Hi Everyone
Well i had a hell of a day trying to express at work tody. It took 30 mins and I only got 150 ml..... I was so disappointed in myself.
When I got home though I expressed again and was able to get 220ml and top up the other bottle to 240 ml \:D/
I have to keep up the water intake when I am at work. I have been drinking a hell of a lot of coke at work....back to old pre pregnancy habits.
Nicole - I hope that Chantelle goes back to her old ways of sleeping well for you soon. It is a terrible thing having to get up again all the time when you just get used to the longer sleeps.
I cant complain with Jordan though, he has been going 8-11 hrs over night at the moment which is great. I have been able to feed him about 6.30am-7am and then go to work early.
Kirstie - I am sure you will work out the helmet, you seem to have overcome all the other obsticles so far. You really are an inspiration with all you have concquered in the last 8 months. Congratulations.
Melissa - Benjamin is a clever little guy commando crawling.....he will be mobile in no time.
Krisvee - I hope Louis loves the spa, if he loves the bath no doubt he will. We put Jordan in the spa and he loves it, he is a real water baby though. Yeah on the weekend away, its so nice to have time out as a family.
Linda - you are a brave lady camping...... i am terrified of sleeping outdoors. Hope you have a fantastic time.
As for me, nothing really new. I have decided to do a plate decorating course and hope to sell custom plates as a side business. They will have a pic and your name and DOB on them. We got a similar plate when Jordan was born it is gorgeous. I will start as a hobby and then see if I can make a business out of it.
Night all
Sending LONG SLEEP VIBES TO YOU ALL

Hey Cass, I think there are a few rusk recipes in the breasfeeding, bottlefeeding, solids section. I did some easy ones - basically cut the crusts off a really fresh slice of bread and roll it up and squish it really tight. Then you just nuke it in the microwave, max 1 minute I think, just keep an eye on it. Then leave it to cool for 10 mins or so and whammo! My baby recipe book also says to cut a thick slice of wholemeal bread into 3 strips and spread with 1/8 tsp marmite (vegemite in our case though i guess!) melted in 1 tsp boiling water. Bake in oven at 180 celcius for 15 minutes. Can be stored in airtight container for 3-4 days. I know there are full rusk recipes somewhere in the other section though.
Way to go on porky Kaitlyn's weight gain too! Must be so muchwork to lift these big bubbas! I can still lift Lucie with one arm!
Thanks heaps too for emailing that stuff through on routines etc. Quick question for you all though, I know it's only a guide but the routine for 6-9 months in only 3 bottle/breast a day. Anyone doing this yet? I'll see how I go over the next few days but Lucie has basically not been keen on 10am feed so was wondering about it, but she can't afford obviously to miss out on anymore milk.
Oh Storm Hugh Jackman is a spunk! Bill must be too - good work girl ;)
Hi Fletch! So did one of the mums take their sick bub? I'd be a bit hestitant too I reckon. I mean I know they can pick up germies from anywhere, but not sure I'd be keen on Lucie playing with a bub that was obviously unwell just in case. I hope you had fun anyway!
Jo - Yeap Lucie loves outside too. Guess it's a nice change for them. Glad you are feeling a bit more human after some sleep. Wow you must have so much washing with all those kids!
My SIL got Lucie this groovy walker thing yesterday. It's a Tomy one and you just push it, not sit in it. Then it converts to a little push bike for when they are older. We found a great baby shop in Byron Bay of all places, and they have heaps of second hand toys and stuff. Don't mind that it's second hand, it's all plastic so just needed a good wipe down!
And the buyers of our house work with my really good friend! How weird is that? So we are going to meet them and have a chat when we are in Brissie next. They have heaps of plans for the house, just like we did, so will be lovely to hear what they are going to do.
Ohhhh I've had the runs too since 4am. Not good when you have a crawling baby and you have to do a runner to the bathroom
-
Good morning girls.....
Sounds like everyone had such a busy day yesterday!
