im abit lost... Mia let me sleep in till 7:30 this morning..back down at 8:30 and is still alseep..
house work is done.. hrrmmm what to do what to do. She was abit "devilish" yesterday and lastnight. Dribbling heaps and rubbing her head something chronic, so i think the teething syptoms have started. Its abit early for that but im sure every bub is different. Apart from that her stuffy nose seems to be getting a little better! woot woot!

She gets weighed today and stuff so that will be good.

anyhoo i might go.. um.. for a jog? lol yeh right! me.... a jog! bahahahahahaa!

    Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy your first Christmas with your little ones! Hope you all have a great day.

I'm off to Geelong soon to spend Xmas with the in-laws. We'll be back tomorrow night sometime.

Ohh.. Maya giggled for the first time yesterday!! It was soooo cute!! And totally melted my heart. She still won't drink from a bottle though!

    hey girls!!!

well im back from mia's appointment. When i told her that Mia was only having 4 bottles (most days) and was only downing on average 120-140 mls, she wasnt impressed. What am i meant to do, force her to feed? i dont think so!!! ANyhooo. she got weighed and she has put on 480 grams in 2 weeks.. so the 4 bottles musnt be too bad!!! so she is now 5.2 kilos, 55cm long and hc 39cm. Mia also favours putting her head to the right side so we have to try and encourage her to put it to the left, and prob have to go see a phisio for it.

Anyhooo all else is good.. off to put her to bed... mwah!

hollye...THAT makes me feel 100 times better knowing it just isn't Jack!!!!

I have just pulled the cot apart (in my room it is a dust collector!!) and taken the side off to try and get little man to sleep in there at night..it is right up beside my side of the bed...he is right now in there (was in the pram) and is propped up on a boomerang pillow and wrapped up tight...sound asleep.

Does Mia have any other form of fluid? are you BF?

no booby milk here! When we got back from her appointment i gave her some cold water in her bottle and she had about 10 mls of it. Its good to give fully FF bubs some water every now and then, keeps them hydrayted. Also u know how their head isnt closed yet.. if u feel that spot and its a little sunken in that means they are dehydrated. Also giving them water helps soften their poo's and makes it easier for them to poo.

i will figure a way to get out of bed!!! i just need a better sleep at night....
he won't give water a go.... i am just offering more frequent FF...our paed said to put a lil bit of sugar of glucose syrup in the water to encourage drinking...

you can also see if they are dehydrated by doing a touch test on their toes..
they are pink right?? push the fatty bit on the toe til it goes white..then remove your finger.. if it takes ages to go back to pink they are dehydrated..if it goes back super fast they aren't dehydrated

    Merry Christmas!!
I hope all the mammas, bubbas and their families have a wonderful day tomorrow. I am sure there will be chaos in more than one home! But I am going to try and take a few moments to just soak in Bethany's first Christmas and no matter what is under that tree she is the best gift of all!! (Although I'd better get some of the stuff on my list!!)

And thank you ladies for the gift of your friendship and support, it can't be wrapped or put under the tree but it means so much!!

Merry Christmas again from our family to yours!!
