Tan - Dave is Australian with nothing else mixed in (didn't know how else to put it). He just tans up easily. Drives me mad. How did you get on with the tommee tippee bottles? Are you getting anywhere with Izzy taking a bottle?

Danni - Big hugs for you and Dale's family during this hard time.

Ash -Big hugs for you and DH too. So sorry.

Quick one here too - No luck with the bottle Dan - havent bought the Tommee Tippee yet - too sick to get out much right now. Not sure if it will really make a difference anyway seeing as she just pushes it out with her tongue and doesnt even try to suck How aobut you?? Must be the photo I looked at- he looks quite tanned!! Al already has a lovely tan now and its not even summer - the joys of working outdoors I guess!
Let me know how you are going with Livvy!

VERY quick from me but TAN TAN TAN! Mia drank from the bottle this morning!! After three weeks of trying bottles at almost every feed, and with her just pushing them out of her mouth and pursing her lips... we have success!!

We started syringing some of the bottle into her mouth so she could get the taste for it first, which she took, and we also added some Infants Friend to the bottle as well, as we know she likes the taste of it. Normally when we put the teat in her mouth, she realises its not the syringe and doesn't take it, but for some reason this morning, DH decided to also squeeze the end of the teat as she had it in her mouth and she started sucking.... and then finished the bottle!!!!

We tried another one this afternoon, and she didn't take as much as she did this morning (maybe only 20ml) but she is SLOWLY getting there again! SO HAPPY!!!

Guess who didn't know we had a new thread??? Now I am behind again, just when I caught up too!!!

I need to make this a very quick catch up because I need sleep desperatly so forgive me if I am short in my personals...

Dan - I just looked at your album, what sweet photos. Olivia is just gorgeous! I am so jealous!!! Phantom of the Opera!!! I am glad you enjoyed it. Will update on Noahs boy bits at the end.

Hayley - Welcome to BB and the May Babies thread, as the other girls have said it is very addictive here

Ashlee - Sorry to hear about your friend, that is terrible news to receive. The pics of Blake and Mason are so adorable, the bath one is sweet.

Lulu - How sweet of your grandma How are you feeling lately?

Tan - Get some rest!!! Being on your laptop in bed does not count either

Kelly - It could be possible that Luke has an ear infection, one of the mothers in MG had the same problem and ended up finding out he had an ear infection the whole time.

Kristen - Yay on Mia taking the bottle!!! Perseverance pays off sometimes!

Now.... Noah's doodle.... The swelling stopped going down a few days ago but to me it seems big still, maybe that's what it looks like but I am not used to it in this form... Anyway, in my opinion I would say there is still foreskin, I now have to pull it back and clean it and make sure it is dry after a bath, not my idea of fun. The Dr said that it is room to grow. I compared with another bub who had the plastibell and Noah's does not look as neat as his. There was no foreskin left behind on this bub. I am baffled but I am not putting my poor little man through that again. I felt guilty enough.

I AM FINALLY A MARKET PLACE MEMBER!!!!! CHECK OUT MY SIG!!!!

Not too much to say here, was sick, feeling better. Noah is being a pooh about night sleeps, he is up 4 and 5 times a night again, last night he decided to play at 4:00am and playing meant cooing at the top of his lungs. I had to get up and play with him until 6:00am when he decided he was tired again. No rolling here either but I am trying to guide him. He doesn't roll from front to back or back to front.

How cool is that thing that comes from the Fess drops? I thought picking his nose with a cotton swab was fun. It isn't fun for him though... Anyway this took 15mins longer than I wanted it to. Hope everyone else is well!!!! xx

Oh yeah before I forget.... Melbourne girls!!!! September 23rd I can meet up with whoever wants to meet up. Juz and I are going to a surprise party on Sat night and Sunday he is willing to stick around so I can meet up with y'all!!!! So who is in?? And can we meet in the city somewhere???

Go Kirsten and Mia!!!!! Way to go with taking the bottle again. Fantastic effort. We are back to trying to get Olivia to take a bottle again tomorrow night. Fingers crossed.

Sarah - Your website looks fantastic and what a terrific idea. You can do all of this from home with Noah and you definitely have a flair for it. Your designs are amazing. Great job!

Well I'm off to bed and fingers crossed I'll get a good block of sleep.

    Catch up and chat tomorrow.

Sarah - at the new thread!! and congrats again on your MPM!! How about on the couch watching Dr Phil with the computer on my lap and a nice cuppa joe?? Thats my idea of resting Poor Noah and his doodie - do you think thye are all just different anyway and he will grow into it?? At least he didnt get an infection or anything. Did he sleep well for you last night? Bad news from me for the catch up. I have my aunties 70th bday lunch on the other side of the city - an hour drive for us so wont be able to make it to a catch up

Kristen - what a little champ Mia is!! You have given me hope- I just have to keep perservering I guess and I dont offer it that often - because Ive been sick I havent at all in the last few days.