Oh, Soph, hope you are better before too long :( it cant be fun at all. On the feeds, we are still on 5 a day, with 3 solid meals, and no sign of that changing yet. Ive always just gone with the flow (some days James will want an extra feed); perhaps if Lucie is not keen on her 10am she might take more at the next one? Not that Im encouraging you to start counting again!!! Again, James can be really variable and some feeds he's only on for a few minutes. Your SIL sounds ace, and it soooo handy to have a doc in the family too!
Storm, glad to hear Zac is better. LOL at your Hugh story, Bill must be a bit of a spunk, lucky you! Like Cass said, mine would never be mistaken for anyone else! You are such a super-mum, cleaning, moving, looking after the puppies....you and Jo are my window to the future, with multiple kids! I need to get sooo much better at multi-tasking and staying focussed! And yay on the toofies!
Go Kaitlyn, 9.1 kgs! Hope that tooth is getting through soon though Cass. Glad she likes the cheese, Ive found its an easy way to make something James mght not otherwise be intereseted in a bit more palatable. But Kaitlyns sounds like a champ on the veges. I often eat the leftovers - wouldnt give the bubs anything we wouldnt eat ourselves, would we?! Hmmm, except porridge, that will never pass my lips. Hope you had a good sleep Cass...
Glad to hear you back on all 8 cylinders Jo and recovered from the big weekend expedition. I was a horse-mad kid too, but luckily we lived on a farm so I could have one (my dad was a mounted policeman too, which I thought was the coolest thing ever!). Im sure the girls will be wrapped when you tell them about the riding place. It sounds like Sammy is making leaps and bounds towards crawling too, sitting up from laying is so ace.
Fletch, PMSL at your DH on a "sickie". Yup, we got to Springwood Pool, its really nice. They have a great kids pool, and good changing rooms etc. There are always lots of parents and kids there, lots of room for the pram etc., cafe does an OK coffee too! Wednesdays can be a bit busy, cos thats high school sport day, and the kids can be a bit boistrous, but it kind of comes in waves if you dont mind sitting for an hour then it passes. Give me a yell if you want some company and we can have a swim and a coffee.
We dont have much to report - ah, no I lie, because James started clapping hands on Sunday! Another proud mummy! Grrr, he's waking up....he sleeps 2.5 hours at childcare, but barely 1 for me!! Better go....
-
CONGRATULATIONS BON!!! \:D/
Michelle, I grabbed a bit of babydust from the belly buddies for you :bdust: :pdust: I hope it does the trick.
Today is my EDD and still no sign of number 2. I geuss it hasn't read the eviction notice I sent a week or two ago.
Yasin has been a fussy little sleeper all week. Poor DH is just about dead because he has been going to look after him most of the time when he wakes up.
-
Thanks everyone
Michelle - here's plenty of baby dust for you :pdust: :pdust: :bdust: :bdust:
Dach - wow you're due today...hope bubba is good and hurries up for you! Hope Yasin gets better with his sleeping before bubba comes - Harry became a fussy sleeper just before I had Grace after months of being great - I think maybe he was affected by the imminent arrival even though he didn't really understand what was going on.
I told Harry there was a baby in my tummy and he said "No there isn't mummy" and lifted my shirt and said "See, there's no baby". He won't believe me until I have a big tummy! But this morning I was getting the kids ready to come to the doctor with me (for a BT) and he got all worried and said "Mummy I don't want to get a baby today!". Hee hee so cute he thought we were going to the doctor to get the baby. I told him not to worry and the baby won't be coming for a long time.
Hope you are all having a great week!
Bon

Nikki - I have just been looking at different websites about baby sleep patterns etc with some helpful ideas. I would guess that Chantelle got out of her routine while she was sick which is annoying. The karitane website suggests re-establishing a really strict routine before bed, which might take a while to work as she needs to change routines as such. Also maybe a massage, bath song etc before bed will soothe her. They also suggest not feeding just b4 bed, or letting her fall asleep while feeding as when she stirs after her first sleep cycle she will wake fully because she is not in the same place as when she fell asleep, or she will want more food...hope this makes sense and helps, if you want the websites let me know.
-
Just a real quickie...
