Amber - LOL OMG about the psychic!! Better keep Chels away from Myles so it doesnt come true lol... And I think I already told ya that we will definately be at Myles birthday? Anyway, tell ya agian, we will! LOL And good on ya for walking!

Trish - Awww what a gorgeous pic!!

Not much new here. Back to the Dr tomorrow just to make sure Chels isnt any worse. This morning she woke up and her measles were SOOOOO bad... poor little thing, but then by the end of the day I could see they were definately a lot better. I googled them and they say that measles are actually quite rare these days, and they usually last about 5 days.... so hopefully....

Anyway, off to bed! Talk to ye all soon!

    Hi everyone
We had Tahlia's 1st swimming lesson yesterday, she absoultely loved it, I couldn't get over how much she loved it. Maybe I have a future Olympic swimmer on my hands??

Pish - Fiji.... I'm very jealous. We 'might' be going there next year for a wedding, but we aren't 100% certain yet

Becky - Hope Chelsea gets better quickly

Amber - I'm also confused about Tahlia's day sleeps... she seems to need to change from what we have been doing, but I cant figure out exactly what she wants yet!

Trish - you poor things, hope you are all better real soon! How cute that K says 'woof'. I am definitely looking forward to the 23 degrees on Saturday!

It sure has been quiet in here - hope everyone is well

    Hi All

Been lurking. Nothing much happening in my life thats worth talking about, but thought I should pop in.

Becky - Poor Chels. Hope she gets better really soon. Has Liam had them? You don't want him to be the next one to come down with them. I read in the paper recently that measles is making a bit of a come back. Do kids get immunized against normal measles?
Amber - love the monkey suit. Must check out the flamingo suit. Sounds weird.
Trish - are you all feeling better? My friend had her baby last Wednesday. Boy named William. She needed a c-section as he was in breech. He was 3200gr (heavier than L) but only 45cm. He is so tiny. I don't remember L being anywhere near that small. How soon we forget.
Kellie - thinking about starting L in swimming lessons for the summer. Only down side is that I'd have to get in my swimmers as DH refuses to go anywhere near a pool.
Tiff - glad to hear that you and Tiera are doing well. Seriously jealous about Fiji.
Dianne - love the updated photo of Bella. She's got lots of lovely dark hair.
    Dragonbub -

Anyone heard from Viv lately? If you're lurking pop in and say hi.

DH reports that L said Dada yesterday. L's not saying much at the moment. We keep talking at him but he's happy just gooing. Love woof - we have a lot of barking around here L's first word should have been woof.
Tried L on the heinz organic custard today. He loved it. Of course it was spread from ear to ear and all over the highchair but got a decent amount into him. Something else that I can give him. Made pancakes for DH on Fathers Day and made up a few small ones for L. Loved them.

Got the day off tomorrow so I'll be around if anyone wants to chat. Mind you I am planning to defrost the freezer (did it this time last year when I was on Mat leave) and lots of washing, so I won't be relaxing. Hoping I might get an afternoon nap in.

    Talk more tomorrow.

    Morning everyone!

We're still sick, but are starting to improve thank goodness. I can actually smell and taste things today . I was given some chocolates the other day and I haven't started eating them yet, such a waste if I can't taste them LOL!

K is having a great time pulling himself up in his cot atm, he calls out if he can't get back down. He has a new trick too, he can brush is own hair! Last night after his bath I was trying to brush his hair, but he grabbed the brush out of my hands and started doing it himself . He's a bit un-co, but he seems to understand the concept! DH later tried to take the brush off K and he squawked and shook his head at DH, it was so funny! I have such a stubborn, determined little man!

Kellie - I'm glad Tahlia loved swimming. I'd love to take K, but it's hard when I've got Joel as well. DH & I keep saying we'll take both boys for weekend lessons, but somehow have never got around to doing it .

Saffi - Stop lurking and keep posting, I've missed you! Congrats to your friend on her little man, you really do forget how tiny they were don't you! Enjoy your day off today, even if you have to defrost the freezer! (Oh how I love my frost free freezer )

Becky - I hope Chelsea is much better today, hopefully she's over the worst of it. Is Liam at risk?

Hi to everyone else, if you're lurking make sure you come in and say hi!

    Good morning all.

