

    Drive safe Sheree!

How did your appointment go Tania?

Sorry Leanne, can't help you out....what do they do at Katy's cc? That's cool your dad's helping...he must be feeling a tad better these days? Hope so. You guys deserve it.

Lorelle, cool dream. I'm a believer in those things too.....have one for me will you?....before I decide which way I want to go again....now umming and ahhing about whether I can go through another 18 months TTC again. I'd love a bit of land too. We live in town ATM cos it's so much easier driving 6 minutes to work as opposed to the travel we used to have.

Reenie, babe that soundsl ike an awful situation to be in. I'm hoping and praying you and your babies are safe. Please please, don't know where you live or if you feel comfortable about it but PM me. I can honestly get you some information if you want it. The other girls can vouch for me - that is an area I know a lot about.

Gradients Shazz? Hmmm how exciting - NOT! Hope you get it done swiftly so it's over.

Okey dokey, managed to get through weapons training without getting shot (we use simulated technique with paintball guns - it's not so bad) and I didn't get belted at weaponless control so that wasn't too bad at all. The worst bit was I should have had to do it at all, cos I should have still been pregnant - but I'm not so I just sucked it up and got it done. Did it with my boss - she was more nervous than me...plus they couldn't fail me cos I couldn't hit her too hard
Darcy managed a huge projectile on Saturday night all over Cameron and the lounge. THankfully she'd been a bit off all arvo and both were protected by a blanket. I have never seen her vomit so much. It was going on so long I just redirected her head to spew on the floor So then came the lovely nappies overnight hmmmhmm. No more since but she's right off. I'm so hoping these aren't teething symptoms after she's never had any before. She keeps telling me her face is sore near her jaw.....
Oh, did a HPT and it's negative - which is good - means i haven't got detectable HCG and everything should go back to normal.....

Leanne- I am pretty sure that we pay $6 an hour but some goes to the governing body (Centacare) I will check, or maybe look them up online. L (Riley's FDC lady) has an outside paved area where they ride the bikes and play in the cubby/climbing thing and they play with toys inside and do puzzles etc. They don't do formal craft or anything but they do go to playgroup once a week with other FDC groups. If you ever want to talk to L she would be happy to answer any questions just PM me. I love the fact that Riley is in a house and always sleeps in a cot in a room by himself (L's DD's room she is one of Jess' friends) and he gets to interact with L's kids who are all in high school or uni.
    Hope that helps.

Sorry this is going to be a quick one, I have quickly read through the posts....

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes....Jayden had a great day with his grandparents, Aunties and a couple of cousins, they went to a play centre and Jayden went nuts for a couple of hours and slept for 4hrs (a record for him lately, esp since he is in bed asleep now too).

Leanne: I think we are paying about $4.95 per hour that may have gone up though I'm not sure....I just pay it haha. Thats good that you want to be organised! They have a swing set and sand pit (and other play things) outside, then a playroom at my SIL's (the other carers house is smaller so she has car sets a shop etc i the lounge). They do drawing, painting, playdough, tomorrow SIL is taking the day care kids to a play centre and they go to play group at the FDC centre on Thursdays....they do lots of things.

    Sheree: GL with your appt!

Lorelle: Jayden's party was organised from start to finish in just a few days, I wanted a Cars cake but ended up with a Woolies cake (made by my nephew though) and I bought Lightning McQueen and The King cars to go on top, it was a Cars theme really...I got party hats, tablecloth, serviettes etc all with Cars on it and most of his presents had something to do with Cars.

Kim: Well done getting through Weapons Training....sounds fun, I'm sure its hard work though! Poor Darcy! Hope she is feeling better soon. Thats great about your HCG levels, hope things happen quickly for you now.

Appt went well today bubs HB is very strong, my blood pressure was lower than usual but still ok and bubs who was head down 2 weeks ago has now turned itself around and is now breech, Jayden was head down at this stage and stayed there but this baby is so much more active. MW said it has about 4 weeks to turn again after that we may have a problem...I'm sure it will turn as its very active and still small. I have told work I will be taking days off from now because I am too tired to come in, they said it was fine because it means I can work closer to when the baby is due....I only have I think 28 work days (at best) anyway so not too far away I guess.

