Hello girls...we are home...so exhausted but fun. Ive just had a quick squiz and all the posts but will try and talk more later.
Great website Storm..hes such a cutie!
Fletchie and Georgie that is sooo cool....that must have been such a spin out lol. Oh and i love those toss and throw thingiemingies...i got some a while ago..they are ideal for bubbas.
Welcome Brooke and Charlotte..so nice of you to join us in here.
Hiya Soph, Cass and Louise.
Sorry to be so slack my eyeballs are practically falling out of my head...we did not end up with a huge amount of sleep over the weekend. Sammy loved it and the kids all had so much fun playing with each other.
Gonna go and have a nap with lil boy..bbl
Jo
Hey Girls!
Soph, congrats on officially selling your house! That's good news - although it's understandable that you were a bit teary. Good to hear your trip went ok - except for the car ride up! Does Lucie not like the car/car seat? Josh is doing well, thanks. Still not eating heaps, but I'm trying to take on your relaxed attitude. ;) He's currently sitting on the lounge with his Dad watching the football and seems to be enjoying himself!
Jo, Glad to hear you enjoyed your camping trip! You'll have to tell us all about it.
Fletch & Georgie, how funny that you met in Big W! I'm always amazed by coincidences like that - especially with the number of people who live in Sydney! It's nice that you got to meet, anyway.
Fletch, I'm looking forward to catching up with you too! The meet up should be good fun.
Zane & Kaitlyn, yay for teeth! Well done bubbas!
Cass, yep, the meet up is on the 27th. I'd love a copy of the flyer you mentioned too. I will PM an email address to you.
Cass & Georgie, we're in the middle of the "to wrap or not" decision here too. I don't think Josh particularly enjoys being wrapped, but he has always needed it to get to sleep. He seems ready to make the change though. He is at the point now where he generally gets himself out of the wrap by the end of the night, so I'm just leaving him once he gets out and letting him get used to sleeping with his arms out that way. I've also started wrapping him with one arm out during the day every now and then and he is going ok with that. One other thing I have tried is putting him in a light sleeveless sleeping bag. I zip it up with his arms inside so they feel secure for him to go off to sleep and during his sleep he wriggles his arms out the arm holes and manages to stay asleep with his arms out.
Storm, love Zac's webpage! I can't wait to see some more pics - he's such a sweetie!
Louise, 6.3kg is great. Go Maria! And well done on finding the dress that you wanted, too.
Brooke & Charlotte, welcome! It's great to have another person to chat with. It's sounds like you are really enjoying being a mum. Hopefully we'll be hearing about #2 soon! I look forward to meeting you both at the meet up!
We have had a fairly quiet weekend. DH took Josh out for a couple of hours yesterday so I could have a bit of "me" time - I can't remember the last time it was just me in the house! Josh has decided that he doesn't like vegies any more. He will *not* open his mouth for them. All he likes atm is fruit and yoghurt. I had a quick read of Baby Love though, and she says not to stress about it and to just feed bub something else until they are ready to try vegies again. So fruit and yoghurt it is!
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. Catch up again soon!
Kell - Well done Kell =D> I have found one very understanding restaurant up here so far that you can openly bf your child in. My shock was being asked at one of the clubs here, to feed Benjamin in the ladies loos, I told them I'd rather feed him in my car and they were the ones that acted all offended. I suppose if you come from the darkages and believe that feeding your bub in public is not on and should be done in secret, fine! Me, if my boy wants to eat, he's gonna eat. Your opinion on public bf is spot on. Some people need to come out of the darkages... You still get the ones who say you should bottle it before you come out, that's just more mess to clean up later when you get home.
Melissa
Melissa - I cant believe they actually asked you to go into the toilet!!! :fuming: Thats awful! I'm glad you've found a good restaraunt that you can feed him in now.
Linda - It's like these restauranter's don't think or something! Some restaurants you just want to laugh at when they say the phrase "bring the family" because you know that they aren't equipped for a bub.
