Wow almost everybody is back!
Tegan- it must be hard to imagine being alone for such a long time. I know I would want to be close to your DH! hope it all works out for you guys. It is great that he is doing his training though.
Michelle- still wishing your ttc is over soon! Baby dust your way. It's nice when others say how nice our kids are, they do behave better somewhere else, but that's good too. Lani sounds so gogeous, esp with that squealing LOL
Kellee- so glad that you had a good trip, it was inevitable that Charlie would miss his daddy, lucky it was only a short time away. Good luck with the assignments.
Dasch- hoping the announcement comes soon for you.
Mel- so sorry that you are feeling down atm. It's not easy being a single parent. How awful bout your friends, but I guess you are better off without friends like them. Hpe you feel better tomorrow! Just remember that Elaina loves her mummy lots and that's what really matters.
Nothing much happening here
hope you are all well
Michelle
Hi Girls...I will try and get through this as Kaitlyn is stirring and I am going to take her off to the pool for an afternoon swim!.
Louise what is Rosela? I hope the Dr goes well this afternoon. See you tomorrow ..if Maria is feeling ok.
Soph I did the microwave one , it only took 30 seconds in my microwave . I just made Kaitlyn one to nibble on when we are finished swimming. Dont worry our routine goes all over the place when we have guests as Kaitlyn can stay up for ages when she has new faces to play with .
Go Storm on the orgnanising!
OPps ...she is up!. Will log on again tonight girls...
Cas
Brooke - Yay Charlotte on the crawling!!!! Look out, she'll be zooming around the house in no time now. Today I turned around for literally 3 seconds and Lucie made it over to the other side of the kitchen and was just about to fall off the one step onto the concrete (yes it's a bizarre house!). And you are so right re the food stuff, just do what you do. Everyone will say something different. When I was desperatly trying to break Lucies 'fall asleep while on the bottle' habit, which was chronic and happened at EVERY feed, my MIL and Aunty kept telling me to let her sleep and that I was mean. It was very tricky and I got so angry for a little while! Don't stress too much about the weight gain. They do really slow down around now. The MCHN wasn't concerned was she?
Oh Fletch what a shock for you on the sleep front! Fingers crossed it's a passing phase and he is back to normal in no time. I think Tracey is a cloth nappy fanatic so she may be able to help. There are times when I think I'd love to try it too, but with #2 coming so soon I think I will have my hands full enough!
Cas - How was your swim?
Lucie had tuna in her vegie and chicken casserole tonight 8-[ but seemed to enjoy it. Whatever she will eat she can have! The other night I discovered she loves King Island Double Brie. I child with expensive tastes!
We have a day at the races on Saturday and I pulled out a lovely dress that Lucie was given that I always thought would be waaaaay to big, but now I am not sure it will fit her! I can't believe it, she must be growing!
wow kristie, sitting up already, gosh seems like C is a long way from that yet.
nikki
Fletch you know I do!!!! ;)
Hi Girls,
well we are back from our swim both of us totally exhusted!. The pool was full of kids running around screaming and splashing , swimming past with goggles and flippers on and you know what Kaitlyn LOVED IT!. I bumped into one of our teachers from Gymbaroo and she said to come in the morning as it is not as busy but I think Kaitlyn is more interested in all the kids!. I will try one morning though , just in the hope she will actually make eye contact with mummy  hehehe . I am so glad she loved it ...they look so cute in the little pink swimmer nappies!.
Fletch Kaitlyn is the same at the moment ! This morning she was up at 230am wanting a feed which she has not done since she was about 8weeks or something ..arghhhh help!. I feel like a zomby at the moment. And with the wrap I tried one arm out today and she kicked up a stink until I wrapped her up. I think I am still going to be wrapping her when she is an adult ..oh well at least I can supervise the honeymoon as I will have to wrap her before she goes to bed with her DH :cryinglaugh: I have not tried clothes nappies for anything except spew rags hehe. I think it makes it easier to sit or so I have heard.
