Tara - Aston went to bed, then was up howling...so I gave him some panadol, and some bonjella, and fingers crossed, took him back to his bed. Now he is sleeping...for how long will be the 64000 dollar question. I'm soooo tired, that running away is looking like a highly attractive option! I'd pay good money for one night of sleep...no make that just 6 hours of unbroken sleep...hell I'd even settle for 4!
nice work Vicky, you must have been staking out the old thread!
I think i had 3 hours unbroken sleep last night. i went out for 2hours today to my SIL's baby shower so just getting away was enough for me to refresh. as i drove away from the house i could just feel the weight lift! then i came home and evie didnt want an afternoon nap! nevermind. i guess it's hard to be sympathetic to them sometimes!! doesnt that sound awful!!! we're only human at the end of the day.
I found a really cute poem today, do u think i'd be allowed to post it on here? if i credit the author?
I take it all back...I am busy counting all my blessings, and the fact that I have this beautiful baby boy, and that I am able to hold, and cuddle and kiss him all over... I just found a notice of someone that I chatted to while she was pregnant that she has passed away, and I am just rocked completely. I knew she was unwell, and have been waiting anxiously, praying and hoping that she would magically appear on messenger... I'm feeling very very sad, and very very thankful...and if Aston keeps me awake all night I don't care! every single minute is precious...
it was so good to get out aswell!!! im going out next saturday night for my cousins birthday and im staying up in perth for the night..should be good and im sure DP will be fine!! will be the first time away from them both
Vicky - i just look at Emelia and think wow im so lucky, its so sad to think that some ppl dont get the chance to be a mother..just heartbreaking
Dont know whats up with Emelia she hasnt slept yet and she has been awake for 4 1/2 hours, she wouldnt eat her solids tonight, think that other tooth is on its way! praying we have a good night
OMG we had another shocker of a night. dh kicked me out onto the couch to get some sleep. evie just isnt sleeping at all, shell doze for a minute then be wide awake. nothing gets her to sleep and she just tosses and turns. IS it normal for babies to be this unsettled after needles? she had them on friday. im kinda beginning to worry
TARA i would get in contact with your doctor, even if it's just for reassurance, she may well be having an adverse reaction to the needles, you poor things have you tried her on nurofen?
ETA just realised your up and on line too this early hour of the morning!!!!!!!!

Tara - Aston was worse this time around with his needles I had to dose him with nurofen, and then panadol. We had three really bad nights, where I was up and down, and he was awake and crying, then things settled down. he was very sore around his legs as well. but I agree with AJP, if she is still bad today, it won't hurt to take her to the doctor.
shes sorta back to normal during the day (excepts for nap times) but thats 3 nights now. she has barely a mark where the needles were and usually they dont bother her but she gets welts at the injection sites. so like aston, shes really reacted differently this time. maybe i should try some nurofen.
i was also going to start back on solids but i dont think thats a good idea at the mo

Tara - Ella was also a bit more unsettled with the 6 month shots. I would contact the GP just for peace of mind. Ella still has little jab marks from the needle (and that was 1 month ago)
One of the babies from mother's group had his last Friday and he is up and down a lot too. Maybe its a combination of shots, solids and the 6 month milestone changes.
Thanks for that Ann. she's actually getting better and better as the day goes on. she's definately a lot happier and she's even had 2 naps with no grizzles. If tonight is just as bad then I'll go to the doctor tomorrow. Vicky said Aston had 3 bad nights - which is how many we've had now, so we'll see how tonight goes. But i definately dont have that yucky gut feeling about it anymore, which i guess means something!
hi tara, glad evie is feeling better. hope it continues.
its a beautiful day here today, after all the rain yesterday, went down to the river in Noosa, and had morning tea with some mums and bubs this morning. now tryng to catch up on house work. blah
Its beautiful here!!! I just took both kids on a mangrove walk in the pram on the bay. Matilda had to stay home sick today and both were just going crazy so I took them outside. Unfortunately the mosi's were out in force and I copped it.
Jovie's not sleeping again during the days & its really frustrating. I put off eating until I think I'll get a break & it doesn't happen.
Vicky, I'm so sorry I didn't acknowledge your post about the passing of your BB friend. it's so tragic. i have been thinking of her and praying for her family. i hope you're okay
I hope you have better luck with your needles than we did Kim. We're just getting back to normal now. Yikes!
I was going to start Evie on potato as her first real 'solid' since the rice cereal was such a disaster. Do you guys think thats an okay vege to start with? I thought it would be good cos it's quite plain and someone had said to me not to start with fruit otherwise she might get used to the sweet taste and not want to move onto vegies....