Trish - Glad to hear you are starting to feel better! It is a total waste of good junk food eating when u cant taste it!! lol Thats so cute K is brushing his own hair, its amazing how quickly little ppl pick up on things!

Becky- I hope it was goodnews from the Dr about poor lil Chels. Nothing worse than having a sick baby... and my lil girl has never really been very sick at ll, only a cold! Hope she is all better before too much longer.

Saffi - I've not had a lot going on lately either! lol I know how u feel!

Boomba - I love that pic of Myles!!! It is so cute n I c y you have chosen that one for your invites!

Kelly - Tiera also loves swimming, good to her Tahlia enjoyed herself!

I can't believe how much all the bubs have grown up. Some have changed a lot n others just look older!

Not a lot to report on here. Yesterday DH had a colonoscapy (sp?) so I had to go n hang out in the little town of Gloucester for the day... hmmmm it was so boring, but I took Tiera to the park n had a play on the swings and the slippery dip n the see saw and she loved it! She was an angel all day. When I got back to the hospital to pick up DH, you'd never know anything had happened! He was fighting fit n no pain what so ever! I was so realieved!
Well today I am going to get some papers to make Tiera's birthday invites... Haven't yet decided on a layout, but that will come !

Take care all. I am sorry if I have missed anyone!

Its just 11.30am and I can report the freezer is defrosted, 2 loads of washing are on the line and a third on timer, had a shower and L is asleep. Phew, think I need to have a lie down.

Trish - for fathers day MIL gave DH a kilo of Cadbury favourites!! I didn't know they came in boxes that big. We have been snacking on them all week. Being at home today I decided I would send them to work with DH otherwise I'd be pigging out on them all day. Hopefully he will leave them there. I have no self control when it comes to choccies. Been eyeing off the Lindt bunny thats been in the fridge since easter tho.
Mo - how exciting 2 weeks until M's birthday. Are you having a big party? Starting to think about L's. No idea yet about themes etc.

Have any of the bubs had cake yet? I spotted a ladybug cake in a recipe book I thought I'd try but its got a lot of bright colourings and just don't feel good about giving him stuff like that yet. But it wouldn't be fair to have a cake for L and then not give him any. Could always go ahead and make a big cake for the adults and have a plain patty cake for him. Was also thinking about sending in some patty cakes to daycare as he will be there on his actual birthday. I still have the top tier of our wedding cake in the freezer (yes I found it) so might pull that out as the adult cake.

Thinking we might go for a walk when L wakes up. Maybe have some lunch out.........

    Hello all,
Had a hell of a week this week, Caden still hadn't recovered from gastro bug so pulled some pretty hard nights with the sleeping or lack of

SAffi - I haven't tried cake, but I think I am a bit conservative when it comes to food. My SIL was saying she had given her kids sausage by now, but I haven't given DS anything like that yet. I just think all the crap in them can't be good for him at the mo, but it would be nice to lighten up a little I guess! I spose moderation is the key, try a little bit and see how they react?

Trinity - our party plans are in full swing as well, it is a double with my mums 60th and Caden's first, so it should be a hoot! We are hiring a hall and I am in cake-making mode and invite mode at present.

Pish - poor DH! I hear they are awful

Becky - I hope Chels picks up soon. Hopefully they only lasted five days as you said.

Nickers - yeah we were in TTC thread! How cool. At least we can catch up more here

Well, as for us, not much happening except birthday planning and return to work planning. I actually do one day a week, and maybe one and a half days, but in October will be going back 3 days. Have others returned to work or planning to? How did you feel and cope with it? I am nervous, but also looking forward to it. It will be hard because my hours are weird and I work 100 km away, but hopefully only for 6 or so months until we move closer to my work.

Better go get these invites sorted, chat soon!

PS thanks for the warm welcome

Hey Dragonbub - just saw you're in Perth. We have another Perth girl in the thread so I'm sure she'd be happy to have a someone on that side of the country.

I'm a bit conservative too when it comes to food too, but we have tried sausages. L is in daycare 4 days a week so they just feed him whatever is on the menu for the day (they provide meals). At first I was a bit upset about it but then that is the sacrifice I have to make to have him there. I am sure if it were up to me I'd still be feeding him farex.