Yay Charlotte on her forward crawling! and hehehehe Brooke on your hubby looking like Steve Sanders...sad thing is I knew straight away who you were talking about hahahaha Loved 90210. I have heard those swing chairs are great to help them get to sleep ..bad mumma no way! You should see all the contraptions I have around the house to keep Kaitlyn entertained. Dont worry about the small weight gain she is such a nice size already!. Is she long as well ? I roughly measure Kaitlyn and she is 80Cms ...arghhh I am only 5ft 6inches approx so she will be towering over me by the time she is 5 :cryinglaugh: . Man dont the inlaws stress you out arghhh or as I call them the outlaws hehehe. And I hate the competition thing with babies ...no wonder children end up so stressed over life not being "perfect" or them being "perfect" people start at them so early on !
Soph what type of tuna did you give Lucie? Sounds yummy ..making me hungry as I am waiting for DH to get home so we can have dinner!.
I am envious over your day at the races , sounds lovely!. And yay on the dress looking to small ..yayayay.
Well I am off to start dinner ..we are having chicken breast wrapped in Filo with roast veges...soooooo hungry!
Cass
Hi!
Well Louis is asleep - for how long I don't know but he went down quite easily so thats a bonus.
Had a bit of a rough day, I've started taking my iron tablets again because I've been feeling really lethargic and weak...I'm vegetarian so I probably shouldn't have stopped but I'm bad at remembering.
I called my Mum up for a bit of support with just being tired and she just gave me a lecture saying that he probably isn't getting enough milk and I should just give him formula.. Grrrr. I really don't think thats the problem but just in case I've given him lots of extra feeds through the day. I offered him just before he went to bed as well and he didn't even want it so I think I've filled him up pretty well! hehe. I have nothing against ff but I just want to persevere with b/f for a while longer. My goal was 6m so not far off anyway. I just don't think it's the problem. I ended up getting really upset with my Mum and told her I just need support but she just says most Mums will try anything to settle their baby why don't you just do it....not what I really want to hear right now. I question everything I do so much so sometimes it's nice just to hear that someone thinks your doing the right thing. I love my little boy so much and I would never do anything to make him an unhappy baby.
Urrrgghh!!
Well, you'll all have a break from my ramblings as we're heading off for the weekend. I'm looking forward to it actually! Some fresh beach air will do me good!!
Kell/Linda - I tried having a nap with Louis before and he's just not used to it and woke up really upset actually!! So I won't be doing that tonight unless I really can't settle him. He's not used to it so it probably won't help anyway.
I've thought of what I've been eating but it's not different to normal...it doesn't seem like he's in pain though just doesn't feel like sleeping!!
Just want to say I'm so glad I have all of you to chat with!!! Sometimes it feels like this is my only resource and you are all so wonderful to talk/write to!!
OK - we'll see how we go tonight and over the w/e - have a great one everyone!
Tegan – goodness! That all sounds a bit stressful with DF (btw, what does DF stand for?) moving to Adelaide… I hope you’re able to work out the best solution. At least you have a few months to figure it all out.
Mooshie – I loved what you wrote about Lani and how much fun you’re having with her at the moment. It was good to read, actually, because Charlie has been a bit of a bugger recently (quite unlike him actually) and it reminded me that there ARE good days! Hope you had a nice night with your tim tams and junk mail.
Not much going on here. Single parenting today/tonight and tomorrow/tomorrow night, but then DH has the weekend off, even though he has a radio shift on Saturday night and I have a gig! It never stops, does it? At least he happened to have next Tuesday as an RDO from work, which also happens to be my birthday. Don’t really have anything planned as yet, but I think we’ll probably go out to dinner, just the three of us. I really like doing things like that s a family these days. It’s going to get a lot harder to do that soon!
Right, best check the other forum before Lost comes on. Have a nice night everyone.
Hi Ladies
I am sorry to hear that some of you are having a tough time with bubs sleeping etc. I am sure they will sort themselves out soon enough.
Cindy - WOW, crawling already, what a clever little girl you have there.