We have fantastic parents rooms up here in most of our shopping centres. They have a small play area, children's toilet plus an adults one, disposable nappy machines (incase you forgot to bring your own), changing areas, comfy chairs to feed bub's in, a microwave, even a stainless steel bathing area. They even get in a child's health nurse twice a week, for weigh-in's and advice. You don't even have to push a door open and try and squeeze your pram through, the doors open at a touch of a button.
Someone out there is thinking of us! =D> Just not enough of them :fuming:
Melissa
Hi!
Well, Louis is back to sleeping terribly. Hopefully tonight will be a little better because last night the most he slept in a row was 2hours! grrrr. It seems that he sleeps a bit better when he has smaller sleeps through the day. If he has 4 hours + all up through the day he doesn't sleep well and if has about 3 hours all up he sleeps better....
He's been really good though getting lots of giggles when we tickle him. He's rolliing around to grab toys and wiggling forward a little bit. We're also finally getting some cuddles! Yeah!
Donella - No teeth for Louis yet however I think one of his bottom teeth won't be far off. His little cheeks were a bit pink tonight and his been so grizzly but of course that could mean anything - hehe. Although if you say Dylan has been waking up more maybe it has something to do with it...Thats so exciting - he'll look so cute when it's fully up!!
Congrats on your job!
Kell - What will you study? I'm with you all on the bf debate - I think it shouldn't even be an issue. Do you know I have had kids ask why Louis doesn't have a bottle for his milk because they don't even realise that you can feed him yourself!! (not a dig at ff I just think kids should know...) I have fed in a pub and I feed at peoples houses because I do it modestly - Its not like anyone just sits around with a boob out - hehe. At dhs grandparents they had people over so I went into the br for that but thats about the only time I have. You see more of womens boobs in advertising or on t.v....Linda good point - what did everyone drink when formula/bottles weren't around???? I'm not going to let my bubba scream just because other people are uncomfortable.
Melissa - thats terrible - I would have said nup I'm feeding right here!!! hehehe. Wow on the parents rooms. We have a few ok ones - just the basics but at least they're around!
Linda - It's great watching all the footage isn't it! We haven't taken much lately [-X must do that...
Cindy - We've just got a panasonic - its about 5 years old! I don't think you need to spend too much on them, they're all pretty good now.
Nikki - I'm with you on the love - this is such a great age! I'm sure it just gets better and better also.
I hope you all had a great weekend! Sorry for the epic!
Melissa - the parents rooms sound great up there!!! Wow! Because I'm in a small town with small shopping centres, ours are awful! One has a small area with a shower curtain, a bench to chnage babies nappy on and a sink. The other one is just a small room with a chair
Kristie - I hope Louis sleeps better tonight. You must be really tired right now!
Glad you had a great time camping Jo
Hi Trace!!
Hi Soph glad your back safe & sound!
Hi Cass ooooo a toofie, how clever is Miss Kaitlyn. How is the JJ hunt going?
Hi Fletchie a toofie for Zane too, wowee that's good,But i know what you mean about you crying, it's so sad when they start growing up, do tell, have you taken your monster out yet?
Hey Georgie, how's James?
Hiya Bec, it's so nice to get me time isn't it? I tend to go right over my house when they've all gone out.
HI Brooke, how is Charlotte today?
Well I think poor Zaccie is getting a cold, he's been coughing all day long, no snotty nose as yet so fingers crossed it's nothing.
He can almost crawl too, if you can call it that, it's more like a caterpillar crawl, funny to see.
I still wrap Zac all though it's kina 1/2 a$$ed now it doesn't seem to bother him if he is or isn't, but I still like to hang on to the little baby ways  He likes to hold onto it more so, & pull it up to his face.
I think that now I have done a web for Zac I might change my ticker to a TTC one, but I feel like I am taking something away from him, what do you all think, silly? Yeah it is but I can't bear to do it just now.
Well, must go & be sociable to Bill, otherwise there will be no games of Yahtzee tonight & I am on a winning streak.