Anyway as usual this is longer than I intended, I have to go to bed since Jayden is asleep early for a change!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAYDEN!!!!!!

tania - glad you got over your cold and happy to hear that Jaydens birthday party went so well. Can hardly believe Jayden didn't eat his chocolate cake, Archie would devour the whole cake given half the chance, such a guts! Great to hear about your healthy bubba, im sure he/she will turn back around in time, Arch kept doing somersaults til about 39 weeks, but he got out okay.

sheree - hope you have a good trip to Mackay

leanne - the carer i used had 25 years experience in FDC and she charged $9.70 per day (that was with a 66% CCB). She took the kids out to another FDC ladie's house once a week for activities. She did playdoh, sand. HTH. Sounds like you have fantastic plans, wish you could be Archies carer!

lorelle - We have gorgeous roses in our backyard too but of course they aren't out atm. Hope you find a bigger house for a good prce next year. We are really looking forward to moving for similar reasons, even though we will be living in town, the place we are moving too is a country town and much quieter than here, will be lovely!

kim - Hope Darcy feels better, surely teeth couldn't do that much to her?! Great news on the HCG levels, must be a relief to know that your body is getting back to 'normal'.

Wow, what a day i've had. I spent the day cleaning, sorting, packing with a very helpful 2 year old. Only stopped for 15 mins all day and the house doesn't look any different! The house will be on the market as of Thursday, it is really cheap so we are quite confident that it will sell in time. So the rest of my week will involve more packing, cleaning and sorting, im actually enjoying it htough, it feels good at the end of the day to know that i have accomplished something, haven't felt like that since i worked.

Hi again Ladies. Thanks so much again for your warm welcomes and messages of support. We are in the process of working through our crap. But it is tiresome none the less. Kim I would very interested in those contacts. I have been looking into making the 'move' but feel pretty alone and helpless really. Its such a long and painful road to go down but I am still looking into it. I do need to have a failsafe. I will pm you my email. Thanks a lot for that I really appreciate it.

Happy Bday to Jayden!! Sorry I missed it earlier. Glad to hear he had a super day. I am taking India to Seaworld on Saturday for hers. Her actual bday is Wednesday. We (DH and I ) are taking her to the toystore and will let her pick some new toys. Then off the inlaws for a bday dinner and more pressies. (Torturous evening with his mother) That is a story for another day. I am sure we all have MIL dramas. For your sake I hope not. Some MILS can be great. Mine for the most part is over bearing and nosey. Sterotypical to a T.
Leanne I am lucky to be a SAHM but have considered going back to work. I have had a nanny before, and that is an expensive route for child care. India has life threatening allergies, excema and asthma so day care is not an option for her. I just won't risk it. It is probably the reason that she really has never had a cold or ear infection. She gets a bout of infected excema and impetigo every few months but something always triggers it. She has it under her eye and in the corner of her eye atm due to an allergic reaction to shampoo. But I am so used to dealing with it that it is clearing up already with phisohex baths and bactroban. I hope it clears up better for her seaworld expedition. She is already naming all the animals she is going to see down there.
Smiles4u -Sorry I forgot your name, it's on the last page! Thanks for the warm welcome and I just wanted to say that I love your DD's name. It is beautiful!! We had a terrible time picking out Seraya's name. India was easy, she was India from 22 weeks into pregnancy. But I named Seraya the day before I had her! Not that she knew any different. LOL.
I noticed there are couple of pregnant ladies in here. Hope everything is going well for your pregs. I still can't believe only a couple of months ago I was lamenting about my pregnancy niggles and pains. I wanted it to be over so bad. Now I miss my belly. Damn this female mind. We never know what we bloody want!!
I am so sorry I can't do anymore personals. I will try more as I get to know you more and start memorising your names and little ones names. I have to go. DH is beside me chomping on an ice cream and he is the LOUDEST freaken eater I have ever heard. My nerves are on fire atm and I just want to shove it down his throat, because that is what he is doing anyway!! I would just enjoy it more. ARGH have to go. Sorry LOL. Such a drama queen.

    Hi Girls!

    Just a quick post.

My MIL used my computer without permission and the $1600 brand new compyter $hit itself!! God knows what she did to it!!! So I am on the old computer with dial-up internet. Tech is coming out tomorrow to see if it can be fixed.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM AND JAYDEN!!!!

    CONGRATULATIONS JAY!!!!

