Georgi - Yay on BJ crawling. :) M gets up on her hands and knees and rocks but is still commando crawling. She is getting all over the house now that way.
belfie - Lucky you checked your BSL and got checked out by the DRs. Hopefully it won't get any worse. And that's great that X's face is clearing. :) My DH doesn't get man flu. He'll keep going no matter what and rarely gets sick. On the odd occasion that he can't get out of bed I know that he really is extremely sick. I think I complain more when I'm sick than he does when he's sick. I guess I'm probably lucky but don't know any different.
teru - Hello! How have you been?
For a little while now I have had M in cloth during the day and sposies at night. :) I finally got enough nappies so that I can do it. :) Though sometimes I put her in a sposie when going out during the day too.
Anyway, gotta go.. M beckons.
Teru - his new cream is Advantan Fatty Ointment. Rude of our paed to call X a fatty hey  and it is working wonders. Previously had Celestone-M.
Tanya - that's good that your DH doesn't get man-flu. Mine used to, but he's getting better.
hi tanya- we've been good, monsta's face is way better than it was but there are still times when the eczema would flare up. he's now a troublemaker of all sorts.
* he loves to bang whatever he has in his hands on surfaces which is damn noisy i must add
* he crawls everywhere that hes not suppose to
* puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. oh and lately he's been making himself chuck by sticking his fingers in his mouth
besides running after my little Monsta, im sending myself broke with more nappy-buying. Starting to sew, so hopefully that will keep my nappy-buying slightly at bay LOL
OH and to the Melb mummies...im organising a meetup later this month for another forum @ monkey mania which you are welcome to come! (i should post in the meetup section of this forum later too)
off to clean the kitchen...ive made a grand mess this morning
eta:
belfie- advantan works wonder hey?! it did for us too! paed said only use it for 1 wk though so we're back on elocon (sp?) now
oh that's interesting! He just gave us advantan - mentioned the elocon but didn't give it. And we're reviewing in a few months... but no limit on use... in fact he just kept telling me to use it heaps! (but in that "strong cream sparingly but heaps kinda way" lol)
i've run around all morning cleaning up cos i thought a friend & her bub was coming over. So now she's cancelled and my house is clean! kinda works really lol
Oh and X has decided to sleep on his tummy - done it twice so far today and the first nap was a great one... seems happier mebbe.
hmmm not too sure then...elocon is a non-steroid cream
we were prescribed that by a gp. i stopped using any cream on him prior to the paed cos nothing was working. when we went to the paed she asked us abt diff creams and how long we've been using. when i told her i only used the elocon for 1wk she was shocked as its a slow-working cream so shouldve used it for 6wks haha. Oh, not to mention she was shocked by the range of diff creams we owned. she was like 'you have everything!!' LOL
forgot, we were only told to use advantan twice a day strictly for one week but if it gets worst again use it
oh geez how frustrating for you! Yeah we just had the two creams before this - Celestone-M for body/head and Derm-Aid for face. His face has never been that bad though, more the body - all the skin folds, legs etc. He's very good at scratching behind his knees with his toes. Plus we have to moisturise him head to toe every change again with Dermeze. We were doing it, but had gotten a bit slack. It's hard in winter too!
guess we had it bit easier than u as monsta only has bad eczema on his face, the rest of the body was nowhere near as bad. ive gotten slack too, but its much easier putting sorbolene on his face than the body!
Belfie- just realised the cream I was talking of is ELIDEL not elocon. Elocon is very similar to advantan.
Monsta been grumpy as of late, scratching. So been giving him zyrtec.
Is it just our baby that hasn't got teeth??
Been like an infirmary here :( - and we are going to Blue Mountains until the end of the week tomorrow ... take care xxxx
SamiH - oooh :( hope you all get better soon  and have a nice time away.
Teru - did your paed or gp prescribe the zyrtec? My gp wouldn't do it, but my paed did. Haven't had to use it much tho thank goodness. It's awful when they're itchy isn't it.