Goodnight, I hope you all get lots of
Hi Girls,
Broke I cant believe Charlotte is saying Dad , daddy and Mummy ..what a clever little cherub!. And yay on the night sleeping . Kaitlyn is usually now 7pmish - 5amish on a good night . But with the toofie coming through it is all over the place at the moment!. She also used to be a catnapper during the day but for the last few weeks she has moved to a 1.5-2 hour morning sleep and then usually the same again in the afternoon..yay!.
Soph I am glad your house is finalised now ..what a relief!. Shame poor princess cried for the 100Kms though ..arghhh. Kaitlyn loves the biccies but oh the mess!.
Love the website Storm! Zac is such a cutie pie.
Tracy I hope you are having a nice weekend!
Jo I hope you are having a nice sleep after your trip..I bet the kids loved it.
Bec your time alone sounds soooo nice!. Reminds me of when I was going to physio for my wrist when Kaitlyn was about 4 weeks old . The physio used to say sorry for taking to long and I remember thinking how much I loved just lying in silence on the bed hehehe. I hear you on the wrap Kaitlyn is sometimes sleeping with one arm out during the day but teething is kinda throughing everything out the window. I love the idea with the sleeping bag though so I might try that.
Well girls I got my JJ...finally. But I have to confess I did not get it off Ebay, I walked into a store with DH who is my little "just buy it we will make the money back tomorrow " man ...think he sometimes forgets we are on one wage! But anyway we got it hehehe..paid $123.00 including stand which is not to bad . But the thing is HUGE so now it is a fixture in our Lounge room . I am still coming to terms with all the fun baby things lying around rather then the "everything in its tidy place " look I used to go for hehehe. I guess I better get used to it as once Kaitlyn is on the move it will all get worse I guess
Oh ..forgot to say Kaitlyn loved the JJ so it is all worth it. We also were tempted to buy one of those swinging chairs as she sat in it at the store and really loved it.
Cass
Hi girls!
Great to hear most babies have been kind to their mummies this week (other than lil Louis - poor you Kristie!). Am still catching up on everyone's posts so no personals just yet.
We've now got Gussy's helmet. It's quite an adjustment for him. It works by pushing hard on the parts of his skull that protrude and not on the areas that need to receive the shifting sutures/or need new bone growth. All that pressing means he is left with deep red marks at the contact points and bruises under the red marks. We've had the helmet adjusted a few times as it was originally overly agressive in its pushing power so it was hurting him to much. We have to work up to Gus wearing it constantly for 23 out of 24 hours. So far the longest continuous stretch he has tolerated wearing it is 20 minutes. Seems it will be a looooong weaning in process if we're to get anywhere near the target 23hours!
We started solids for the first time yesterday - good old Farex. Gus now weighs 4.7kg so I'm really hoping he takes to his food better than he's done to breastfeeding/drinking EBM so that he can pick up some extra weight. Have those of you who've started solids found your bubs are gaining weight faster now than they were when they were just fed milk? I'm also hoping it will mean we might not have to wake him overnight for feeds for much longer. So far Gussy's little tummy only holds small volumes so he still needs feeding about every 4 hours and as it takes him an hour to drink his bottle and then 20mins or so for me to express/sterilise, I'm still very sleep deprived. Only ever seem to have about 2 hours consecutive sleep. Can't believe I've been doing this now for almost 8 months. Peculiarly time both seems to have flown and dragged. Must say it's been making me rethink our original plan to be preggers again about now!
Gussy's recently learned to move along the carpet/cot mattress like an inchworm. He arches his back so only his head and feet are on the floor, then shuffles his feet in towards his shoulders, then flips his shoulders back, collapses his back then starts all over again. We have a single bed in Gussy's room and I found him underneath it the other day. Was very scary as I couldn't see him & could just hear babbling but wasn't sure where it was coming from. Ahhh tis just the beginning!
Hope everyone has a great week and that all bubs are extra nice to their mummies. xx
Kirsty - its so good to hear from you! Aaww, the helmet sounds tough! Must be so hard! How long is it expected to take? As for the sleep - I dont know how you are surviving with only that much! Good on you for keeping up with theb/f - especially when it is so much extra work for you with the expressing, you are such a champ! I hope the solids helps you get some longer sleeps! With Emma, she had stopped sleeping through, then the very day I started her on solids she started sleeping through again, so yes, it definately helped.
