Just a quick update of how we are going and went with Luka's delivery:

So last week went as planned to a point. We arrived at hospital at 6am, were taken down to theatre around 8.30am and we were all ready to head in when an emergency come through. This pushed us back around 40 minutes and we went in just after 9. We went to this room and the spinal was put in and we were wheeled in to the actual theatre. All good so far. They got everything going, monitors, screens etc and then the doctor proceeded to make the first incision. That is probably where things started going wrong ... they had a hard time cutting through my previous scarring and when they finally got to Luka he was coming out head and hands first. He must have got a fright or something, because as soon as they tried to grab him he moved really high in my belly and turned back to his breech position. They tried to get him out with forceps but that didn't work and I could feel the sensations of them trying lots of different things. FInally he come out, bum first and not doing to well. The doctor said he was stunned, but we have since found out he was not breathing yet. The timing between them pulling your baby out and that first cry is undescribable. I asked what was wrong and Bruno went over whilst they worked on our boy and resuscitated him. He finally let out a cry and then quiet again, only followed a little while later by lots and lots of crying to a very relieved mummy and daddy! They kept him in theatre with us for quite a while and he was monitored very closely. They then took Bruno and Luka back to our room and I got stitched up. So when I got back to the room, I was just relieved to have my baby boy in his daddy's arms. He was very marked on his face, if you have seen the photos on facebook you will see what I mean. The next 2 days were a bit hard for him as well, he had a bloodtest because of his traumatic birth to make sure all was ok and it come back showing his platelet count was low. He also had low blood sugar which led them to think that I had undiagnosed diabetes. He was so lethargic and after speaking to our doctor we thought the best thing for him was to give him a formula feed to see if he picked up. This was after we had nurses coming in saying how concerned they were with him as he was so floppy and slept constantly. Never woke for feeds or anything. The doctor come back and they re-did his blood and his platelet count picked up yay .. this meant he didn't have to go on iv anti's for 5 days in the nursery, feeding tube and all that. He was then test for jaundice twice and he is just below the level of concern. He is feeding better and he didn't put on weight in his check today, so we are crossing our fingers he does tomorrow otherwise he has to have yet another blood test. As you can see, he has had a pretty hard start and I call him my little pin cushion. I am so glad to have him here, but I just want my boy healthy. He is getting there.

Good news no more pelvic instability symptoms ... so so good!

So happy to be back in the land of normal. Be great to get back into the swing of things!