Krisvee - HUGS TO YOU..... I am sorry to hear that your mum wasnt as supportive as you would have hoped. Thats mums for you. Sometimes they dont say the right things.
You are doing a fabulous job with Louis and if you dont want to give him formula dont....... I am not anti ff either however even when I am having troubles expressing I wont have a bar of anyone telling me to give him formula.
Nicole - Jordan seems a long way off sitting up etc also. How is Chantelles night sleeping going?
Are we still up for a visit next wednesday? I cant wait to you see both again.
Well off t hang photos of Jordan up, we got pisie photos done and they are gorgeous.
NIGHT NIGHT
Aaww Kristie - I'm so sorry you aren't getting a lot of support from your Mum. I was so sad for you when I read your post. Arent we all so lucky trhough to have each other?
Well, camping is tomorrow...I hope it doesnt rain!!! 8-[
ooohhh kristie, huge hugs to you sweety,i know exactly how you are feeling i am going through the same thing as you at the moment so please take comfort in knowing that you are not the only one,i know how hard and draining it is but i promise that it will get easier soon enough,i know i have 2 older children and my eldest was just the worst,i thought it was never going to end,but before you know it this moment will seem like an eternity ago.i dont have any parents or sisters to ask for advice......but in saying that, make a mental note for yourself for when your child asks you for advice in years to come and remember how important it will be to them for you to give them the advice they need to hear at the time to encourage them to power through the hurdles in life.
tracey yep next wednesday is still on.how is 11am at my house,my friend is looking forward to it aswell.
my address is
54 grandview cresent hillside (bellvue hill estate)
give me a ring before wednesday
nikki
Kellee - DF stands for dear fiancee.
Oh no Fletch, that is terrible. I haven't seen it yet and insensitive me posted to her in the September thread yesterday. Thanks for letting me know.
Cass - It was actually one of those little tins and it was savoury tomato and onion flavour  then at dinner it was tomato salsa flavour but that was slightly spicy. I say wrap Kaitlyn if that's what works too, don't stress about it!
Well we had a shocker of a night too. Lucie kept crying in her sleep. She has never done it like that before. At midnight I ended up taking her into the spare bed, so DH could get some sleep and we could too. Maybe it was the tuna :-k
Oh i just got confused, other Kirsty. she's been through so much.
Just lost a huge post :fuming: ....broke my own rule about using word haha, serves me right! Got to get some stuff done before Mothers group today, so I'll just say Hi to everyone, hope you had a better nights sleep, hope toofies are coming through and colds are better.
Dont worry about weight gain Bec and Tracey, your bubbas both sound healthy and average, and there are stops and starts!
\:D/ to Charlotte on crawling, and dont let the inlaws stress you out Bec, everyone else always knows better!!!
PMSL at the honeymoon, Cass! Hope you are feeling more human today.
Love the box idea Storm, will have to try that one. PMSL at not getting dressed, maybe thats where Im falling down!!!
Hope Zane is feeling better, and you too Fletch. Poor thing, what a shock to the system to be waking at night!! Thanks goodness for bonjela, hey!
Hi to everyone else....
Has anyone read, or heard good/bad thing about the "Baby-Whisperer"? Have borrowed it from the library, and only a few pages in. So far seems OK.
And has anyone tried a "water-filled pat mat" for tummy time? James still hates it, but bum-shuffled across the kitchen to get to the fridge this morning (he loves the magnets). Not sure if thats a good thing or not!
Have a good day everyone!
Georgie
Sorry Tegan I called him DH and I knew you weren't married yet, but forgot what you called him LOL
Hey girls, hope you all ahve a super day, I assume you'll be online tonight Kellee, since you are alone BOO HOO. Although it's not bad to have a night here and there to yourself is it?
Have to go to the POst office and take all the kids today and should do groceries today, as long as Arron co-operates, cos I don't want to take kids.
