Nicole is there anything I can do for you at the moment? I would take Chantelle of your hands for a couple hours if you wanted a sleep, once she is over the gastro. I am home every wedensday and only a phone call away
I have only had 2 nights of terrible sleep and I was a B**** I cant imagine how I would cope with the length of non sleep you have had.
Linda I am sorry you also are not getting good sleep.
We need to have a word to these Oct bubs and get them sleeping again

I run off some video of Jordan today and finally transfered it onto VHS. I didnt want to chance loosing it. I havent commented on the date though so some of it I have no idea what age he is. Stupid me. I think i will have to get it out more often as there are major gaps in the video

Hope you are having a nice afternoon. I should go and eat lunch.....so hungry

    Hi!

Well we've had 3 good nights now. Poor Louis was so tired though and I think thats why he's waking for a bit of a cry in the first couple of hours but he's been sleeping through until around 6-7am. DH had the day off today and gave me another sleep in so that was great but I've been flat out with work - grrrr.

My sister is going to look after Louis for me on Tuesdays after the holidays so I can go back to teaching for a couple of hours. I wasn't going to but it would be handy for the extra $$. We need all we can get at the moment and it's only a couple of hours. It's just with all the paperwork I feel so busy sometimes.

Louis had his check up today and all is well. He's still on the 25th percentile for weight and height so he is little but in perfect proportion. He weighs 8.2kg now! She was happy with how he's going and said she wouldn't be surprised if he's walking when we come back at 10months!! I hope not !! hehe. Also some of the things he's doing is at 12m level so thats cool - he has a pincer grip (??) and can point at noses hehehe. Anyway, enough of my being a silly mum....

Tracey - I'm so upset with the nominations!! I voted to save Jamie and Katie and evict David. He's spoiling all the fun with his maturity - hehehe.
Sorry you had a bad day with Jorday. Good luck at the specialist I hope he's all ok. I dont' envy you on the pap smear. I had mine at my 6w check up as I figured they would already be down there - hehe.
I love watching Louis' video. It's hard to remember them when they were so small! I feel like I wished it away a little because I so didn't know what I was doing. At least I get to have another try - hehe.

Linda - I'm sorry your having a bad time of it - I know exactly how you feel. I think you'll come to the end of your tether and that's when cc can really work. I know you don't want to do it and neither did I and I honestly couldn't believe it would be the only solution but with it working so well with Louis I just don't know anymore. I always used to wonder the same about what was wrong - but with Louis at least - there must be nothing wrong and he can sleep through if he wants. I think he was just so used to us coming in all the time. We just left him 5min at a time and it still took a few days but it really has worked. The worst time it took 30min and after that it quickly reduced down to 10min then just once at 5min. Now he's sleeping through. Just tell me to shut up if you don't want to hear it....

Kerrie - Poor Jess! I hope she's feeling a bit better now the poor little thing.

Kell - It must be a relief that the Il's are gone -hehe. Yep - sometimes dh's just need a stern word - hehe.

Nikki - I'm so sorry to hear that Chantelle has been sick as well. I bet you're so tired I hope she's feeling better soon.

    OK - sweet dreams everyone!

Kristie - no, don't shut up. I want to hear everyone's experiences to help me make decisions. That said, I'm really not ready to do cc. Maybe one day, but not yet. We had a better night last night. Up at 1:30, then 4am. I went to bed at 9pm too & that helped heaps!

Tracey - we've just transferred Emma's video too, can't wait to watch it!

Lots of work on here too ATM, sometimes it's what keeps me sane, other times it drives me insane....

    Hey!
Linda - Maybe thats the trick for now, just go to bed early and nap (time permitting haha) thru the day. You really need to get some good sleep, sleep deprivation is the worst form of torture
Kristie - Sounds like Louis is doing great! We have Will's check up tomorrow... That few hours on Tuesday should be good, not just for the $$ either (which is always handy ) but you will get some time to miss Louis which I think is good too
Tracey - I have not transferred any of Will's video yet, i was so organised with Molly I dated it and made a dvd with music and everything. Now poor Will's footage is still on little DV tapes - bad mummy LOL.

I was putting the kids in the car yesterday to go shopping and realised the in laws had not taken Molly's booster seat out of their car! So now i dont have a seat for her, they want to catch the train to Mt Vic tomorrow to return it, i will have to drive 1/2 hr to meet them - what a pain in the a$$!!
    Have a nice Wednesday...

    Hi!

Linda - I totally understand! Good for you for having an early night - it often does make all the difference. I completely agree with you on the work situation!

Well, I'm off to mothers group this morning...will be good to catch up with the girls and their bubbas.

