Morning all,
Wow what a sleep in. Long weekends are great. Ethan woke us up at 4.45am screaming. He wouldn't drink his milk before bed and he had a slight temp so I am guessing it was teeth. He eventually went back to sleep and dh crashed as soon as Ethan stopped crying. Me on the other hand tossed and turned and coughed till 6.30. But Ethan slept in till 9.45 this morning so it was ok.
Saffi - Happy Wedding aniversary. 6 years! That's great. We had 4 this year. Enjoy the bbq. Great to hear about you new hobby. I am thinking of making cards too now as they are cheaper than buying them and I love scrapbooking so I will join you on that front.
As far as birthdays go- Ethan is the 15th. We are having a small family bbq at Mum's place. Our house is a matchbox so couldn't fit everyone in. Dh and I are making a train cake. Or at least trying. I am looking forward to it. Ethan got his first presents yesterday. My aunt is going away for the month so she wanted to giver her present to Ethan before she left. Also gave him his present from my grandmother who passed away a few weeks ago. That was a bit sad.
Our camping trip went well, although K had a terrible night's sleep! He is teething, so I think it was a combo of teeth and being in a different bed. He had a long nap in the caravan yesterday morning though so I think he was getting used to it. Joel had a wonderful time at the beach, he even went swimming which was pretty brave because the water was soooo cold!
We got to see our beautiful new niece when we got home last night. She is so tiny and gorgeous!
I'm not sure if it's because K's teething, but he has had diarrhea for about a week now and he vomits once a day. Joel, DH & I are all fine so that's why I'm guessing it's the teething. I have no idea if this is normal so I rang the MCHN line this morning, but I have to wait for them to call me back. I cut out cows milk for a few days in case he is reacting to that, but it made no difference. He is waking frequently most nights so it must be his teeth. But the poor little man constantly has a nappy rash. He poos constantly and it is so acidic that it just burns his skin.
alz - I'm so jealous, we don't have a public holiday here in Vic! Our next one is Melbourne Cup day in November. I hope Ethan has a better night's sleep tonight. I HATE teething!
Nic - Thanks so much for doing the list, you rock! Sounds like you had a big one yesterday!
Saffi - Happy anniversary for yesterday! We had our 6 year one earlier this year. DH & I both forgot our 5 year anniversary until the day after . A new barbie sounds great, I'm sure you'll have some yummy BBQ's thanks to your clever cooking skills!
Celtic - Hopefully you are resting that foot while staying with your parents! How's the nausea???
Dragonbub - What sort of business are you going to be doing? How exciting!
Kellie - How did the photo session go? I'd love to get something like that done, but DH hates spending money LOL!
Amber - CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so awesome! Well done to you and Geoff!!!! You should be very proud of yourselves
Becky - Have you taken a break from TT Liam? Whatever you do, don't let it stress you out, they do get it eventually!
Mo - How are you feeling? I hope you haven't had any more bleeding.
Ange - When you used to camp at Point Leo did you stay at the first caravan park as you go in? We stayed at that one (at the booth where you pay to park) and it was so good!
Hi to everyone I've missed!

Trish- Nah they are the powered sites, we slummed it down near the point in the unpowered sites. Glad you had a good time away.
Happy wedding anniversary Saffi.
Lu has a new way of showing her love. Last night in the bath she did, what a refer to as, 'a sickie burp' a little regurgitation of dinner, chicken to be precise. Well, she had a chew, then got a bit out and tried to put in my mouth. Lovely!
AND Happy birthdya to Maddison if you happen to be lurking Ursula!
Hi to everyone else and big thanks for Tay's birthday wishes
We had the best day on Saturday and the cake turned out really well ... yay! The weather ended up being great and everyone had fun! We are really lucky and proud to have Tay in our lives and are very blessed to share her special day with our friends and family. I intend to put some pictures on facebook if anyone is interested? PM me and I will give you my name to add me. I have tried putting pics on here, once and it was hard. Maybe I am just going the long way around?
We went to the zoo yesterday with my family. What a great day and how great is the Melbourne Zoo. I have been before, but forgot just how good it is. The kids were so well behaved, it makes me wonder what my parents think, because everytime they visit my kids turn into angels? Go figure.
Tayl, knock on wood, has been going to bed at 7-.730 the last 3 nights, sleeping through, no crying through the night and waking up at 8am or later. We are ecstatic, considering this is the child that cry through the night normally!
Anyway better go clean my house that resembles a bomb site!