I have a meet up tomorrow with BB girls and Jordan has a sleep over today till tomorrow. We are having a BBQ at my gf's tomorrow night. Arron is working Sunday so we are flat out again
Cheers michelle
im back to normal now - if there is any normal but dont have much time so cant do personals but will catch up soon
eliana's temp has gone though now she has a bad cough & those glazed looking eyes you get with a cold - i have an itchy throat so i guess we have some kind of bug - will go out later & get some cough medicine for her - she probably got it from my brothers kids cause ive looked after them a few times this week & eliana & her cousin (3 months younger) always seem to sharing drinks & dummies no matter how carefully i watch - they are just too quick!!! though i do notice such a difference between boys & girls - hunta is into everything & unpacks all the toys he can find & never sits still!!!
hope you all have a great weekend ;)
Kristie - Like Nikki says things will get better, this first year is always the hardest i think but it goes fast too so soon the tough days will be a distant memory. I know what you mean about your mums advice, my mum seems exactly the same ](*,) I know she means well but when Will was not sleeping well early on she told me to put him on formula (he is ff now, but that was my choice not on her advice, i think if i hadnt have come to the decision myself i would have regretted it always - so be strong and keep bf as long as you want to). Mum was always telling me to have Molly potty trained at 12 months, that we were etc. I just had to ignore her and do things my way in the end it took Molly one day to potty train and we have had no accidents yet which i think is because we waited until SHE was ready! I know Mums are wonderful to have, and they do mean well but sometimes you just need to stick to your own plan. Good luck with the sleep today, and have a lovely weekend!
Tracey - I am having photos taken of Molly and Will in 2 weeks, cant wait! Molly's pixie photos are so cute :)
Kristie - I know what you mean about just wanting your mum to be supportive. My mum has had alot of experience with babies and so have I through her as she has done pre-adoptive foster care of babies since I was really little so as you can imagine I have grown up looking after them. Anyway, now whenever I call my mum to ask a simple question she tells me I sound flat and must have post natal etc etc and that I shouldnt be as tired as I am and she never was bla bla bla. Even when I point out to her that I am working full time, have a new born and organising to move interstate she doesnt see why I get tired sometimes. Mums!! Sometimes they think they know it all.
I definatley dont have post natal and at the same time would have no problem asking for help if i did! Oh well!
On the cosleeping front, i usually end up with Tori in the bed with me when she wakes for her 4am feed, she settles alot better with me and DP and we love it, I'm sure we wont as she gets bigger but at the same time she is quite happy to sleep in her cot, its just me that likes the cuddles. Infact, she will sleep anywhere! infact, i left her on the floor in the lounge yesturday when i went to the toilet and came back to her asleep in the middle of her play mat!
gotta go, she is calling
Kristie - :hugs:
Linda - Yes, Benjamin was born on the 4th of October as well. Don't know why the tickers aren't the same? I've just updated Benjamin's photo today, hopefully things will look right then with the tickers.
Melissa
Hey Mel, good to hear from you, hope you & Eliana knock this bug on the head! Kaleb is sniffly & had a cough atm too, it is hard work, but I seem to be avoiding it!
Wow Mitch, another busy weekend for you! Hope you have a good one.
Tegan, that is an awfully hard decision for you to make, you poor thing. How is pg going? Hope Lily is a good girl for you.
Michelle, lots of baby dust coming your way! It is lovely to hear that Lani is giving you so much joy, what a delightful girl she must be! OMG, I am exactly the same with junk mail, I love getting it (especially KMart/Target) and sitting down with a cuppa to dream about what I might buy!
Kellee, glad you had a good time away and that Charlie behaved himself so well! That is so cute about him kissing & hugging your belly!
Jess, the teeth order thing is weird, isn't it? Kaleb has 4 bottom teeth, a big gap either side, then a molar on one side. Same on the top.
Congrats again Bon, that is great news, and that was so cute about Harry! Hope you are keeping well.
Dach, lots of labour vibes to you, look forward to hearing from you soon!