I got a free library bag and book with my mchn check up and it has reading sessions at the library for 0-12m olds. Has anyone been along to these? I thought I might try it out....

    hi everyone.
tracey thanks for the offer,i hope you dont mind but i just might take you up on your offer one day soon,i dont have any sisters or mum or mil so i struggle at times cos i have no one to help me when i just need a spare minute to pull myself together and breath...thanks mate
chantelle was really unwell yesterday, she cried all day and was clearly sick, she vomited on and off all day,at 8.30 i took her to the dr and she has a virus, she has a nasty reash all over her torso but that comes with the virus, they cant give her anything to help.lots of panadol and cuddles...she had a better night, she slept with me,dh took the couch.she woke alot during the night but settled very easily every time with booby so i actually feel pretty good.we have free tickets to the legends game tonight so i am taking the boys and one of there friends,i actually dont feel like going but i will just to get a break from c and the house.we will start cc when chantelle is feeling better in a couple of days time.
    have a nice day everyone

Nikki - glad the night went OK. I think just putting them in with you with boobies on tap can be what saves your sanity sometimes - I know it does for me.

Kristie - the library thing sounds great! I don't think they have it here, but I would go for sure, even just for something different to do.

Kell - how frustrating about the seat!! ggrrrr!!

Emma went so well at creche today! Yay! She has been really unsettled there lately but today she had a ball.

Oh - I can't believe I nearly forgot - Emma has started commando crawling!! She doesn't get very far yet, but lunges forward to get toys! OMG - I'm sure it won't be long until she is fully mobile!

    Hi!

Nikki - Poor Chantelle that sounds awful. You are very good braving the cold tonight to go to the footy! It might be good for a change of scenery though....

Wow Linda - I wonder if she's been a little more unsettled with all this learning she's getting up to?? That's great that she went well at creche today!
Yeah I will give the reading session a go although I'll wait until after the school holidays I think...

Yeah, I'm hoping that's what it's all been about. Wonder Weeks says that's what happens - then as they master whatever it is, they are suddenly much more settled.

Emma's favourite thing ATM is to go shopping & sit in the trolley. She has only been sitting in it for about a week or 2. But I have discovered that if she is grumpy & nothing works - going shopping does - every time (touch wood!). So we have just come home from shopping....again. If only I had a fortune to spend each time!

I envy u linda. Kat's at the stage where she wants to walk on her own and do everything she's not meant to when we go shopping. Jess is just happy to watch everything. So it's sooo hard for me to go out by myself with the kids...
It's good that you've found something to cheer Em up tho...

Linda - wow on the commando crawling. what a little cutie. WHat a big girl to be sitting up in the trolley.
Kerrie - I can only imagine how difficult it would be to take 2 babies shopping.
Kristie - hope that mothers group went well today.
Nicole - sorry to hear Chantelle isnt better, atleast you know what it is though. I wouldnt have offered to take Chantelle for a couple hours if it wasnt ok. If you need an hour or so to do shopping then I am more than happy to help you out. We gotta stick together us mums.
Today I went to DFO with 2 of my mates and their bubs. It was nice to get out of the house. I didnt buy anything apart from lunch which was fine with me. Jordan has acat nap in his pram and was really happy to watch everything that was going on.
As weird as this sounds, it was the 1st time I BF in public. Normally he is fed at home or someones house. I have never needed to do it out before. He got of a couple of times to watch people walking past so I was expsed for a bit but no one seemed to notice, I think anyways
I have put him to bed as he has only had about 1 hrs sleep all day so he should be knackered. Hopefully he will get atleast another hour in so I can start dinner.

    Night all

Nikki - i hope C is feeling better soon, sounds the poor little tike is suffering
Linda - It wont be long and she will be on the go so fast, it is the best workout chasing after kids LOL Will likes the trolley too, i just bought one of those clean shopper things, that cover the whole area the child sits in. it stops spreading germs and also has pockets for dummies etc, and colourful pictures etc..
Kerrie - I sooo know what you mean about taking the kids shopping, tho Molly is older than Kat and so she behaves (most of the time ). I give Molly her own shopping list so she has something to distract her from being naughty LOL
Tracey - Good for you BF in public, i am really shy and would never do it, but i absolutely hate the people who say women shouldnt be able to so you go girl LOL!

Question - how much are bubs eating? Will has started getting grizzly around 4-5ish, just b4 his dinner, and i think it is because he is hungry? He has solid breakky, lunch and dinner with 800ml of formula a day - i dont think i can fit much more food in there?!

Kell - where did you get the clean shopper from? I have seen one or 2 around - they are great! How long do you think until she will be going fast? Emma has 3 solids meals a day, occasionally with a snack as well (more because of convenience than anything). could you bring his dinner forward at all?