Oh - & how cute on the way he is moving! Just gorgeous!
Yippee on the JJ Cass, many of fun hours to be had, i'm sure. Just keep an eye on the little nut thingy that supports the chain, Cos they can come loose & they whole thing goes splat, including baby :fuming:
Linda, As with wearing braces to straighten teeth (where they are never really sure how fast the teeth will correct), the various specialists are not quite sure how long Gussy will need to wear the helmet. The orthotist (man who made the helmet) and neurosurgeon have each given an estimated range of time of between four and eighteen months. So it's going to be a relatively long process.
BTW, It's great to hear Emma's sleep improved with the start of solids. Fingers crossed my boy takes to them to!
Kirsty - The helmet sounds tough, poor Gussy. I suppose it will all be worth it in the end. Sometimes its hard to think of there being an end to the tough times, but thankfully there is :) OMG 2 hours sleep at a time, how are you surviving!? I thought i was suffering when Will didnt sleep through until 4-5 months, hopefully the solids will help with sleep :crossfingers: We havent had Will weighed since starting solids, so not sure re the weight gains...
Krisvee - I am looking at studying Information and Library science, I want to be a school librarian while the kids are young and at school so i get holidays with them etc and then hopefully branch out as the course leads to careers in inforamtion technology, publishing, pr, event management etc. Who knows though i might end up loving being a school librarian and stick with it :) That surprises me about kids not knowing how babies are fed, Molly used to tell everyone who asked that when Will cried he was hungry and needed mummies boobie
Melissa - The parents rooms sound great, the new penrith shopping centre has a great one too, but at home we have nothing like that. :fuming: at the club, I cant beleive the attitude of some people. How can they possible expect people to go to all the trouble of sterilising, expressing, storing, transporting and then feeding the baby a bottle, when not all babies take bottles when they are bf in the first place!
Linda - Absolutely bf is as old as human beings, and these people who are complaining were most likely bf themselves! For such a 'free' society some people are awfully up tight...
Hi!
Well, Louis had another shocker of a night. Waking every 2 hours and at 3am wanting a feed. I refused to feed him - hehe as it would mean he was feeding 4 hourly around the clock again!!! So dh and I settled him which took just under 2 hours!! GRRR. He then had about another 1 1/2 sleep to 6.40am. I called the Mchn this morning and she said it's fine to try and settle him without feeding at that time now. It's just been really tiring...
We jumped up this morning though and headed to the gym - Louis goes into creche for an hour - I so didn't feel like it but I'm glad I went. I have to go early or theres no way I would go!!
Kirsty - Good to hear from you! Don't worry about me - your the supermum here!! Let's hope that Gussy's helmet only needs to be on for a short amount of time - it must be hard seeing it hurt him though. Yeah on the solids! Louis puts on about 400-500g a month and I don't think it's really changed with solids but you never know...
Linda - thought I better stop chatting in the other thread...I just renewed my mini-pill pescription for another 4 months. I'll probably go off it then and see what happens. That will make Louis 9 1/2 months when that happens....
Kristie - another 4 months of the mini pill sounds ideal - I just have to get around to renewing it LOL. Mind you, there is still a part of me that would be happy to fall pg soon (if it wasnt for these last 5kg I havent budged ). I went to the gym this morning too & put Emma into the creche. I hope you start getting some more sleep soon! I wonder what's causing all these wake ups? He was doing so well at night for a while wasnt he?
Kirsty - I hope its closer to 4 months for you. I hope the solids work wonders for Gus too!
Kell - Being a librarian sounds great - especially having holidays when the kids do!
Just a fairly quiet week ahead for us, which is nice. Going camping again this weekend so I'm hoping the rain clears up!
i am having a hell of a time with C at night also,i am at my wits end,her cold has gone and i think she has settled into the new habit of waking up and having me there to comfort her and feed her etc etc,she has been waking every 2 hours for the past week and at least 3 times before that while her cold was bad,i am going to post in another thread to see what help i can get,it has to stop we are exhausted.she used to be such a good sleeper!!!!!!!
nikki
Hi!