Kaleb has been really good, we have been at home a lot this week, but this morning I had to take him to my hospital appt, and had to wait 1 1/2 hrs... kept him in his stroller for as long as possible, but he started to lose it so I let him out to play...he was okay for a while, then just randomly went up and hit a little girl. Had to pull him away and sit down without looking at him (the best 'time out' thing I could come up with in the situation) and he knew he'd done wrong, but boy did he scream. There were about 30 preg women & partners there who I could just see were thinking 'uh oh!' I think the whole waiting room breathed a sigh of relief when my name was called!
Hi Girls ,
quiet in here today. I hope you are all having lovely friday nights!. We just tucked into our Friday takeaway which was chinese this week...mmmm I ate 3 spring rolls  I love those things!.
Kaitlyn slept through to 430am today ..yay! Cant believe I am celebrating that time!. But then she did not fall back asleep until 6am and was back up again at 730am .....short lived celebration hehe.
Found another use for the JJ stand today , I hung ballons from it and lay Kaitlyn under is so she could kick about and hit them with her hands!. Also got some cheap toys from Ikea today , only $1 each and they are great if you want to hang a couple of crazy looking character from the ceiling .
Well gotta cut it short as DH wants me to do a business email for him ..bugger!.
hope you all have a great
Cass
look at my ticker, how cute is that!!!!!!!!!!!
am i a tad biast LOL!!!!!!! nah!!!!!!
nikki
Hi Girls :)
Sorry for no personals tonight, I just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you know I am still around - just recovering from a very average few days is all! I had a sick DH for a couple of days and then we spent last night in the emergency department at our local hospital with Joshua after he had a really severe bout of vomiting.
It happened after he had been in bed asleep for an hour or so. I heard him sneeze and then heard a really strange sound after that. I went in to check on him and he was on his back with a mouthful of vomit and was struggling to breathe. Very scary. I rolled him over and he spewed up all the rice cereal he had had for dinner. And then he continued to vomit on and off for the next hour. The poor little thing didn't understand what was happening and was screaming and crying. :( By the end he was retching and bringing up bile and his little face was white as a sheet.
When it was over, we put him in the bath to clean him up and by the end of the bath he was smiling and enjoying himself! By the time he was out of the bath he was happy as Larry and back to his normal self, but he had been so sick and had absolutely nothing left in his little tummy so we took him to the hospital just to get him checked over.
We were sitting in emergency until 2am  , but the good news was the doctor thought it was just a reaction to something he had eaten during the day (he had only had formula, rice cereal & fruit!) and she was happy for him to come back home. So, he has just been drinking Gastrolyte and eating a little bit of fruit today. He had a bottle of formula tonight and has kept it all down, so I think all is fine.
Anyway, since I ended up going to bed at 3.30am after last night's events, I am a little tired now and am going to toddle off to bed! I will try to pop back in over the weekend for some personals.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
Oh Bec that must have been sooooo scary. Poor little mite. It's so horrible when they are sick. Glad he is on the mend now.
Brooke - Wow you have a great weekend planned! How cute on the raincoat too.
Cas - Oh yummo Chinese. Good bargains on the toys too. I have started giving Lucie some household stuff to play with and she loves it - especially the ladel and the stubbie holder
Fletch - Aha, I will have to try Baby Whisperer techniques asap with #2 in the hope of getting a sleeper like Zane! I have it too, but I found I got stressed out when Lucie wouldn't sleep 1.5 hours between each feed. Now I just go with the flow (see relaxed mummy ;) )
Georgie - Haven't heard of the mat but it sounds fun! I don't type in word, just highlight my post before submitting and do control c (copy). That way I can just control v (paste) if I lose it.
Well busy day today. Got the races on except it's suppose to be raining  Have to wash hair, shave legs and paint toe nails which I don't do very often now! DH is wearing his 3 piece suit and a hat and a pink tie which I got him - can't believe I got him to wear pink! And I have a pink outfit to wear and Lucie is wearing her gorgeous little red dress with white rabbit ears! And I managed to feed her a bit later today so we can stay longer (can't feed the child anywhere but here - too distracted and she'll be tired and grumpy by then anyway!)