Ash - hope you are doing ok hun - how is Blake going?

Danni - how are you hun - a bit quiet these days. I hope Mason is well! and you of course!

Dan - hope you got some sleep!

    to you all!

Well still a bit sick here - although not as bad as yesterday. No more hot/cold chills but my throat is still sore I just wish I didnt miss another mothers group today - its my one sanity and I really look forward to it each week. One of my gf's is taking the day off work tomorrow so I think we are going to play!

I also went to school the other day to discuss my options for next year - I dont like my chances of gettting a part time position because we already have a few part timers there and its a small school. So Ive started looking at positions at other schools which I dont even really want to do - but hey thats life . Id rahter do CRT (emergency) so might have to have a good chat to Al and try and convince him its the way to go!

Well missy is awake - Id better go! Have a great day all!
    xoxo

Tan, I'd definitely give TT Closer to Nature bottles a go if she is fussy on the bottle and you do want her to take it. Because of the design, bubs needs to take a huge mouthful of teat to actually get anything out, so it's so very similar to breastfeeding. I hope you get well soon sweetums. I'm dong GREAT to be honest, my AD's are working a treat...DH said to me yesterday "How many pills have you got left? You're not running out? Ok good" lol I'm a new person, I feel like I can cope and I haven't cried (except about our friend's death) since I started taking them. Finally, I'm starting to feel like me again instead of like I'm trapped in a black hole. I think Blake can tell the difference, because he is even self settling himself to sleep now, I put him in bright eyed and bushy tailed, and he just talks to himself till he falls asleep, or he goes out like a light all by himself. I love knowing how to determine his cries and signs now, I'm just feeling great about him and life and everything at this point in time. (Sorry for the rambly post).

Sarah-Congrats on the MPM!! I'll have to stop by your store, are you doing greeting cards as well as invitations and birth anouncements? I am thinking I'd like to send you a photo closer to the time and get some cards made for Chrissy!

Dan-How did you go last night? Did Liv sleep?

Ahhh I'm just having a good day today. The sun is shining, Blake is asleep (I think, he is quiet in his cot so I'm not complaining) and I just feel....pleasant. All my posts have been so negative of late, so I apologise, hopefully I can be more supportive and less self involved from herein.

Ash - as Ive said many many times - thats what we are here for!! and I have to say it is soo good to hear that you are doing well! Its funny how they can pick up on us being upset/sad/tired etc. so its great that Blake is content too now that you are feeling so much better! You can tell in your post that you are sunshiny Huge to you sweety and remember - if you are feeling down or sad or angry - thats ok and turn to people IRL or on here that you can talk to about it!
Have a nice day - I wish the sun was out here- it would make me feel better about sitting ont he couch - I could look out and see the nice day at least! Maybe I should move to QLD !! Heehee! Actually Im trying to convince Al we should go back to FNQ for another holiday not getting very far!
Im rambling now - glad you are ok! Talk soon!

Thanks Tan for that, will try it now.
Finall got Corey to sleep, I think he is teething, hes grumpy, dribbling lots, red cheeks and warm cheeks. Poor little guy is in so much pain.

Ash - I'm so thrilled to read about you saying how content you are with life. I'm just so happy for you. Awful about your friend though. Such a hard thing to deal with. I hope you and your DH are coping as best you can. Thanks for the comments on solids not helping get Blake through - I'm really not ready to start Izzy on them yet so good to know it won't help. The lactose intolerance thing is interesting isn't it - can't say just how much of a difference (and how quickly) soy made to Izzy. Oh, and my due date is 28 April.

Tan - so sorry you're not a well chook. Hope you feel lots better soon. I second Ash on the TT Closer to Nature bottles. I use them and Avent ones with Iz but back in the beginning the TT were the only ones she would take.

Kirsten - YAY for Mia taking a bottle. Such an enormous relief when you know that even though you don't necessarily want to race out without your gorgeous girl, if you want to you actually can.

Dan - good luck with your bottle feeding efforts with Olivia. I know it took a while to get Izzy to latch on to the idea that bottles were yummy too, and she started a whole lot younger than Livvy, Mia and Tan's Izzy, so its not surprising its taking all your girls a little longer.

Sarah - yay on your MPM. Great news. Poor Noah's little boy bits though. Maybe its like big boys though - they all look a bit different even though its the same "equipment" I hope any extra swelling goes down quickly though and hopefully its not giving him any pain.

