Well after today's obs appt I feel so much better.
Need to have bub's heart monitored daily now until our c/s just to make sure that he/she is doing well.
I asked whether we could have the baby like yesterday, and my ob said yes we could have it whenever I like, however there is a risk that bub's lungs are still not developed enough and would prefer to wait until 39 weeks, just to reduce risks. Apparently when you have a c/s if the lungs are underdeveloped the baby might not be able to get all the gunk out. Makes sense. So.... that's what we are doing. Off to the hossy every day for monitoring until bubs is born. Of course if something happens 'naturally' between now and then I will go in for a c/s straight away. Man I am rambling.
Another good thing about today is I got the results back from a blood test I had to have done which is a 6 weeks recording of my BSL's and they were fine.... (well fine in that it was the same as I had been recording)... So I am now at peace knowing that there is nothing more that I could have done to prevent this baby being so big.
And the final good thing about today is that when my obs felt my belly she says, Leanne, by the size if your belly I can't believe it could be such a whopper. Now to me that tells me that (a) I am going to have great abs after this baby is born; or (b) it's not as big as what the u/s says. LOL!
So all in all a good day.
