1stbub- At my hospital, they ran phsyio classes you could go to before being discharged and they check your tummy for separation. Basically a 1-2 cms is classed as normal but sometimes the muscles separate more than that and take alot or work to get back together. I have had to be careful and should do more exercise to repair mine which is 6 cms. 2 pregnancies too close together and I wasn't careful about lifting Izzy etc while pregnant. That is great that Liam is self settling! Took me a while but I finally realised James was doing it too - little grunts and strains before he drifts off! I turned off the monitor and figured I would wake up when he cries which I do!
Amanda - Hooray for pressies! I have masses of stuff to wrap but it's all just sitting in the laundry hiding from Izzy! I should layby too but I seem to run out of time each year! We have no idea what to get James. He has a set of Peter Rabbit stacking blocks with the alphabet on it and that's it so far from us. I might just buy one more little thing and thats it - he already has a wardrobe full of clothes and boxes of bigger stuff ready to go so I figure everyone else will spoil him!
Hippie - for Banjo self settling and sleeping in his cot! James looks so little in it but I've realised he is already growing up! 8 weeks today -what a big man!! I hate losing posts - its so frustrating.
Olivesmummy - I have no intention of going back this time until possibly mid year and possibly never! I went back part time when Izzy was 8 mths and it was great to get out and talk about something other than babies. I really needed the intellectual stimulation plus it was nice to wear nice clothes and do my make up etc! This time it is different as we 2, plus it affected my breastfeeding with Izzy so I am reluctant to go back too early. I want to feed James for as long as I can so we'll see what happens. We have just bought a new business too! More on that in a sec!!

Hello to Kylie and everyone else I have missed!
Well we had a great night last night - we had a group of friends over for a bbq - yep in Melbourne. Nice weather for it with rain!! Anyway it was nice to just relax and have a few glasses of bubbly but I didn't get to bed til after midnight and Izzy got up at 615! The kids slept well and DH was a riot - he drank more than he has in a few years I think and was so funny! Needless to say he is in bed with a rather sore head right now!
He also banged on to the boys about how when they have kids they should get sleepers! WTF! I told him to stop bragging(as if he or I have anything to do with them sleeping well) and didn't he remember that when all our friends who had bad sleepers for the first few months did start sleeping, that was when Izzy stopped and started waking 2-3 hourly until she was 9 mths old, so I am aware that James could change very quickly at any stage! Poor love has a cold too now courtesy of Isabelle's love... she spreads and shares that snot around the kind girl!
She has been a bit better but it is hard when I am busy doing housework etc because that's when she attacks! I feel bad but James LOVES his cot and mobile so if I can't be with him and keep an eye on her, I will put him in there and he just coos at the mobile and then drifts off when he is tired.
We bought a new business last week too with friends of ours! Well DH and our mate are doing the majority of it but because I am home full time I will do a fair bit as well! I can't go into too much detail about names etc but we sell little chocolates to souvenier shops, airports and anywhere touristy and the packaging and name is quite unique! Im hoping I won't have to go back to teaching next year at all and just focus on this, but I am thinking that I might put Izzy into day care one day a week. She just loves being with other kids.

Yesterday was good. We went to the cemertry and i placed a dozen red roses at his plaque and then we went for a long drive to queenscliff and walked to the end of the huge peir there and released his ashes out to sea. It was fffffrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing but it was good. It brought up alot of emotion but i am glad i went. Mia was FANTASTIC the whole day, didnt give me any trouble at all. once she was in the car for about 6 hours she was getting abit crabby but thats to be expected. I just sat in the back with her. But yesterday i couldnt have asked for a better baby. Even today she has been fantasic. She fed lastnight at 9:30pm and slept till bout 8 this morning and shes alseep now. She still has abit of a cold but im using the ness and panadol to try and knock that on its ass and shes having lotsa nice warm showers with daddy.
I noticed yesterday she is getting a little cradle so lastnight while she was having her bottle i gave her head a goof brush and then a brush with some baby oil and left it on over night. This morning it looks like its all gone, shes just got to have abath to wash it all out.
Santa photos still not ready to be picked up but i picked up her pics from her last photo shoot and they are really cute even tho she screamed through it we still managed to get one sotra smile. Ill scan it and put it on here later.
Man it was cold yesterday.. Melbourne was horrible. so as a result i have come home with a runny nose and a sore throut.. Im taaking some nurofen to try and knock that on its head too before it gets too back and lotsa Vicks.

Aw Hollye it sounds like you had a nice day and wonderful tribute for your dad. I'm glad Mia was such a good girl for you hun and I wish that Melbourne could have turned up the weather - we are going nuts here, it's freezing and pouring today - it hasn't stopped in a bout 24 hours - great for the drought but far out. It's meant to be summer ffs. Everyone here have colds too except me touch wood. Hope you and Mia get well soon.
Hey all - Bianca had another good night last night - bed at 2230 and awake at 0500! so i think things are starting to settle!
She also has a regular nap time during the day which for 2 days has been 1300-1600 (thats if we are home) she has gone down today at 1330 so will be interesting to see what time she wakes up!
Also she is such a good girl when we go out - went out too dinner last night with her and hardly heard a peep out of her - except for when our food arrived she decided to want her dinner also (an hr early) so no guessing who's dinner went cold while she feed Bianca!!! hahaha the joys of motherhood!
Hollye - im so glad all went well yesterday! and my gosh what a big sleep she is having! she's becoming a big girl too now!
Tan - your poor DH - that will teach him! LOL!!!! and congrats on buying a buisness - thats a pretty big thing! hope all goes well with it!
1stBub27 - thanks for looking for the outfit - i found one the other day and decided that im not much of a fan of it anyway! we have heaps of the boy ones if u want me to send u one - but sounds like u have a nicer one anyway!
hippiemummy - i survived grocery shopping with B - she is such a good girl - and loves shopping just like her mummy - so i think we are going to get along just fine when she grows up! hahaha
And by the sounds of it all our bubs are changing and settling better - Yeah for Banjo!!!
