Ash, don't get me started about fishing!!! We have just brought a boat, and it is my DH's new baby!! We went out last weekend, then he spent the Sunday cleaning. polishing and touching up the paint!!!obsessed is an understatement!!! We are looking at jobs all over, thought mainly NT and WA as they have the most mining potential jobs. I think a change is as good as a holiday and would be good for the kids while they are young. We would not sell our house here though cause this will always be home. Sorry southern guys but QLD really is awesome and I couldn't imagine home being anywhere else!!!!

Tan, sounds like you are keen for that vbac!! Good luck at the hosp, I hope they are supportive of your decision!! The list looks great - can't wait to start shopping!!! Are we all just going to pm you our addresses and stuff?? Can't wait!!

Anyway, just Angus and I at home today so am going to take advantage of it and try and have a nap!!! I am exhausted!! Had a huge weekend and need to catch up on some zzzzz's and housework at some stage!! have a nice day everyone!!!

    BIRTHDAY STUFF!

Hey Shell- VERY keen for a VBAC - I seriously think if I have another c/s I will need some major counselling Im that worried about it - just the thought of it makes me feel ill!
Ah well hopefully this bubby will co-operate and come out on time and in time and it won't be an issue!

Didn't think about addresses etc I think Im going to have to know who is buying for Izzy because DH won't cope with organising all of this! Ah well doesn't matter!
If everyone could pm me or email your address that would be great so that when I email you tomorrow night I can include addresses.
Also if anyone has preferences for gifts let me know too so I can let your KK person know.If you prefer me to email PM your email addy instead!
Cheers and I will be on and off today - bl@@dy dial up is driving me nuts - thank goodness its the 1st of the mth tomorrow!

He he lol Shell, I was also thinking 'spot the teacher!'.

Tan that is a huge compliment in case you are wondering! Some of my bestest friends are teachers!
I will PM you too. I really hope you can get that VBAC tan, how did you go at the Mercy?? I have heard great things about them too, wish I lived a little closer as I would have considered going there.

Miss Elena is being a grumpy bum today, I hope she isn't getting my cold.

Sorry Tan, that was a compliment!!!! I would love to go back and do my bach ed, have actually been looking into it, a few other nurses I know have done it cause you get some credit I think with nursing subjects!! I wish my daughtgers teacher was organised though, he is only 2nd year out so should be full of enthusiasm i should think, but he is very stressy and yells a lot and all the kids hate him!!! He is also extremely forgetful!! Oh well, at least it is only a year!!! Anyway, am spose to be doing housework - da*m belly belly, I could sit here all day!!!

Heehee taken as a compliment ladies and the excel spreadsheet I have set up for all this is working away so its not that much work really!

Im still on here too even though its so damn slow on dial up!

Sangie - I have a tour at 530 tonight and will let you know how I go! Box Hill is about 15-20 from here in no traffic and the Mercy is about 20-25mins, but its a trek on the Eastern..I warned AL he might ahve to deliver the baby on the side of the Eastern and his response was "cool we don't really want to go to hospital anyway do we?!!!!" Silly man would rather deliver on the side of the road rather than in the comfort of our lounge room I do like the fact that rooms are 2 people to a room - at BH they are 3 - doesn't sound like much but in the very unlikely event I have another c/s I dont want to have 3 screaming babies in one room - 1 is bad enough - 2 will be tolerable!!!!

Ha ha Shell I thought nobody would see my silly typing error! You are way too fast lol! Now get back to your housework (says she who is supposed to be working at home today!)

Tan ha ha at Al delivering on the side of the eastern freeway, be very careful what you wish for lol!!! I hope the tour goes well tonight, good luck deciding.

Ok going to get some work done now.........Elena has finally decided to have an afternoon nap so now I have no more excuses (except for BB of course!)

OMG What a day!!! I held mums group here today and baked banana cakes and mud cake with chips and dip as well for the savory fans. 2 babies are walking and the rest are flat out crawling. The last has just gone home so I thought I would do a quick catch up while Noah is still asleep but I don't see that lasting much longer

Tan, How exciting to be checking out birth centres, why not the BellyBelly one while you are at it I hear you on the VBAC, it would be the better way to go. I was just going to ask you about work and then I realised you are on holidays for one more week, lucky girl Are you enjoying the time off?

Lis, Hope your cold gets better soon and that Elena doesn't catch it. The sudden changes in temps seems to throw everyone through the loop.

Kristen, Fantastic news that you can resign your job, isn't it fantastic when you can do what you love for work? I am with you on the denial of 1st birthdays too, I just wish we could have our little babies just for a bit longer.

Lulu, Hope your pregnancy is going a bit smoother now, you don't have much longer to go!!! Good luck on picking a name soon!!!

Michelle, Did you manage to get some rest? Cleaning can always wait. Has the rain stopped for you so you can do your washing

Ash, Sorry to hear Scott is being such a di*k, it will be such a great relief to sort out the division of property and visitation so you can concentrate on the new life with Dave.

Okay that is as far back that I can see for now, I told you all I would catch up soon. I keep reading but I have no time for anything anymore with work and trying to get my interior business planned. I hate writing business plans!!! I am going to start with a blog and then when I get back from Canada in August I am going to get myself some clientele which should be all of Horsham since I will be the only Interior Designer in town.