Mum just got back from MCHN & Indah now weighs 7.7kgs... I would have thought with thighs as big as hers are she'd have weighed more!
Ok off fopr a 3-4 hour meeting so just expressed & hope I dont leak during the meeting!!!!!
-
Not much happening here, all very boring. Lily is learning to run, eek! She is learning new sounds too. The newest being 'dub dub dubby', lol. No idea where that came from.
Dach - Sending heaps of labor vibes to you!
Bon - How cute of Harry sying that! So glad i don't have to explain this to Lily for a while. I wonder if she'll understand before it's born?
-
Hi everyone,
Sorry it's been so long, I have been working hard and playing hard!
Bon, congratulations!! It seems like just the Michelle's and me that are not pregnant although hopefully Dash won't be pregnant for much longer but then Michelle you will get pregnant and it will just be two of us again not pregnant!
Jo, you poor think about Kaleb, it does sound stressful. One of the Mum's in my Mum's Group is worried about her little girl who pushes and pokes the other kids and she has just started 'time out'? Good luck...
Aidan is very good, just recovering from a cold but other than that all is well and he is running everywhere and understanding almost everything I say, which still amazes me!
Hope everyone is well.
-
Hi!
Kell - I am having problems with Louis and we settle him in the cot and let him fall asleep and he still wakes up every 2 hours over night. We've had a night time routine for ages. He also won't settle easily when he wakes and has taken to screaming so loudly.
Tracey - Sorry you had such a hard time expressing. I tried expressing last night and nothing came out - hehe.... it was after Louis fed so I'm hoping my supply is still ok. You should set some reminders in Outlook or something to drink more water. The plate decorating sounds like fun!
Nikki - Well last night was even worse than some of the other nights. I ended up having a big cry at around 1am this morning! So silly but you get that when your so tired. Dh came out and sent me to bed and went in to Louis. He ended up rocking him to sleep which gave me a 2 1/2 hour sleep! Yeah. I've managed to get him to sleep through the daytime a bit easier today by keeping him up longer. He was up for 3 hours this morning then had a 1 1/2 sleep and then he's been up for 2 1/2 h now so I'll see how he goes. I hope Chantelle had a good night for you last night.
I've been feeding him through the night as it's the only way to settle him so maybe he's unsettled and having a growth spurt??? Who really knows. I just hope he snaps out of it soon!
Not much else is happening. We've been having a fun day today in the sunshine (well, shade)!
-
Aaww Kristie  I would have a big cry too if I was so sleep deprived. I really hope this phase is over soon!
-
LOL Jess- as long as I'm not pg anytime soon LOL
Tegan- I love Lily's new sound it's very cute. wonder where it came form?
Dach LV"S x 300 to you, hope it's not much longer.
Bon- Harry is too cute!
Not much happening here busy cleaning as usual. Jess is sleeping, maybe on the floor but hopefully in her cot LOL
hope you are all well
see ya
michelle

Krisvee - i actually remember Will having an unsettled week a couple of weeks ago, so maybe it is a growth spurt. Although Will wasnt as bad overnight, he would wake a few times but the dummy put him back to sleep, he would wake during the day and not resettle and would scream then when i got him up he would get tired really fast and grizzly it was frustrating. It didnt last though thankfully. i think they get to a point where they want to be up more and also get tired and the transition time is difficult. Hope Louis starts sleeping well soon
-
Soph Sammy laughs at that "guide" lol. He feeds prob 6 times a day still and through the night as well...lil piggy. We tend to feed around bedtimes..how often is Lucie sleeping? Sammy will get up at 7am..be down at 9:30(when we are home) and will feed then, sleep for an hour, feed when he wakes, feeds when goes back down at 12 and so on. I dont know how we could even try and drop a feed yet.
Lucie's new toy sounds great too..hope she has fun in it. How weird is it that the buyers are your friends friend. Life has its funny coincidences doesnt it. It will be nice for you to see what plans they have for the house. Hope you are feeling better now too you poor thing..not good with a bubba as well.
