    Hi all

Amber - your birth story was amazing and quick!
Trish - how are you doing? How's K?
Mo - poor Kodi! Are there other ABs she can take? Your girls really have been through the illnesses this year.
Kaz - so glad that Mia is doing better.
Tiff - we think she is gorgeous too! I can't believe she is 3 months already, time flies when you're at home looking after a baby.
Julia - yay for feeling better.
    Hi to everyone else!

Poor L has had an allergic reaction to mozzie bites. Despite putting repellent on his face, feet etc he has been bitten alive. Not only does he have the bites on his face but around his forehead and eyelids are all swollen. DH is going to talk to the chemist today to see what he can take but thinking I might need to take him to the Dr.

Hey everyone! I'm surviving over here LOL! So many dramas while DH is away. Yesterday I went to get K out of bed and asked him to hop up, but he said "Stuck!" and couldn't get up. Once I got him out of bed he refused to walk and couldn't bear his weight. I put him on the couch and he sat there ALL morning, crying and in pain. His left knee was swollen so I made an appointment at the GP for the arvo. Luckily my mum could come and help and she helped me get Joel to and from kinder (I was going to have to try and carry both K and Alana ) and get K to the GP. Luckily by the arvo the swelling had gone down a lot and he was starting to walk around. The GP said it could be an infection in his knee joint which is really serious, so I've been watching for redness and a temp. He seems better today, he's a bit sore and stiff, but much better than yesterday.

Alana had a SHOCKING night last night, she wanted to feed every three hours and needed resettling at 4:30am and 5:30am, then K wanted to get up at 6:45am, yuck!

On top of that, our dog is limping! He looked a bit sore for a while and then he yelped while I was outside and is holding one of his front paws up. Please don't tell me I need to get him to the vet!!! It's amazing how things go wrong when DH is away LOL!

DH emailed me from Japan this morning saying his eyes and bridge of his nose are all swollen, he thinks it's conjunctivitis. The poor thing!

Saffi - Poor L, I hope you can find a way to get the swelling down.

Mo - Poor Kodi . Here's hoping after she gets over this sickness/allergy that she'll stay well for the rest of the year!

Kaz - I'm glad Mia is on the mend

Tiff - Sounds like Tiera is doing great! Well done mummy

Kim - Take care of yourself and your gorgeous family .

Hope you all have a great day!

Saffi - We have really bad sandflies here so I know how you feel about the little man's bites. SIL took T down the back a few days ago, claims she sprayed her before taking her down, but she came home covered in bites, poor little girl. Hope the bites clear up really soon.

Trish - My goodness, you certainly do have your hands full there! I started laughing when was reading what K was doing in thr morning until you said he was crying in pain, I thought he was just being a character... Poor little man. Isn't that strange that it just came out of no where. I guess he'd be an active little man. T is very active and I find bruses and pumps on her and have no idea where she got them .... Is that as bad as it sounds?! Poor DH and puppy too. My goodness, when it rains it pours!!! Luckily your mum isn't too far to help you out.

Nothing to report here. T's coughing was terrible this morning and hse could not breath. She tried so hard to cry and got out mummy then just coughed and coughed and coughed... This was at 5:30 this morning so I just gave her her puffer and sat with her asleep in my arms trying to help her breath. Poor little Miss, I felt so helpless.

Anyways ladies, I shall be off. Have a great day.

    Hey all...

So many sick bubs in here at the moment - hope they are all feeling much better soon.

Trish - Wow, you're having a great time so far huh?! Hope K is OK. I thought it was a bit suss the other day when you said he kept telling you he was 'stuck'. Hopefully it's nothing but if he keeps complainging, I'd take him for an xray or u/sound or something I think. Anyway, I'm sure you're on top of it. I finally got that hammock I borrowed this weekend. Have set it up tonight and the little man is asleep in it now. He is sleeping fine in his bassinette but figured if I could get him to sleep longer at night that would be great but mainly I'm hoping he'd be able to stay in the hammock longer than the bassinette because I'm not ready to move him into his room yet and while his cot would fit in our room, it'd be a bit crowded. How is Alana going in her hammock? They are a bit hard to get used to if you haven't used one before I think! I keep coming in to check on him cause he looks all squished in there Anyway, he settled pretty well. The last few nights he has been really hard to settle initially but then slept OK. Bugger! I just sneezed and woke him

The one I have is really old I think, it doesn't look like the newer ones but it is an Amby I think. Anyway, will see how he goes in it, if it's no good then I will just give it back and wait until he grows out of his bassinette and go from there!

Mo - How is Kodi's rash going? Poor poppet has had a rought trot. Hope she's feeling better soon.

I'd better go, little man needs to be resettled

Will try and pop back later.

Willow - I'll definitely be getting K looked at if he gets worse. He's actually improved heaps today and has been running around really well. It still hurts him when I touch it though so we're not out of the woods just yet. Re: the hammock, they do look a bit squishy if you're not used to it LOL! Hopefully it works well for you guys. I only put Alana in it for her day naps, I bounce her in it to settle her and help her go to sleep. She has been having some great naps in it, up to 3 hours sometimes. Her night sleeps have been going downhill since she got sick a couple of weeks ago, I'm really hoping she goes back to normal soon. A huge problem is that she gets out of her wrap and it wakes her right up. I have tried lots of different ways of wrapping her, but she is a little Houdini, it's driving me nuts! Tonight I'm trying her in a Swaddle Me that my SIL lent me. Fingers crossed it works! Oh, and thanks for the thank you card, I got it last week. D looks SO cute in the photo!

Tiff - Poor Tiera, I hope her cough improves soon. I had to go on Ventolin when I got bronchitis when I was pg with Alana, it really helped. You're doing a great job of cuddling her and looking after her .

    Saffi - Here's hoping!

Better go and have a shower before the little Miss has her dream feed. Hopefully K falls asleep soon, he's been in bed since 7:30pm, but is still making noise. Joel is in the same room and is fast asleep through all the chatter!

Trish - well that was not a good first attempt in the hammock! I ended up taking him out of it and putting him back in his bassinette cause I couldn't resettle him. Will try him again tomorrow during the day. He is sleeping OK during the day but hasn't done 3 hours for about 2 weeks now...about 2 hours is as good as it gets at the moment. That's probably normal though, given he is almost 3.5 months old He is still having 3-4 naps, so I'm happy that he's getting enough sleep during the day. We went away for the weekend and ironically he slept better there than he has been at home - he was perfect! LOL. He is still waking twice at night for feeds but I'm OK with that for now, he's straight back to sleep so it's not too tiring.

A friend gave me some of those Kiddopotamus wrap thingos (are they the same thing??)...let me know if you want to borrow them and I'll send them to you. I have 3 and am not using them for D.
