    Morning everyone...

OK so I'm afraid I'm starting bad habits with Max. He slept in bed with me again last night! What do I do...the kid screams!

He goes to bed around 6:30pm...sleeps in his cot till about 10pm, he wakes, I resettle him, and he then doesn't let me put him down in his cot without chucking major wobbly (he literally knows when the cot 'decsent' is about to happen even though he's asleep)....I don't know whether it's his gums or his guts (or even temperature) bothering him! He really flaps his arms about like a Pork Chop (love that call Viv!)

I put him down but no patting etc calms him...he's hysterical! I end up taking him back to bed with me so we can both get some z's. It's OK to do that when DH is away, but not while he is....oh what to do!

He seems happy this morning though...little punk!

I know it's more than likely his teeth, but I don't want to keep drugging him up!

Thanks for listening to this me me me post!

Gosh - I am sooo not looking forward to the teething thing! So far there isn't even the slightest sign of a tooth. She has been really clingy lately but I have kind of put that down to the HUGE disruption of routine from last weekend. Things have settled. She woke at 145 last night and then at 715 this morning. Wednesday night she slept from 730pm until 530 am!! Woohoo. I have to admit that when she is "routined" she sleeps really well.
I know what you guys are saying re having a cold. But I can't blame BFing on having a continous cold for the last 6 weeks! I think C and I keep passing it back and forth from one another. And me being so run down - basically back at work almost full time AND doing all associated baby stuff as DH works so many hours (22 hours yesterday!!!!) doesnt really help me any.
Anyway - enough of my whinging and feeling sorry for myself. Today isnt too bad a day at work - ran out of things to do at around 10 so am pretty much waiting on return phone calls. Thought I would hop on here and see how everyone is going.
Had better go - lunch time!! Very important!! Hope you all have a great day. mwah

Julia Welcome to my world! we definately get more sleep if he is with me, also its too darn cold at night to keep feeding and resettling him especially if he is hysterical! i am trying to get to sleep in his cot but he has a lil sleep first then is up nearly every hour if i dont bring him to bed? so i spose i dont really have any advice just that he will probably get used to it and make even more of scene iykwim! But you have to do whats working right? oh how jealous i am of parents of babies who sleep all night

I am NOOOOO expert! I think the expert left the building, stage left!
I think it's a bit of luck as well as good management. Best thing is, this wont last forever, there'll be a time when they would no sooner sleep in you bed than fly to the moon!

Amber i bet as soon as he is running and burning more energy he will sleep better. Fingers crossed anyway!

Rebecca- i feel like we are on the cold merry-go-round too. When will it end?!

So far this week we have had ongoing cold, bladder infection, vomitting from head injury and now we have a rash. I presume it is a reaction to the AB's, so have stopped them and will take her to Dr's in the morning. Bring on next week!

Can any of you Brisbanites recommend some accomodation in Brisbane for a night or two? Or even a nice area so i know where to look? DH has a Bucks on the weekend we arrive, which is in the CBD, so will stay there a day or two before heading up to Mooloolaba..... It all looks the same on a map!

Ange - my parents always stay at Festival Towers when they come in to town. It is a serviced apartment right in the middle of the CBD, within walking distance of the Myer Centre and restaurants and cafes (and right next door to my office). If you look on wotif you can get some good deals for there.
Hopefully next week will be better for you and Guni.
Amber - did you get to the Expo today? So looking forward to going tomorrow.
Rebecca - you never know, Miss C may get through teething easily. For us there were a whole lot of symptoms before we worked out what it was and the same day we worked it out the teeth came through. And with this lot of teeth the symptoms were different.

I've got a cold at the moment and so does L. He doesn't seem to be too grumpy with it just coughs a bit and a runny nose.

Good news - L is finally eating. Tonight 3 cubes of pumpkin, 1 of potato and then apple mush. Bought some baby yoghurt today which we are going to try out.

Congrats to all the babies who are teething, talking and walking (okay, maybe not just yet but I reckon some of them will be soon).

Oh! My Little man is 8 months old today.

    Have a good weekend all.

Good morning everyone! things here are pretty good. DH is at work as per usual and I have just got C down for her first nap for the day. We were gonna take a stroll down to Woolies and the local craft shop but I left my purse in the car and DH has it today - is going to do a "few things" to it
So that just leaves housework but with little miss C asleep I think I can leave it for a little while.
Nothing really to report - was just sitting in front of the computer bored and thought I would pop in and see whats been going on.
I hope you all have a fantastic day - MWAH
Oh Saffi- Happy 8 months to L!!! Sorry I am a day late!

    Morning all!

Had a great day at the expo yesterday. Got heaps of free samples and discounted stuff. Didn't get as many brouchures as last year, but then again wasn't setting up a nursery and getting ready for baby. L stayed at home and I definitely was in the minority of those without bub or bump.

L tried a new food today, dogfood! One of my dogs left a good-o on the floor and I didn't see it until I checked out L's mouth. Not really the introduction to new tastes that I had planned.

Lunch at the ILs today. L just down for his morning nap and DH not out of bed yet. Might just lie down on the lounge and see what happens.

    Have a good day.

    Hi everyone

Brissie was just gorgeous! Loved it, not to mention DFO (twice)! Went to Surfers and to Australia Zoo. Also Currimbin Wildlife Park. The engagement party turned out to be a surprise wedding on Margate beachfront - and that was beautiful!

Harry is definitely teething, though still no teeth to speak of! He's been in was us for the past two nights and clamped on the boob. Also he's feeding to sleep during the day and when I pop him off - he wakes up! Grrrrrrrr - DH is out with both the kids so that I can have a break.

Off to get some cleaning done before they get back.

Went to beading class in Redcliffe whilst away, really good fun!

    Hello,

wow it feels like ages since I've had a chance to catch up in here!
I've been kept busy with the new house plus packing etc etc. DH & I spent all of Saturday at the house just cleaning! all the trades dont give a rats and creats big big mess.
anyway so thr painting is coming along, they will be there tomorrow and tues then off for a week until the kitchen starts to go in and then have to return to finish.
The built in's went in on Friday and the carpet gets laid tomorrow. more electrical work was done today by a friend of ours
there is still a stack to be finished off but pretty content to have them finished once we are in. we are prop getting a removalist for the 12th, for all the big stuff and we'll take over all the boxes etc.

Boys: are both well. they have been having lots of fun at the house, unfortunatley coming home filthy and creating loads and loads of washing for me lol.
Tyron is pushing through tooth 8 at the moment and the sneeky bugger leans over your shoulder for what u think is a cuddle and then bites down and OUCH he's got fangs!
I'm amazed he is still not crawling the "offical way" seings he got up on all fours from 6months and has been a rolly polly for ages and then slithered backwards for a while, then about 3 weeks ago learnt how to go forwards so i think he figures he doesnt need to crawl he still gets everywhere his way!
He pulled up onto his knees for the first timr yesterday but then fell and now has a nice big egg on his head.
Took Nixon's dummy away about a week ago, he is coping well, had a few uneasy nights but the last 2 nights he has slept through without waking.

Beading class Claire! what did u make?