Georgie I love porridge!!! And how clever is James!!! Ive been waiting for the clapping hands and waving...its so funny cos Sammy will look at us doing it then look at his hands so its like hes figuring it out ..funny boy.
Tracey sounds like Indah is doing fine to me. Sammy slowed down heaps too...i think its completely normal as they get more active otherwise geez all bubbas would be huge!!!
Well ive just gotten back from the park with a friend. She took the little girl she looks after. It was so cute Sammy just couldnt take his eyes off her..isnt it funny how bubbies just seem to love little people. Well best go and get some housework done..the kids have early close today and then i have to choof off into town and do some shopping, go for arvo tea for bday and then go to horse riding place.
Jo
-
Hi,
I posted in general discussion also but are any of your bubs on to 2 sleeps for the day??
Louis will only need two today as he's still asleep at 4pm. That means he was up for 3 hours this morning and then 2h and 15min and he will be up for at least another 2 hours when he wakes.
-
Kristie - that is the typical 6mth routine. 2 day sleeps about 2 hours each and then 8-12 overnight. Will is in this routine now, although sometimes if he wakes early in the morning he will also have a 1/2 hour power nap, then 2 sleeps between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.
-
Kristie - Emma hardly sleeps at all through the day, I think thats why she sleeps so much at night. usually about 3 catnaps lasting about 20 - 40 mins each. Mind you, yesterday & today she has had a big afternoon sleep.... :-k
-
Poor Aidan has cut a molar. It looks very big and scary at the back of his mouth on the bottom. Maybe that explains his always runny nose. Not sure but I feel a little bad that I haven't loaded him up with Mummy sympathy and cuddles - looks like I will have to make up for lost time! I didn't expect these for awhile as he still only has his two front top and bottom teeth plus two eye teeth (I think) next to the top ones that are only just poking through anyway. I hope they are all growing normally...
-
Thanks for the rusk idea Soph . I tried it today and Kaitlyn LOVED it !. Thats my little Aussie girl loving her Vegemite hehe. Dont worry about the feeds Kaitlyn is still on 5-6 feeds a day and does not look even close to dropping one. I hope you are feeling better that is the worst make sure you are drinking plenty of liquids for the bubs.
Georgie I hear you on the multitasking..I used to consider myself a multitasking genius ...ok maybe I am talking it up a little but I am pretty good. But I just cant imagine when you have more then one child how you do it all and still have time to spend with everyone ..take my hat off to all you ladies with more then one bubbas =D> Yay on James clapping how exciting!!
Go Indah at 7.7Kgs! Hope you did not have any accidents in your meeting Tracey
Jo Kaitlyn is exactly the same . Just over the last few weeks she has really started to take notice of children. A little girl ran up to her the other day when we were having coffee and she just grabbed Kaitlyns feet and giggled at her , well that was it Miss Kaitlyn stared open mouthed at the little girl for the next 15mins!
Brooke I hope you and Charlotte are well ..dont stress it is so easy for the days to get away from us!.
Well we had a not to bad last night , went down at 730pm and woke with a pooie nappy at about 930pm then slept through until 350am which I am still not overly impressed with arghhh..but at least she then went back down until 730am. Then this afternoon for the first time since goodness knows when Kaitlyn missed her afternoon sleep she would not go down full stop! But she has crashed now so that is good mmmmmmm dreaming of a 6am first feed wouldnt that be nice.
Other then that not to much to report here . Kaitlyn is still not crawling but looks like getting closer. Oh yeah I put her in her JJ today and she screamed wouldnt you know it I could be one of those people selling a JJ on ebay soon if it I was not so ](*,) I would be :cryinglaugh:
She has also worked out just in the last couple of days that if she wants something she just screams until she gets it or I take her mind of it with something else. I almost had to take a fully grown gum tree home today until I gave her something to distract her from holding tightly onto the trunk :cryinglaugh:
Well I am off to finish my nice glass of red . I had to stuff DH's quarterly newsletters into envelopes and label them tonight which took about two hours . So I am going to relax now!.
Hope you are all having a good night.