Welcome Reenie!!! Nice to meet you. I am Sara. Mum to Briley and Colby. Looking forward to chatting to you!

Although they never calld back about Brents job, we decided it was'nt for him. There was no camp on mine site so he had to pay for all his own accomodation and meals. It was'nt enough money to leave home for.

Girls are good. Briley got bitten on the finger by a boy at kindy the other day. She was ok though. She has really started to crack up about going to kindy. Both of them cried when I left them today. I felt so $hitty about it.

I am on the mend. Start yoga tonight. Went and saw the psychcologist last week. Walked out of the meeting feeling 100% lighter. She confirmed that i do have depression and tried to talk me into meds but I again said no. We are having weekly sessions now. She gave me some meditation exercises to work on which have helped. Brent and I seem to be getting on a lot better since the app too (touch wood). Hopefully its a sign of things to come.

Sorry for no personal. I have read through all the post and know how you all are. I can't believe Sheree and Tania are already on the countdown to D-day!!! Times flies does'nt it. Kim, you sound like your feeling better honey. Hi to everyone else.

Well Briley big day is next week. We have'nt planned to do much. She will be at kindy on the day so I will let me know so they can do a little party for her. We are going to have a little thing with the mums group the day before and than prolly just do the family thing while we are away during the long weekend.

We hired a 4x4 camper trailer again for the long weekend. So looking forward to getting away. We have got a nice group of close friends going so it will be great to get away and just chill and chat basically! Can't wait!

Well best be going. Have yoga tonight and have to pick up Brent and the girls before i go. Oh and BTW - Brent lost his licence!!! So I have to get up at 6am everyday to drive him to work. Sometimes i feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall! God help me!!!

Okies....Not sure when i will be back....Will be in every now and then on this silly dial-up if not before.

    Hope you are all well....

    Love and Kisses....

    Sara!

reenie - sorry things aren't great with you and DH right now, big hugs, hope things improve soon for you.

sara - Thankyou for the congratulations you made me feel special! Poor Briley, getting bitten. So great to hear that your session with the psych helped you so much, you are such a strong woman Sara, i bow down to you. Great that it seems to be helping you and Brent get along better.....even if he did go and lose his lisence! How did that happen?? Sounds like a great weekend you have planned, hope you have a really relaxing time away. Bummer about Brent's job, how can the company expect to get employees if they wont even accomodate them? Cheap ba$tards! ts great that the neditations are helping you, i got given the meditations too but i was just too anxious and depressed to even have the concentration to do them, thats why i went on meds, so hopefully you wont need meds after all.

We have found a house in our new town, a couple who we know have a house that is on the market but hasn't had any interest, so we are gonna live there for 6 mths or more if it still isn't sold, it is a great huge house on LOTS of land (which we don't have to maintain), it is SO country we are very excited. Archie has been an angel, i cannot believe it, its been over 6 mths since he was this good. He has stopped having a day sleep, and now goes straight to sleep at night and wakes only once or twice and sleeps in, i hope it continues. Jay said i can go and buy new clothes on Saturday for my birthday, i am thrilled, all my clothes are holey and faded and so depressing, i can't wait to feel attractive again, might even get my hair cut, woohoo!

leanne - oh i am super jealous!! wear a skirt so you can take your knickers off and throw then at him LOL!

    ROFL Yeah yeah do that!!!!

    Happy Birthday India!!!

Sounds like a great house Elissa! Well I know where Archies crap sleeping habits wennt.......EAST!!!! Darcy and I are not getting along atm. She's gone from an easily managed kid to a major tantrum chucker. I'm hoping it's a phase and goes away - like tomorrow. She's been screaming for 2 hours now... I know what you mean about old clothes though. We live in this super hip and trendy town. I really want to chuck out some of my old old daggy stuff that you wouldn't be caught dead in, but I can't in case I really do need it. My hairdresser visits are my splurge. Cam's the same though.

lol at Ryan Shazz. Wish he'd teach the Dragon - she is soooo bad at that. Early practice for being a teen perhaps???

I love love love yoga Sara. Hope you enjoyed it. Are you sore? I used to find many unknown muscles when I was starting out. You do sound a bit more positive so I'm glad.

Well our house was under contract in Sydney to be sold....and it fell through today. I am so bummed.
