cookie is cute Mo! my gosh what a rude nurse. hopefully u wont ever have to deal with her again.
your appoint will come fast only a few weeks away!
rebecca- Tyron fell off our bed once about 2 months ago. he was in bed with us, i got up to get Nixon and dh shut his eyes, he must have tried to follow me and tumbled off, it was both our fault and i felt horrible he got a big bruise on his head.

Tyron has now learnt to pull himself to stand!! and i the last two days he is trying hard to cruise, gets a couple of small shuffles but wont be long. Sometimes he forgets how to get back down to the ground and gets upset when he has been standing for too long! He is still commandoing and gotten it down pat and pretty quick at it, crawling on all 4's just isnt his thing.

we had a lovely sunny sunday and spent most of it outside in the yard. I was cleaning and gardening at the same time Nixon was being my little helper and Tyron thought it was great to get IN the gardens. it was nice to be out in the warm sun and smelling the grass, trees, plants. our house we bought has immaculant gardens, something im trying to upkeep and i am excited to see how all the flowers are going to come out in spring just around the corner.

Hi Girls, I have a daughter born October 4th 2007 so I thought I would say hi. I also have a 2 and a half year old girl, going on 12!! She gives her little sister the run around that is for sure. But Tay just seems happy to go with the flow and loves her sister regardless of how many times she gets hit over the head! We have recently moved to Melbourne from Adelaide so I think its taking us all some time to settle in. My 9 month old has decided she doesnt want to sleep in her own bed anymore, so any tips on how to get her out of our bed would be appreciated.

    Hi all,
Welcome Karen, sorry can't give any tips on the sleeping cos Bella has always slept in her cot but I'm sure there's someone here that will be able to help you.
I've missed a few days, been busy organising DH's passport, been going up and down to Melb. Nothing has changed much, still waiting on these teeth to come out, they just seem to be taking ages. Now Bella has a rash on her chin thats gone all dry, think it's just a dribble rash, not really worrying her. Hope everyone is well.

    Regards,
    Dianne

Thanks Diane, both my girls were great sleepers until they hit teething time!

If it helps, I went through the dribble rash stage with my first girl. Nothing really much you can do about it from memory, it does go away! Mia used to get it on her chin and just under her chin on her neck. I just tried to keep her as dry as possible with plastic backed bibs! I found trying to put any type of cream on it made it heaps worse.

Hope it improves for you soon!

Hey girlies, just thought I'd duck in and say hi!

Both munchkins are sick again, a pretty bad cold this time so that's fun...NOT! Don't think DD will be going to preschool this week but I'll wait and see how she is in the morning.

L is doing great although day sleeps taken a bit of a dive with this cold and the poor thing is having trouble b'feeding because he can't breathe.

He's getting around like mad, can stand up and get down one handed now, thinks he's pretty clever, not 'cruising' as such but am sure he's not far off.
He's also waving and saying 'dyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye' (bye!) on command and clapping his hands. His favourite new toy is the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn playhouse thingo...not sure if you know what it is but he knows how to press all the buttons to make the music play (then dances LOL!) turns the light on and off, opens the door etc etc. Keeps him amused for ages.

Went to the toy sales but found it really hard to find stuff for him because all the baby toys we've already brought for DD and they're all still in really great condition. So we got him a big tonka dump truck for outside and a few little other bits and pieces, will probably get him some clothes later on. DH and I figured he won't know the difference so it doesn't matter so much this year. We are spending this christmas at mum and dad's up the coast so we have to lug everything up there too! But with L's bday in November and DDs in early Jan, we might just give them less for xmas and more for bdays this year so we don't have to take so many pressies with us.

Other than that, not much happening here. Got an awesome tax cheque this year so going shopping on the weekend! So excited. Getting a new washing machine, a built in robe for our room, laptop, new watch that I've had my eye on for months and months - too exciting! Can't remember the last time I was able to go an a shopping spree!