I've been back at work for 5 months. Started back full time as DH took leave to care for L and then used some leave and worked 3 days while we waited to build up L's days at childcare. I have now settled on a permanent arrangement of 4 days a week. I was a mess on my first day back and cried whenever anyone looked at me. I find I cope by being organised. The bottles are made up the night before, the breakfast dishes are laid out ready for the morning, etc. I've even stocked up the fridge at work with breakfast and lunch options so I don't have to worry about skipping breakfast or buying and expensive lunch. You'll settle into an arrangement that works for you. My advice tho would be to start Caden in whatever care you've arranged a week or so before you go back to work. That way you'll both start to get used to it before you go back and it won't be so emotional when the big day comes.

Anyway L's awake so got to go.

Trish had m/s from 8-16weeks with Maddi & we got Phil a GPS system(he's always getting lost).
What did the boys get Cam for fathers day?

Saffi it's going to be mostly family, dont really have any friends with kids yet.
Phil's dad has 9 siblings & most of them are coming with thier kids so guess it will be big.
So glad i'm not having it here lol.

Love all the new pics of everyones kids, they have grown up so much!

Hi everyone! Its been a little while but I see everybody is doing all sorts of different things.
Saffi- what about natural food colourings for the cake. Caitlyn has had cake but no icing or anything, she did have a bit of my tim tam the other day though. Little miss piggy! Caitlyn has had sausages. Skin off she loves them! We are trying all sorts of stuff now....mum and dad food. she has spag bog quite a bit when i get the time to make it.
Dragonbub- I returned tow ork 25 per week three months after C was born. then not so long ago I went to 32.5 a week, Now I am fulltime but have the luxury of being able to work from home.
I think if DH worked regular hours it wouldnt be so bad but our house is absolute chaos come 5 when i get C from daycare (oh how i wish they supplied meals!!). But at least i can do washing during the day and vacuum more regularly. its nice!
DH came home nice and early today - 11 am - but only to drop the car off, pack his bag and head to Doomadgee. I dont exactly know where it is but it is approx 6 hours drive. Of course 3 came around and daycare called me to go get Caitlyn. She had a temp of 39. I got there thinking, yeah right, last time they called and said she had a high temp i got her home and it was normal. But noooo this time it was high. So panadol, tepid bath, cuddles, attempt at dinner/bottle (no go) and more cuddles and off to bed. her temp has come down a lot. Will see how she goes overnight. It could just be her tooth i guess - its taking a LONG time to come through.
Oh and the big news (drum roll please.............) shes crawling!!! Only a little but she gets the idea now!! YAY she isn't just a blob anymore!!! She is pulling herself up too.....but pretty much only when she is in the bath!! Grrr gotta stop that!
Anyway I really HAVE to get away from this computer - am in front of it all day long and just can't stand the thought of spending my night in front of it too.
Hope you are all going well!!

Viv maybe it's Ange, she's had pretty bad m/s this time.

Rebecca M's on to 3 bottles a day now, she has when wakes, one around 2-4pm & one around bed time.
She's also dropped how much she has in a bottles now she has 120-180mls now.
That being said she also has a kiddy drink bottle with water she drinks during the day, plus her solids.
    Congrats on C crawling

Thanks saffi and Rebecca, I already have bub in family day care once a week at present cos I do some casual work for a friend. At first I was worried about it, but now am SO glad I did it because it was a HUGE transition for me, and I just can't imagine going back to work 3 days per week "cold turkey" so to speak. I know it will still be hard, but at least I know Caden is ok with a lovely lady and can be left there and will be safe. Luckily she provides meals so it is mainly breakfast and bottles (EBM) that I need to organise the night before. It looks as if I will be working mon, wed, fri, which will be harder to work, but easier at home knowing I have the next day off

Saffi - who is the other lady from Perth?

Rebecca, sorry to hear about Caitlyn. A 39 temp is high for teething? Maybe an ear infection? Apparently these may coincide with teething and can get confused. Hopefully she cheers up soon.

Ninja - LOL about your dream. I am sure it isn't me as we are definitely NOT trying! About half the ladies I know with bubs around our age are trying now though, which has certainly made me think but no, no more babies for the mo.

Well, am supposed to be getting ready for work so better go!