So have a fab weekend everyone.
Bec, what an awful night for you and Josh! Big hugs to you both and I hope you are both feeling better
Glad the baby whisperer gets your thumbs up, Fletch, so far it sounds quite useful. We pretty much do "EASY" anyway (with varying amounts of the Y !). Hope you got your washing dry; my washing day is tomrrow this week so everyone cross finger sfor sun please!
Mmmm, chinese...I'll have to get you to send me "dirty takeaway" emails, Cass, with every little detail, so I can live vicariously, damn dh's diet! Great idea with the balloons - James loves them too, but we havent done that for ages since he's been sitting up. Yay on Kailtyn sleeping til 430 - did you wake up earlier and wonder if everything was OK?? We lurve ikea too...so many nice things....
Hope you had a nice day at the races Soph, and no rain. LOL at the pink tie! But I bet your DH was spunky all suited up, esp with hat! Sounds like you got stuck in the "schedule" thing instead of "rountine" with the baby whisperer!! ;) Dont you hate it when the child loves the empty water bottle or wooden spoon more than the $40 fisher-price train with bells and whistles?! I gave James a wooden spoon and metal mixing bowl the othe day...and created a monster! Banged on it for ages! Must try the stubbie holder tho.
Sounds like you have a full-on weekend, Bec. Fill us in on Robin Barker, there's a woman whose phone number Id love! Thanks for the pat mat info, I'll check out Target and the opther usual haunts for a Tommee Tippee as well as the Infantino one I saw online.
We had a really nice at MG yesterday, but now Im feeling yucky cos Ive got James cold :( He actaully bounced back really well by last night, perhaps his immune system is getting stronger! Now Ive a sore throat and that drippy nose thing has started. Early to bed for me I think.
:smt039 to everyone else and hope youre having a good weekend!
Nikki - I cant wait for next wednesday... I will be there, 11 sounds good for me. My friend works until 12 though so she might not be able to make it.
LOVE the ticker photo, what a cutie
Melissa - Benjamins new photo is gorgeous aswell.
GEE all the OCT bubs are just gorgeous. We should all be very proud.
Well today we took Jordan to our friends b'day party. She is phillipino and all her relatives were there. They were facinated in Jordan b/c of his blue eyes and blonde hair. He was passed around to everyone HEHEHEHEHEHE
he loved it. He has crashed now, I think he will sleep all night.
On the sleeping front, Jordan has been sleeping thru for the last couple nights. Last night from 10pm to 8am, is that the best........I was so rapted.
well i think i will watch a bit of the comm games and then head off to bed.
NIGHT ALL
tracey, jordans photo is absolutly georgous also.
C SLEPT FROM 8PM TILL 4AM LAST NIGHT SO I WAS PRETTY HAPPY WITH THAT I HOPE SHE IS JUST AS GOOD TONIGHT
my son is turning 11 on wednesday and tonight he is having his party.i am going insane........he has 7 friends over to sleep tonight, they are all in the pumpus room wrestling and making alot of noise at the moment and it is caos........

oh well it is only once a year,
any way
have a good night sleep everyone
nikki
Georgie - Hope you know the nasty cold on the head soon. Great that James is better though. What are these mat things?
Fletch - Your trip to Melbourne will be so much fun. I love Melbourne. My sister lives there and is coming up to visit this week - yay! She hasn't seen Lucie since Christmas time when we were excited if she rolled over, so she'll see a lot of changes!
Hope all you lovely ladies are well and bubs are happy.
Lucie played up again last night. DH was out after the races so she ended up sleeping with me (DH went to the spare room - don't like sleeping next to a brewery!). She wiggled around like a worm all night. Not sure what's up with her.
Races was fun - Lucie and I only really stayed for lunch and a bit of a chat though. Lots of other bubs though and Lucie really loved that. I am so tired today though and I have soooooooooo much housework to do. The house is a mess! And I MUST go to the supermarket this morning too because otherwise I have no formula for the next bottle!