Mo - so stoked to see everything going well with Cookie...it's hard to keep the worry at bay at times but hopefully the further along you get the more your confidence will grow.

    Karen - welcome!

    Hey all!

Not much going on here, K is having a lovely long nap atm, so nice! Last night he slept from 8pm until 7am without waking once! He usually has one wake up during the night that requires a tuck in and a dummy, but he didn't need it last night, woohoo!!! I was absolutely BUSTING for the toilet when I woke up though because I'm so used to going when I get up to K LOL.

Welcome Karen! Sorry, I have no tips on moving your bub back into the cot. I hope you find a solution soon!

Willow - Woohoo on a great tax refund!!! DH is so boring, he makes us put ours straight on the mortgage so I never get to have a spending spree. One day our house will be paid off and he'll have no excuse to not let me go shopping!! Have fun on the weekend

Dianne - Are you planning an o/s trip or just your DH? DH got his passport renewed recently, but we're not going anywhere. He needs to have it handy in case his work want to send him to Japan. I hope they never do!

Nic - Clever Tyron standing! Your day in the garden sounds lovely

Mo - How are you feeling today?

Rebecca - Caravans aren't that cheap, but ours is 20 years old so we got a good deal. DH got paid a bonus at work so decided to splurge on something he's always wanted. I hope you get to move somewhere else soon! WA is great, I was born there .

Well, better run, K has just woken from a 2 hour nap! I wish he'd do that every day...

Thanks for being so welcoming girls. I didnt realise you were pregnant MO? How far along are you? We didnt really get to chat, I think that in that kind of situation its hard as I was running around with Mia who is shy unless I am doing things with her. We are also thinking about another baby, NO 3 for us. I think our way of thinking is to have them all close, so they grow up together. But we will probably wait more towards the end of the year, till Tay is 1 at least. Mia was about 9 months when I fell pregnant for the second time. I would like just a smidgeon more of a gap this time. Especially since Mia was not quite walking (at 18 months) when Tay was born.

Anyway must be going, time to cook some dinner. No rest for the wicked!

Girls, forgot to ask - want to get rid of my big 3 wheeler pram and get a stroller instead. Hardly use the pram these days (thanks to the Ergo ) and the times I do use it for shopping etc, it would be good to have something smaller, lighter and more compact. We want to get a new car next year too so getting rid of the big pram will help with that also. I have hesitated till now because of the unlikley event of having another baby but to be honest, I'd want a new pram anyway. We've got a Valco Runabout Deluxe but in the last 4 years there's been heaps of better 3 wheelers on the market, gonna sell ours on ebay for whatever we can get for it.

I remember a while back someone saying (Trish??) that Maclaren are the best brand? Toys R Us have a Maclaren Day Tripper on sale for $149...thinking of laybying it...what do you think? Are they really that much better, they seem to be quite a bit more expensive than other brands?

Willow - If you get a Maclaren you will NOT regret it! They really are the best. I'm in love with mine! $149 is such a bargain, what's the full price? I only use our Runabout for big walks these days, it never goes in the car, the Maclaren is always in the boot.

Karen - Wow, thinking about #3 already! What was it like coping with an 18 month age difference? I think both Mo and Ange will have a similar age difference with their #2s!

    Hey all

Been busy doing not much at all. L is slowly getting over his cold. Took him to the Dr on Monday as MIL thought she heard a rattle in L's chest. Well he doesn't so that is $70 wasted. But at least we have peace of mind which is worth a lot more.

Went to see Mamma Mia today. L was pretty good. Only in the last 10mins or so was he really restless, otherwise we did some chair dancing to those great ABBA songs. Was a much better experience than the last Babes in Arms session we went to.

Feeling like carp today. Think I've got L's cold. Just when I was starting to get better again. Hopefully will be able to go to work tomorrow (strange I know but I have so much to get organised for next week).

Good news - L starts 4 days a week at daycare next week. It will be good to finally get some predictability in the care and working arrangements.

