Kate, I really hope you get the right results today.

Kathryn, so glad to hear that Ashton is ok. Gotta love those poohnami tsunamis (I borrowed that from another thread!). Jack has had only 2 or 3 pooh explosions in nearly 2 years. Thomas has already had more than I can count. And quite often when we are out - yucko!

Marion, you will prob be back when you read this so I hope you had a fantastic time and that you didn't have too much pain.

Christy, good to hear from you - how is Jovie going now? Once I get rid of the rellies after the Christening we will have to organise to meet up at Carindale or something.

Tom had another bad night last night. 3 wake ups and we were up from 3:30 to after 4:30 with the last one, then DHs alarm went off at 5:30 (he is a scuba diving instructor as a hobby job and is working today) and Jack woke up a few minutes later. Tired but as Kate said, getting somewhat used to it.

LOL at being called a bully! Huge vent, ignore if you wish. MIL gets very strange when she is away from FIL, not sure why, they fight all the time when they are together! She got upset with us (mostly DH) on Wed night as we were saying how we wished BIL would give up smoking. Twice he has been staying here since he moved to Sydney in August and both times he just coughed and coughed, really bad, hacking coughs. Plus he works on radio so his voice is his income. And he would smoke out the back but the house is usually open to let in the breeze so the house (incl Jack's bedroom) ended up smelling of smoke. Anyway, MIL got upset bcos apparently we were backstabbing him. Don't really understand this as she kept b!tching to us the whole time he was here about how she wished he'd give up smoking! And also DH talked to him about it while he was here and asked him not to smoke around the house, so it's not really backstabbing. But MIL got upset then called us ungrateful (for what I'm not sure). Then Thurs morning she went to the hossy and asked for FIL to be discharged. So now he is here too and I am constantly running around getting him drinks and food and stuff as he is too much pain if he walks much, and he is downstairs and the kitchen is upstairs. MIL is mostly too busy on her computer to do it for him. I don't mind doing these things for FIL but feel that he really should still be in hossy. Also, MIL has been here since 15/12 and BIL was here for a week and a half and now FIL is here too. MIL has done a lot of washing and ironing for us since she arrived (but not anymore now we have p1ssed her off LOL), and occassionally I've left Tom with her when he was asleep while I ducked out, but in all that time not one of them has helped (or offered to help) cook, paid board or contributed to the cost of groceries. MIL has done the dishes twice. We have driven her around, to and from hossy as she hates driving, to look at flats, shopping etc. What exactly are we ungrateful for??? Anyway, vent over. ILs, what can you do!!

Wow Kate, how good is that! Well done Rylee, keep it up!!

Well done to Gaby too. Emma, don't be fooled, Jack was always a great sleeper and look what happened second time around LOL!! I would still have had him so soon though even if I'd known what was ahead!!

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope your party goes well Kirsty.

Tom only woke for 2 feeds last night, but he rolled into the bars of the cot around 4am and wanted to be rolled back over. So it was up 3 times for me. Tom has been able to roll since 4.5 weeks (it took Jack 7.5 weeks and I Thought that was early), but since yesterday he has started rolling all the time. He just won't stay still! He is pulling himself up on his elbows too and yesterday got himself up on his knees, and also did the tent thing, pushing himself off the ground with his feet. I think he might crawl earlier than Jack too (5.5 months). I get so little time before they are mobile!!

    Hi Girls

Not doing anything tonight either, so for those that are I hope you have a good one. Dont' think I will even watch the sydney fireworks on tele as I am so tired. The two older boys have seriously been so naughty today it is doing my head in. Mum rang earlier and she said go have a drink (alcoholic) and I said "mum i'd be going to the bottle shop and buying a bottle of scotch to skull if it made things better" she laughed.

    Hey all!

Just on for a sec from inlaws! Hope you all have a lovely time tonight.

Am just about ready to come home already, but hubby is having a great time! My MIL is lovely but my FIL is driving me nuts!!!

Kirsten seems OK here, is sleeping from 12-7 and then all morning still, thankfully, she is a bit more grouchy than usual but nothing too bad. She is still a little piggy and ate and ate until she was sick last night then ate some more!!

    Happy New Year!

    Happy New Year gals!

We had a quiet one. DH and I were both in bed by 9:30. But Tom woke for a feed just before midnight and I quite liked seeing the NY in with a baby at my breast! He had a good night, just two wake ups and then up at 7:30.

Jack seems so grown up now. The last couple of weeks he has grown, he looks older, he's eating better and is speaking in sentences much better. All of a sudden he's gone from seeming like he's younger than he is, to seeming like he's over 2 already (with 2 months until his 2nd birthday). It's truly amazing.

The NY is going to start of busy for us. Tom's Christening on Jan 7, DH away from 16/01 to 24/01, then we all go away 27/01 to 03/02 and then Jack's bday on 12/02. Wow, I'll be exhausted by March!!

    Kirsty: hope you recover well

Dont know how you girls are putting the kids in the same room, i know here that Cooper wouldnt make it back out left for more than 2mins with Mason, maybe one day lol

Melanie: hope all the stuff you have coming up goes smoothly and stress free

  14. #32

I hope you are recovering nicely Kirsty

My 2 oldest have been in their own room since Lachlan turned 2. We have had a brilliant start to the New Year with Ashton sleeping 10hrs last night !! He has also slept alot today, so I am not expecting another 10hr sleep LOL.

Melanie - Funny you should mention Jack like that cause we have found the same thing with Lachlan although he turns 3 in April, but he too is speaking alot more and alot more clearer etc in the last couple of months. He is also eating better as well !!

    Hey girls

Had a crappy night. Didn't work with Jaz in her own room with Gem cause she woke constantly from midnight, so I was up and down and ended up getting out the bassinette and putting her in it next to me. Think thats how we going to be for a while. Gem slept wonderful though. She doesn't care that shes in another room now, but we did make such a big deal about it yesterday when we put her in there. I knew it wouldn't work with Jasmine in the other room. And with going back to work soon I really don't want to be up and down all night long!!

Kirsty, hope you are feeling better.

Belinda, good to hear from you again.

Marion, I hope your week improves. Don't get me started on ILs!

Kate, I hope Rylee is doing better. LOL, I have to agree with you that crawling later is a good thing. I had mums saying they wished their child was crawling/walking earlier and I would say "no you don't"! Not much I can do about it though. My boys were born strong and in a hurry to move around LOL!

I'm not feeling well atm, terrible cold and sore throat. Tom is still waking at least 2 times a night, usually more. But great news, MIL and FIL move out tomorrow - hooray for us! Then on Thurs Dad arrives for a week. I am so glad MIL and FIL are moving out, but I think Jack will miss them.