Linda - I really don't know. We're just going to have to be persistant with no feeds I suppose. We gave him some water last night though just in case he was a little dry...
Good on both of us for gyming it! hehe. 5kg isn't too bad! I'm ok with my weight I just want to firm up a bit - a couple of kg would be good but I think it's just too much hard work at the moment. I head to the gym only 3 x a week and I haven't been eating that great...I think I'm just maintaining at the moment - hehe.
We're going away for the weekend too! Off to Port Fairy with dh family. All paid for so it should be great. It's a 4 br townhouse and it has a spa so we're going to give Louis his first every spa bath! he he. I'm hoping that dh and I can go out for a couple of hours on our own with all the babysitters that will be there!
Nikki - Let me know when you post!!!
Nikki - sounds like she is going through the same as Louis - whatever that is?
Kristie - your weekend away sounds great!!!! Louis will love the spa!! I'll think of you in luxury while we're eating baked beans by the fire LOL
Wow it's quiet in here today!
Have a great time with your Sis Fletch
Zacmiester has a cold  but he his handling it so much better than Bill. Just seems to be sleeping it off.
He has still been sleeping the 13hr at night but now his 2hr morning nap is a 3 hr & then the luchtime nap is 3 hrs & his arvo one is 2hrs, so my day is sooooo boring! has been like this for 4 days now, there is no time for outings anymore!! Maybe it is just a result of the cold he has, poor little vegemite, his eyes are all red & puffy & all his does is cough, sneeze & fart!
Oh well, more housework to do.
Wow quiet in here...
Just a quick post to tell you all that, as you can tell from my ticker, I am pg with #3!
Hope everyone is well!
Bon
hi girls
omg bon - that is great news, am really happy for you congratulations. oh and please send some baby dust my way ta lol.
hi to everyone else - not much to say (wow thats unusual) got my new computer yesterday so i am still mucking around with it lol. lani is asleep and jay is playing at a friends so i am playing with my new toy lmao.
hopefully will be back on tonight and i will try and get personals done.
have a great day
Kristy - No pain, no gain unfortunately. Poor Gussy :( I can't wait to get Benjamin weighed again. He's definitely got heavier since I put him on solids. Great to hear Gussy is growing so well now =D> Benjamin commando crawls, but at times he does the worm crawl thing too, usually when he's got a thumb in his mouth and won't take it out. Everyone keeps telling me how much fun it will be for us when Benjamin starts to crawl, literally hide and go seek if you turn your back for an instance.
Melissa
Huge congratz to you Bon!!
Yay Bon what super news for you, hope you have a H&H 9 months, well 8 really!
Hi Michelle how's your school hols going? We are very tired over here, well I am anyway. ATM Jem is watching Playschool, Jess is wrecking Jemma's flash cards and the other kids are next door and down the road. Arron is at work and I am procrastinating and on the puter instead of hanging the washing and cleaning the house. But i am so disorganised today it's not funny, we were watching cyclone stuff on tv and then I didn't get brekky till 12.30pm, the kids ahd eaten but I hadn 't, so now I am all out of whaclk.
Hope everyone is well
michelle
Hi girls, just a quick post before I hit the books for some more engineering
Poor Zaccie, Storm, I hope his cold passes soon. At least he's sleeping it off (what are you doing with all that spare time???) and not rampagingly (is that a word?!) grumpy. Is he eating/drinking OK? LOL at the coughing, sneezing and farting, poor little man! Love the website pics, its so nice to put faces to your clan. WTG with the caterpillar action, it wont be long...
Brooke, Charlotte sounds like such a clever little miss, all those words already! How cool! Maybe she's saving up the crawling for a while and resting on her laurels! Im always a bit sad when I realise James has hit another milestone; its so exciting but I hate the tought of him growing up - he'll be bringing home girls before I know it :(
Congrats on the house sale, Soph, although its sad to give it up. Have fun with your SIL. How is the lovely Lucie today?
