HJ - As Amanda had mentioned elevate her bed and of that doesnt work if you have a good rocker maybe let her sleep in that to help relieve her or even the pram with the seat tilted up a little bit, not laying completely down. Also use fess, either the spray or the drops as well as the nasal pump to help clear her nose. Also get some Vicks baby balsam and put it on her chest, back and her feet. I have also been using a spray called Medic (from the makers of lempsip) you spray it in the room, I use it more thru the day in the lounge room and dont spray too much of it as it can be a bit strong. I have been using through the night Sudaclear Vapour plugs which help alot. Vicks used to have one similar but no longer make it apparently. Or something else if you prefer not to use the plug ins get a vaporiser and the oils for it and have that on thru the night. The vaporisers are also very good. If you are really concerned about her take her to the DR and let them check her out. Let us know how she is doing. HUgs... Also should mention some baby panadol which you can use for colds and flu symptoms can help too.
Have only just read that she doesnt like fess if you are using the spray try the drops it does help. Also if she is a bit hot give her a bath and see if that helps also if you steam up the bathroom before you give her a bath can help too to clear her.
Hollye im sooo tired (already) and B is just really sooky and miserable - she isnt handling it well at all! she is hardly eating (drinking), and still hasnt slept its going to be another loooooong night!
On the brighter side of things tho - B had her 4mth check up today and her stats are:
Weight - 6.8kgs...... was when born 3.3kgs
Length - 63cm........ was when born 48cm
Head - 41.5cm........ was when born 33cm
So all is well - the nurse said she was also very strong, alert and active for her age?!
so i guess all the tummy time, playing, singing, painting, teaching how to crawl (hahahah) etc is paying off!
Hollye I forgot to answer you about the exercises, whenever I pick him up I have to roll him onto his left side and raise him up that way so that he straightens his head, I also have to hold him on my left arm with his head resting on my forearm and straighten his head and gently hold his shoulder down.
HJ I hope that little Miss B gets better soon. She's doing so well.
I thought that I would put up Julian's stats:
Weight 6.8kgs ........ 3.5kgs birth
Lenght 62cm .......... 50cm birth
Head Circ 41cm ....... 33cm birth
I think that I've got mastitis again in my left breast or at least a blocked duct, it's soo sore, has been since Monday. I think because of his torticollis he doesn't feed as effiently from that side.
