The department of health has to be notified with WC and they notify your employer etc. Our school had to notify the parents too. Mine wasn't diagnosed until after I was contagiuos so I had unknowingly been woring when contagious but I had been back and forth to the doctors the whole time trying to find out what it was which was frustrating. They are pretty sure I caught it from an undiagnosed child at school.