Kelly - you poor love. Its such a struggle. You need to do whatever you feel comfortable doing, without guilt or pressure. And definitely keep massaging those boobies, no matter what you do. I had very painful lumps for quite a while when I stopped BFing.

Danni - hugs to you chicken.

Hayley - that is a gorgeous photo of your little man. He's very cute.

Well, nothing good happening here. Like Tan, I can no longer "gloat" about my gorgeous girl sleeping through at nights. She is being a nightmare - takes hours to get to bed and then wakes at least twice (taking ages to resettle), and then wakes for the day at 6am. During the day she is so clingy and whingy - won't play on her mat, won't go down for a nap if she's awake and if I do manage to get her asleep on my shoulder and then put her down, I'm lucky to get 40 minutes out of her. I think she might be teething - I sort of hope she is because if this is a personality change I don't like it!!! Are there any other bubbies with teeth yet? How long does it take from when they start getting grumpy, really dribbly and all the rest before a little tooth shows itself?

hey guys...sorry i havent been posting much, weve been busy!

I am actually exhausted both physically and mentally and angry with the lack of help available. Mason is just not sleeping well at night at all. Although he is sleeping much better during the day thanks to Ashlees help and suggestions!

I am on the "Waiting list" for the residential sleep schools and we need major help in that dept.

Anyway i wont ramble, im off to bed. Yes already

Ill try and catch up with some personals soon.

    Love yas xxx
P.S i wanna go back to brisbane!!! I miss Ash and Blakey so much

    Hi All!

Wow, I have been MIA for awhile (sick kids), don't know whether I should even attempt personals!!!

Tan, hope you are feeling better.Where abouts in FNQ do you want to holiday? I am in Townsville, and the weather here at the moment is amazing!! Almost time to get the swimmers out! You will need to convince DH to come up here and then we can have a Townsville meet up (anyone else??!!)
Ash - so good to hear you are feeling so great!! Love the piccies of the boys on hols together - so cute!
Dan, are you going back to work soon, or are you after Olivia to take a bottle for some much needed freedom once in a while!
Sarah, hope Noah's boy bits settle down! Sounds just like ANgus's though, the Dr assured me he would "grow" into it as he has a lot of pelvic fat. I am not convinced, but like you would not do it again. We just call it his half circumsion!!
Lulu, how is the MS. Sounds like Izzy might be teething. Both my girls got 2 teeth at once at almost exactly 4 mths. And they were the same, stopped sleeping through and grizzly etc.
Hayley, welcome! Your little man sure is a cutie!!
Kristen, how is the new job at Darlings Downunder going?? Bet it is fun, since you love all those MCN (do you spend all your pay back on nappies!!) I'm sure thats what I would do!!
Danni, I hope Mason starts sleeping a bit more for you. Sleep when you can!

If I have missed anyone, I am sorry, but hello to you all!!!

Angus is currently in bed, asleep and sick, my poor boy. He started last night with a bit of a cough, and now I can hear that he is snotty, but right at the back as he chokes on it and I can't get it out for him. I can guarantee that whenever my kids get sick it is on a Friday, and they get worse on the weekend when there are no Dr's available!! Hopefully it is just a cold and he gets better quickly with lots of BB juice!

    Take care everyone!!

I am pooped but I will attempt personals and see how I go.

Dan, Thanks! I had to think of something to do from home even if it brings in a tiny trickle at least it is something, I don't think I could leave Noah with anyone for a long time. How are you going with Olivia?

Tan, It's good to hear you are feeling better. I guess you could classify that as resting, only because of the coffee As for Noahs circ, I don't think it's just because everyones noodles are different, the foreskin still covers half of the head, at least the whole thing hasn't fallen off hehe.

Hayley, Your ticker pic is soo cute!!

Ashlee, Great to hear you are in better spirits and that Blake is calming down as a result of it, way to go!!! Like the other girls said we are here for you through the good and the bad.

Lulu, I think Noah is going through a teething stage as well but I am afraid I don't know too much about how long teeth take to appear. I hope it isn't bothering her too badly.

Danni, You poor thing, I hope you get a spot soon..

Michelle, Sorry to hear Angus is sick, I hear you on the Friday thing, that is usually when I get worried about anything with Noah. What a pain

Is anyone else suffering from insomnia? I am not sure if this is a hormonal thing but I lay in bed for hours before I can fall asleep and it is driving me mad.

Noah went for his first swimming lesson this morning and it was great, he was the most relaxed baby in the water and he really enjoyed it. This afternoon he had his 4 month shots and is unsettled and wont go down for a sleep poor thing.
Well better get thinking about dinner, hope everyone has a great weekend!! We have the local footy tomorrow as well as a birthday tomorrow night and another birthday on Sunday!
