    Hi all,

I am pretty excited. Logan has started sleeping with only one feed during the night. It makes life so much easier. Last night it was sleep at 9, then feed at 2 and 6 Not much to report here - what are you guys buying your bubs for christmas? For those of you having your first are you going to get presents from Santa? I don't plan on getting much stuff just a couple of things that he needs such as a little sunsuit for the beach and a mobile for his cot.

Hope everyone is out enjoying this lovely day.

That's great Starry but not so good on the infection hun. Are you in pain with it all???? Off to check your thread about Ovestin - funny we both had our checks and the same script on the same day!

Leigh - It definitely does make a difference getting a good rest doesn't it.

I'm so excited James loves his cot! Whoo hoo! I will still sleep him in the hammock overnight but he loves the mobile and is safe from Izzy which is nice so I can leave him there while I'm getting dinner etc on without worrying about her smothering him constantly! Speaking of dinner Im off! Have a great night!

as for Chrissy presents for Bianca - i brought her a pink play mat today - i love it - its very pink - and since i thought Peanuts was going to be a boy we don't have much pink stuff besides clothes now! also i have brought her a book - a father and daughter book so when she is abit older, daddy can read it to her everynight!

Hollye - thanks for looking for the outfit - i actually saw it today and decided it didnt look as cute as i originally thought! so no chrissy outfit for B this year!

Starry - wow Jacob is growing!!!!! and fast!!!! whats tongue tie tho?
not good about ur infection tho - did u know that something was up?

well B and i had a BIG day today shopping all day than her 6wk check up!
My little girl now weighs 5kgs!!!!!! 57cm long and head circumferance is 37.5!!!!

hey hj, tongue tie is when the little bit of skin under the tongue (frenum) that joins it to the bottom of the mouth is too tight, so Jacob can only just poke his tongue out, barely past his lips, it hasnt really affected his ability to feed, which can be a problem with it, but I think he comes off the breast a lot and seems to lose suction, so he takes in quite a bit of air which gives him a lot of wind. so I need to find a gp quicksmart to get a referall to have it snipped, cos the earlier its done the better, he also needs to have the rest of his checkup done (heart and lungs etc)
I cant believe how much he has grown!

kylie- i am sooo slack, i havent even started doing xmas shopping yet! bub doesnt really need anything, we were extremely spoilt at the baby shower and when he was born by all the family and friends, I shudder to think of how much stuff we will be packing into thecar to come home with us after xmasday! so we might just get him a token something or other.....

tan- that is funny! you know we had the biggest babys too!
The infections not too bad, theantibiotics are more of a precaution than anything, was having a bit of offensive discharge and still bleeding, coupled with the dodgy ultrasound (lining of uterus looking a bit suss) so the doc said better be safe than sorry.
im really dodgy on using that cream, sounds like others havent had any probs but still...

hollye- my god youre organised! wish i was! dp went and had some pics developed today of Jacob, so we could pick a few to put on the xmas cards, he ended up getting one of jacob smiing blown up really big, its soo cute.

ohh, almost forgot....the nurse also said j still has a bit of jaundice, need to see the doc about that too, its funny cos he was borderline having to have phototherapy and they decided he didnt need it, but to still be having it now?? maybe i just need to get him out in the sun or something.

have a good night girls and bubs!!

    Hi Everyone,
Olive is also growing rapidly, she now weighs 5.5kgs and is 59cms long. Another half a kilo and 2cms in a fortnight. Well I went to see a LC today as i'm still in pain breastfeeding after 8 weeks. She has referred me back to the doctor as she thinks that I have thrush on my nipples and need to go back on medication for this which sucks cause i've just had 3 courses of antibiotics for a staph infection in the nipples. The cracks just won't heal. And while Olive's attachment is good and she sucks well apparently she has a high arch in her palette which is causing the nipple to become pinched. Unfortunatly there is not much she can suggest to fix this except trying other positions and trying to get more breast in Olive's mouth. Oh well perservered for this long so hopefully I will eventually have pain free breastfeeding. See what the doc says tomorrow.
I am getting Olive an infant swing for xmas and a baby bangle but other then that she pretty much has everything and due to being the first grandchild on my husbands side and having 3 sets of great grandparents will get spoiled rotton. Her swing is from 'Santa' although my husband is a bit anti santa so I'll make the most of it while she's young.
I have decided to get Olive immunised after much deliberation but don't know if i'll be able to go with her for the needles. My husband or mum are going to go in with her. I'll give her a big feed before hand and wait outside. I feel like crying at the though of it and DH's not much better!
Hope you all have a good night.