Hi Fletch! Nup I don't have a pg journal. And I would kinda love to find out what we are having but DH really doesn't want to and the suprise is kinda nice. I am soooo looking forward to seeing my sister. She is the oldest (only 2 of us) and doesn't have kids and isn't married either. She will spoil Lucie like crazy, but she is a worry wart (wonder where I get it from eh :smt016 ) She will want to take Lucie to the hospital every time she falls and knocks her head! How is lucious Zane? He is looking mighty fine!
Lucie has been soooooooooooooo grumpy today again. Not sure what is going on with her. She is really tired too. Been sleeping a lot cuddled up with me and falling asleep on the bottle, but if she's not feeling 100% I'll just let her go with the flow.
But she is LOVING her vegies now and has even started to eat her fruit! So great! She had about 2.5tbs of vegie & chick casserole in about 5 minutes for dinner, and 1 tbs pear and half a cheese stick. Fingers crossed she keeps this up! And whenever we are eating she comes straight over and wants some. Still not liking the milk much, but hey, if she loves solids then I'm one happy mummy!
Oh gosh Bec! I am so glad little Joshua is on the mend now. You must have been so panicked ..I cant even imagine.
Happy Bday Charli!!!! and go the bargins Brooke I love bargins. DH and I went shopping today as I wanted to get Kaitlyn some winter clothes. I got this beautiful winter Jacket and a gorgeous thick paddington kinda vest from target for her for only $45.00 together!. Then we went to Big W and I got about 5 shorts and 5 Tees for next summer + 3 winter tops and about 6 pants for only $86.00!!! love a bargin!
Fletch your trip sounds like it is going to be heaps of fun!. Amazing how many friends you can meet though BB!.
Soph congrads on getting DH into pink, I have not been successful on that front yet. Took me about 12months to get DH to wear funky strong stripes in his business shirts! Now checks are in so I have been working on that ...only took about 3months for that one hehe. I just go and buy it for him as a present and make him wear it hahaha. I hope Lucie is a bit better tonight ..maybe she is getting a toofie.
Georgie I am happy to send you emails about the , tall , dark , handsome spring rolls :cryinglaugh: I hope your resting up so you can nip your cold in the butt.
Well we have another toofie here girls!. I think I need to be a bit more free and easy with the Bonjella or Panadol . Kaitlyn woke at 545am Sat and would not go back to bed so I got up with her. Then she did the same again this morning but was refusing her dummy so I thought teeth and gave her so panadol and she went straight to sleep! I am such a mean mummy not giving it to her on sat morning..opps. Anyway we were out today and she opened her mouth and there is was a little white toofie coming up ...so cute!.
Other then that we have a pretty nice quiet weekend. Lots of shopping actually! Bought a beautiful oscars looking top to wear for my "cough cough" 30th "cough cough" Bday party and then lots of clothes for Kaitlyn.
Well I am off to have a nice read before bed...first book I have read since Kaitlyn was born and I LOVE reading. So I have picked one of Bryce Courtneys books "Jessica" I love his books! I make sure I get everyone he releases in hardcover hehe.
PS: we had a HUGE roast this evening with yorkshire pudding and all !. Dont you just love the cooler weather rolling in so you can have roasts again..mmmm ....
Hope you are all having a relaxing night.
Hi Girls, just a quick post as it's getting late and I have heaps left to do before I can go to bed!
Joshua is doing fine now, thanks to everyone who asked. Back to his normal self, although his eating/sleeping is bit out of whack. Hopefully we will be back in routine soon.
We went to a 1st birthday party today. It was fun! Josh joined in the games (with a bit of help from Dad!) and had a great time.
Fletch - Yep, I'm ok thanks. :) We will still be going to the meet up tomorrow. If Josh was still sick and had something that he might pass on to the other kiddies, I wouldn't go, but all is fine now. Will see you and Zaney tomorrow!