Sounds like camping was a hoot Jo. I reckon you always need to go at least 3 nights, cos sleeping in a tent is always a shocker for the first 2! Hope you got a good nights sleep.
Yay for your JJ, Cass! Im so glad Princess kaitlyn loves it and it was worth it! My DH is a bit of knight with shining credit card sometimes, too, I love not having to feel that tiny bit guilty about it then!
Love Zane's new pic, Fletch. And love the self serve in BigW too, I have to say! James tried out the FP swing at a friends house the other day, and loved it, just giggled like a maniac the whole time. Where did you get yours? Havent found one yet in the usual dept store haunts. Enjoy your sister's visit too!
James is on a fruit and yoghurt thing, too, Bec. Thanks for mentioning Baby Love - its a permanent fixture on out coffee table, but I read so many different parts I forget stuff like that all the time. Its good to get some perspective, and just because they wont eat veges this week, doesnt mean they never will. James does rather like her basic beef and veges though, with cheese stirred in. Great idea to zip Josh inside his sleeping bag, arms and all, too.
We are doing OK with the wrapping thing. Im no bothered by wrapping him per se; James used to really like it, but this last week or so has been yelling whne we wrap him and fighting to get out (only at night though!). So I figured he didnt really like it anymore; now he just has to learn to get to sleep without it. I figured it was becoming a problem when he wouldnt go back to sleep if he woke up and got unwrapped, so thats when we decided to change. So far so good. He is still wrapped (loosley)during the day, because there are more distractions (esp at childcare) and he sleeps better with it. My goodness, how obsessed do we get with all the tiny details???
We all had a fab weekend, ate way too much! We went out for lunch at a really yummy restaurant in Blackheath yesterday, and James was an absolute gem for the whole 4 hours. Sat on the banquette between Bertie and I and made eyes at everyone, flirted with owner, got stuck into my icecream 8-[ . It was really nice, esp since our guest is childless and not baby-orientated at all (she didnt even hold James all weekend!), and I didnt feel like James dominated everything, IYKWIM.
Better get onto that study.
kristie,i have just spent hours reading posts from other mums who have gone through the same thing as us.some of it has been really helpful,go have a look.i have also posted HOW DO I TACKLE THIS!!!!!!so i hope i get some really useful ideas, will let you know how i develope with C and we can give each other ideas and updates.
nikki
Hey Melissa - Banjamin was born on the 4th wasnt he? My ticker says Emma is 5m2w1d old & Benjamins is 5m2w2d old. Mine always seems to be a day behind, but it is the same ticker makers. Did you change his birth date or do I have a setting wrong? 8-[
Hello lovely ladies
Storm I hope little Zaccy is feeling better today..poor Sausage..its so awful when they are sick. I really have to get Zac to whisper in Sammys ear about sleeping lol....i wish. I find I have to run around like a mad thing to try and get things done while he sleeps. He has 3 x 1 hour sleeps a day and well Ive prattled on and on about how many times he wakes during the night
And congrats on the toothies, thats so great!
Woohoo Cass! Kaitlyn will no doubt love bouncing.
Sorry had to cut this short, my little fella is awake again.....
Bye for now
Jo
Ah Jo, Sammy just doesn't want to miss a thing! Glad camping trip was a success and hope you have rested up a bit since.
Georgie - Yummo your weekend sounds great, and so much better too when bubs co-operates and behaves. Sounds like you have the wrapping thing sussed. Actually you sound like a very relaxed mummy! Hope the study went ok.
Storm - Wow so much sleep! Maybe he's having a growth spurt too and needs his rest. Hope the cold goes soon. Do you give him anything for it? We are yet to get our first cold, but Lucie was a bit nasaly last night so I thought one might be on the way.
Fletch - It's bizarre, it's like someone flicked a switch and now I am so much more relaxed! Lucie only had 60ml yesterday morning, which normally would have had me in tears and very distressed. But I just gave her some rice cereal and gave her another 30ml about an hour later and just left it. I feel so much better! Wow I am jealous of you having your sister to visit. Lovely to catch up isn't it. Mine is here next week and I haven't seen her since Christmas. I can't wait. And woweeee on Zane crawling - you'll really have to be on your toes now!