Cass

Yay Jessica on Aidan's molar!!!! GOd they must hurt. Sounds like things are coming along fine, Jess has all 4 molars and just her eyeteeth to come. So it's normal!
not much happening, thought I'd do this quickly and get off, maybe spend some time with Arron for a change LOL
-
hi everyone
sorry i have posted in here lately - i have come in & read what is happening but have been feeling a bit sorry for myself so didnt want to post negative stuff!! im doing ok now just never thought my friends that i moved closer to would not what anything to do with me now im a single guess they werent real friends anyway - eliana has had a temp the last few days so ive been worrying over that & just thought her dad would care more to call & find out how she is going more than once - i guess i get a little overwhelmed sometimes doing everything by myself but i am so much more happier this way if that makes sense!
sorry no personals as there are way too many to catch up on but i will say dach good luck with your labour when bubs decides to come, congrats to bon & tegan love your new avatar

Ooh! Look at my ticker! But my little boy isn’t in there… might have to get that updated. Neither is my bump! Oh well. I suppose they’ll just have to update it in 10 weeks anyway.
Well, I’m home and hosed, thank goodness. Charlie was fabulous while we were away – was an angel while we were traveling (even though it included a two hour plane flight and a three hour car trip there and back). He was a little bit sad sometimes because he missed his dad, but he did really well. I’m very glad to be home though – I love my extended family, but there are some messy things (potential divorce, family feuds, etc) that are brewing at the moment, so I’m glad I live a state away!
There’s so much to catch up on here, of course, but I’ll do my best.
Dach – OMG at that little girl saying $hit! That’s odd. Not that you’ll have much time to check on here, but ALL THE BEST with the birth. I hope that bub doesn’t overstay his welcome in there by too long!
Tegan – V. cute of Lily to say no to a kiss. Hope she doesn’t refuse you too often though!
Jo – Bug hugs to you re: Kaleb being funny in outside situations. I can’t really help there, but I can only assume (and hope) that it’s a stage he’s going through. You poor thing. I hope that you’ve got some good ideas from everyone’s advice.
Bon – Congratulations on No. 3! That’s wonderful news. So what’s your due date then? And what will the age difference be? That’s cute about Harry… When I ask Charlie, “Where’s Mummy’s baby?†he comes over to me, lifts up my shirt and kisses and hugs and pats my tummy. Very cute.
Mooshie – even more babydust your way! With a few of us in here, I reckon our combined babydust power should help you a bit!
Jessica – glad that Aidan is over his cold. Bugger the molar though – sometimes they’re a bit hard to predict, aren’t they? I’ve heard they’re the worst ones too… knowing my luck Charlie will get his just as No. 2 arrives. That will be fun!
Anyway, there’s not much else to report. Even though DH is still doing all that extra work, and therefore leaves the computer free for me to cruise BB, I still don’t know how much I’ll be on here – I have two assignments that I should be doing, but it’s less stressful and more fun to be on here! No. 2 is still doing well – I can’t believe I’m on the “homeward stretch†now. This pg has gone so much quicker than last time.
Right, I should really get off here and have an early night. Still pretty tired from traveling. Hope you’re all well.
-
Sorry mel - we must have been posting at the same time! I hope you're ok... chin up. Your friends obviously don't deserve you. Hope things get better for you soon.
I know I've already said it, but that pic of Eliana is so cute! I think that everytime I read your posts.
Hope you're well.
-
hi everyone
will attempt a few personals
dach - labour vibes coming your way - not long, can't wait to see what flavour you have lol, i have a feeling you are having another boy - good luck and i am hunting around those birth announcements in anticipation
bon - thanks for the baby dust - i really do need some lol. how are you feeling, has the dreaded ms hit yet - usually hits me around 6wks arhhh. how cute on harry not wanting the baby today lol
jess - don't worry you will be prg soon enough, so far we have been ttc since end july last year, has always taken a while for us, but i just stress cause time is a ticking for me. oh on the molars, painful buggers - lani cut 2 molars during a bout of gastro late last year, she was so sick with the gastro didn't even realise she was cutting teeth as well, found them about a week later - the eye teeth are actually the 3rd group along iykwim - front two teeth, then two teeth beside then the eye teeth then 2 sets of molars. lani only has 2 bottom eye teeth to go and then her back molars thank god - she always seems to get sick when cutting teeth and she usually cuts 2 teeth at a time, so far out of 14 teeth - she has had throat infection, gastro, croup and the latest was tonsillitis, i truly hope she cuts these last ones without to much of an incident.