Soph - Glad you had fun at the races. I have only been to the races a couple of times, but it was a great day both times. LOL about the pink tie too. I was just as surprised when I got my DH to wear a light purple/mauve tie. One day when we were out shopping for a wedding outfit I pointed it out - half jokingly as I thought he would never wear it - and shock, horror, he actually liked it and bought it!
Brooke - How was the expo? And the talk by Robin Barker? I'll be interested to hear what she was like. See you and Charlotte tomorrow too!
Georgie - Good to hear that James bounced back from his cold. What a shame that you have caught it though! I hope you are feeling a bit better today.
Cass - Yay, another toofie! I hear you on the reading too - I hadn't realised how much I have missed it. I picked up a book the other day that I started reading before Josh was born and picked up where I had left off and I enjoyed it so much! Are you coming to the meet up tomorrow?
Well, had better run. Hi to all the other mums and bubs too. I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Morning all!
Bec - So glad Josh is better. And I suppose his eating and sleeping will sort itself out again soon, poor little mite has had an ordeal!
Cass - Yay on another tooth! It's hard to know if they are just grizzly or it's teeth and whether or not to give panadol I reckon. We gave Lucie Neurofen last night. She was just so irritable. And she woke about 12.30-1.30am and then continuosly until 6 when she woke screaming! But I can't see another tooth :-k Wow on your 30th! Is it a big party? We had roast lamb last night too. Yummo, I love lamb
Well grizzle guts still doesn't like her milk and is a bit constipated. Didn't give her solids for breakie this am, and will see how we go. Where did my quiet happy baby go?
:fuming: :fuming: :fuming: :fuming: :fuming: Just lost my hugest post ever & now I am angry!
Basically Bec glad Josh is feeling better, have fun with Zane & Fletchypoo today!
Soph, I hear ya on the lack of sleep & waking bubba... Indah was up hourly on SZat night & then slept 5hours from 7am!!! Grrr Grr!
So last night I gave her the Teething stuff Brauers...
She slept alnight again... But Dh left for work at 4:30am & I laid awake til 6am & then got up ready for work... so grrrr at that!
Indah is oh so close to cawling, but I dont want her to yet!!!! hee hee
She gets up on arms & 1 knee then attempts to stand on her other foot & just tumbles over!!!! But wont be long, so I guess plans for #3 will happen soon... I think July is a good time to TTC!????? I will be 33 then OUCH!
Nikki - How did the party go?
Benjamin had the best night sleep last night. He slept from 8pm to 7am. I was so happy he slept that long for a change.
Melissa
OMG all these ticker photos are fantastic!!! All these bubbas are so cute!!!
Well our camping trip on the weekend was very wet!! A bit of a shocker really LOL
Well done on crawling Indah! And I say TTC NOW Tracey!
Well I just spent 2 hours in emergency with Lucie. I was trying to feed her (disastrous - very irritable bub) when I noticed 2 of her toes had a piece of my long hair wrapped around them so tightly that the toes were red and swollen. I quickly ripped the hair off but wasn't sure that I got it all, hence the mad dash to hospital. Anyway they have now gone back to normal colour except for 2 indented and cut rings around each toe. Very scary, I had visions of them having to cut them off! But apparently it's really common, especially in crawling bubs on carpet with long haired mums! Maybe I should get it all cut off???? Anyway, so make sure you keep checking your bubs fingers and toes, really not very nice. Maybe this is why she has been so grumpy? Poor little mite.
Linda - I agree - Ocotber babies are just the cutest!!! I'm so sorry to hear that you got rained on over the weekend! WHat a bugger, I hope it was a nice get away anyway
Awww Soph..what a panic that would have been. Something I will have to keep an eye on. Glad you have had a nice weekend and enjoyed the races. Its nice to get out and dress pretty every now and then.
Arent those attempts sooooo cute Tracey. Wont be long now till shes chasing Maddy around the house. Sammy gets up but he doesnt seem really keen to start moving..think he knows he can power around the house at top speed in his walker lol. Whoohoooo at ttc...July will be here in no time at all.