All good here. Have just delayed going back to work by about a month - I'll go back few days after X's first birthday... yay! So I'm feeling a very lucky mumma to be able to do that. Means I can keep expressing a lot more easily too... so um yeah... back to the pumps for me! Otherwise good. X is nearly nearly nearly nearly crawling.... but not quite. As soon as he sees something he wants, he flops back to his tummy lol. But he goes backwards quite nicely
sami- have fun time away!
belfie- the paed prescribed it, didnt occur to the gp to prescribe it...we were told to give him 0.5ml if he needs it. i hate watching him scratch :( yay for delaying work, ive delayed mine too! was thinking of going back august, but decided to stay another month at home (even though i'd only be working 2 days but still!)
im off to do some sewing before the monsta wakes up! bbl
teru - Sounds like D is the same as M - banging on everything, crawling everywhere and putting everything in her mouth. I am constantly watching her eat fluff/dirt/rubbish off the floor. Oh and she even licks the floor too. And M doesn't have any teeth yet either really. She has one back tooth poking out a little bit, but it has never come all the way out. I can see all her teeth sitting under the gums, but I've given up checking for them. Then again I think I am happy that she has no teeth yet cos then she has no teeth to bite me with. ;)
Sami - I hope everyone gets well before your trip away. Have a great time!
belfie - That's great that your work are letting you have some more maternity leave. :) Oh yay on X almost crawling. :)
I had a very nice weekend. Went to the Kmart toy sale and first time I am organised and have already bought my niece's an Xmas pressie. Also bought M a walker/rider thingy for when she starts standing.
teru - I was exactly the same - gonna go back 2 days. I'm thrilled I've got a bit longer now.
Tanya - everyone keeps telling me he's just about to crawl... but he's been "just about to" for a month now!
well we have 6 teeth now :o think I should start calling him Little Fang! We're doing good otherwise. He's soooooo much more settled & happy now he's not as itchy, it's heaven!
How's everyone else doing? It's been quiet in here!
Yes it is very quiet in here. Where are you all?? Come back!
belfie - Wow.. 6 teeth now. Everyone keeps telling me M's teeth are just about to pop out for months now - so I know what you mean. I've stopped even looking for them now. That's great that X isn't as itchy now. :)
I went to another toy sale and bought M more toys. She is getting all over the house now. Sometimes I just wanna sit down in one place but she wants to explore the house so I have to follow her around.
well we have 5 teefies now :) and a very unsettled little man!!!! crying himself to sleep!!!! and waking afew times a night...early hours though then goes off to sleep for the entire night...and awake at about 6am :( never a sleep in in this house :(
standing ALL the time now and letting go...getting braver :)
I'm wondering if BJ is getting another tooth. He's drooling real bad and has been for days
He's growing up too fast.... He's starting to pull himself up to stand, he gives kisses if you ask for one (but it is mainly tongue) and just today, he started clapping his hands when we request. It's very cute too cause sometimes he can't actually connect his two hands. Too funny
He's finally at peace with the bottle, though he rarely will drink the whole lot. They are only 170mls
Not much else happening really.
HI all,
I hope al is going well with your darling little bubs. V is doing well and is so os os much better. She is cheeky as ever which is lovely to see. She has been alittle unsettled the past couple of nights waking up thru the night crying. Ohh and she has 6teeth.
We have a bit of a way to go in relation to her weight, especially since she lost so much while in hospital but I am hoping it wont take to long for the weight to come back on. She is back to eating solids, I believe she missed them. hehehe. I dont blame her. She is still a nosey parker and has to watch everyone around her, she also paid close attention to the Dr's and Nurses around her in hospital. If they got to close she would cry, but if they kept their distance she would make sure it stayed that way by watching every move they made.
Actually by the end of her stay in hospital she would cry once the nurses etc came to check her but once they moved away from her would give out this giggle. So cute and the nurses couldnt get over it.
I have several photos of her throughout her progress to getting better and some I wanted to put in the pic gallery, but have been unable to upload them. Is anyone else having trouble uploading pics?
Georgi - Thankyou for all your support and all the posting for Olivia's progress to everyone on here. I am so happy to here BJ is taking to the bottle well now, and is trying to stand how wonderful. Ohh the clapping sounds adorable. V has no interest at doing much of anything except for trying to play with the keys on the pc keyboard :) So I guess a few steps back, so hoping for a few steps forward soon. hugs