Cass - Yeap the biccies are a bit messy I agree. Congrats on the JJ too. I didn't realise they were so big though! We are actually thinking now that we will get an amby hammock for bub #2 and you can get an amby jumper thing for them, so might just go with that. I just really don't want to have to have 2 cots!
Bec - Oh Josh on the lounge sounds adorable! Lucie doesn't mind her car seat (actually we just put her in that now from the capsule - still technically a bit small weight wise, but she definately has the head control etc for it), I think she just gets a bit bored if we drive for too long. Well done on 'me' time too, it's a bizarre feeling isn't it? And I say give the child whatever they will eat. Lucie has always been more into veg than fruit. They are all so different!
Hi Tracey! How's the hairy beauty?
My SIL is here now and it's great. She won't stop doing my housework though! She has hung the washing out and got it in and folded it, done the dishes and helped with dinner. What a star! And she's a doc too, so I can pester her with questions - gave her Lucie's lump report so she deciphered that for me which was good.
And as I was saying to Fletch I am so much more relaxed atm re feeding. Having more success with solids too. Now we have morning bottle, an hour later some solids, 4 hours later bottle, 4 hours later another bottle, 3 hours later dinner solids (taking around 2 tbs!) and then an hour or 2 later bottle and bed. So far so good!
WTG Soph glad someone has flicked the switch for you. I wish somebody would come & do all my housework for me, I'd love not to do the same things everyday. Zaccie is feeling better today, it's funny I gave him a dose of demazin yesterday & it's all gone, except for the coughing (& farting, but demazin wont clear that lol)
Hello Jo how is super Sammy going?
Hi Geogie, Yay for James being so good at the resturant for you, & nice to hear you had a great time too, lucky thing, Bill hates resturants :fuming: so we rarely go.
I find heaps to do with my spare time lately, internet, ............. hhhmmmm I think that's about it nnaaahhh my house it sparkling!!!All those little odd jobs are getting done, put with 6 little puppies who are being weaned off mum, I'm kinda busy teaching them how to lap & geeez they make such a mess!
Well, I must go & do some more cleaning, I'm doing the girls clothes today, though I think I will just do 1 room at a time, such a big job *sigh* must be done.
Have a great day all....
Hi Girls,
Just jumped on line to do a little work for DH so I thought I would say a quick hey!. Kaitlyn is sleeping ...thank goodness..before we go to Gymbaroo!.
We have had a bad few days with this little toof...she just wont let me out of her sight and wants to be in my arms alllllll thhhhheee timmmeee . But I do feel bad for her as I can tell her gums are sore because she has even rejected the dummy a few times
Storm thanks for the hint on the JJ , I told DH last night and about an hour later I caught him checking the bolt hehe.
Fletch I hope you had a nice dinner with your family. I cant believe Zane is chatting and crawling how exciting ! I cant wait until Kaitlyn moves about and says something other then Screammmmmmm hehe.
Storm Glad little Zac is feeling better today ..the poor little mite. We gave demazin to Kaitlyn when she got her first cold/cough and it worked for us so fast as well ..it was amazing!. You sound very busy , I love getting the odd jobs done as it gives you so much more of a sense of acheivement then doing the standard housework.
Georgie your lunch out sounds lovely!. Funny how some friends just take your little one and you get to relax and enjoy them playing all afternoon and others are to scared to touch them. And Babylove is always on my coffee table to at the moment ..hehe. Kaitlyn is back to being wrapped because of her teeth. It is funny how obsessed we get over the little things , sometimes I think what if Kaitlyn is bored am I entertaining her enough ..silly ... HOpe the study is going well I gave mine up when I feel pregnant as I was getting way to stressed.
Yay soph on youre new relaxed mummy attitude =D> =D> . Want to send your SIL my way hehehe. SO nice that she is helping you really shows she understands what you need !.
Well we went to the Drs and Kaitlyn ways 9.1Kgs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to measure her as she is very long so I want to know how tall she is as well.