    Karen -
Willow - been thinking about getting a stroller too. The boot of the car is full of baby stuff what with trolley liners, nappy bag, pram - there's nowhere to put the shopping!

Think I might head off to bed as we were up and down with L last night.

Yes thinking about No 3 already Willow, I was a late starter and am 34 now, so dont want to leave it much longer. Plus we dont want huge age gaps between the kids. I think I was in shock when No 2 arrived. We really wanted our second baby and after having one, thought that we would cope really well. But we have faced plenty of hurdles along the way and I think there are pros and cons with having two what ever age gap. At the moment we are having fun with our 2 and a half year old taking her frustrations out on our 9 month old. But I think its because Tay is now on the move, which commands more attention, which means Mia doesnt get as much of the spotlight. Sometimes I wonder about doing it again so quick, but we like a challenge! So in summary, its tough, but you manage. There are days when I pull my hair out more than others, and I am definately a lot greyer now. Thank goodness for hair dye!

Oh I so want to see Mumma Mia, was it good Saffi? Get well soon!

Hi ladies, just a little update and me and my girls for those interested

Me: Im going well. 18 weeks tomorrow and feeling great. 13 days til my scan (Tuesday 19th) so im very excited to see BumbleBee for the first time and with all luck find out if the right swimmer made it for my Prince! Craig is back home full time and im loving it. The girls love having Daddy home and lots of quality time with them has seen a huge improvement in both of them.

Jasmine: Mighty mouse is going well. She is now rolling more then ever, saying dad and nan, crawling she is mastering and now sitting by herself as well. Chelsea taught her how to clap so she thinks thats great fun, clapping together. Solids front is still a no go...not interested. Had her 6 month needles on the weekend and had a severe reaction...so once the 12 month ones are done, an objection form is being lodged. I dont have a very well bubby atm! Loving FDC and has a great time. At her 8 month check up she was 9690 grams 74 cm long which is amazing as thats what Chelsea was at 12 months!!

    Chelsea:
My little angel....she is going so well. Talking non stop, never sits still long enough to say boo too, lovign her 'sisshy' and always asking if she is OK. Chelsea is still a short lil thing...only around 80cm now (and Jas is now about 77-78cm) so not much difference!

Well thats about all....hope everyones babies are getting nice and big....ive not read back on any pages since i left so i hope everything is good and well!

Til my next update...ciao..and thanks to the few that keep in contact...means alot to me

Saffi- $70 for the Drs?? That seems expensive. What a rip off. I've been going so much lately they bulk bill me. That's a bit sad! Another closet ABBA fan here, i can't wait to see it!

Willow- Can not recommend the maclaren higly enough. I have pushed a few different strollers belonging to friends and they are just not as manouverable and easy to push. Also mine reclines, which is awsome as Lu sleeps in it sometimes. I don;t know about other strollers but this one has a rain cover as well, which is handy.

    Kazaraz.

Nickers- Lu commando crawled for the longest time, she was pulling her self up and walking behind the walker but still commando-ing. Then i put her outside on a deck and it was hurting her arms, so she just got up on all fours. But until then, she was getting everywhere she wanted at a pretty fast pace, so why bother changing. I sisn't think she'd ever crawl 'properly' but she proved me wrong! Nice work on the standing too Mr-T!

Mo- Are you for real? Phil-jr???? That is a cack. Is he serious?

I taught Lu how to high 5 yeasterday, she thinks it is hilarious. Keeps us both entertained for hours.

Off to MCHN this morn, got to run. xxxx Hi everyone else.

Kim - Great to hear from you! Glad the girls and you and going so well

Karen - It sounds pretty full on with your two, but it also sounds like you are handling it really well!

Saffi - I hope you feel better soon. That's great you've got L in DC for 4 days! Which day do you have off?

Been busy organising things for the boys weekend away, DH & Joel are soooo excited LOL! I've been doing all the packing/buying food, etc and I'm not even going!! It's meant to rain all weekend so I don't know how much fun they'll have, but good luck to them. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend with just K and I