I just thought I would say that I love O'Connels Family Centre!!! Noah's sleep has been fantastic since we got back home aside from a few nights where I think his teeth have been giving him trouble. He now sleeps from 7pm-7am and has 2 days naps unless I am working on that day because he doesn't sleep too well at the workshop with Daddy. I am nearly a new woman again!!! I think that is all the time I have because my little man is talking to himself in his cot so the crys will start soon. Hope everyone has a great week and I will try to leave less time between posts so I don't get so far behind again. I am working 5 days this week though so don't expect much out of me

OMG Tan - spread sheets?!?!? You're either a teacher or a lawyer!!! Thanks for organising the KK - will PM you in a minute. Good luck with your tour tonight and I'll cross almost everything you get your VBAC - you'll have to forgive me if I don't cross my legs just yet though. I want this kid OUT!!

Shell - come to WA!!! I need a friend over here. I'm so jealous when the Melbourne girls talk about their catch ups.

Sarah - great news to hear that Noah is sleeping so much better. A good night's sleep makes such a difference doesn't it.

Lis - I hope you're not doing too much housework. Izzy has been a bit of a grumpy bum over the last few days. I think its teeth but I seem to always be saying that. At least with all the walking she conks out for her day naps much more quickly than before.

Soooooo over pregnancy. I've had really severe period pains and heaps of very strong BH over the last few days and keep hoping but nothing comes of it. Will have to keep jumping up and down on the spot to see if I can dislodge her Its been raining almost non-stop since very early this morning today and it is sooooo cool. I had almost forgotten what it was like to be cold - I'm actually wearing a jumper! Anyway, kind of stopped all my plans of washing Ned's cot linen today so I've had a lazy one. Very nice.

I am hoping to come up to Brisbane in May Ash!! Check out my blog!! (Children's, Kids and Newborn Photography in Melbourne :: Kristen Cook {The Blog})

Tan - you're so cute!! Will PM you now

Shell - I know the feeling. I get stuck at the computer too often and house looks like a pigsty all the time as a result. The joys of working from home! LOL

Sarah - Yay on Noah's sleeping! That's great to hear the sleep school has worked so well.

Lulu - SO CLOSE NOW!!! I can hardly believe it...

Sorry to anyone I've missed - just a quick stop in from me

Hey ladies! Just need Danni and NurseDans details and we are set to go! Whoo hooo! Thanks for the pm's ladies!

Well I had my tour at the Mercy last night and it's great! Really lovely environment, doesn't feel too hospital like and only being a few years old is really nice and modern! I know what the place you give birth in looks like has a HUGE impact on things! but being the chicken who hates hospitals that I am it is important for me! I am going to talk to them today at the bookings office about VBAC but Im pretty sure I will book in there! Yay! There are 2-3 Dr's on their public rotation that are pro-vbac too so my odds are already much better than at Box Hill!

Touch wood - Im starting to feel a teeeny tiny bit better, mornings are still pretty ugh, but now I have shocking hayfever! I haven't stopped blowing my nose night and day for the last week.... I keep thinking I'm going to get a sore throat and a cold but it's just the nose so it must just be hayfever... very annoying!

Ok Im off to school to do some work with the other teachers today - ugh - I have ZERO motivation for teaching right now - I hate it, and Im finding it really hard to share a grade too so I need to get my head on straight and focus through the nausea!
Ok have a great day and I will be pming everyone this arvo hopefully!

Hey Shell! I have the Maclaren Quest! It is fab, one of the girls at MG has the Techno which folds up and has an over shoulder carry handle - mine has a carry handle you carry with your hand if that makes sense..... it's about $230 though so if you want a rough and tumble one that you don't want wrecked maybe not! The Techno is 5kgs and m ine is 5.5kgs - I can fold it and pick it up while carrying Iz too..... once bub comes we will use that for a while longer for Izzy and will be getting a carrier of some sort for the gumnut child! HtH!

Oh ok, I thought it was a Maclaren, not sure if anyone sells them up here, will have to go shopping!! Where i brought my P&T and Angelcare monitor they do a rewards thing where if you spend $1000 you get $100 credit. I think I have spent about $900 (how on a 3rd child I dont know!!) so I figure I might as well get one there and can spend $100 but get a $200 stroller if that makes sense!!!??? Might go check it out! Thanks!

How is the KK going! I am dying to know who I am shopping for, I am going to a seminar tonight so will have to check if you are done tomorrow!! Better go organise dinne and the kids before I leave! Oh, I thought Angus was going to be the last one to solve his sleeping probs, last night he slept from 7.30pm till 5.30am YAY!!!!!! Fingers crossed he keeps it up~!!!!!!!

    Hello,
It looks like I just got in at the last minute! Julian would love to join the KK. He is on the 24th April. It's no surprise we were forgotten I haven't been on here for awhile I can't believe our little bubba's are turning one. The year flew by so fast!

It's great to hear how all of the bubba's are progressing. We are doing well. Though changing Julian has become a monumental task of wriggling and screaming and it has become my least favourite task. He tears around the place and I am thinking of getting a playpen for my sanity. Has it worked for anyone else? I've started organising his 1st birthday which will be at home, somehow squeezing everyone in. Hopefully it is good weather and some people can hang outside. We both have big families and not inviting people can get very political!

Lulu - wow, you are so close to the end! It must be frustrating with everyone telling you not to bother with Izzy's party, of course you would want to do it.

Kristen - the photos look awesome. You have such a great talent. I wish you were around me and I'd do it for sure!

Tan - great to hear your u/s went well. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Sarah - glad to hear Noah is sleeping better for you. It makes such a difference doesn't it.

    Hi to everyone else