tegan - how are you going chasing lily around and having to contend with growing a little baby - it is so much more exhausting being prg when you have littlies.
michelle - school holidays have been really good so far - jay is really tired and only tonight has seemed to be ultra whingy so sent him to bed early for a good night's sleep. he had a sleepover last night at a friends, and the mum said it was such a pleasure to have him he was so nice and polite, ate all his dinner, did what he was told etc etc - i was so proud of him - pity he wasn't like that at home lol no he is a great kid just a bit tetchy when tired or bored lol. lani was missing him and was helping me fold the washing she got his jocks put them over her arm and ran into his room calling him - to cute.
nothing much else happening - loving my girl more and more each day, she is such a joy. went to a park today and she had a ball walking around checking out everything - and it was nice that she wasn't clingy and was happy to play with the other kiddies, she seems to get along a lot better with the older ones - the younger children around her age (or height) she seems to get ****ed off with them and she makes this terrible noise - cross between a scream and a whinge lol funny to see the kiddies run off when she does it - usually happens when they come to talk to her - funny girl that one.
well we have just had a heap of junk mail delivered so i am going to curl up on the couch with my packet of tim tam balls and a glass of milk and have a read on what i can buy (or layby in my case lol i have 4 going atm) only way we can really afford to buy stuff we want - slowly slowly goes the snail.
anyway catch you all - have a nice night
-
I noticed that Victoria has been only having 2 sleeps lately too, a 45min one in the morning and then about 2 hours at about 2pm.
I am hoping that with her new skills she is going to sleep better at night, Thats right girls, we have a crawler ALREADY!!! There is no keeping her still now!
-
Pmsl Cass at taking the fully grown gum tree home...that would have been too funny! Its amazing what a fierce grip they can get on things isnt it!
Jo
-
omg cindy are you serious,is she really crawling, that is so amazing, isnt she sooo clever,i love her photo and also i love the pic of jordan tracey soooooo cute
nikki
-
Michelle - Lily is very much a handful at the moment. So very glad DF is at home at the moment, but he'll be in the air force soon and will gone for about 6 months in Adelaide unless i can go there after his basic training but i will be about 32 weeks and not sure how i would feel moving to a different state and going on a plane then, but if i don't i have the problem of being heavily pregnant with a toddler and DF most probably missing the birth, which is not what i want. Not idea what i'm going to do about that one.
-
Awww Brooke..if it is then ive commited plenty too!!!
Jo
-
Nah Brooke - I always give Lucie a bit of whatever I'm eating to taste. Don't stress! Even the MCHN said Lucie could start having a bit of ice-cream!
Cass - Was that the oven one you tried? Might have to give it a go myself. I'm going through quite a few rusks at the moment! Very funny about the tree. Did she want to eat it too? Hope the JJ has better appeal next time. That's my fear with Lucie actually, that she won't like it! She has an activity centre thing which is bouncy, but she never bounces in that!
Tracey - Don't stress too much on the weight gain I say. What was she last time you had her weighed?
Wow Georgie on the hand clapping! How awesome. Lucie just can't get the hang of that at all. Must be unco, like her mum! Does James do it all the time now?
Had a great food day yesterday, this morning has been a bit slow but oh well! DH is back home too. Yay! SIL gone, Lucie might catch up on some sleep now. Do you guys find that it's really hard sticking to your routine with visitors? Oh and I've decided to stick with current feeding pattern for a while and see what happens.

Hi everyone
I feel soo bad not having been on for so long. Maria has had a fever on and off for a couple of days, doctor says to keep an eye on it, it could be teeth, it could be a cold, but not likely to be rosela (hope not). There is no rash and she is chewing on everything.