Tracey - wow on the first time bf in public - you did well then!

Kerrie - I can't even imagine shopping with 2! I don't know how you do it!

Well DH is going to watch the origin with some friends tonight - & guess what - he's taking Emma!! I've got a night to myself!!! WWOOOHHHOOOOO!!! I have work to do, but I don't mind at all. It will still be relaxing!

Linda - Love the picture of Emma. What a little angel lol.

Kell - Benjamin get's grizzly around 5 - 6 pm just before dinner too. He eat's everything I give him then some. I've taken to giving him breakfast, then a mid morning snack, then lunch, then an afternoon snack, then dinner. He still wakes at night 2-3 times for a boob snack, and has 2 boob snacks through the day also + his longer boob feeds 1 in the morning and 1 before bed. I suppose, that's what you get when they're growing boys..lol.

Wow Melissa, I am sooooo envious of Bejamin's excellent eating regime! I might have to get you and B to give darling Gus some tips. We are absolutely struggling to get him to have any solids at all! Aghhhhh, what's your secret?

Linda, Wow! Commando crawling! How exciting for you. Hope you catch this early stage on video! Emma looks like an absolute cherub in your ticker. I also love the pics in your website. How did you get into photography? Emma's lucky having such a talented mummy! Hmm photos... wish I had a bit more talent in that area! We've been having lots of fun doing Gus' website. Makes it so much easier to see Gus' changes when they are organised into age ranges. Will now have to get organised and go through our many digital images (seems like we have thousands!!!) and print the best ones to put into albums. Tis so easy to keep putting it off. Must do it before he turns 1!

Kell, We won't be any help to you on the eating front. We have a problem but at the other end of the scale. Gus has a real aversion to food. Tis driving me crazy. I offer Gus food three times a day and he probably only eats more than one mouthful about every three days or so, (if I'm lucky!). BTW, Great idea to give Molly her own shopping list. Will have to keep that idea in mind for when I'm shopping with nieces and nephews plus Mr Gus-man.

Tracey, Sounds like you had a nice day shopping. Good on you BF-ing Jordan in public. Must be getting a bit more tricky to keep discrete now that he's so much older and longer. Just re-read your post re Jordan's eyes. That's a concern for you. Keep us in the loop with what the specialist says.

Nikki, How was your time at the footy with the boys? Did you enjoy yourself? Hope Chantelle is feeling a LOT better today. How are you this week?

Kristie, Your library sounds fab. Don't think the two closest to me have anything like that for the 0-12m age range. Sounds like a lovely thing to do. Must have been nice to hear from the MFH nurse that Louis is doing so well. Wow walking at 10m - that would be exciting & daunting. he ha! Also lovely to hear he's ahead in a few areas. Clever bubba!

Kerrie, How is Jess feeling now? Is she all recovered? That's a looong time to have a gastro virus. Poor little munchkin. How exciting that you settle on your property in a few days. Are you super busy getting everything packed? Have you got anyone to help - even if it's just taking the girls for a while so you can get organised without them to think about?

Hi to everyone I've missed. Hope you're all having a great week. I'm off to my weekly mum's and bub's pilates class today. I'm looking forward to it. I meet up with a couple of other mothers before the class for a cuppa and it's nice to have a gassbag. Has been a busy week with Gus' apppointments so I need some "me" time. xx

Linda and Melissa - what do you give as snacks? Just toast or something? I thought about bringing his dinner forward (he eats solids about 5.30 and bottle 6) but then I am worried he will get hungrier earlier and wake up ( he sleeps until 6.30 now).

Linda - Now that she has got the hang of commando crawling I think she will be off within a week or two! They can actually get really fast commando crawling, and also now she will not be far off 'proper' crawling. Molly was crawling really fast b4 i knew it, you think it will take them longer than it actually does I got the clean shopper at babies galore, they have a website if you cant get to one, it cost 39.95, but i had 33 credit after buying my pram there b4 Will was born.

I had to take Molly out to the hospital last night! She bumped her head really hard 3 times yesterday, and after the third time i saw a HUGE egg on her head which was bruised etc ( i think it was from the 2nd knock) so i took her to emergency and was there for about an hour. the dr didnt seem to worried, he said to watch for signs of concussion but that eggs were fairly normal and the bruising is actually a good sign. She still has an egg this morning, poor thing

Kirsty - Wow Will is the exact opposite of Gus, he loves his food LOL. Do you think Gus doesnt like the texture of food, or is he just not hungry enough? It must be frustrating when you are trying to get some weight on him Sounds like you have a great day planned, they have nothing like here for mums and bubs, hope you have a good gasbag