I introduced her to cheese yesterday . We had Pumpkin , Corn , Peas with grated cheese for lunch and then Pumpkin , Spinich , Cheese and a LIttle creamy rice cereal for dinner ..and she DEVOURED it . I steamed a little extra Jasmine rice when I made our dinner last night so I am going to give her a little "baby vege risotto " tonight . I am so bad ...I test it a couple of times as it is so yummy
Well I better run and put a little make up on before Gymbaroo .
Cass
OPps...I mean Kaitlyn Weighs...not ways ...arghhh post pregnancy spelling brain still around!.
Soph that is so great you are feeling more relaxed...well done honey. Enjoy your SIL being there too..she sounds fantastic and exactly what you need...just chill and enjoy. People love being able to help. Thanks I am a lot more rested now too...i spent practically the whole day yesterday washing clothes, hanging clothes and folding clothes...lol...the downfall of going away for the weekend I guess
Fletchie did I miss Zaney crawling....whooohoooo that is so great...Crawling and a new toofie!! Sammy is moving backwards at great speed now..its so very cute. He actually got up on his knees yesterday for the first time and sat himself up from a laying postion........awww proud mummy here!
Bec sounds like you do have the wrapping thing sussed. Sammy was never really big into the wrapping...he was such a wriggler lol. The me time sounds great...good for you...bet you feel like a new woman.
Storm I can understand the dilema with putting up a ttc ticker..as if it might take away from little Zaccys babytime..whatever you decide will be perfect for you..Zaccy is a very loved little boy. Hope his cold is getting better too...and whoohooo on the caterpilla crawl..clever fella.
Brooke how is the gorgeous Charlotte today? Its a gorgeous name. Do you break it down at all. I went to uni with a Lottie. Isnt the babbling just gorgeous..i love it. Sammy is daddad bubbub and ni ni..lol..too cute.
Cass the swinging chairs are great too...are you meaning a swing or a chair that rocks midflight? Sammy has both but the swinging chair thing doesnt get used all that much now..he loves his swing though...tends to love anything outside.
Georgie your lunch sounds gorgeous. What a sweetheart James is...did he love the icecream? lol I love going out for lunch and dinner. Its nice cos the girls are old enough to not be silly ( years ago they thought climbing under the table was cute...so not cute!)and Sammy loves going out. A few weeks ago we went out to a Chinese restaruant and we had the stereotypical chinese ladies clucking over him ..it was so cute..they were moaning about their lack of grandchildren and the bribing they were resorting to to encourage their children to have babies..it was very funny.
Cass wow Kaitlyn is getting so big..wtg. Bet she loved her cheese. The risotto sounds fantastic. I steamed broccoli, carrot, beans last night and made a cheese sauce and let Sammy finger feed..he thought it was fantastic..big mess though lol. Hope Gymbaroo was fun.
Well I am feeling great today..much better sleep. We have been for a big walk after we took the kids to school..its tired him out though poor fella. Sammy is getting so fast in his walker..its like hes worked out how to reverse too. And when I go outside i say cmon Sammy lets go outside ..and his face just lights up and he hoons over to the door...lol.....Is outside a big hit for all the other babies? Not much happening today thank goodness..yesterday was too busy. The girls are going to be thrilled..weve found a place for them to go horseriding...they are horse mad at the moment..and nope not keen on buying a horse..lol.
Jo

Funniest thing happened today, we went down the shop & the check out lady i always chat too was staring at Bill , like really staring, with her mouth 1/2 open, he walked through the checkout & she said to me," OMG, was that Hugh Jackman?' I laughed so much, & I said "no, that's my husband!" I really don't think he looks that hugh at all :cryinglaugh: though one could wish.
I have one room sorted!!! I ending up moving all the furniture around too, Katie loves it. AHHH now the others want their rooms done, so 1 down 3 to go.....
Oh Storm Hugh Jackman you lucky thing pmsl :cryinglaugh: Good luck in the big moves lol..i get stuck with the same thing..but mum..now you have to do my room!!!