Yesterday at childcare she refused solids and ended up drinking 260ml (normally a 160ml girl) milk in the afternoon.
I am sure motherhood = not stop worrying
-
Hi Louise! I am sure Maria will get better soon. Have you been giving her panadol/neurofen? And don't worry at all about solids, she's obviously still keen on milk and that's the main thing. Oh and you are sooooo right re the worry!
-
I'm serious Nikki - She is mobile! My little girl is growing up way to fast! Aparently , so mum says, I was crawling at 6 months and walking at 8 months so it looks like she is following in my footsteps! It would be alot easier for me if she wasn't so mobile, we aer in the middle of packing up for the big move to melbourne which is happening next week and her crawling around it making it a touch more challenging than we expected. Gone are the days of being abe to put her down and knowing she will be there in a minute.
Her sitting up at 3 months should have tipped me off though.
When do babie usually start crawling?
-
Hi,
Wow Cindy! How exciting! Louis has been sitting up for about a month now so I hope he doesn't start soon!! I'm sure once they start they'll be into everything. We haven't baby proofed the house yet so I suppose it's time to start organising those things...
Another bad night with Louis although he didn't actually need a feed until 5am. Just woke lots. Are any of you co-sleeping? I might try bringing him into bed with me tonight and see if it makes a difference. At least last night he didn't wake up screaming he was just waking and having a chat and then would grizzle for an hour. I just kept putting his dummy in and walking out and he eventually dozed off.
He was screaming this morning when I put him down for a nap. The only way I get him to sleep at the moment is by putting my cheek on his - it generally works instantly!! Its nice that I can do that and he obviously gets comfort from having his mum there...
Sorry for all the posts ranting...I'm just not sure what to do. I'm going to book in for the naturopath next week just to see. Its like he's just not relaxed sometimes. Generally when you bf he used to be nice and relaxed and now he's kicking his legs and his little body is arched and tense. He's not upset, just not relaxed either.....hmmm. Maybe I'm analysing too much!!!
-
Cindy - Wow that's great! Once she gets the hang of it Victoria will be moving so fast you wont know yourself :) the avg age for crawling is 6-9 months. In my family though we are lazy, Molly didnt crawl until 9-10 months and walk until 15mths, exactly the same age as my nephew so im not expecting much movement from Will just yet
-
Well I looked in Indah's book & from 4mths she has gained 975grams... So I guess that's OK???
Yestyerday she apparently was licking wildly at all the icecreams there was Mum, my sister, her 2 kids & maddy all letting Indah lick their icecreams!!! :-k Probably not a great idea as they all have their own germs, but well what can I do now???? She loved it & had a icecream dribbled t-shirt on!
She is doing well with the water from the straw, but harted the finger foods!!!! Just sat there gagging!!!
-
Kristie - It sounds like things might be improving since he didnt want feeding last night and just needed a dummy. We arent co-sleeping, will has been in his cot from day one. Will actually woke up last night screaming and arching his back and really tensing all over, just like it sounds Louis is doing, we suspected sore tummy, wind or belly ache as putting him over my knee and firmly patting his back put him straight to sleep. Do you think Louis could have wind pain or something, is there something you have been eating thats new that might be going into your milk and upsetting him? I would be wary of starting co sleeping because then he might not want to go back to his own cot later, but if it works, and you are happy to do it then of course it is your decision :)

Sorry for not being around yesterday, my pc decided it needed a holiday! We tried to hook up wireless so the other comp could go on line, huh, what a huge mistake!!!!
Brooke, don't worry about giving Charlotte ice cream, geez come to my house in the afternoons & zac will be muching on a whole violet crumble ice cream that he has ripped out of his dads hands LOL!! & he steals food from us all the time,(plus he really loves marble choccie)
Cass, sometimes Zac has a tanty when i put him in the JJ, & :smt043 at taking the tree home with you. That would be a sight to see!!
Georgie, big :smt038 for James clapping!! Clever munchkin. Me, a supermum? Just a crazed physco trying to fix everything at the same time, ;) (if anybody knew that I didn't even get dressed that day I'd die)
Hi nice relaxed Soph, everything back to normal at home, that sounds good. Good girl Lucie, for eating well yesterday, now just keep doing it.
