And just wanted too say that thanks for all your advice on BFing - but after a stressful and painful night last night i have given up on it! Im trying expressing instead - It really gets me down but i just cant do it - when too the shops today for the first time with Bianca - and went in the parents room too feed her and all the other ladies in there were breastfeeding - made me feel soooo bad and i felt like i was being watched - but i just cant do it! I feel like i have failed her already - its only been a week - but what else can i do?
u havent failed in anyway! u are a great mum and u are doing what is best for your sanity and your baby girl. I know its hard sweety and i really know what ur going through as im finding it hell hard aswell and it ****es me off and im always upset coz i just think why cant i do it like everyone else does! its such a struggle. Expressing fulltime hun is hard work also but give it a go. Dont worry about what other people think, this is YOUR baby and YOUR decision what you want to do. Dont you worry im about over the BFing and expressing and formula fulltime is looking great to me.

I have been flat out expressing today - have done one bottle with formula - just while i can get my stock up! its hard work!
Does anyone know if expressing will dry up my milk? i was going to express for awhile and maybe give bfeeding another go once my nipples have healed - but im prepared for the fact that it still wont work - exspecially after she has been using a bottle!
Whats the go with the fact that apparently bfeeding and expressing shrinks ur uterus? what will happen if i stop all together? does my uterus not shrink? do i need to let a doctor know if i stop all together?

I bought DD up on S26 Gold and DS went onto it when he stopped breast feeding!!! Best of luck hun!!!!!! Yes your uterus still shrinks but not as fast!!! I never had any problems and I expressed with DD for 8weeks!!!!

Sorry to hear you've got night monkeys!!!! I've been lucky for the last 2 nights Hayden has slept for 6 hours then feed and gone back to sleep for another 4!!! I'm thinking that he'll change his routine tho so lapping it up while it happens!!!
HJ - your uterus will still shrink no matter what u do. Atm Mia is on Karicare GOLD but im thinking of going back to s26 as thats what she was on in the hospital and it seemed to sit better with her tummy.. im not sure tho.
Snoop - dont go into the november thread, stay in here. U only missed out by a couple of days, it wont make much difference and it seems your bubs always gonna be the oldest anyway so just stay in here with us ok! u boy is gorgeous btw hugs xoxoxo
well Mia just had another check up. She has put on 120grams in 5 days. So she is now at 3700 grams. The weight gain isnt as good as it was when she was on more formula but atleast its a gain right?! so shes now classed as being 8lb 2oz.