That's a nice weight for Indah, Trace you must be pleased, hope there were no spills at your meeting.
Hi Jo, how are you today? Hugh & I are good
Hi fletchie, hope you DH is better today, How is Zany Zane today?
Louise, hi! Hope maria is better today.
I hope I've said Hi to everybody!
Yesterday bill put Zac in a box, I've never seen him so delighted. He stayed in there for nearly an hour, it was soo cute, I'll have to put a pic up to show you!
Not much happening on the TTC front for us, skipping this month as we dont want bubs to be due in december.
So far I have re arranged 3 bedrooms, so only 1 more to go, although i dont think mine needs doing, I'm not messy & I dont loose my clothes!! Ah kids, they seem to loose everything in that vortex under their beds. take care.
OH, how do I get an avi thingy?

Sneaky work post.... 8-[
Louise, if Maria is a bit off colour, I wouldnt worry abour refusing solids - James has done the same thing. Soph's right - she's still keen on milk and its probably more comforting. I thought actually that if they have a cold / teething that the solids might hurt their mouths or throats? Hope Maria's feeling better soon, poor mite.
And I reckon your motherhood = worry formula needs an extra multiplier in there motherhood =A x pre-baby worry where A can be any number - usually huge!!!
Brooke, I must be a bad mother too...but I think they should taste all sorts of stuff to find out about how many tastes there are out there. Have you noticed you can buy chocolate custard in a jar for babies? Im sure bubbas love it, but James has such a sweet tooth anyway (after his dad!) I dont want to encourage it!
Jo, isnt the other baby thing so sweet. James adores other babies and kids too, he just stares! At a friends place we looked a book "Baby Brights" that is just pages of baby faces, mostly balck and white and he was beside himself.
Hiya Trace, hope you had a leak-free meeting.... :smt039
Hi Brooke and Charlotte. Dont stress too much, things get away for you so quickly! Hope you guys are doing well. :smt039
Cass, PMSL at Kaitlyn's "tree". Isnt it always the way that they get fixed on something totally impractical! Shame about the JJ, but Im sure she'll come round...kinda funny really, since it took you so long to get it!
Soph, sounds like Lucie is doing really well right now. When is your next yoga class? James is funny with the clapping - he still prefers to put his hands on the outside of mine when I do it, but I catch him clapping to himslef when he thinks no one is watching! Very cute. I love that fascination they have with parts of their own bodies when they figure out they can make them do things.
We had a nice day yesterday, but one of those horrible incidents in the shopping centre parents room at lunchtime: a mum of a 2 yo (about, he was harldy talking) who started to get a bit whingey (only a few seconds really) and mum told him to "shut up or I'll give you a flogging, I dont care who else is looking". Poor kid had only been going a few seconds! He was probably bored in his stroller while his mum gossiped to her friend. I felt really sad
I also had a really nice print of James made to send to Mum in her birthday card, and an extra done (just becuase). I had it in a frame on the coffee tbale, and James just loved it! He was giving it big slober kisses and yelled when I tried to take it away. Not sure if he understands its him or if its just another baby! He plays peekaboo with himslef in the mirror....do you think they know its themselves yet?
Better get some work done before feeding time!

Tracey - Sounds like exaclty the same amount (g wise) Lucie put on during that time, don't stress at all! She's a chubba bubba remember!
Georgie - heheheheh James must be a vain baby. That is soooooo cute with the picture. You will have to take another picture of that!
Hi Storm! Yeap I am feeling heaps more relaxed. Munchkin having a very slow day today, and usually I'd be down in the dumps and in tears but nup! I just had left over coconut rice for lunch with tuna (weird I know - but reckon I can get away with it being pg!) and she loved it! Wow your house sounds very organised, wanna come and do mine?
Jo - How are you going?
Grumpy Lucie today and she had a pretty bad night too. Would think it was another tooth but I can't see anything. Oh well we might just have a nice sleep together....
